Welcome back to A Song Of Spiders And Dragons. Last time, after discovering a clue at Consolidated Shipping that points to a possible connection with Tombstone, Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder were ambushed by a special forces team known as Sable Interational, hired by Mayor Osborn in the wake of the city hall disaster, led by Silver Sable, who Cynder apparently knows. Realizing this is a wrinkle nobody planned on, the trio departs. So, what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes a few minutes after everybody left Consolidated Shipping, as Yuri calls our terrific trio)

Yuri: Hey, sorry for the lack of warning on the whole Sable thing. It all just happened so fast.

Spider-Man: No worries, Yuri, we're still best buds.

Yuri: We were never "best buds"

Spider-Man: Well that got dark in a hurry.

Yuri: And I need to follow up on this, did Cynder actually say she knew Silver Sable?

Cynder: Yeah, like Sable said, we met at a symposium in Sokovia. Ended up striking up quite the unlikely friendship.

Yuri: Sounds like that would have been good to tell the mayor. She's got his ear and unlimited authority.

Spyro: Nice, maybe she and Cynder can act as liaisons between us and Osborn.

Cynder: Don't count on it. Sable's incredibly picky with who she trusts. I know she trusts me, Spyro's a solid possibility, so it's really Spidey here who's the problem with that.

Spider-Man: Good to know.

Yuri: Speaking of intel. We searched the address you sent us, found plenty of evidence of a bomb plot, but no hard evidence linking it to Martin Li.

Spyro: Are you kidding me?! He owns the freaking place!

Yuri: One really isn't enough. It could just be coincidence, at least that's the department's stance.

Spider-Man: We'll see what else we can find. (Hangs up and dials MJ) Hey, MJ.

MJ: Good timing. I've been digging into Martin Li's business holdings, he's got a lot more places around town than we thought.

Cynder: The data seems to line up with a map we found at Consolidated Shipping. We'll give them a good checking out.

Spider-Man: First think though, we've got to figure out why Martin is doing this. It makes sense to check out his office at F.E.A.S.T. there may be something here.

MJ: Cool. Let me know what you find. And say hi to May for me! Wait, do you think she's in danger?

Spider-Man: No.

Spyro: I'm with Pete on this one. It seems his one and only target is Osborn. We'll let you know what we find.

(And with that, the group hangs up the call, and before anyone knows it, they're walking into the kitchen of the F.E.A.S.T. Center, where Aunt May is still doing her thing.)

Aunt May: (Seeing the new arrivals) Oh, Peter, Spyro, Cynder, good to see you guys.

Spider-Man: Wait, if you're running the place while Mr. Li's out of town, who's doing your job?

Aunt May: You're looking at her. But, we could always use more help.

Cynder: And I think we know somebody.

Aunt May: Do tell.

Spyro: His name's Miles. Miles Morales.

Aunt May: That name sounds... familiar.

Spyro: His father was being honored at City Hall.

Aunt May: Oh.

Cynder: You can trust us on this one. Miles is an incredibly smart kid. This is probably the roughest patch he's gone through in his life.

Aunt May: (Subtly looking at Spider-Man) I knew a boy like that once.

Spider-Man: (Getting the hint) And I remember it helped to stay busy.

Spyro: (Texts Aunt May something) I just texted you his mom's phone number.

Aunt May: I'll give her a call. Thanks, you three.

Spyro: Just doing what we can.

Spider-Man: Hey, quick question, have you heard from Mr. Li at all?

Aunt May: No. Should I have?

Cynder: Just curious.

Spider-Man: (Checks his watch) Well, we've got a few minutes before meeting Doctor Octavius, we're going to just see if anyone here needs help with anything.

Aunt May: Oh, you don't have to do that.

Spider-Man: We know. We want to.

(And with that, putting a smile on Aunt May's face, the group heads out of the kitchen and up from the main room)

Cynder: Now's our best chance to check Martin's office.

(And within minutes, the group is up at Martin Li's office, when one of the patrons sees them)

F.E.A.S.T. Patron: Hey, how are you three?

Spyro: Doing as good as we can.

F.E.A.S.T. Patron: May said you guys were at City Hall when it got bombed. I was praying for you, we all were.

Spider-Man: Thanks, that's really nice of you.

(As the patron walks away, we see Cynder has been trying the door)

Cynder: Bad news, locked up tight.

Spyro: There's got to be a way in.

Spider-Man: (Looking up) Like maybe a vent?

(Getting the idea, Spyro and Cynder check around, making sure nobody is coming.)

Cynder: Coast is clear.

Spyro: Then up we go.

(As quick as a flash, Spider-Man webs his way into the vent, with Spyro and Cynder close behind him, ending our scene for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. Admittedly not much happening this time, just finding some hopefully therapeutic work for Miles Morales in the wake of tragedy.
