ATTENTION. Something very important in this chapter, it has a strong sexual part in what a ritual entails, it is not so exaggerated, but if you are very sensitive, I left it marked in case you are not interested in reading it, they are between two horizontal lines.
CHAPTER 2: THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE BEGINS
When the twins went to Hogwarts the following year, the house was even emptier. Because there were fewer people, Ginny took the opportunity to explore the Burrow and found in the attic, (once the ghoul who lived there no longer screamed at her), a stack of old books, all of them written by the Weasley women.
In them was all the information that her parents had not been able to give her, terrifying and exciting information.
She took the books to the Lovegood house, where she could read them in peace with Luna and Pandora's help. Luna was the sweetest, kindest person she had ever met, so warm to Ginny despite all the information they were getting from the books.
The two girls stayed together all the time, played Merlin and Morgana, fetched the wrinkled-horned snorkack, and even had sleepovers at both the Lovegood and Weasley houses.
On one occasion, Bill, who had just graduated from Hogwarts, even accompanied them to London to see a Muggle Zoo that Mrs. Lovegood wanted to visit.
When the year 1990 came and both girls turned nine years old they even wanted to celebrate a birthday party together in May, which was even attended by the Muggle children who lived in the village, as Pandora was very popular as a singing teacher.

"My mom loves you." Luna said to her one day while they were both lying on the grass, "I'm very happy because you're good and sometimes she doesn't recognize bad people."
"Am I good?" If Mrs. Lovegood or any other adult would listen to her, they would have realized how insignificant she felt, but it was Luna. Even though she was smart and wise, she was still a child.
"Of course, you're good, you always want others to be happy, you like others to learn from what you know, and you're honest." Luna said it like it were the most obvious thing in the world. "I wish you were my sister and lived here with me."
Ginny felt her throat constrict and just took Luna's hand and smiled at her.
She felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have such a dear friend by her side and such a kind second mother.
All that newfound happiness ended two years after it began, when the gag she wore every night didn't work and the piercing screams woke up her parents. When Ginny began to convulse from the pain, unresponsive to any stimuli, Molly and Arthur took their younger children and appeared at St. Mungo's, where despite the screaming and struggle, they sedated Ginny with potions.

A normal day started with the routine of every day. Luna woke up smelling the breakfast, her parents were already waiting for her when she went downstairs to the dining room to have breakfast together.
After breakfast, her mom took her to cut flowers to decorate the house and then to her greenhouse to harvest the herbs she had been growing. When Ginny's usual time to arrive came, she didn't show up. Luna worried but Pandora reassured her little girl, reasoning that Molly had probably wanted to spend the day with her daughter.
Plans would change, that day she had agreed to go shopping in the village and Pandora would let them stay for a few hours with the Muggle children of the village. Taking advantage of Ginny's absence, Pandora planned to practice a new enchantment she had found.
"Mummy, will Ginny stop having nightmares with this?" Luna asked with huge, innocent eyes following Pandora.
"That's the plan, love, it's a deep sleep charm, a variant of the coma curse. I need to practice it, so I don't put Ginny at risk when I use it on her." Pandora smiled at Luna.
"I'm glad Mummy, I love Ginny very much and I don't want her to have bad dreams anymore, I'll also practice helping her always." Luna jumped with excitement at the thought of being useful to her dear friend.
"I'm so proud of you dear, for being so good and considerate to everyone, I love you very much, Luna." Pandora caressed and kissed her daughter one last time.
Then she uttered the incantation that would reap her life.

A few days before the older Weasley brothers returned to Hogwarts, an old man with long white hair and beard arrived at the Burrow after breakfast. At the sight of the man, Bill and Charlie stood up.
Arthur and Molly approached him and led him into the courtyard, where Dumbledore cast a wordless incantation and isolated the words, then conjured three chairs and the three sat down on each.
"Professor, thank you very much for coming. Arthur began as his wife wrung her hands nervously.
"We don't know what to do, Professor," Molly suddenly exclaimed as she tried to stifle her tears. "Since the horrible death of dear Pandora, Ginny hasn't been herself again, it's like she had died in life, she doesn't want to eat, she can't sleep, and had she just cried day and night for one month. Before, Luna was a comfort, but when we went to the funeral, she told Ginny that her mother had died because of her."
"She didn't say it on purpose, of course, the little girl just wanted to tell her that Mrs. Lovegood was working on an enchantment to break my little girl's nightmares. Ginny went crazy at the funeral, we had to take her away, she was screaming and banging and slamming herself on the floor, and she had to be sedated in St. Mungo's, but in the end, they told us there that they couldn't do anything about the nightmares." Arthur continued Molly's story, trying to explain to the professor what had happened.
"At first, we only gave her a potion to sleep without sleep, but the healer told us that it was dangerous to give it to her often, that later she would not be able to put it down and she would hallucinate even more." Molly finally let her tears fall and hugged her husband, heartbroken.
Professor Dumbledore was silent for a moment, then asked, "What do you want me to do?"
"Help us, Albus, please, help my little girl." Molly grabbed the sleeve of the old wizard's robe and pleaded.
"Dear Molly, I would love to help, but divination is a subject about which nothing can be learned without family knowledge, only the books of your own family can give you answers." Albus reached out and patted Molly comfortably on the shoulder.
"But, Albus, isn't there something? Perhaps you can come up with a way to seal it up, to remove this horrible curse." Arthur said desperately, as he picked up his wife and hugged her again. "The family books that the women of the family had written were missing, it hadn't seen them for decades and it couldn't find them. "
There was a long silence and finally, Albus suggested something...
o-o-o-o
Molly Weasley loved her baby, she loved all her children just as strongly, but Ginny was her little girl, her only girl, the last of all her babies. She didn't want her to suffer, she wanted to spare her all the pain, to keep her in a bubble where nothing could harm her... But she couldn't. Those damn visions of a terrifying future tortured her poor little girl every night, and every day, she couldn't control them.
Professor Dumbledore had suggested using that ritual, he assured them that the blood would seal those abilities until marriage, and protect her mind and souls from pain for at least eleven years, when she turned 20 years old their daughter could talk to them about marriage, and when she got engaged, Molly and Arthur would explain what they had done to protect her. She would have been an adult in that moment, a woman mentally prepared for her abilities, and she would have lived years in peace, without those nightmarish visions.
"Are you sure, love?" Arthur asked doubtfully, Molly was sure now, that they couldn't hesitate to protect their daughter, despite what the ritual entailed. She had experienced it herself, it was frightening, but once she finished that she lived in tranquility, with an inner peace that no one could understand, and she gave the parents confidence in the freedom of their daughters. She could still remember when the teachers found them in the astronomy tower, how terrified and embarrassed she felt when they called her parents, and how happy she was when her father only told her that it wasn't safe to go out at night and that if she wanted to hang out with her boyfriend they could be in the common room or some empty room. But she couldn't help but remember… if her father hadn't died prematurely her marriage to Arthur wouldn't have been possible. What if her daughter wanted to marry someone her father didn't approve of? What if, (as Minerva had done), she wanted to keep her last name? What if deceived, she married someone cruel, who beat and abused her, and could never divorce or separate from him?
"Yes, it will be the best thing for her, she will be safe and secure." Once his wife nodded and agreed, Arthur began to prepare everything, it had been many years since his father had explained the ritual to him. There had been no Weasley daughters in over a century, and all he possessed was theoretical knowledge of ritual and family runes.
At least her deceased brothers-in-law had explained to him how they had performed Molly's ritual. He would not perform her beloved daughter blindly.
o-o-o-o
They took Ron to Aunt Muriel, their other children were at Hogwarts, and they only called Bill to assist his father. Their firstborn knew the ritual, he had been traveling for two years and studying curses to be able to break them, and that ritual was one of the few irreversible, he was worried about putting his little sister under that protection, but if his parents were desperate enough, he had no right to judge them.
They took the runes out of their place, from behind their mother's clock, and placed them in a circle in the backyard, near the pond. It was the first time he had seen the family runes, it was beautiful, hand-carved from polished stone, it had been around for centuries, and every year that passed added power to them. Ancient magic, with each ritual, grew stronger and with each passing year they became more valuable, a true treasure that only pureblood families could possess.
His father came out dressed in a white robe, with a bowl and a knife with runes on the handle, both objects were pure silver, blood could not be obtained by magic, and only silver did not interfere with the properties of blood. He watched as his father opened both arms with the knife and filled the bowl, then placed blood on each rune, filling the cracks carved into each stone, which were all filled with blood and glowed and absorbed the red liquid.
At that moment his mum arrived with his little sister holding hands, Ginny was wearing a long white sleeveless dress. She looked as cute as a forest fairy, Bill smiled at her and his little sister ran into his arms excited to see him. She looked a little dazed, almost drunk, but it was obvious that the sedation potion prepared by her mother with the specific instructions of the ritual was having the expected effect.
However, before she could hug her older brother, Ginny watched in fright as they were all dressed and the knife in her father's hand. She would have screamed if her mother didn't hold her hand at that moment.
Bill took her other hand and they both led it to their father, who had placed himself in the center of the circle. Ginny was placed in front of her father, on a giant stone that allowed her father to see her face throughout the ritual.
Arthur walked up to her and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, smiling sadly when his little girl shuddered with horror when he touched her. Bill stood behind Ginny and didn't allow her to move, and held her arms open from behind, while their father painted each family rune on Ginny's flesh with his blood.
Once he had finished drawing each rune, still with the silver knife in his hand, he took his little girl's hands and began to speak.
"Pure Sanguis, quod ille antiquum documentum Novo cedat ritui" He spoke each word carefully as he put his hands on Ginny's head and closed her eyes with his fingers. "Te ergo quæsumus, tuis fámulis súbveni, quos pretióso sánguine redemísti."
"Genitori, Genitoque; Laus et Jubilatio, Salus, honor, virtus quoque Sit et benedictio" Arthur finished the first part, and at a sign from him, Bill lifted his sister from behind, putting his arms under her armpits and supporting both legs with his arms, opening her for their father.
"Ginevra," Molly walked over to them, and for the first time since she was a baby, she uttered her daughter's full name. "Say the words we reviewed, love."
Ginny obeyed her mother's words, deprived of all inhibition by the potion, repeating every sentence her mother whispered in her ear. "Pater Fiat voluntas tua sed libera nos a malo."
"Pure Sanguis, agnoscis me. Pure Sanguis, save me. Pure Sanguis, defendat me. O bone Sanguis, exaudi me. Intra tua maiorum absconde me. Ne permittas me separari a te. Ab hoste maligno defende me"
His little daughter pronounced every word perfectly well, Arthur was proud of his intelligence, but a gloomy expression took over his face. He slowly approached and with his left hand lifted her daughter's dress and left her pubis and vagina exposed to the air.
Distraught but determined, he brought the knife to his daughter's vagina and made two small cuts on either side of the clitoris, then used the same instrument and opened his finger with the tip of the knife. He guided the wound on his finger rubbed the blood coming out of Ginny and mixed it with his blood.
"Ginevra, filia, da virginitatem tuan viro tuo, ut purissimum sanguinem nostrum defendat te. Utque nunc te sanguis meus protegit, cruor viri tui te proteget." Arthur brushed his blood-soaked fingers against her labia as he continued to say the words. As the runes and spilled blood lit up in a blue light, a sign that the ritual was activated and working. He remembered his own father's words, if the daughter was not pure the light would turn red, all traces of pleasure in sex would be taken over by the runes, and the maiden's sexual organs would be deformed into a blackish mass. That is why the ritual was done before leaving home and going to Hogwarts, some did it even on the third birthday when the daughter could already repeat the words of the ritual.
"Ginevra, filia, audite et obedite. Virgo, patri obeyed. Dominam parere viro tuo. Vidua, obedire filio tuo. Honora, ama, et obedite viro tuo. Nullus homo vel homo target corpus tuum et vivet." When the prayer was over, the glow of the runes and blood suddenly increased and joined the air, and then rushed upon Ginny's body.
Arthur quickly removed his hands from his daughter's body and pulled down her skirt, covering her nakedness. Bill let go of her and left her lying on the stone, practically unconscious. As soon as the light entered Ginny, both men didn't dare touch her, and only Molly came forward and placed it on her lap, sobbing words of apology to her unconscious daughter.
The ritual was over, and what followed was the most shameful thing they would ever do, even more so than having uncovered a girl's genitals. Bill raised his wand before Ginny woke up and with a memory charm blocked all memories of his sister's clairvoyance and ritual, binding them to the light that was still in her womb and slowly wasting away. When the protective spell was completed fulfilling its purpose, his sister would regain her memories. But until then, she could live in peace and without the nightmares and torment she lived with every day.
o-o-o-o
Ginny felt like she woke up from a nightmare she had already forgotten, she felt like she couldn't remember something important. Sometimes, when something happened, like when Charlie broke his arm in his last Quidditch match, she felt like it had happened before, even though her brother had never broken a bone.
"It's okay Ginny, that feeling has happened to me too, it's called déjà vu." Percy comforted her when he saw her on their Christmas vacation, they were both sitting beside the Christmas tree, Percy was sitting on the couch with a book on his lap, while Ginny was sitting at his feet, hugging her favorite brother's legs as she told him what was happening to her lately.
Percy only suspected that his parents had done something, but he didn't know what. Ginny forgot everything about her visions, the nightmares had stopped, and she didn't even look for him at night anymore to protect her from the nightmares. Something in him squeezed at the fact that he was no longer useful to the person he loved most, but most of himself was relieved that his little sister was no longer suffering or afraid.
Ginny didn't even remember her friendship with Luna anymore, her whole life had become a bright blur.
His sister was happy again, and he was happy again when he saw her, and still more so when he received his prefect's badge, as if it were possible his posture became even more erect, and, proud of himself, he asked his little sister to put the badge on him while his mother clapped and cheered. And Ginny remembered only the good things.
Still, Percy was silent, everyone was silent about that matter. Even Ron, from whom no prudence could be expected, was silent about everything, he didn't even dare to allude to it.
Only once, on the last day before everyone, including Ron, returned to Hogwarts did his mother bring up the matter.
–I'm so glad how wise you've been, – Mother smiled as she took Ron's cheek and gave him a little affectionate squeeze. –Especially you dear, I'm so proud of you for being so discreet, now I know I can trust you for anything.
Ron just strutted and smiled contentedly, but Percy knew that his younger brother was just keeping quiet for fear that Ginny would be the center of attention again.
Still, Percy said nothing.
When he got back on the train to Hogwarts the next day, he waved goodbye to Ginny, while she ran behind the train laughing and crying.
He didn't mention anything either when he wrote her his weekly letter or the following times he saw her.
He watched as she became another person, the person she should have always been, cheerful, happy, somewhat shy, and above all affectionate with everyone.
She spent a pleasant time in Romania, visiting with his parents Charlie, who began studying dragons that year.
Ginny even had a crush on her age the following summer, when Ron, George, and Fred went to "rescue" Harry Potter from his guardians' house.
The boy who lived was now his younger brother's best friend.
