The Hell Knight

At the Gosha academy, Kenji was sitting in class while hearing the teacher's lecturing. He couldn't think but worried about Asagi since his first encounters with Oboro and with Kyousuke turning into demon.

'I wonder how she was doing? I hope that she can pull herself together since Kyousuke died by me' He thought.

When the school bell rang, it ended as Kenji left the academy, he saw Sakura, standing at the gate.

"Sakura?" He walking towards her. "How's your sister doing?"

"She was… hurting." She replied, saddened.

"I see…" He sighed.

"Why don't come and see my big sister? She had so many questions about you." Sakura asked.

Know that Asagi wanted to know him, he knew that she and her sister have a right to know.

"I supposed its official." He answered.

Sakura and Kenji went to their house residence where they lived after they moved back to the Gosha village.

"I'm home, Big Sis!" She called out. "Big sis, there's someone here that you want to know."

Kenji walked in to see Asagi, sitting in the dining table. He hears her thought the she and Kyousuke were very close back then, but now he's dead and Asagi is feeling down about it. He sat on a chair and hopefully that would take that mind off of her.

"So, what is it that you want to know?" He asked her.

"Your powers… How did you get that?" She inquired.

"Well, those things changed me into what I am when I was…resuscitated." He said.

"Things? What do you mean, resuscitated?" Sakura questioned

"Have you ever heard the myth about Godzilla?" He said.

"Godzilla? But…wasn't that an old myth?" She said.

"What is this Godzilla?" Asagi asked.

"1954, Godzilla was seen during the hydrogen bombing test and made into what it is." He explained, surprising them. "1955, another species of Godzilla was seen fighting the enormous ankylosaur monster, Anguirus. 1961, Godzilla was released from its ice imprisonment and fought a giant ape, Kong. 1968, the United Nations Science Committee captured and contained all the known monsters in the island near the Ogasawara chain. As decades went by, they just keep appearing and Godzilla was there to combat them until they all went extinct."

"Whoa, I had no idea Japan had a very long history with these..." Sakura said, astonished.

"Kaiju or Titans." Kenji said, "A giant creatures that takes appearance of any types of animal with mysterious powers that no one could ever known and Godzilla was one of them as well."

"Uh, are you saying there were more of this kaiju?" Asagi said. "But that still doesn't explain how did you gained more power like them?"

"Well, I don't know. All I remember is that I was in this black void and I heard this loud roar from whatever it sounded like, then there was this shaking like a rumbling sound at the same time." He explained, "As if something or somebody have disturbed them and I've been feeling their rage and hatred, wanted to go and wreaking their vengeance upon them."

Asagi looked at him as if she seen the ghost like it happened few years ago when earthquake occurred.

"To Sakura's question, I died, a long time ago."

"What? But how is it that you died?" She said, never heard of anyone survived for a long time.

"Well, nobody saw them coming…" Kenji started explaining the same thing he told the principal, especially the part where the demon attacks, wounded badly, fell in the crevasses where he died, woke up in forty-nine years later in the future, his family is presumed dead, and found out that he was possessed by numerous souls of the giant monsters. "And that's how it happened." He finished.

"I'm so sorry about your family." Sakura said.

"I know, my family thought that I died when it happened and it's all because those demonic creatures attacks and took everything from me."

The Igawa sisters felt sorry that the young man has lost his family when the demons attack.

"And to your question, Asagi. Those monsters turned me…" Kenji morphed into his monster prince form, surprising them. "Into this!"

"That form? That masked stranger is you?" She said.

"Yes." He sighed, taking his mask off, revealing his face is covered in light-black scales with scar on his right eye and teeth sticking out from his upper jaws. "It was me when I sliced the orc's head that rapes a poor woman with flying buzzsaw and took over the demon-infested hotel after I got rid of them when I have nowhere else to stay."

"So it was you who saved those poor girls?" Sakura said.

Kenji nodded. "Before I killed this demon named 'Impu'luk', He utters the words saying that this Incubus King will kill me and I sliced his head off anyway."

"Incubus King? You mean Ryuuji Kuroi." Asagi said.

"You know him?" He asked.

"No, but he was a noble and demon, working as a financer in secrecy. No one knows where he is and also the reason that certain someone disappeared without a trace."

Kenji wondered what she mean that certain someone disappeared and who disappeared?

"Wait a minute. When you said you had an eye surgery, you've never told me about it." Sakura said. "And you've never told me you were out hunting Incubus King."

"I… uh… you didn't ask." He lied.

"See, you're doing it again. Then why don't you tell us the truth?" She demanded.

"Alright, I lied, okay!" Kenji gave in, raising his voice. "My eyes changed when I came back to life and I was hunting him down because I thought he was the source of this commotions, especially I have to kill all the demons and thugs when they didn't tell me where the hell is that Ryuuji hiding! I wouldn't planned on killing you too if you're not one of them."

"And why is that?" Asagi said, offended.

"Well, I don't know who to trust! Considering my encounters with the demons, they have been disguised as human while they were overpowering those poor girls with their overpowering lust. So, I have to kill them all because I can smell their hidious stench with my heightened sense of smell. But you, you and your sister has a similar scent from them, are you?"

"No, we are Taimanins, the Anti-demon ninja and as for the demon scent, the Taimanins are genetically altered with demon's D.N.A. so that we could use its strength to fight them." Asagi answered.

"That explains why I smell your demon scent and Sakura's." Kenji muttered. "So does that means you're part-demon and part-human?"

Asagi nodded. "Yes."

"And are you and Sakura are the only ones?"

"No, there are many Taimanin organizations out there and I retired recently, to live peacefully with Kyousuke but…" She said as her tears is in her eyes.

"Your duties as Taimanin aren't done yet because of that ninja demon bitch, Oboro."

"Oboro? Big sis, I thought she was dead when you kill her and what happened to Kyousuke?" Sakura asked, confused.

Asagi said nothing because of Kyousuke's death.

"Well, I don't know how to begin it, but…" Kenji explained about what happened. It begun when Kenji followed Asagi when she was in the hurry, Kyousuke gives a wedding ring to Asagi that paralyze her, an expected return of Oboro, Kyousuke turned into a demon, and finally, where he jumps in and saving Asagi and killing her boyfriend as well. "And that's how it happened."

"I'm so sorry, big sis." Sakura said to her before facing him. "Kenji, you knew that Kyousuke is a demon?"

"At first, I wasn't sure that he was a demon when he smell like one, but when it gotten out of hands, I have to jump in." He said. "While we were fighting, I can hear Kyousuke talking to me in telepathically. He said 'he will always be there watching over you.' and he told me to kill him and I did what he wanted me to do."

Asagi tensed from what he said.

"I'm so sorry, Asagi. I mean, there is nothing I can do to help him." Kenji said. "I don't know if any of you can forgive me for what I did."

"It's okay." Sakura smiled before walking over to him and hugging him. "Kyousuke really loved my big sis. He would never hurt her so he's probably thanking you for stopping him before he hurts you and big sis."

Kenji was stiffened of what she said that while he gets flustered when she hugged his head against her chest.

Suddenly, Kenji started to smell something before he gets up.

"What's wrong, Kenji?" Sakura asked as Asagi looked at him.

"Something's coming… Something… Demonic…" He sniffed it more. "And it's more powerful than the other demons."

Before they asked, a front door was sent flying across the room and entering the house is a demon but it's a woman with dark-skinned with very long pink hair, wearing black clothes with an open midriff which it almost revealing her big chest and a red cape.

"Asagi Igawa and the one called Kenji Saegusa. My lord sent me to capture you two and I will see that is done!" She yelled, demanded.

Kenji growled and got up from the chair. "Did anyone ever teach you to knock before you enter the house, lady?" He stood in front of Igawa siblings.

"That doesn't matter! I am here to succeed where Oboro failed to do!" The woman said.

"What?! You worked with that demon ninja bitch?! Then you must tell me where is she hiding." Kenji demanded, clenching his lava fist. "I have score to settle with her."

"As much as I would love to see her get butchered to death, but Lord Black still have uses of her." She replied.

"Lord Black? So he's the one that sent you and Oboro?" He questioned. "What does the bastard want with me and Asagi?"

"You dare speak of my master with such demeaner name?!" The woman said, pointing her sword at his throat but Kenji extended his neck at her face, surprising her.

"I ask question here, lady! What does he want with me and Asagi?" He demanded, pulling his head back.

"For your answer, you have shown a great and yet, mysterious power. You have slaughtered all demons in Shinjuku district with the beast, the attack on the House of Greed, and the destruction of Paradise and King's Pleasure." She answered, "Lord Black wishes that you will serve him as his bodyguard and as for Asagi, he wants her as his eternal companion."

Kenji looked back to see Asagi, who was stiffened about being this Lord Black's companion before glaring at the she-demon with his piercing animal amber-eyes.

"Asagi does not wished to be his pet and I served to no one!" He snarled before pointing at Asagi. "She was suffering because of that Oboro bitch that turned her lover into a monster and I had no choice but to kill him! When I find this Lord Black of yours, I will take his head off and burned him into ashes!"

"As a loyal Hell Knight, I will not allow that! I, Hell Knight Ingrid, challenge you to a duel!" Ingrid declared.

"A duel, you say? Then as a Prince of a Monsters, I accept your challenge, Ingrid!" Kenji said, putting his mask on. "But not here. Only a place where we can fight with no one interfering."

"Very well, then follow me." She motioned him to follow her.

"Kenji, wait!" Sakura said, wanting to follow him.

"Sakura." Asagi said, stopping her. "This is his fight but if he is defeated, we'll jump in to save him."

In the streets, Ingrid and Kenji, who de-morphed to his normal form, was heading to place where they can fight with no one interfering as the men that they walked by, gave her a perverted look but she gave them a death glare as in she won't hesitated killing them.

"Insolent perverts…!" Ingrid grumbled.

"A little advice, try wearing appropriate clothes so you won't attracting too much attention like… your chest for instance." Kenji advised. "Otherwise, those perverted insects might prostitute you in weaken state."

"Do not joke about my attire! Besides, bra straps makes my breast uncomfortable so I don't wear one." She said, indignantly.

"You might reconsider of wearing something a bit formal so that you don't stand out like a sore thumb." He said.

"Hmm… I might consider about that but thanks anyway." Ingrid said.

They entered the abandoned building and the open space in the ballroom.

"Hmm… This place is old and wide space but it will do." Kenji remarked.

"So, shall we do this?" Ingrid asked, drawing her sword.

"So be it." He said, morphed into monster form and getting in fighting stance.

Kenji makes his by firing his Finger Missiles and Railgun at her, but missed when Ingrid deflect them away before it explode and she rushed forward to stab him. He sidestepped away and tried swinging his tail but Ingrid ducked but Kenji shoots his Gravity Beam from his eyes at Ingrid, who dodged his lightning attack.

'She's fast.'

The Hell Knight dashed forward and slashed his body all over, making his body searing from black flames.

'Damn, I never think that this black flame can burn so deeply.' He thought as his wound is regenerating and jumped away from her. 'And she's too fast.'

Kenji comes at her as she charges at him and slapped her sword away a bit and palm-strike her stomach, making her stunned. Kenji grabbed her arm, yanked her arm around before spin-back kick her away in her side before Ingrid dashed him, slashing his side as she ran passed him. Kenji grunted as his side is burning.

'So, you want to get serious, huh?' He thought, turning into a form of a white monster that has a head of a shark with tusk and a body that resembles a cheetah or wolf with wing-like projections on his back.

'So that how he does. He can change form from any monster he takes.' She thought while looking at him, who growls at her. "Very well, then prepare to die!" She declared she charged him with her sword.

Kenji charged at her but he circles around her until he vanished. Suddenly he starts hitting her everywhere from all sides until he rams her to the wall as she coughed blood. Unable to get up, she know that she is defeated before Kenji growls at her as he approaches her.

"What are you waiting for? Just kill me." She said.

Kenji glared at her for a second before snorting and backed away from her, who raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"What are you hiding there?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" She questioned.

"You seemed to harboring your feelings on this Lord Black person." Kenji said, causing her to tense up. "As in you're in love with him."

"What?! But how did you know that?" She said, surprised.

"I see and hear your thoughts." He told her as he transformed back to his monster form and raising his visor. "You can call it a psychic." He held his hand to her.

"So, you have an ability to hear anyone's thought?" Ingrid questioned, taking his hand.

Kenji nodded. "From what I seen in your mind; it seems that he doesn't have any interest in you."

"That's not true!" She argued. "And you keep your mouth shut about someone you've never meant."

"I don't have to meet him." He retorted. "He even reanimated Oboro into a demon ninja to hurt Asagi by turning her boyfriend into a monster. And you, you may look like a human on the outside but you have a scent of demon and a stronger one. You could've known that he doesn't like you no matter how much he means to you. Any idea why he wanted to capture and make Asagi a pet?"

"I don't know. I was following his order." She admitted.

"You see. He only sees you as his subordinate as well as Oboro so he would rather go after Asagi than being with you." He said.

Ingrid looked down on the ground, feeling perplexed about what he said.

"But…" Kenji lifted her chin up, facing. "Perhaps you may be of used to me, Ingrid."

"What do you mean?" She asked.

Kenji opened his left hand, creating a small colorful moth that flies up and marked her arm, making it visible.

"What's this?" Ingrid asked.

"Call it 'a parting gift'. Once it marks you, I can establish a telepathic connection so I know where I can find you." Kenji said before leaving.

"But what makes you think I need your help?" She asked, stopping him.

"You were a beautiful Hell Knight with honor, Ingrid." He said, making her blushed, "I would've have destroyed you but part of me wants to spare your life and wanted to find your happiness. This country is crawling and corrupted by perverted demons and thugs who wanted to exploited your weakness and wanted to prostitute you for good times." He puts his hand on his chest. "So, I, Prince of the Monsters, vowed that I will kill all the perverted demons. When that time comes, I will come help you." He walks away.

"But why?" Ingrid said.

"What I did was to punish those things for staining this world where they once roamed this world. Until now, we'll meet again, Hell Knight, Ingrid."

As he walks out of abandoned building, he de-morphed back to his human form but his shirt was torn and his pants is tattered.

"Great, that's gonna leave a mark." Kenji sighed, looked at the scars on his left side. "I need a new shirt."

As he heads back to Igawa residence, He smell the scents and looked up as Asagi and Sakura, wearing their ninja uniforms, jumps down in front of him. Asagi is wearing a purple Taimanin battle suit while Sakura wears black leotard-like battle suit with a deep orange skirt.

"Kenji! Are you alright?" Sakura asked, worriedly.

"It's okay, I win the duel." He replied.

"Did you kill her?" Asagi asked.

"No, I spared her." Kenji said. "She was at loss of falling in love with this Black and would be of use to me."

"Wow, you're planning to charm her to your bed?" Sakura said, grinning.

"Um, no!" He shook his head, blushing. "What I mean is that... she might have a link with this Black person."

"Do you planned on turning the Black's most loyal against him?" Asagi asked.

"Possibly, but for now…" He said, holding his left hand up, creating two more colorful moth.

They fly up and marked them on their left arm.

"My gift to you. If you need my help, I will teleport in or contact you in telepathically in case if any of you get captured or about to be killed." Kenji explained. "I also gave one to Ingrid as well."

"Do you think that Hell Knight can call you?" Asagi said.

"She may be a respected Hell Knight but..." He said.

"She will be exploited if that happens." She finished.

He nodded.

"Kenji, is it true that you really kill all the demons in the Shinjuku district with your beast?" Sakura asked.

"It was a mess so I sent Zilla to clean up the mess they made while I help the poor girls." He answered as the Igawa sisters widened their eyes. "Along with other certain locations I've been to."

"Then, you really are powerful and why you called yourself the 'Prince of the Monsters'." Asagi said. "Will you lend your powers to aid the Taimanin?"

"Yes, you and I shared our common goal; to eradicate the scums of the demon realm." Kenji said. "You and Sakura are the first Taimanins I've met and I'll be more willing to help you."

"Thank you, Kenji." She said.

"By the way, who is this Black person anyway?" He wondered.

Asagi explained to him that his name Edwin Black, the CEO of the international cooperation of Nomad, who worked in secretly of experimenting. He was a demon-vampire hybrid and wishes to rule this world.

"So that's his game, huh?" He said. "I guess he'll be the main dish for me in the battle. And Asagi..."

"What is it?" She asked.

Kenji looked at Sakura and then leaning down her ear, telling her about before Kyousuke was killed, he told Kenji to tell her that this was all a set up plan for her by this Elder. It shocked her, thinking it was all his plan in the beginning.

"What were you guys whispering about?" Sakura said.

"Nothing, Just a small talk." He told her before looking at Asagi. "Do you plan on telling Sakura about that as well?"

Asagi nodded, knowing her sister will get involved in it.

"Until then, be careful." He advised her before they split their own way.

While he headed back, he wondered if Ingrid can realize that Edwin Black cares for no one than her. He thought as he went to his penthouse and looked at the picture of him and his family. He sighed, thinking about them before getting ready for bed.
