Chapter 1
Could you be safe in my arms, and scared at the same time
Everythings changing but I don't care for sameness.
"I can't believe we didn't leave this room for two days."
"That is so not me. I'm reliable and responsible now."
"This is why i normally have one drink. I don't know what got into me." Brooke proclaimed.
Lucas finished getting dressed. Pulling her into his arms.
"Are you really saying that what happened between us was because of the drinks?" Lucas asked.
Brooke stared back at him.
"This isn't me. This was a mistake Lucas." Brooke proclaimed.
The expression on Lucas's face hardened.
"So we're in agreement then. This never happened."
"We got back to town and live our seperate lives." Lucas proclaimed.
Brooke nodded her head and left the hotel room first.
Lucas waited before leaving thirty minutes later.
They got on the same flight. Sitting in different areas of the plane.
Eventually they appeared back in Tree Hill in seperate homes.
Brooke put on her engagement ring.
Staring at herself in the car mirror.
Taking a deep breath. Closing her eyes.
Quickly scanning her neck. Her fingers running over the bite marks he had given her. The kisses.
She still felt his hands on her body. His voice whispering in her ear.
The shower she had taken at the hotel. Had done nothing to erase what they had shared. Behind closed doors.
The passion. The connection. She had never experienced anything like him.
Lucas Scott had found his way back into her life again. But it was too late.
Brooke left the car. Made the way upstairs and opened the door.
"Welcome home. Where's the outfit i requested?" Rachel asked.
Brooke trieed to hide her surprise. "Where's Julian?" She asked.
Rachel shrugged her shoulders. "Business trip. I''ve been house sitting. Now where have you been Brooke?" She questioned.
"Business trip. Jet lag has me exhausted. I should shower. Nap. I'll order something. You can hang out if you want." Brooke replied.
"I was going to go but you clearly need me so i'll stay." Rachel replied.
"Well how was it?" Rachel questioned.
Brooke stared back at her. "I don't know what you're talking about." She replied.
"Brooke. I know what afterglow looks like. And i saw it the minute you got here. The bites on you're neck. You not looking in my eyes."
"We're friends. No need to be shy." Rachel insisted.
As a book fell from Brooke's bag.
Rachel picked it up before Brooke could grab.
"I knew it." Rachel proclaimed.
"It wasn't supposed to happen and I'm forgetting about it and him." Brooke said.

Lucas made his way into the house. Lucas put a smile on his face.
His ring back on his finger.
"Lucas its negative again. This is so frustrating." Peyton said. Coming down stairs.
"I think we need to stop. For months now."
"Our relationship has turned into this thing I don't recognize." Lucas admitted.
"I want to have you're child." Peyton said.
"The doctors have said we both have issues on our side. So having a biological child. The chance of that is basically impossible." Lucas proclaimed.
