Everyone sat in the common room in silence. From time to time they looked at each other but mostly they just kept their eyes on the door while listening to Roman roam through the house. Their leader had told them to sit there and wait until he was done. They didn't know what he was doing but it had gone on for hours now. They finally heard his footsteps come towards the room. He appeared in the open door with anger written all over his face.
"Who did it?" Roman asked.
They all looked confused. They had no idea what he was talking about.
"Dean's dead," Roman said.
"What?" Seth asked.
"The only people knowing Dean would leave with a great amount of my money are the people in this room. I figured one of you were stupid enough to go after him for the money. I just went through every room in this house but whoever did it wasn't stupid enough to hide the money here. If you come clean now, it will be a quick death. If I figure out later down the line who it was, I will not show any mercy," Roman said.
Roman looked from man to man but they all still looked confused. He took out his gun and started pointing it from person to person.
"Who stole my money?" Roman asked.
"We were all here when Dean left," Jey said.
"I know that," Roman said. "But one of you could have gone after him or have had someone else to do the dirty work for you. You all know how much I cherished Dean. It could be jealousy or it could be that one of you are so fucking stupid that you think you can outsmart me. Reveal yourself, asshole, and let's see how smart you think you are."
Roman waved the gun around again but no one came clean. He knew there was a chance it wasn't one of his men but it was a small chance. It had to be someone who knew exactly when Dean left and what route he took.
"Where was he killed?" Jimmy asked.
"I found him in the field behind Batista's farm. It was a smart move with how overgrown everything is there. Batista would never have found him. He's both half blind and deaf by now and I doubt he can smell anything after the years of working knee-deep in cow shit. Someone knew the route and took him out in the one place he wasn't supposed to be found. They didn't think I would retrace the route and go search for him myself," Roman said.
"None of us are that stupid. We know you have our backs and would come find us," Seth said.
"Well, someone killed him and stole my money," Roman said. "How about you come up with an alternative to who it might be before I start blowing out knee caps to get an answer from you guys?"
Seth licked his dry lips and nodded. He wasn't about to have his knees blown out because Roman was angry.
"Saveria," Seth said.
"What about her?" Roman asked.
"She always knows everything that goes on around town. I don't know how the fuck she does it but if someone has talked somewhere, she will know about it. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if she knows about it without anyone talking. It's fucking creepy how she's able to figure out shit," Seth said.
"She knows what happened to Naomi," Jimmy said. "And I played it safe that night. No one was supposed to know but Saveria knows. She found me and told me. I don't know how but she knows. I'm still waiting for the day she comes around and tries to cash in on that knowledge. So far she hasn't but it's scary how she holds that power over me."
"Saveria," Roman grumped.
"If anyone knows anything, it's her," Seth said. "It can't hurt to ask her."
Roman nodded and put his gun away again.
"Bring her in," Roman said. "And keep fucking quiet about it. Don't go telling anyone why you're running around town tonight. Don't even fucking ask anyone if they've seen her. Just spread out around town and pretend to be out for a night of fun until you find her. Once you do, bring her to me. I don't give a fuck if she won't come willingly. She doesn't get a choice. I want my money and that bitch better know where it is."
