Chapter 1: Encounter
How did my life come to this?
Cliff jumping to hear your ex-boyfriend's voice was a quick way to screw your life up pretty fast, apparently.
The last several hours have been a whirlwind of emotions that have left Bella in a state of semi-numbness as she leaned her forehead against the cool glass of the airplane window. There was nothing in particular to look at other than the clouds that covered the landscape which provided her mind the unfortunate opportunity to think about the information that had recently been thrown at her.
She didn't want to be doing this. She didn't want to be on this plane. However, she couldn't stop herself from trying to save him. An indescribable pull to go to Italy.
She closed her eyes tightly against the view and thoughts that continued to invade her mind before running over the details once more that brought her to this point. Alice had seen her jumping to her supposed death from the cliff and, due to Jacob's involvement in bringing her safely ashore afterward which interfered with her vision, did not see that she had survived the jump. Alice then confided this information to Rosalie who, in turn, informed Edward which resulted in this impromptu rescue trip to Italy.
Why? Why am I doing this? Didn't he, himself, say everything was a lie. Our whole relationship-a lie. A pretty little lie that I was naïve enough to believe despite knowing I could never measure up to someone like him. Yet here I am, running back to him. How desperate must I be? I bet Rosalie was relieved to think I was actually gone before Edward decided to make his dramatic exit.
The plane seemed overly loud at that point, numerous conversations between other passengers about vacation plans, flight layover, family drama, and other mundane topics broke through her thoughts which created a dull, pulsating pressure behind her eyes.
I had been doing better. Jacob…he was making me…want to live again. Like a person again. Yet the moment Edward comes back into the picture, I'll just decide to throw it all back in his face without so much a goodbye, peace out, or anything. What a mockery of a friend I am.
Her arms wrapped around herself as she pried her eyes open to stare aimlessly out the window in front of her once more.
Jacob didn't deserve this.
Her father, Charlie, definitely didn't deserve the hastily scribbled, barely legible note that was left for him on the kitchen counter to find after he finished his shift at the station that explained that she was being whisked off to Italy with Alice to help with a Cullen family matter. Her father wasn't a man of many words, but even she could see the struggle he went through over the last several months watching his only daughter waste away in front of him, pining over some 'stupid' boy that 'didn't deserve her'. No wonder he hates Edward so much. The gruff police officer knew there was no remedy or medicine that he could get that would draw his daughter out of the abyss that was her mind. Her focus at that point had been simply to wake up, survive, and attempt to hear to melodramatic ex-boyfriend's voice by performing increasingly reckless activities.
An utter fool. An idiot. A sigh escaped her before she banged her forehead lightly against the glass.
She felt the shift in the cabin pressure during the plane's slow descent as it neared their final destination and the noise surrounding her seemed to have amplified gradually, growing into a roaring wave of meshed sounds in her ears, along with the incessant tapping of Alice on her cellphone. A small part of her wanted to snatch the device from her hands and chunk it down the aisle of the plane. Her chest felt so tight like there was a vice around her heart, and the sensation of not being able to pull enough air into her lungs. She didn't even realize her hands were shaking until she reached for her own cell phone in the pocket of her worn blue jeans to turn it off of airplane mode.
March 19th. 8:04 AM. 7 missed calls from Dad. 4 missed calls from Mom. 3 missed calls from Jacob. 12 unanswered text messages.
With a sigh, she slipped the phone back into her pocket and glanced at the side profile of Alice, her supposed best friend, her ex…sister. Another lie. Her pixie-like features were still perfect despite the slight frown marring her full lips. Though, she had never seen Alice look anything less than perfect. Perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect outfit, perfect…everything. Everything was perfect for them, the whole Cullen family. She supposed it was a type of perfection in the supernatural sense but even in this moment, Bella envied the way it appeared effortless to them all and it stirred the recurring feeling of total inadequacy that would plague the darker recesses of her mind.
"Alice."
Bella reached out a tentative hand toward the other girl, turning to face her more completely in her seat before she dropped her outstretched hand into her lap to join the other one to pick at the fraying denim instead of extending it further.
"Where do we go from here? What is he doing?".
Alice's eyes are unfocused momentarily before sighing softly. She typed something additional on her phone, Perhaps Carlisle? Jasper? before quickly tucking it in her jacket pocket.
"He keeps changing his mind. His thoughts are scattered though it's certain he will do something to force the Volturi into retaliating against him. They will not hesitate to eliminate a threat to their laws."
Biting her lip slightly, Bella pulled loose some of the string from her jeans before she leaned in closer to Alice to murmur quietly.
"Can you tell me about them? The Volturi? Edward mentioned they were the closest thing you all had to royalty."
Alice pressed her lips firmly together while she tilted her head to the side in thought before whispering quietly to Bella.
"They value order. Everything, and everyone, has a purpose regardless of whether that purpose is that of an asset, an obstacle, or sustenance. However, which category they place someone in can change as quickly as the wind given what their goal is at the current time. There are three brothers Aro, Marcus, and Caius. Marcus no longer interacts much within the court other than to be present, vote if needed, and verify relationship ties between those brought before them. That is his gift. He can look within a person and piece together their connections with others around them, quite useful to determine loyalty and potential threats within the court along with being able to determine who your allies and enemies 'attachments' are. Carlisle said he is "barely alive" even by our standards, almost catatonic after the loss of his mate a long time ago. His brother, Caius, is aggressive at the best of times and sadistic at the worst of them. His moods are erratic and volatile when it comes to judgments. His world is very much black and white with no margin for error on someone's behalf. He does not have any innate gifts that I am aware of, though he is fiercely ambitious and an avid tactician. Those characteristics make him plenty dangerous without any gift, along with his warped sense of justice which makes him unpredictable. Do not anger or provoke him, Bella."
I don't see why I would intentionally provoke a capricious, violent vampire, but duly noted.
Bella nodded her head slightly, " I understand. What about the last one? Aro?".
Alice released a short breath of air before leaning her head back against the headrest of her seat. Her eyes appeared wary as she glanced around the other passengers before bringing her gaze back to Bella and leaning towards her ear once more.
"Aro is….Aro. A wild card honestly. He is the de facto speaker of the three brothers. He is similar to Edward in that he has telepathy, but he works differently than my brother. His powers are tactile and require him to have physical contact with the individual that he wishes to read. However, his power extends to include every thought that the person has ever had in their lifetime, from the moment they can create memories up until they encounter him. It's a power that he uses frequently when he holds court. He remains a close friend of Carlisle, though he tends to hold him at a safe distance despite their polite friendship".
Well…that does not sound too bad overall.
"So…he is a vampire version of a lie detector test? You said he is a friend of Carlisle. Would he possibly assist us in stopping Edward if he was aware of the plan? He could see what Edward's intentions are."
"No. I said he was a friend of Carlisle, but that does not mean that he is kind. Do not mix the two together when dealing with Aro. He, along with his brothers, created the rules that we are all expected to follow and have no problem in getting rid of those that jeopardize that structure. The man is vastly intelligent, highly manipulative, and revels in complete control. You can say he is an avid "collector" of the finer things in life-vampires included, he craves the abilities from those that he collects and can utilize to strengthen his own vampiric guard. He can become relentless in acquiring those that he deems 'special'. He has reached out to Edward and me on several occasions with offers to join his guard, which we declined of course. Honestly, I am not even sure how mentally stable he is anymore. His choices have always been very difficult to pinpoint in my visions before he actually acted on them. Carlisle said his behavior had become more erratic the last time he saw him, though that was several decades ago".
Well never mind then.
The pulsating pressure that had been developing behind her eyes was constant at this point, and she reached up to rub her temples in an attempt to ease it.
Bella glanced out of the once more to take in the beautiful scenery of vineyards, white buildings, roads, and traffic. A truly breathtaking view if she was in a better mindset to enjoy it.
As the plane touched down and the passengers quickly started to move around to collect their belongings for offloading, she felt Alice's cool fingers wrap around her own before she was quickly tugged off the plane. She walked quickly alongside Alice as they attempted to make their way to the car rental at an inconspicuous human pace. Bella wasn't sure that the speed in which they were going was human by any standard since towards the end Bella was having to break out in a jog to keep up with the petite vampire as they made it to the rental counter.
It was astonishing how quickly Alice arranged for the car rental. How did she even get the necessary paperwork for us both to be here? Fabricated documents and passports were placed on the counter, one even for Bella herself. She leaned slightly forward to look at the picture of herself attached to the passport.
I don't even remember taking that picture.
Bella felt the icy sensation of Alice's hand around her wrist once again before she was being pulled in the direction of the parking lot before the sensation of stopping suddenly registered in her mind which nearly caused her to crash into the back of the smaller woman.
"Alice?"
She whispered softly from behind, and after a quick glance at the people stepping around them, inched up to her side. When no answer was forthcoming after repeating her name, she came forward to block Alice's face as she stared at her unfocused eyes and waited for her to come out of whatever vision had taken her. As suddenly as the vision came on, it was gone, and Alice was blinking rapidly.
"He has decided. He plans on exposing himself to the crowd during the St. Marcus' Day celebration in Volterra by walking out into the sunlight."
Alice shook her head once as if clearing it, before grabbing onto the sleeve of Bella's oversized Forks High School sweatshirt and pulling her quickly in the direction of their car. "We don't have a lot of time. He seems to be moving quickly now that he made up his mind".
The trip to Volterra was anticlimactic which seemed odd given the circumstances, other than the asinine speed that Alice deemed necessary to drive the vehicle, of their hasty visit to the town in the outskirts of Tuscany, Italy. Alice had explained briefly on the way that Volterra, ironically, was thought to be the safe haven from vampires partially because of St. Marcus who supposedly drove out the vampires from the area centuries ago, and subsequently because the Volturi had forbidden hunting of humans within the walls of the town. The view from the road winding up to the entrance of the town looked like it was taken out of a gallery painting with the beautiful town situated on a vast hill with buildings of brown sienna brick peeking over the tall bricked walls. The streets were packed to the brim with residents and tourists for the annual celebration which made them quickly abandon the vehicle closer to the entrance than they would have liked as the sheer amount of people made it impossible to drive through.
She and Alice quickly advanced down the winding streets until the streets converged into a large town square where consequently the people were the thickest. Bella couldn't see a thing between being pulled like a rag doll behind Alice and the moving living mass of people all dressed in dark red cloaks that made up the spectators within the square.
"What is with all the red cloaks?" Bella finally croaks after being elbowed rather forcefully in the back by another red-clad person.
Alice gestured absently at the surrounding buildings with one hand as they were forced to slow their speed within the crowd.
"It is in celebration of St. Marcus day as I mentioned before. The celebration is held in honor of St. Marcus who is the patron saint who chased out the vampires from the beloved town of Volterra".
"But obviously they never left…"
Bella muttered in confusion as she glanced around curiously at the numerous food stands, street performers, carnival games, and even a long processional leading into what she assumed was some type of church.
"Obviously. They have no idea that the saint they celebrate so earnestly is actually one of the three Volturi brothers, Marcus, who serve as the governing body for the vampiric population".
Well, that is a definition of irony.
Alice and she split up to search the large square and the surrounding area for signs of Edward, though Bella was seriously starting to question her own sanity as shadowy figures kept manifesting within the corner of her vision to the point where she did not trust what she was looking at. Whichever direction she would shift her gaze she swore she would see red eyes and smirking faces before they would sink into the shadows before disappearing completely the moment she would blink.
One insanity-induced hallucination was of a massive, red-cloaked individual who was leaning against the side of the massive cathedral that the procession had previously entered, arms crossed across an unnaturally wide chest, the upper part of his face within the dark shadows of his hood, and a sharp-toothed smile which seemed to evaporate into thin air the moment she was forced to blink her burning eyes after attempting to keep them open in her surprise. His immediate disappearance made her wonder if he had even been there in the first place.
Pushing further towards the clock tower, her gaze once was drawn back to the alleyways and her breath felt like it caught in her throat. Two figures standing beside each other caught her attention within the entrance to a dimly lit side alley further ahead to her left. Shorter in stature than herself, nothing in particular about their appearance should have caught her attention, the same type of red hooded cloak adorned their forms and concealed their features just as the rest of the people that swarmed the area. However, something tickled in Bella's mind that something was unnatural…they stood too still in comparison to the constant movement around her, and with that observation, there was an accompanied uncomfortable sensation of being an unsuspecting deer encountering a hunter. She couldn't be sure without seeing their faces but something in her gut told her they were watching her as well.
A sudden shove from a bystander within the throng of spectators caused her to look away for what felt like just a second before quickly seeking out the alley once more. Just as before, both were gone.
Bella scrubbed a hand down her face in frustration before darting her eyes around the area. She would never find anything in this square with all these people. Climbing up on the wide rim of a large fountain her eyes darted around frantically looking for any sign of Edward within the cloaked figures. The pressure of her previous headache, along with the loud whooshing beat of her heart, crescendo to the point where she can barely focus on the courtyard without the overwhelming urge to close her eyes against the multitude of stimuli around her. Her hand shook once again as she rubbed the area of her upper chest absentmindedly as she attempted to offset the recurrent sensation of her heart twisting and the sudden inability to breathe deeply.
Now is not the time for a panic attack!
The clock tower started to toll loudly which successfully broke through the fog that had developed within her mind momentarily when a slight glimmer caught her attention from the nearby alley by the clocktower in which she had imagined seeing the two cloaked figures just moments prior.
It felt like her mind was wading through the mud as she attempted to comprehend that she was actually looking at Edward as he advanced slowly toward the open sunlight at the end of the alley while shrugging off his shirt and cloak.
When she thinks back on that moment, she does not quite recall how she got from point A to point B. She just remembered throwing herself into the water of the fountain in a desperate attempt to reach Edward before he could step forward into the sun. She could already see the slight shimmer of his exposed skin from the indirect sunlight that poured into the area. Her mind blissfully went silent as she slammed herself into Edward's chest.
It felt like she had thrown herself into a brick wall and her breath was momentarily knocked out of her as she attempted to grip his shoulders to steady herself.
He proved to also be as moveable as a wall once Bella was able to catch her breath before frantically attempting to shove him back into the shadows. He remained unyielding as his lips mumbled incoherently while tired, dull golden eyes stared down at her, the unfocused gaze appearing to look straight through her. Placing her hands on either side of his face while raising herself up on her toes, she attempted to meet his gaze.
"Edward! Look, it's me! I'm here!"
He made no acknowledgment of her speaking before he swayed forward slightly burying his nose in the crown of her hair and inhaling deeply.
"Heaven".
The word was whispered so quietly that Bella thought she might have imagined it.
"Edward! Move! Look at me! I'm alive! You must move!"
She dropped her hands from his face to clutch at his shoulders in her desperation for him to move, her nails chipping against his granite-like skin.
Frigid hands wrapped around her before pulling her even closer into his chest as his nose trailed down to the junction of her neck and shoulder where another deep inhale could be heard.
"Open your eyes! It's me! Please move!"
Bella cried against his shoulder as she twisted within his embrace.
His body stiffened momentarily before his head abruptly jerked backward to gawk down at her in disbelief, those gold-tinted eyes rapidly flickering over her face before hastily retreating with her into the shadows of the alleyway.
"You're here? You're dead. This isn't possible, Alice saw you"
His left arm tightened almost painfully around her back with his fingers digging into the thin flesh of her hip while his right hand contrasted by caressing her cheek with feather-light touches as if the vision before him would shatter if he pressed too firmly.
"I'm here. I'm alive. Her vision was wrong. I was on the reserve. I had to let you know I was alive…. what were you thinking?"
Her own hands had found their way back up to his face to trace over his cheeks, before carding gently into his bangs that hung limply onto his forehead as he stared down at her in silence.
Hope blossomed in his weary eyes and his gaze brightened as he griped her cheek more firmly.
"You're here! You're alive."
A blinding smile crossed his lips and the shadows that plagued his face seemed to fade away in light of his beauty.
Yes, I'm definitely an udder fool.
A soft chuckle escaped her throat before she firmly wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his chest. She felt more than heard the sigh that escaped Edward as he allowed one hand to gently rub against her lower back while cupping his other hand against the back of her neck. Quiet apologies seemed to spill from his lips as he rubbed his face against the side of her face, forehead, before dropping forward to press his face back into the junction of her neck where he took several more deep breaths.
She didn't care that she stood in her soaked trainers and jeans, or that they were mere feet away from the spectators in the square, all she cared about was being held in this man's arms once again with his soft words and crisp, clean scent invading her senses and relaxing the deep-seated tension in her muscles. The pain in her chest slowly subsided into a dull ache.
The moment was disturbed by a discreet shift in the space behind her along with the same nagging sensation in the back of her mind that she experienced earlier that indicated that they were no longer alone.
Before she could fully comprehend what was happening, she was shoved towards the side of the building behind Edward who had dropped into a slight crouch in front of her, teeth bared, and a deep growl bubbling up his throat.
Hands gripping the back of Edward's cloak, Bella's eyes flicker up to the two new individuals who inconveniently blocked the exit of the alleyway. Both were shrouded in the deep crimson cloaks as the rest of the crowd however their auras screamed danger as they slowly advanced toward the couple. The shorter one had pulled their hood back to reveal one of the most beautiful faces Bella had ever seen. She only stood about 4'8", maybe slightly shorter than Alice, with pale blond hair swept back into a low bun. Her face was painfully beautiful to look at, angelic and childlike all at the same time. Clear, deep crimson red eyes crinkled slightly as a small smile adorned her full lips as she looked upon them.
Red eyes. Deep, blood-red eyes with a predator's focus stared at her with those quirked lips. This person was not like her Cullens, this was a creature that feasted off of human blood.
Not a single shade of gold graced that bloodied gaze.
"Master Aro would like to see you"
A lilting voice accompanied the girl as she crossed her slender arms across her chest, the black fabric of her dress underneath a stark contrast with the bright red material of the cloak, a long chain of gold with an intricate V resting just above her crossed arms. Bella assumed that she had to have been changed at a young age, early teenage years at the latest given her appearance.
"I appreciate Aro's concern, Jane, but we plan on leaving Volterra momentarily and must be on our way"
Edward attempted to bring his lips up in a strained smile as he pressed Bella further into the brick wall behind them. The stone dug painfully into her back as he unconsciously edged her further into the walkway. The small quirk of a smile that this 'Jane' had previously quickly fell as she narrowed her gaze on Edward.
"Funny that you think you have a choice, boy"
The larger of the two snickered as he stepped forward and pushed his hood back slightly to flash a toothy grin down at Edward before he flicked his gaze up to Bella and winked. This man easily towered over them, at least 6'7", broad-shouldered, muscled, with what appeared to be faded olive skin with black hair along with similar deep red eyes. He was similar to Emmett in build though Bella would be willing to bet that he beat the muscular Cullen in height. He carried an almost excitable energy about him as if he itched for something to do with his hands, his fingers twitched nearly constantly along with rhythmic clenching and unclenching of his fists every few moments. It reminded Bella unnervingly of the police Schutzhund dog training she watched with Charlie when she was little, the animal's excitement steadily building while waiting for the Fass command from their handler that allowed them to attack. Bella's eyes slid back to the youthful-looking girl standing beside the large man, who despite being smaller, seemed to be in charge.
A snarl reverberated in the narrow alleyway as Edward pushed Bella further down the pathway and away from the hulking, massive man and silent girl.
"There is really no need for an audience with their majesties. We just came to collect my brother and we will be leaving shortly"
Alice's twinkling voice broke through the tangible tension. A dazzling smile stretched across her face as both vampires turned their eyes slightly to take in the newest addition. She kept the bright smile as she looked between the two with her hands raised slightly in front of her to indicate she meant no harm in that charming way of hers.
"All three of you will be accompanying us to the throne room. Our master is waiting"
The new voice who spoke up from Bella's left caused her to pivot her gaze away from Alice to a young man who stood mere feet away from her. She hadn't heard his approach, and she was concerned how close he had been able to get to them without Edward acknowledging him. This one appeared young much like the girl whom Edward addressed as Jane and possibly was a sibling based on the similar physical characteristics that were visible. He appeared to be slightly taller, slight in build, perhaps around 5'0" with dark brown hair, with the same dark red eyes as the girl. The same golden chain adorned his neck, laid visible against the dark gray of his militant-style shirt.
His red gaze rested momentarily on each person present before focusing briefly on Bella and then sliding to the Cullens. Alice had slipped around Jane to stand closer to discreetly block the opening to Bella that Edward had created as he shifted his stance slightly to account for the new threat.
No one spoke up for several moments.
Bella felt sick to her stomach as she waited for whatever was going to happen next, the pressure in her chest that had subsided to a dull ache came back sharply, the intensity causing Bella to once more reach up to rub at her chest. She felt that her anxiety would kill her before the vampires ever got a chance if someone did not act soon. The breeze picked up and shifted slightly, ruffling Bella's hair as she nervously glanced between all three sets of vampires.
Out of her peripheral vision, she noticed the 'young boy' tense abruptly as the wind fluttered against the black fabric of his own cloak and his intense gaze flickered back to Bella. Turning her eyes back to meet his, she was able to observe him take several deep breaths through his nose by the very subtle rise and fall of his chest. Those apathetic red eyes widened slightly before his eyebrows inched marginally higher.
Do I stink that bad? I know I didn't get to bathe before Alice dragged me here, but I didn't think I smelled that horrible.
Bella attempted to discreetly tilt her head to the side to sniff at her shirt collar but did not find anything that would account for the dissecting look she was getting.
The boy's face once more became austere while he muttered softly.
"What the…"
His voice cut off abruptly before he pinned Edward with a cold, perplexed stare as if he were studying a particularly interesting insect.
Edward's expression became more pinched as he glanced between the two vampires on their right and the new one on the left before gritting out a brief greeting to the newcomer.
"Alec".
Jane stalked towards her brother, circling around the Cullen siblings and the human before coming to a stop beside him. Several small hand gestures were made between them as they appeared to have some sort of silent conversation before, they turned back to peer at the Olympic coven. Bella decided that having them stand next to each other especially highlighted their similar appearances.
They have to be twins.
The boy, Alec, finally tilted his head marginally in Bella's direction before raising a skeptical eyebrow towards Jane who snorted delicately, rolled her eyes, and rotated to focus on Bella attentively. Her brief inhale wasn't near as apparent as her brothers but could very faintly could be seen if Bella focused closely. Jane's nonchalant demeanor shifted slightly, with a faint tightening of her jaw, and a sharpened perusal of the human.
A step closer, another breath.
Edward was practically trembling at this point in his agitation though did not utter a word during her observation, Jane's gaze was like a pendulum between Edward and Bella as if trying to figure out what exactly it was that she was looking at, before twisting her head to meet Alec's gaze over her shoulder.
"Master A…"
A sudden clap cut off the rest of Jane's statement and brought everyone's attention back to Alice who stood with a diminutive smile on her face, her body language resigned as she looked briefly at Edward before squaring her shoulders back towards the twins.
"If he insists, let us go meet with your Master. We shouldn't make him wait", The relaxed tone she projected seems fake, forced in its cheeriness.
"If you would please lead the way."
Bella swallowed thickly at the stress plainly painted on the pixie's perpetually cheerful face as she motioned towards Alec and Jane to lead the way.
Alec's face was stoic as he dragged his gaze to Bella one final time before replying to Alice's statement with a small nod. Cryptic burgundy eyes glanced past her towards the large man that Bella had almost forgotten was there.
"Felix"
The man, Felix, advanced toward their group while spreading his arms wide, fingertips nearly brushing against the sides of the alley due to his width. The stance didn't appear overly hostile at first glance but there was a clear underlying threat in the man's amused expression that he would greatly enjoy it if they would attempt to push past him, his fingers twitched once again. Bella would hate to think what damage that man could do physically.
Flex nodded toward Alec and Jane, before jutting his chin in their direction, a wide toothy smile stretching across his face.
"After you, ladies and gentlemen".
Jane and Alec both turned simultaneously to proceed further down the darkened alleyway, Edward pulled Bella firmly into his side as he pushed away from the wall to follow behind with Alice on Bella's opposite side, and Felix coming up in the rear whistling a lively little tune.
Bella glanced between the two Cullen siblings silently before shifting her gaze to her squeaking trainers, her arms wrapped around herself in an attempt to ground her thoughts and conceal the slight tremor that was taking over her body.
What is going to happen now?

***Actively looking for a beta to help with this story!***
Thank you all for taking the time to read my story. I know it is a heavily used plot initially though I have always thought that there were so many loopholes in Bella's relationship with Edward (and the Cullens) that was never fully considered in the grand scheme of things.
Therefore, this story was created to make Bella address some of these weak area in their relationship, while finding out that her understanding of the vampiric world around her, and her place in it, is not what it seems.
The story starts off similar to previously written Bella/Aro stories in the first couple of chapters since the basic set of interactions will be the same as the book/movie, though there will be some minor changes so you readers can get a better sense of the individual characters personalities which I found was slightly muted in the movies. Towards the end of the second chapter is where this story will start to branch off.
The goal of the story is to force Bella to look at the many lies that was fed to her, what misconceptions she has regarding vampires, and exactly how far some will go to get what they feel belongs to them.
This is my first ever fanfiction so if there are any grammar errors I apologize in advance. I'm hoping to do this story justice.
