Hanzo pulled out some more shuriken and hurled them towards Huitzilopochtli. The war god blocks each attack as he charges towards the ninja. As Huitzilopochtli goes for another swing, Hanzo dodges and slides underneath the sun god. As Huitzilopochtli turns to confront the shinobi, he's met with a chain with a rectangular weight wrapping around his neck.
"W-what the-!" Huitzilopochtli could he manage to say as the chain tightens on his neck.
"What's the matter, sun god?" Hanzo asks with a subtle hint of mockery.
"Never encounter a Kusari-fundo before?"
Huitzilopochtli glares at Hanzo as he has the sun god right where he wants him. Hanzo begins to spin the chain with a spiked ball at the other end faster than the naked eye could see. With enough speed, he swings the end of the Kusari-fundo into Huitzilopochtli's face.
Iga Style: Iron Hawk Bullet
Upon impact, the strikes bust open Huitzilopochtli's forehead as blood spews blood.
"Oh, my gods. OH MY GODS! Hattori Hanzo, The Oni himself, may have just caved in the skull of the Aztec's chief god!" Heimdall exclaims, much to the despair of the gods and the jubilation of humanity.
"H-he did it! Sis! Hera! Did you see that? He defeated Lord Huitzilopochtli in no time flat," Goll excitedly said as she prepared to celebrate until a certain witch interjected.
"Honestly, Goll. You can't be this clueless to think that attack would end this fight."
The youngest valkyrie turns to see Abigail Williams with her ghostly white hair in a ponytail and bandages around her neck from when Sekhmet bit her.
"Abigail? Shouldn't you be resting," Hera said, astounded by the witch's endurance to be out here.
Abigail gave a wry smirk at Hera's question.
"Me? Oh, but I want to see more gods die. Hehehe! Honestly, I got bored after they healed me, so I came to join you."
"OK, but what do you mean that I'm clueless," Goll chimed in, slightly offended by Abigail's remark.
Abigail scoffs as she rolls her eyes.
"You really don't know about Huitzilopochtli's power, do you?"
Goll was confused by the witch's statement.
"Brunhilde, what is she talking about?"
Brunhilde only watches the fight as if she knows what Abigail is referring to.
"Hehehehe," Huitzilopochtli let out a dark chuckle that would make the most stoic of warriors feel fear.
"Oh, human. You shouldn't have busted me open."
Hanzo stares in disbelief as the blood staining the Kusari-fundo begins to sizzle and melt. Heimdall blinked his eyes to see if he was hallucinating.
"Am I seeing this right? Huitzilopochtli's blood is melting Hanzo's weapon!"
The human onlookers were terrified at this moment. They didn't expect Hanzo's very attack to backfire on him.
Hanzo drops the melting Kusari-fundo and backs away from the sun god.
"H-how are you doing this?"
Huitzilopochtli smirks as red steam flows from his wound.
"What? How my blood can melt your silly toys? Hehe, human. My divine treasure isn't my shield. Nor my macuahuitl? No, for my divine weapon..."
Then Huitzilopochtli grins like a demon with red mist pouring out of his mouth and wound.
"IS MY VERY BLOOD!"
The crowd, except for Zeus, Odin, Hermes, the Aztec gods, Hera, Brunhilde, and Abigail, gasped at the reveal.
Goll mutters to herself, "Impossible... Lord Huitzilopochtli's blood as a weapon!? That's ridiculous."
"Is it, though," Abigail replied as she stood beside Goll.
"Yes, Huitzilopochtli's blood is his weapon. Simply put, he can heat up his blood to varying degrees. He can make his very ichor akin to lava or even fires that can rival that of Helheim."
"N-no way. Even if that's true, he would lose a lot of his blood and die," Goll yelled.
"It's not that simple, Goll," Brunhilde retorts.
"Lord Huitzilopochtli's musculature is far denser than any god. Even if you can cut him a hundred times, he'll still have enough blood to fight."
Goll realizes what her sister meant by that.
"So that means Hanzo has to defeat Huitzilopochtli in a short period of time?"
Hera nodded in agreement, "Yes. It's like Khutulun and Ishtar, but now the stakes are more drastic than ever."
In the castle, Huitzilopochtli wipes some of his blood off his face.
"How unfortunate for you, coward. Looks like Hera and those valkyries don't value your life."
Hanzo scoffs as he refuses to let the sun god intimidate him.
"I won't be rattled by a brute such as yourself. Your blood, weapon or not, will not deter me from taking your life."
Huitzilopochtli smirks wickedly, "The words of a warrior, yet fights like a weakling."
Then, the blood on Huitz's hand engulfs into a crimson fireball.
"I won't give me a warrior's death. I'll give you an agonizing one!" Huitzilopochtli bellows as he flung the fireball at Hanzo.
Hanzo narrowly dodges, but the sun god flexes the facial muscles for more blood to pour. Wiping more blood, Huitzilopochtli unleashed a torrent of fireballs in rapid succession.
Tzitzimīmeh: Dying Crimson Stars
Each fireball demolishes the walls, the art, and the floors as Hanzo is forced into dodging these fiery orbs of death. Hanzo reached behind his back and tossed out a plethora of kunai at the Aztec chief god. Huitzilopochtli runs forward and blocks with his right arm. As the kunai cut into his flesh, the blood on his right arm burst into flames. Before Hanzo could react, the sun god rammed him with his burning arm connecting at the shinobi's abdomen.
Coatapec: Wrathful Mountainous Fire
Hanzo screamed in agony as he was thrown through one of the shoji. The audience of humanity watched in terror as their champion had severe burns across his chest and stomach.
"Did you see that? Huitzilopchtli has seared Hattori Hanzo like a pan trout! Humanity may taste defeat sooner than expected," Heimdall claimed as most gods cheered for their champion.
Tezcatlipoca smugly smirks as he says, "Honestly, Quetz, I don't know why you worry so much. Our little brother has this little ninja right where he wants him. This fight will be over and done."
"Tezca, don't underestimate Hanzo, brother. I've learned shinobis have a variety of tactics," Quetzalcoatl stated.
"True, but my son's blood will make those tactics hard to use," Cōātlīcue said confidently.
Meanwhile, at the human's side, a booming voice shook the human onlookers.
"DAMN IT! THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME FIGHTING THAT GOD!"
Bellowing from the top of his lungs is a muscular Japanese man in his early forties with wild black hair in a loose ponytail, light yellow eyes, and a faded chinstrap beard. He wears silver and dark blue samurai armor with his toned arms exposed, a heavy pauldron over his right shoulder, a tiger pelt around his waist held by a black rope, tucked black hakama, jika-tabi boots, and large wooden prayer beads worn across the chest.
The Diamond General of Tokugawa Ieyasu
Honda Tadakatsu (Japan)
"Heihachirō-sama, will you calm yourself, old friend? I don't understand why you want to fight so badly?"
A seventeen-year-old Japanese man speaks to Tadakatsu. He has a slim physique, boyish good looks, short blonde hair, turquoise eyes, and a scar across his nose. He wears a golden yellow kimono with a white cloud pattern, black hakama, short sky blue and white jinbaori with the symbol of three hollyhocks crest on the back, golden bracers, golden shinguards, golden yoroi, and tabi boots.
One of the Three Unifiers of Japan
Tokugawa Ieyasu (Japan)
Honda turned to his lord and said with an irritated tone.
"I know my lord, but... GAH! Look at Huitzilopochtli. Even injuring him gives him power! I'm aware that Hanzo-san is a samurai like us, but against a monster like that, I don't see how he can defeat."
Then Nobunaga's voice chuckled, much to Tokugawa's annoyance.
"It seems one of your generals doesn't have faith in Hanzo. Am I right, Takechiyo?"
Tokugawa turns to the left, seeing Nobunaga, Ranmaru, Yasuke, and Randgriz.
"Don't get cocky, Nobunaga. Like how I brought Japan to prosperity, Hanzo will do the same," Tokugawa says confidently.
Tokugawa looked at Yasuke and gasped at Yasuke's new arm. It resembled his old arm but had metallic lines of symmetry running down it.
"Yasuke-sama, your arm..."
Yasuke notices Tokugawa's glance and smiles as he lifts his new arm to show it off.
"Yes, thanks to Ada and some medical gods, my arm got an upgrade, as she says."
Honda then sees the arm and spots a tattoo in kanji that says Seiten Taisei.
"Great Sage? Isn't that the name of the Wukong god you slayed?" Honda said, and Yasuke gave a mournful grin as he gently caressed the tattoo.
"Yes, it is my way of remembering my dear friend," Yasuke remarked regretfully, recalling his epic struggle with Sun Wukong.
Honda sighed loudly, "That's nice and all, but this sun god is not very nice to Hanzo-san. Huitzilopochtli's blood essentially can burn anything to ash. How will Hanzo-san compete with that?"
Randgriz let out a small giggle, much to the surprise of the samurai.
"Randgriz, do you know something," Yasuke asked his partner curiously.
Rangriz smiles reassuringly and says, "I wouldn't worry about Hanzo. For he is in good company with the sister."
"Your sister?" Ranmaru spoke, perplexed by what the valkyrie was saying.
Randgriz nodded as she focused back on the action.
"Yes, and I'll about to see Hanzo's skills and my sister's ability in effect."
Returning to the fight, Hanzo leans on a wall as he struggles to stand. Huitzilopochtli enters the room and sees Hanzo in a pitiful state.
"Teh, what a joke. I didn't even go all out yet who you are. Practically broken. This is exactly why I hate you humans now. Once, your kind were warriors! Champions of the battlefield! Now, reduce to this. Poison. Nuclear weapons. Those damn drones. That's not how one wages war."
Hanzo chuckled harshly despite the pain he was in.
"H...how humorous from a god with fire in his blood."
The Aztec chief god rolls his eyes in disgust.
"Give me a break. You humans always complain about how it's unfair that the gods have power. For fuck sake, how did humanity become so pathetic!"
Hanzo snorts bitterly.
Huitzilopochtli scoffs back, "Once, I used to respect mankind. Back when you humans fought for something. Regardless if it's for your country, kingdom, family, or even glory, your type had a reason to fight. But as time passes, most of you've lost your battling spirit. Using dishonorable techniques such as bombing villages and releasing deadly poisons. All of you spit on the very foundation of war and honor it brings."
"Honor?" Hanzo said with a dry smirk on his face.
"You talk about honor, yet you gods cause chaos whenever you go. Your kind wish to kill the human race, and for what? Because we failed to meet your absurd expectations. Let me make this clear, sun god. I will slay you regardless of honor or not."
Huitzilopochtli growls as he rushes to carve the samurai in half. Before he could strike, one of his feet stepped on a hidden pressure plate, and the ceiling opened up as water doused the sun god.
"What the- AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Huitzilopochtli could only yell as Hanzo pulled out two tasers and struck them onto Huitz's stomach.
Iga Style: Fangs of the Raiju
Hanzo increases the voltage of electricity as Huitzilopochtli's body spasms.
"No, Huitzy!" Itzpapalotl screamed in concern along with her fellow Aztecs.
Huitzilopochtli's screams turned into enraged snarls as he managed to power through the lightning flowing in his body and, with sheer force, knocked away Hanzo. As he did this, he saw Hanzo reach behind his back and pull out a red Japanese scroll.
"Are you ready, Hlokk?" Hanzo said as he unfurled the scroll, and an image of a massive shuriken appeared on the page.
Then, an abrasive, bratty voice answers the Iga clan leader.
"No, duh, idiot! Of course, I'm ready."
Hanzo slightly smirked as he flung the scroll, and the shuriken emerged from the page and flew to slash across the right waist of the sun god.
Fuuma Style: Steel Wind Shuriken
The Aztec gods watched in disbelief while the samurai and Randgriz beamed with pride.
Huitzilopochtli drops to one knee while resting his hand on his wound. Hanzo looked down at the sun god and smirked with pure confidence.
"You think we humans don't have our fighting style? How wrong you are? Hlokk and I will show you the advancement of humanity's fighting spirit," Hanzo declared as his scrolls glowed fiercely.
Hello, everyone! It's been a while. I'm sorry I haven't been uploading the latest chapter of Record of Ragnarok: Revelations. I took a bit of a vacation to refresh my mind. But now, I'm back and better than ever. Thank you all for your patience, and I hope to get back on schedule.
