Lori is running through an obstacle course while dodging some arrows, saws, barriers and began to run up the temple walls. Right after she ran down the temple wall, she stopped and looked around and sees no sigh of her master.
"Where's master Miros?" Lori asked.
Suddenly she hears something appear next to her. She then sees a staff swing at her face forcing to bend backwards to dodge it. She quickly recovers and goes for a kick which is blocked by the staff. The holder of the staff let out a satisfied grunt.
"Well done young Lori." Miros compliments as Lori lowers her leg which allowed Miros to lower his staff. "Faster and stronger you gotten."
"Thank you master." Lori says with a bow. "I can't thank you enough for your help." Miros shakes.
"Thanks, there are is no need for." Miros states. "Pride in seeing students get stronger, that is my thanks." However he then frowns. "To teach you, there is not much. However, an important lesson there is still to teach. The Speed Sense."
"The Speed Sense? Is that like Spider-Man's Spidey sense?" Lori asked.
"In a way yes. Everything around you will slow down around you."
"Ok so how do I learn this technique?" Lori asks. Miros sighs.
"Teach you, I cannot." Miros tells her. "Gain the ability yourself you must. Move your body without thinking you must. Learn in time you will."
"If you say so Master." Lori says. "I trust you." Her watch goes off. "Surprised I'm getting a call." She presses a button on her watch. "What's up?"
"Hey Lori!" Mr. Cuddles greeted. "We got news!" Lori tilts her head.
"What kind of news?" She asks.
"We found Mercer." Cuddles told her causing Lori's eyes to widen.
"What?" Lori gasped.
"Yeah. Ryker had been tracking him for a few days now and found his hideout last night." Mr. Cuddles explained. "We're calling in the whole team to get him and Lana told us that you wanted to know when we found him. So, you want in?" Lori hesitates and looks at Miros who nods.
"I'm in." Lori tells him.
The Louds, Santiagos, Clyde and Sam are at the Warehouse. "So we found Mercer. It felt like years since we last encountered that guy." Lynn said.
"Well either way, I'm gonna make him pay." Lincoln growled as he punched his fist into his palm. "It's because of him that Irate almost destroyed the city."
"He definitely has a lot to answer for." Charles said from his spot with the other pets. "Not to mention that he also mind controlled Lincoln, Lucy, the twins and Lisa to serve as his servants."
"Plus any other crimes we don't know about." Luna added. "So according to Ryker, Mercer is currently hiding out at the old Asylum." Lana raises her hand. "Yeah Lans?"
"Is there any place in Royal Woods that isn't abandoned or old?" Lana asked.
"I'm sure this is the last old and abandoned place." Luna replied.
"So how are we going to capture this guy without the whole being his servants thing?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"That's gonna be the hard part." Luna admitted. "Since we don't really know how his powers work because Lincoln, Lucy, the twins and Lisa didn't remember anything from their encounter with him. So I guess just be careful."
"Shame we didn't hunt him down earlier." Lucy sighed.
"I know. But we were busy with other villains." Luna stated.
"Well it's time we changed that." A voice said. They all turn and see Lori standing in the doorway. "It's time that Mercer paid for all his crimes."
"Lori!" The Loud siblings and pets exclaimed before rushing her and engulfing her in a group hug.
"Babe. You're back!" Bobby smiled.
"So I'm guessing you finished your training?" Walt asked.
"For now at least." Lori answered as separated from her siblings with Lily in her arms. "There's one thing I have to learn but Miros can't teach me so I'm home now."
"I'm just glad you're back babe. There is a lot of things I want to fill you in on. But we have to find Mercer." Bobby said.
"And that's what we're going to do." Lori says. "Let's not waste any time. Let's go get this son of a bitch."
The L-Crew are right outside of the old Asylum. "This feels like the start of a horror film." Wildgirl gulped.
"Maybe we'll see some ghosts." Black Ice said as she smiled.
Speed Queen rolls her eyes and turns to Ryker who was lighting a cigar. "You sure he's in there?" She asked. Ryker takes a puff of his cigar.
"Yeah I'm positive." Ryker replied. "Went in there like a man on a mission."
"This place is huge." Crystal Princess said. "It's going to take forever to find him."
"Here's how we're going to find Mercer. We're gonna split up into teams." Speed Queen explained.
"How about three teams of five?" Ms. Appear suggested. "Speed Queen leads one, Amplifier leads another and I lead the last one."
"Sounds good." Speed Queen says with Amplifier nodding in agreement. "I'll take Firecracker, Prodigy, Armor, and Ryker."
"I'll take Surge, Wildgirl, Multiple Girl, and Genorocker." Amplifier said.
"Thanks for letting me on your team." Genorocker said.
"That leaves me with Crystal Princess, Black Ice, Parkour and Greenthumb." Ms. Appear said.
"Alright. We got our teams." Speed Queen says. "Everyone split up and above all, be careful." Everyone nods and run off with their respective teams. Unknown to them, a camera was watching them.
Speed Queen's team are walking down the hallways, Armor looked around and sees old gurneys and wheelchairs. "He couldn't have picked an old hotel?" Armor asked,
"We don't have one." Firecracker said.
"We had an abandoned psychiatric hospital but it was torn down." Prodigy says. "That was Mercer's last hideout."
"Y'all have some weird places in this time." Ryker comments as he carries his shotgun. They then hear the intercom.
"Ah hello L-Crew." The voice on the intercom says. "You're just in time for your appointment. As for my old patients I'm glad you decided to do a follow-up visit."
"Mercer." Speed Queen growled. "I figured that this was too easy."
"Don't count on it Speed Queen." Mercer said. "We have much to catch up on."
"We sure do." Firecracker said as his fists began to steam.
"Ah my favorite patient." Mercer says. "Don't worry my boy because I have plans for you. But for now have fun with my other patients."
"Wait you kidnapped people to serve you!" Armor asked.
"I do what I must to get the job done." Mercer says. "Have fun children! You'll never stop me!"
The group looked forward and sees citizens walking towards them. "Not this again." Firecracker groaned.
"Ryker, I suggest you put your gun again. We don't want to harm them!" Speed Queen ordered.
Ryker growled but lowers his gun. "Then how do you expect to get through Speed Queen?" He asked.
"We're gonna have to beat them without our powers." Armor said.
"Grr. Screw this!" Firecracker shouted. "Mercer needs to be taken down!" He goes full flame and flies over the mind controlled civilians and down the hall.
"Firecracker get back here!" Speed Queen called out. "Dang it! I'm gotta stop him before he gets into trouble!"
"No worries eldest sibling." Prodigy assured her. "I'll go after him!" She levitates off the ground and flies after Firecracker.
"That's not what I meant!" Speed Queen shouted but fell on deaf ears. "Ugh. Alright boys, let's just get through this crowd without hurting them too badly."
"So we'll use our fists? Got it." Ryker said.
"Let's do this!" Armor shouted before the three rushed the crowd.
In another part of the Asylum, Amplifier's team were making their way through a room with cells.
"Crazy that a place like this actually existed." Amplifier says.
"Yeah it sure is." Wildgirl said.
"If any lunatic is around the corner. I'm going to scream." said Multiple Girl said but then a spider drops down right in front of her. "SPIDER!" She screamed.
"Multiple Girl, you've faced monsters, evil versions of yourself, demons and genocidal maniacs yet you're still afraid of spiders?" Surge points out.
"I mean when you put it like that it sounds silly." Multiple Girl says from where she was in Genarocker's arms.
"It sure is." Wildgirl said as Multiple Girl steps down from Genorocker's hands.
"I think we're ignoring the big picture." Genarocker reminds them. "Mercer literally just said he has plans for Firecracker as well as a bunch of mind controlled people working under him."
"And knowing my bro, he probably ditched his team to go after Mercer." Amplifier finished. "Which means we can't waste time."
"Let's get going!" Genorocker shouted.
"But we have to get through mind controlled citizens." Surge said as she pointed to mind controlled citizens.
"Ugh not this again!" Genorocker groaned.
"What do we do?" Wildgirl asked.
"Defend yourselves but try not to hurt them to badly." Amplifier ordered.
"You got it Moon." Genorocker said as she gets into a battle stance.
"This is going to be the hardest part of the mission." Wildgirl said.
In one of the higher levels of the asylum, Ms. Appear's team sat in a forcefield as mind controlled citizens tried to attack them.
"Well this isn't how I expected this to go." Ms. Appear comments.
"Hey at least none of them are Metahumans." Crystal Princess shrugged. "At least I hope."
"Try not to jinx us." Parkour said.
"Sorry." Crystal Princess mumbled. "So what do we do?"
"Simple." Ms. Appear replied. "First, I'm gonna do this." She waves her hand and her forcefield expands pushing the people away. "And now we're gonna go on our way and beat up Mercer before Firecracker does something stupid."
"We better hurry." Parkour said.
"We need to get to Mercer first." Crystal Princess said.
"Sigh. Let's hope we're not too late." Black Ice says.
Firecracker flew through the hallway with Prodigy not far behind him.
"Elder brother this doesn't seem wise." Prodigy tells him.
"Stay out of this Lis." Firecracker replied. "I want him to pay for ruining my life."
"I understand that but if you're not careful the same thing could happen!" Prodigy argued. They come across the door to the former head of the asylum's office.
"He's gotta be in here!" Firecracker growled.
"I suggest we catch him off guard." Prodigy began, but Firecracker ignited his fists and shots a fireball Hadouken at the door. "Or that works." Prodigy sighs.
The smoke clears to show Mercer sitting behind a desk with several monitors behind him. "Aw my patients have arrived for a follow-up session." He says.
"Mercer. You have a lot to answer for." Firecracker said with a scowl. "You almost ruined my life." Mercer just chuckles.
"Indeed but as usual you pulled through." Mercer responds. "Annoyingly so. In all honesty I wasn't expecting an alternate personality to just appear like that. That was just sheer luck." He stands up and walks out from behind his desk. "You know Firecracker, it was your fault that you and your younger sisters fell under my control in the first place."
"This is different. We're not going to let you use us as your puppets." Firecracker said.
However, Mercer just laughs. "Oh my dear boy, I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to disappoint you." He says. "I don't want you. I want your other half." Suddenly his eyes shine red and Firecracker tenses up.
"What's happening?" He gasps. "Prodigy what's happening?" Firecracker clutches his head as Mercer uses his powers on him.
"I don't know? He must be controlling you." Prodigy said.
"That's not it. You think you killed the other half of Firecracker?" Mercer said. "You're wrong. It's a part of him and always will be."
Firecracker turns to Prodigy with a pained expression. "Prodigy. Help me!" He shouted. Prodigy's eyes widen but nods.
"Fear not brother!" Prodigy shouted. She concentrates on Firecracker's mind. "I can feel something. It feels familiar. I can't help at this state. Forgive me!" She thrusts her hands forward and launches Firecracker into a wall causing him to hit his head, knocking him out. She turns to Mercer. "Don't think you're escaping from me."
"We'll see about that." Mercer said before running out of the room. Suddenly a wall comes crashing down. When the smoke clears it reveals Amplifier's team.
"Mercer!" Amplifier shouted.
"Looks like I have two more patients." Mercer said as he looked at Surge and Genorocker.
"You're gonna pay." Wildgirl growled before going wolf.
"I'd like to see you try." Mercer taunted before running out of the room.
"Damn it." Amplifier growled before turning to Prodigy standing over the unconscious Firecracker who was tossing and turning. "Bro." She immediately gets to their side. "What's up with him?"
"He's seems to be in some sort of conflict in his mind." Prodigy explained. "I can help him but it'll take a bit of time." Amplifier looks at her and nods.
"Surge and Genarocker, you two stay here and protect Prodigy." Amplifier ordered. "Me, Wildgirl and Multiple Girl are gonna go after Mercer. We can't let him escape. I'll let the others know what's going on. Understood?"
"Understood." Prodigy said.
"We won't let anything bad happen to your siblings." Genorocker said.
"What she said." Surge says as she sat by Firecracker head. "C'mon Lame-o. Don't let whatever you're fighting beat you." Amplifier nods she runs out of the room with Multiple Girl and Wildgirl following.
"Have you even done this before Lis?" Genorocker asked.
"Not at this magnitude." Prodigy admitted. "However whatever my elder brother is facing in his mind is causing him great pain."
"So you'll also be facing whatever he's facing?" Surge asked and Prodigy nodded.
"Yes. However I have a theory that whatever he's facing we've faced before." Prodigy told them. "It's time to proceed." She kneels by Firecracker's head and puts her hands on either side of his head and then closed her eyes. She then concentrated.
When Prodigy opened her eyes she noticed she was in a room with many doors.
"What in the world?" Prodigy exclaimed. "What is this place?" She walks around the room towards one of the doors and opens it where she sees younger versions of her oldest sisters playing in the front yard with a baby with white hair. "Those must be my eldest sisters! Which means the baby is Lincoln. If I'm seeing the past, then this room must house Lincoln's memories."
"How observant of you Lisa." A voice said. "However you do realize you're trespassing?" Prodigy looks around, her guard up.
"That voice. It can't be." Prodigy gasped. "Irate?"
"Ding ding ding! We have a winner!" Irate said though Prodigy still couldn't see him.
"How is this possible?" Prodigy demanded. "You were destroyed!"
"That is what you think. But rage never dies, I began to regain my presence and power. However the process is slow." Irate growled.
"I won't allow you to take control of my brother!" Prodigy protested.
"You mean your test subject!" Irate corrected.
"No. My brother is no test subject." Prodigy growled. "I've stopped using my siblings as test subjects because I know they were one of the reasons that you were created! Now, what's you're plan? There's no possible way you're strong enough to take over Lincoln's body."
"As smart as advertised." Irate mocked. "But yes, you are correct. I'm currently not strong enough to take over Lincoln's body because thanks to you and that damn reactor he's unable to get the rage that released me before. But there are other ways. Like for example, breaking his will."
"How do you plan to do that? Alter his memories?" Prodigy asked.
"Actually yes." Irate answers. "As long as I'm in his mind, I can alter his memories which will break his will and in turn allow me to take control of Lincoln's body."
"I despise being right at times." Prodigy muttered. "But I will stop your evil plan."
"I love to stay and chat. But I have some memories to alter." Irate said.
"No wait!" Prodigy shouted but the voice didn't respond. "Dang it. If Irate takes over Lincoln's body, he'll be almost unstoppable! I must figure what memory he went too first!"
She then hears crying from behind her and sees the infant Lincoln crying. "Why is he crying?" Prodigy asked.
She heads to the door to see infant Lincoln being held by his parents in a limo. To her surprise, she looks at her parents' faces and sees disdain.
"Ugh. A boy." Rita said. "Why couldn't we get another girl?"
"And his hair is white? People will see him as a freak!" Lynn sr said.
"That's not how our parents recall Lincoln's birth." said Prodigy.
"As far as he's concerned, it is." Irate's voice says. "Do you see what I'm capable of Lisa? Any change even one as minor as this will work towards breaking his will. Little by little." Prodigy scowled.
"You will pay for this Irate!" Prodigy shouted. "I need to figure out his next target and quickly. I'll attempt to fix this memory later. If I can." She closes the memory door and looks at the remaining doors. "But there are so many memories. Which one would he target?" She then gasps. "The first memory he altered was his birth, which means he's targeting important memories that helped shape him to be who he is today. I just gotta figure out which memories he would target! Also, how would he remember his birth? That's impossible. Focus Lisa! You're trying to save your brother." She runs to a different door.
Back at the Asylum, Speed Queen, Armor and Ryker swiftly and gently defeated the mind controlled civilians.
"Alright let's get moving." Speed Queen ordered. Her watch then goes off. "What's up?"
"Mercer is on the run!" Amplifier said on the other end. "Wildgirl, Multiple Girl and I are hot on his trail."
"Did you run into Firecracker?" Speed Queen asked.
"He's down." Amplifier replied. "Not sure what Mercer did to him but Firecracker is down for the count. Prodigy, Surge and Genarocker are with him."
"That's good to hear. Don't loss him, the last thing we want is him loose on the streets." Speed Queen said,
"Prodigy thinks it might be something more than that but she's not completely sure." Amplifier told her. "But she assured me that she can help him. We need to chase down Mercer before he escapes."
"Agreed. We meet up with you soon." Speed Queen said. She hangs up. "You boys ready?"
"I am but Ryker's gone." Armor told her. Speed Queen turns around and sees their resident gunslinger no longer with them.
"What the? How did he do that?" Speed Queen asked. "Better yet, when did he leave?"
"He must have snuck pass you while you were talking to Amplifier?" Armor said.
"Of course." Speed Queen said.
"So what's the plan?" Armor asked. Speed Queen thinks about it before turning to him.
"We're gonna meet up with Amplifier and get Mercer." Speed Queen answered. "You still with all in?"
"You know it babe." Armor nodded,
"Then let's get him!" Speed Queen says before they run off.
In another part of the Asylum, Ms. Appear's team were making their way down the stairs. As they headed down the staircase they see Mercer running in. His eyes widen when he sees them.
"Damn it. There's more of them!" Mercer shouted.
"Mercer!" Ms. Appear shouted. "You go down today!"
"Oh I wish I can. But other appointments to attend to." Mercer said as he ran away.
"Get back here!" Crystal Princess shouted as she shot crystal shards at Mercer.
"Don't let him escape!" Ms. Appear ordered. "If he escapes then everything is screwed."
"Sigh. So much pressure." Black Ice says before forming two ice blades. "Let's get him."
"Hell yeah!" Parkour agrees as she punches her fist into her palm while Greenthumb giggles.
The team began to chase after Mercer. "Get back here Mercer!" Crystal Princess shouted. "I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!"
"I'd like to see you try!" Mercer shouted as he ran down the stairs. As he runs past another door, it gets knocked off it's hinges. Seconds later, Armor and Speed Queen step through.
"Going somewhere Mercer?" Speed Queen asked. "Spoiler alert the answer is no."
Mercer turned around only to see Amplifier, Muiltiple Girl and Wildgirl facing right in front of him. "End of the line dude." Amplifier said.
"So you think." Mercer says with a smirk. He pulls out a remote and presses one of the buttons. Seconds later T-Bots come swarming into the staircase. "Have fun L-Crew!"
"Damn it! Since when does he have robots!?" Amplifier exclaimed.
"I guess he had free time on his hands." Multiple Girl shrugged.
"Wait. These robots look like the same ones that Stuart had working for him." Speed Queen says as she kicked a T-Bot.
"Wait are you saying that Stuart and Mercer were working together?" Parkour asked as she gave a T-Bot an uppercut.
"We need to take these robots to the junkyard and get the info out of Mercer." Ms. Appear said as she blocked a T-bot's attack with her a forcefield.
"Damn it!" Amplifier growled as she blasted a T-Bot. "Where the hell is Ryker?"
"No clue." Armor admitted as he punched a T-Bot. "He pulled a Black Ice and disappeared."
"Really?" Black Ice asked as she froze a T-Bot. "Are we really going to use my name as a phrase? Sigh."
"In our defense you do it a lot." Wildgirl reasoned as she went black bear and slashed two T-Bots.
Armor absorbed some metal from the T-bot coating his body in metal and began to beat them up. "What about Surge and Genorocker?" Armor asked.
"I'm sure they're fine." Speed Queen said.
"This is hell!" Genarocker shouted as she slashed a T-Bot that tried to get in the room. "Where the hell did all these robots come from?"
"How the hell am I suppose to know?!" Surge asked as she fired two energy blasts from her hands at two T-bots.
"We need more members on the team. You sure your cousins don't have powers!" Genorocker asked as she blocked a T-Bot's punch.
"Nah, we're good." Surge said as shot another T-Bot's head clean off.
"Why couldn't we bring Petty?" Genarocker groaned before smashing another T-Bot.
"Something about benching him for a few days after what he did to Mirage." Surge replied as she blasted another T-Bot. "Which is also the same reason Road Hazard isn't here because he's visiting her in the Dungeon's hospital ward."
"I'm not gonna ask why he's visiting her!" Genorocker replied as she dodged another T-bot's attack. "I just wish Prodigy would speed up the process."
"Wonder what's taking so long?" Surge asked.
Prodigy wandered around Firecracker's mind trying to find Irate's next target.
"Dang it. What memory is he in?" Prodigy wondered.
Prodigy entered another memory where she enters the hallways of Lincoln's school. Prodigy walked around until she sees Ronnie Anne dragging Lincoln.
"C'mon you Lame-o. Time to teach you a lesson." Ronnie Anne says. However this version of her didn't have the playful tone in her voice.
"Ronnie Anne please let me go!" Lincoln begged. However his cries didn't get nowhere as Ronnie Anne proceeded to punch him in the face.
"Shut up dork!" Ronnie Anne growled before dragging him into the bathroom and into the stalls. "Have a drink!" She then shoves Lincoln's head into the toilet and flushes.
"That's not how this encounter went." Prodigy stated.
"That's for kissing me in front of your sisters." Ronnie Anne said.
"They told me to." Lincoln protested.
"Wow you actually believed them you are dumb." Ronnie Anne said as she dunked Lincoln's head again and flushed.
"A beautiful sight isn't it?" Irate taunts. "A relationship that never gets started. What a shame."
"So you're not just changing his memories of us, you're changing his memories of all his relationships!" Prodigy growled.
"Like I said, anyway to break his will." Irate says. "Now let's see. What memory to change now?" The voice goes silent. "Ah! I know the perfect one! A memory that already is bad but I can make worse. Better hurry Lisa because this could really break him!"
"Which one is it?" Prodigy asked herself until her eyes widened. "Oh crapbaskets. I know which memory Irate plans to alter next. I need to hurry!" Prodigy runs to the exit of the memory.
She approached a door and immediately opens it where she sees her sisters as well as herself surrounding Lincoln.
"Oh dear. Am I too late?" Prodigy asked. She shakes her head. "No. I can't be. If Irate succeeds here, he will be free. Time to do what I should've done months ago." She walks through the door and as soon as she does, the memory version of her disappeared. "I see. I'm taking the memory version of me's place in this. Very well then. Time to make things right."
"You should have stayed out of the sister fight protocol Stinkoln!" Lynn shouted.
"I was just trying to help." Lincoln said as tears streamed down his face.
"You made it worst!" Lola shouted.
"I'm sorry!" Lincoln cried.
"Sorry bro that ain't gonna work this time around." Luna growled. The Loud sisters slowly approached Lincoln when Prodigy gets in between.
"Lisa. What are you doing?" Lori asked.
"Hear me out sisters." Prodigy said. "I understand he was just trying to help, but attacking him is not the way to do."
"Now, you're defending me?" Lincoln asked in disbelief,
Prodigy turns to Lincoln. "Of course." She replied. "Because I love you elder brother. And if I'm being honest, this is my fault to begin with. I should've told you about this when it was created in the first place. But I didn't. And because of my failure, you suffered for it." She takes a deep breath. "I am so sorry Lincoln."
"The more I think about it. Maybe we should have told him about the sister fight protocol thingie." Leni said. "It would have saved us some time."
"And probably would've saved some arguments." Lori added. "God what were we literally thinking?"
"We had to make it a girl thing. Fashion was more of our turf." Luna said.
"This whole protocol was so stupid to begin with." Lola replied.
"Also the fact that that it was over a dress is kinda stupid." Lana added.
"It's working." Prodigy says.
"What's working?" Lincoln asks surprising Prodigy. "Lisa what's going on?"
"It's complicated." Prodigy said as her eyes went back and forth.
"Lisa, why are you in my head?" Lincoln asks suddenly shocking her.
"Pardon?" Prodigy says.
"Why are you in my head?" Lincoln repeated. Before she can reply, a voice echos around the memory.
"HOW DARE YOU!" Irate's voice shouted causing the memory to shake. "HOW DARE YOU INTERFERE! FINE. IF THIS IS HOW YOU WANT TO PLAY LISA, THEN SO BE IT! I'LL DO WHAT I SHOULD'VE DONE WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVED HERE!" Suddenly a small flaming twister appears in the memory. When the twister stopped, Irate stood in it's place. "This is where you die Lisa!"
"Oh dear." Prodigy gulped.
"I'll boil your insides and smoke you alive!" Irate threatened. "I will take control of Lincoln's body and the world will burn!"
He flies towards her and tackles her out of the memory. Irate then grabs her and throws her into the air where he then shoots a stream of flames at her. Prodigy however stops herself in the air and holds her hands out stopping the flames right before they hit.
"My brother is no puppet!" Prodigy shouted as she redirected the flames to Irate much to his surprise.
"How is that possible?!" Irate growled.
"After we defeated my siblings and I recieved some training." Prodigy stated.
"Hmph. You're still no match for me!" Irate shouted. "Don't forget you're in my world runt! I make the rules here! And in here, I have all the power I need!"
"Damn it. He's right." Prodigy thought as long as I'm in my brother's head, it'll be near impossible to beat him."
"Lisa?" Prodigy turns and sees memory Lincoln standing in the doorway of the memory. "What are you doing?"
"She's trying to kill you Lincoln!" Irate shouted. "She was spend by Lori to mess up your mind."
"What?" Lincoln gasped.
"Lincoln don't listen to him!" Prodigy shouted. "This is Irate, the physical manifestation of your anger! Months ago he tried to destroy the city with your powers and left you weakened and damaged mentally. Lincoln a few moments ago, you asked me why I was in your head. You know something isn't right. You know that this whole thing is wrong and that he doesn't belong! I'm only here to help you! I've almost lost you before to Irate and I refuse to let that happen again!"
"She's lying! Where was she when the bad luck incident happened?" Irate asked. "She was suppose to be the smart one."
"You're not wrong." Lincoln whispered. "Out of everyone I would've thought she would be the one who didn't believe me. But she was just as bad." As he was saying that, Irate's flames got bigger.
"No, no, no." Prodigy panicked.
"Yes. Yes. Yes!" Irate shouted. "Soon, I will be free!" Prodigy let's out a growl before sighing.
"Lincoln. I was wrong." Prodigy says catching Lincoln by surprise. "I should've never have believed Lynn and had gone with my gut. But I didn't and in the end you paid for it. Since that day, I have felt horrible for doing that. And since then, I've been trying to make it up to you but I know that noting I do would ever erase the horrible thing that was the bad luck incident."
"She's lying!" Irate shouted. "She'll go back on her word. They'll always will."
"No. They don't." Lincoln says. "I remember now. Every mistake that they made, they always tried to make up for it. I remember how the Sister Fight Protocol actually went. I yelled at them. Told them I hated them. It was the first time I had ever seen Lucy cry. Next day, they did everything to make it up to me. Let me in the bathroom first, let me have first choice of breakfast burrito, driving me around with no favor to return. Hell they actually added me to the Protocol to make it the Sibling Fight Protocol. They never hurt me. They never beat me up!" He glares at Irate. "You changed my memories! Ronnie Anne never beat me up after I kissed her. The two of us actually started hanging out and started to become friends!"
"No. It's all a lie. Your sister gaslit you!" Irate lied.
"That's a lie!" Lincoln glared.
"What?" Irate gasped.
"That's a lie!" Lincoln repeated. "Everything you've said has been based off of what you think. Not what I think!" Flames start dancing around Lincoln. "And I'm tired of you messing with my head!" An inferno then surrounds Lincoln and when the flames dissipates, Lincoln is gone and in his place stands Firecracker.
"What is happening? I'm supposed to be in control!" Irate panicked.
"No Irate. I have had it with you. My sisters may not perfect, but we're still family damn it. You are alone Irate and always will be." Lincoln said.
Irate let's out a shout and flies towards Lincoln who flies to meet him. The two clash and fly around the memory space blasting each other with fire.
"You're the reason I'm alone!" Irate shouted as he punched Lincoln. "You sealed me away in your mind! You're the reason I'm like this!"
Lincoln blocked Irate's punch and returned a punch back. "You ruined my mind, my reputation and my life!" Lincoln gives Irate an uppercut and returns two fiery punches to the gut. "I'm not going to trap you in my memory. I'm going to finish you off once and for all."
"And then what? I'll just break free again!" Irate countered as he hit Lincoln with a kick sending him crashing down. "You can't ever be free of me!"
"That changes now!" Lincoln growled as he flew back up with flames surrounding his body.
"Damn you!" Irate shouted as he's also surrounded by flames shaped like a Phoenix. "You die here!"
"Then let's finish this. Together!" Lincoln shouted as he flew towards Irate with his flames in the shape of a wolf,
Irate let out a shout of his own as he flew to meet him. When the two clashed, flames erupted all around with Prodigy using her powers to shield herself from the flames.
"LINCOLN!" Prodigy cried out in worry.
Both Lincoln and Irate were in a power struggle trying to push each back. As the struggle continued the flames began to get stronger and powerful with each push. "Your love for your family and friends is nothing more but a sham." Irate said. "After all they done to you why you still stick with them?"
"Like you said." Lincoln grunted. "They're my family. And even with all the hardships and pain, family sticks together no matter what! That's what makes us family! Now go to hell!"
The flames on Lincoln's end got stronger and spread towards Irate consuming him, as the Phoenix disappears as the wolf remained. Irate screams in pain and drops to the ground, Irate tried to get back up but was reduced to ashes before he can stand.
"My mind is my own." Lincoln panted. He turns to Prodigy and holds out a hand. "You ok?"
"I'm fine brother." Prodigy said as she grabbed Lincoln's hand got back up.
"Thanks for saving me from Irate." Lincoln
"You're welcome." Prodigy says. "Though I do wonder if he's gone for good this time."
"He better be." Lincoln said. "I don't want him to come back and ruin my mind and reputation."
"Do not fear Lincoln and Lisa." The two turn and see Wolf and Owl approaching them. "Irate had been destroyed and Lincoln's memories have been repaired." Wolf told them.
"That is a relief." Prodigy says. "I actually thought I was too late."
"There's still some unfinished business we have with Mercer." Lincoln said.
"Then I suggest you catch him before he gets away." Owl stated.
Lincoln looks down at Prodigy. "You should go." He tells her. "Don't worry. I'll be fine."
"If you say so elder brother." Prodigy says. Lincoln smiles and pulls her into a hug.
"Thank you." Lincoln said. "For saving me."
Prodigy closed her eyes and when she opened them she finds herself back in the real world where Surge and Genorocker facing off against T-bots. "These robots again?" Prodigy said. "Keep one of them intact I need to study its origins!"
"I make no promises!" Genarocker shouted as she slashed a T-Bot. "These things are trying to keep us from getting Mercer!"
Surge shot down three T-bots with energy blasts. "I'll try!" Surge shouted as she dodged more robots' punches and shots.
A T-Bot gets passed the two heroes and flies towards Prodigy. Before Prodigy can defend herself, fireball comes in and destroys it. Prodigy turns to see Firecracker back on his feet.
"Eyes up Prodigy!" Firecracker tells her.
"Glad you're awake Firecracker." Surge smirked. "Shall we continue our chase for Mercer?"
"Yeah we will." Firecracker smirked back,
"Speed Queen what's happening right now?" Prodigy asked on her watch as the four ran out of the room.
"Right now we're trying to clear out these robots." Speed Queen reported. "You four need to get to the exit before he can escape. If he hasn't already."
"On it." The four say in unison.
"No where to run Mercer. You're heading towards the Dungeon's ER with 3rd degree burns!" Firecracker stated as he ran.
Mercer ran through the hallway towards the ground floor. He could faintly hear the chaos happening upstairs as the L-Crew battled the T-Bots.
"Those fools will never catch me." Mercer said with a smirk as he entered the lobby of the Asylum. He quickly runs to the door right as the doors of the staircase are blasted off. He looks behind him and sees Firecracker, Prodigy, Surge and Genarocker.
"You ain't going nowhere Mercer!" Firecracker shouted. Mercer scowled but smirks as he reached .
"You're too late Firecracker! I escape again!" Mercer says with a laugh. "Farewell!" He steps outside only to get hit in the side of the head with the butt of a shotgun knocking him down. He let's out a groan and starts to sit up when said shotgun is aimed at his face.
"Now now. You really think it was gonna be that easy?" Mercer scowled as be glared at Ryker.
"Just in time Ryker." Firecracker said to himself.
"You got nowhere to run." Ryker said. "I suggest you surrender."
"Surrender? I don't think so." said Mercer.
"Heh. Sorry pal, but you got nowhere to run." Ryker told him before preparing his shotgun. "You're done."
Within twenty minutes the cops arrived at the Asylum and prepared Mercer for transport.
"Well that's another one off the list." Haggar says. "Well done."
"Thanks but it was all Ryker." Parkour says as she nudged the gunslinger. "He's the one who caught him." Rebecca who overhead the conversation comes up next to the gunslinger.
"Nice going cowboy." She says to the cowboy.
"Just did what anyone would do." Ryker said nervously, not used to this attention.
"Coward!" Everyone turned and saw Mercer being escorted by the cops shouting at Ryker. "You coward! You didn't have the guts to kill me! I guess the rumors are true! The cowboy is all talk no action!" Ryker let's out a growl and starts to reach for his gun.
"Ryker don't." Speed Queen and Rebecca said in unison surprising the two.
"He's not worth it." Rebecca tells him. "He's just mad because you caught him."
"You're right." Ryker said as he put his hand down from his holster. "Besides he'll riot in the Dungeon for the rest of his life."
"I'm thankful he's behind bars." Firecracker glared. "I would have loved to give him 4th degree burns."
"We'll question him once we get him to the Dungeon." Haggar promises. "We'll see what information we can get out of him."
"Sounds good." Speed Queen says as she listened to Mercer continue to throw insults at Ryker.
"You couldn't get the job done because didn't have the guts!" Mercer shouted. Suddenly, right when they get Mercer to the police car, a gunshot is heard. Everyone then watches in horror as Mercer drops to the ground with a bullet hole in his head.
"What the hell?!" Haggar exclaimed as everyone panicked. Rebecca looked at Ryker and sees that his gun out.
"It's not me. I took my gun out after he was shot!" Ryker protested.
"Hands up Ryker!" One of the officers shouted.
"Whoa hold on dudes! Ryker wouldn't do this!" Amplifier protested as the rest of the team tried to protect him. Rebecca leans closer to his ear.
"Be honest with me. Did you shoot him?" Rebecca whispered.
"No." Ryker replied. Rebecca nods and stands in front of him.
"Let's all calm down!" Rebecca shouted. As the arguing is happening, Speed Queen out of the corner of her eye sees a figure running away from the Asylum. Pushing her way through the cops she works to catch up with the figure. Once she's out of the crowd she speeds towards the area that she saw the figure run. However when she got there he was gone.
"Ryker you are under arrest for the murder of Dr. Mercer." Haggar said as a cop placed handcuffs around Ryker's wrists,
As Haggar read Ryker's wrist, Speed Queen could only think about how the events unfolded. Catching Mercer which led to his murder, the mysterious figure that ran off that she could only assume was the real murderer and Ryker being framed. And as Speed Queen watched Ryker get escorted by officers into a cop car, Speed Queen only had one question on her mind: who killed Mercer?
Smoke: Yep Mercer's dead. Didn't see that coming did ya? Yeah I know we haven't really used him in a while, and we didn't want to repeat his encounters each time. Also totally off topic, but I know there are some people who probably want us to incorporate, The loud house movie, the Loud cousins, Casagrandes movie and No Time to spy for Loud Heroes. I don't think we're going to do that. Mostly because there's not much we can do with those things and such. Sorry to disappoint some of you.
Zachlor16: Yes Mercer is dead. And as you saw Irate made his return but now he's officially dead as well so stop asking for him to come back. Also something to address real quick: The reason Lori didn't use her powers to go after Mercer's killer is because she was in a crowded area and as we have shown in the past, when Lori uses her speed in a crowded area she usually takes them all down. That's why we didn't have her use her powers there. Also, we will reveal Mercer's killer soon as well as who ordered the hit. So stay tuned.
