Hey everyone, I'm back! We finally have another Stormracer/Knock Out chapter! Yaaaaaaaaay! Sad part is, it's a short one. Boooooooooo! I did try to make it as long as possible, but I didn't want to have it drag on. But hey, better than nothing, right? Anyway, I hope you like it.

Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant

Chapter 32: Orion Pax Part 1 (Part 2)

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime

(Autobot Base)

Stormracer was at the computer as she searched for Knock Out's signature. Ratchet had finally fell into recharge while the others were out searching for any sign of the space bridge. The teal femme rubbed her optics, trying to ignore the fact she was tired as she kept looking at the screen. The only person in the room with her was Sierra who was questioning her guardian's plan.

"Remind me again why you're searching for the mad doctor?" Sierra asked her.

"So he can hopefully give me some information on Optimus," the assistant said.

"Okaay, and what makes you think he'll tell you anything?" the girl asked, "do you even have a plan?"

"Yes... Kinda. I'm just going to try talking to him is all."

Sierra frowned at her. "You're not doing this because of what happened in that cave, are you?"

The femme let out a weak chuckle. "Whaaaat?! Hehe, nooo!... Maybe?"

"Storm, he's a decepticon!" the girl exclaimed, "I know you said he saved you from being crushed, but he's still the enemy. He could hurt you. Or worse!"

"Sierra, I have to try," the autobot said, "for Optimus."

"But why won't you let the others know what you're doing?"

"Because Ratchet wouldn't let me. Even if he did, he would have someone go with me. I have to do this alone."

"Okay, but if the bots are looking for Optimus and he decides to leave the ship, I'm pretty sure he would cloak his signature."

Just then the decepticon doctor's signature popped up on the screen.

"Or not," the girl said.

Stormracer traced it, seeing he was somewhere in the states as she got the coordinates for the groundbridge. She then looked at Sierra. "You're in charge of groundbridge duty until I get back."

"This is a terrible idea," the girl told her.

"Probably," the femme said, "I won't be long."

Knowing the femme made up her mind, Sierra sighed. "If you don't call back in half an hour, I will tell the others."

Stormracer nodded. Activating the groundbridge, the autobot transformed and drove off through the portal. She soon found herself driving down a road in the middle of nowhere, the night covering the sky as she turned on her high beams. She kept driving as she kept her optics open, trying to see if she can see the red car anywhere. After a moment of driving, she heard the sound of an engine revving up ahead, making her speed up the hill to see who it was. Sure enough, there was Knock Out way ahead of her. Letting out a vent, she accelerated down the hill and chased after him.

Knock Out was cruising down the road when he noticed a vehicle approaching rather quickly from behind. Looking through his rear view mirror, it wasn't long for him to identify the teal autobot. He grinned in his alt mode as he sped up. Seeing a narrow road leading into a wooded area, he made the turn and disappeared through the trees.

Stormracer continued following him as she made the turn and drove away from the main road. She was already starting to doubt her plan, but she refused to turn back now. It wasn't long until the road took her to a clearing. Seeing no sign of the decepticon, she stopped and transformed. All she could hear was the sound of the wind blowing against the leaves as she looked around. It wasn't until she heard a transformation sound that she turned around to see Knock Out stepping out from behind the trees.

"I was wondering when I would run into you again," Knock Out said as he approached her.

"I'm not here to fight," she said, "I just want to talk."

He evilly chuckled as he stopped in front of her. "Let me guess, you want me to tell you what has become of your beloved leader. And just how is Team Prime doing without the Prime?"

The femme frowned as she folded her arms. "We're doing okay."

"Really?" he asked with a smirk, "because it didn't look like your friends were doing okay back at the military base. In fact, I don't think they even knew what to do."

"They're doing their best," she argued.

"Oh sure," he said, "and they decided to send the medical assistant to get information?"

She glanced away for a second. "It was my choice."

Knock Out looked at her, knowing fully well the autobots wouldn't have sent the femme after him. "They don't know you're here, do they?" he asked.

"...Maybe," she said, not even trying to sound convincing.

That only resulted in him laughing. "So, you're saying that you came on your own to get info from me, and no one knows about it?"

"Not true!" she said, "someone knows."

"Who? Your human pet?"

She frowned at him. "She's not a pet, she's my friend!"

Knock Out gave her a confused look. "She?" he asked, "isn't your human a boy? Red hair, green jacket, bad smell?"

It took her a second to realize he was talking about Vince. "You mean that boy you captured back at the race? No, he isn't my human friend. He was just a random human who doesn't even have a clue about Cybertronians."

"...Oh," he said, "my mistake."

Remembering her goal, Stormracer back tracked. "Anyway, I need to know about Optimus. Is he okay?"

He smirked. "You mean our newest member, Orion Pax? Yes, he's doing just fine. You know, for someone who has no memory of being a Prime. It was rather amusing putting that decepticon insignia on him though."

Stormracer's optics widened at this before she frowned. "You know, just because you put the insignia on him, doesn't make him a decepticon."

"True," he said, "but as far as he's concerned, we're the good guys, and you aren't."

His words angered her, but she pushed it away. "What does Megatron plan to do to him?" she asked, "where is he?"

"Sorry, can't tell you," he said as he looked at his digits, "even if I wanted to, Megatron would rip out my voice box for sharing information with the enemy. Now if you'll excuse me, I would like to finish my late night drive." He turned around and started walking away.

Refusing to give up, Stormracer rushed over and got in front of him, making him stop in place. "Knock Out, please, I'm begging you."

He folded his arms and grinned. "And what makes you think I'll just willfully tell you?"

She let out a vent. "I was hoping maybe you would since, you know, back at the cave when we talked that... maybe?"

The doctor's grin disappeared as he looked at her. "You're saying you thought I would tell you anything about your leader just because we had a nice chat in a cave?" he asked.

"... I was kinda hoping so, yeah," she said sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her helm.

Knock Out paused for a moment before he let out a laugh. "Cute. Though didn't I make it clear that what happened didn't make us pals?"

She vented. "Yes, you made it clear the last couple times we saw each other, but that doesn't mean what happened didn't happen. Too be honest, I don't think you're as bad as you make yourself to be."

"Oh ho, is that so?" he asked as he put his servos on his hips, "even though I nearly decapitated the jolly green giant and tried to offline the 'Doctor of Doom?"

"Y... Doctor of Doom?" she asked questionably, "Ratchet?"

"Hey, he called himself that."

"...Anyway," Stormracer said as she shook her helm, "yes, you hurt me and my friends, but I still remember you saving my life. You could have left me for scrap in that cave, but you didn't. Even right now you haven't tried to attack me."

"I only saved your life because you saved mine first," he said, "I was just evening the score. And the reason why I haven't attacked you is because I recently had my armor buffed. The last thing I need is a scratch after all that work."

She folded her arms. "Yeah, I'm not buying it."

He vented. "I should have expected from someone so... naïve."

She frowned at him. "I am not naïve!"

"You're right," he said snidely, "you're just a dimwitted autobot who thought the enemy would gladly give her intel, just because they had a friendly conversation while trapped in a cave."

"Well can you blame me for trying?!" she asked angrily, "you have our leader and we want him back!"

"Not my problem!" he said with a frown, "so why don't you stop wasting both of our time and go home... autobot."

Stormracer stood her ground as she glared at him. "I'm not leaving until you tell me where Optimus is."

Knock Out folded his arms. "And what will happen if I say no?"

The two stared each other down. After a moment, Stormracer vented as she looked away.

The con smirked. "Thought so," he said, "take my advice and forget about what happened between us."

Stormracer frowned at him. "We will get Optimus back," she said.

Knock Out chuckled. "Good luck with that." He walked past her before stopping. "Though if you want information that badly, I can tell you this," he looked over his shoulder and gave her a smirk. "You're cute when you try to act tough."

Stormracer's face heated up. "Wh, what?! No I'm not! That's not even real information!"

The decepticon medic laughed at her reaction. "Later, Stormy!" he said before transforming and driving off, leaving her in an angry state.

After a moment, she took a big vent and tried to calm herself down. Though she soon had a sad look on her face. Calling for a bridge, she returned to base as Sierra rushed over to her.

"Are you okay?" the girl asked, "what happened?"

"Well, we talked, and he said he wasn't going to tell me where Optimus is, or what Megatrons going to do to him," the femme said.

The human sadly sighed. "At least you're okay."

Releasing a big vent, Stormracer got rid of her sad face. "Well, even though its not much info, he did say Optimus is okay, even though he thinks he's a decepticon, but still, he's okay, which is just as important. All we have to do is get him back, and his memories. We just have to keep looking."

Seeing her friend still being optimistic, Sierra smiled and nodded.

And that was chapter 32! Can't say when the next SR/KO chapter will be, but hopefully it will be longer than this. Despite this chapter being short, I hope you still liked it.

Next chapter is Orion Pax Part 2. Hopefully I will update again soon. Until next time! God bless!
