Hey everyone! I'm back with another SR/KO chapter! I almost gave you all a long one, but I decided to split it in two so you wouldn't have to wait so long. I hope that's alright. Anyway, I hope you like this chapter. PS, sorry for any grammar errors.

Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant

Chapter 51: Movie Night

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime

(Jasper, Nevada)

Parked in her vehicle form, Stormracer waited outside the school for Sierra to come out. She felt bad for being busy at base and was looking forward to spending the rest of the day with her human friend.

Soon as the bell rung, Stormracer watched as students poured out of the school. It wasn't long before she saw Sierra walking out while talking to her friend, Emily. The two girls waved goodbye before Sierra hurried over to the teal car.

"Hey, Sierra!" Stormracer said, "how was school?"

"Same old," the redhead said as she got into the passenger seat, "Still won't be able to cheerlead for another week with my ankle."

"Hey, don't worry. You'll be back to cheerleading soon," Stormracer said as she pulled out and drove away, "Oh, I never got to ask, how did it go with Jack and your parents?"

"At first... awkward. My dad wouldn't stop staring Jack down and then Jack got so nervous he accidentally broke my mom's favorite pitcher."

The cybertronian made a wincing sound. "Ooh, yikes!"

"But... the more they got to know him, the more they opened up. I think it's safe to say they like him."

Stormracer smiled in her alt form. "See? Told you they would."

"Yeah. Now I have to introduce him to my overprotective brother," Sierra said with a groan.

Stormracer chuckled. "Hey, I was able to ask Ratchet for a night off tomorrow. I was thinking you and I could go driving, maybe do some donuts. We could even check out that light show up north."

Sierra wanted to say yes but instead had a sad look on her face. "Oh, I'm sorry, Storm, but I already made plans. I promised Emily Jack and I would go on a double date with her and her new boyfriend. We're going to that new horror movie that's out tomorrow."

Stormracer felt all her plans fly out the window when she heard that. "Oh."

"I'm sorry."

Not wanting the girl to feel bad, the femme waved it off. "Ah, don't worry about it. It's my own fault for asking last minute. We can have a girls night another time."

"Yeah, totally." Sierra said with a small smile. She was quiet for a moment before she asked, "So, anything crazy happen lately?"

Stormracer clammed up for a second as she thought about the kiss. She then nervously laughed. "Cr-crazy?! Hehe, nope nothing crazy! It's been totally normal! No crazy stuff happening at all!"

Sierra looked at her weird. "Really? Because it seems like something happened."

"Whaaat?! Pff, nooo course not! Why would you say that?"

"Because you're a horrible liar."

Stormracer went silent. Knowing she couldn't fool the human, she dropped the act and let out a vent. "Okay, maybe I did something that might have been... very crazy."

"Like what?"

"Just promise me what I'm about to tell you, you won't freak out or tell the others."

"Okaay, I promise."

Stormracer took a detour as she explained to Sierra what had happened. Soon after she got to the last part, Sierra stared at her in disbelief.

"YOU KISSED KNOCK OUT?!"

"You promised you wouldn't freak out!"

Remembering she did, Sierra tried calming down. "You kissed him?"

"I wasn't thinking," the femme confessed, "and I was so embarrassed that I just ran out of there."

"Wait, so what does this mean? You have feelings for him now?"

"What? No! I mean... I don't think so."

Sierra pinched her brow. "Storm, you do know who he is and what he does, right? This is the same con who kidnapped Vince and nearly offlined the bots! Heck, he tried to hurt Jack back on the Nemesis!"

"I know. But... I've seen a good side to him. I mean, he did save my life twice and came to check up on me."

"What are you saying? You want to hang out with him now?"

"I'm saying, maybe I can convince him to switch sides."

Sierra stared at her in disbelief. "Storm, I know you're weird, but now I'm beginning to think you're insane. I highly doubt he'll change sides. How do you know he's not trying to take advantage of you?"

"I just know, okay?"

Sierra wasn't convinced but let out a sigh. "I won't say anything. But if you do plan on trying to reach out to him and something goes wrong, I will tell the others if it means keeping you safe."

Stormracer smiled. "Thanks, Sierra."

Sierra still shook her head at her before looking out the window. My guardians into bad boys. She thought to herself. Great.

(The next day - Autobot Base)

Stormracer sadly sat on the roof as she looked at the scenery down below. She was the only one that had no plans. Bumblebee and Raf were racing, Bulkhead and Miko were somewhere in base, Ratchet was working at the monitor, and Arcee went on patrol with Optimus. She didn't want to go to the light show by herself, so she decided to just stay at base. Soon as she was done her work, she went up top to talk to Cliffjumper. Though she found herself lost in thought as she stared out at the sun set. She couldn't stop thinking about the kiss ever since she told Sierra. She wanted to find Knock Out and apologize but knew she would have a hard time trying to locate him. For one thing, she very rarely was allowed time on the computer. Ratchet was always monitoring the screen and Optimus would use it to decode the Iacon Data Base (Which they were able to obtain thanks to Ratchet and Raf).

She vented as she looked at Cliffjumper's memorial spot. "Well Cliff, it looks like I'm in a rut." She looked down as she rested her chin on her servos. "I did something crazy a while back. Very crazy. And the one I did it to, I don't know how to find him so I can explain myself. I can't tell the bots about it either. They would hate me." She sadly looked back at the rock structure. "I wish you were here, Cliff. I could really use some advice right about now." She looked back down and vented.

Just then her optics widened as she lifted her head up.

"Wait a minute. Sierra said she's going to a horror movie that came out today. Knock Out likes horror movies. Maybe he'll be at the drive-in!" Hopeful at this, she checked the time. Since it was in a different time zone, she guessed the show had just started.

He should be there by now, she thought.

Immediately getting up, she looked at the structure and smiled. "Later, Cliff! I'll let you know how it goes!" She then ran off back inside as the structure stood there with the sun setting behind it.

(Time skip)

It didn't take long for Stormracer to arrive at the spot. The sun had already set, allowing the sky to be dark enough for the movie. Driving up onto the cliff, she transformed and looked around. Sure enough, the movie had already started down below. But there was no sign of the decepticon.

Stormracer's shoulders sadly drooped. "Guess I was wrong."

She looked to the side, seeing Breakdown's memorial structure still there. She smiled as she approached it. "Hey, Breakdown. Guess it's just the two of us." She looked at the flowers she had placed around the structure, seeing they were all dead and shriveled. Removing them, she went to go find fresh ones. It didn't take long to find some as she started picking. I should bring some back to base for Cliffjumper, she thought. Once she had enough flowers, she went back and set them up around the structure. She then stepped back to look at it then smiled.

"There," she said, "that looks better."

"Not bad."

Stormracer was startled by the voice as she let out a shriek. Turning around, she saw Knock Out standing there with a smirk on his face. She vented heavily as she placed her servo over her chest.

"Are you trying to give me a spark attack?!" she asked him.

"Maybe," he said with a grin.

Once she calmed down, she let out a big vent. "I just noticed the flowers were dead and thought I'd replace them."

Knock Out looked at the structure and smiled. "It looks lovely. I'm sure Breakdown would be pleased."

The femme bashfully smiled.

His smirk then returned as he looked at her. "So, what brings you here?" he asked, "You don't seem like the type who watches horror films."

Her smile disappearing, she let out a vent. "I figured you would be here, and I want to apologize for what happened under the bridge. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable and took off."

Knock Out shrugged. "If it makes you feel better, you're not the first femme to kiss and run on me."

Stormracer blushed at that. "Sorry. You probably think I'm silly for doing it."

"It did catch me off guard I will admit." His smirk grew as he leaned towards her. "Though I didn't realize I was your type."

Stormracer blushed even more as she took a step back. "Whoa, there!" she said as she waved her servos, "Let's not jump to conclusions. I only meant it as a friendly gesture."

"Oh, it was very friendly."

Stormracer's cheeks darkened. "Can we just please forget that it even happened?"

Knock Out grinned as he put his servos on his hips. "I don't know. You seem to be very worked up about it. Maybe I won't."

Stormracer groaned loudly at that as she covered her face with her servo.

"Oh, come now. Was kissing me really that bad?" the mech asked.

She snapped her head up. "No! I mean- it wasn't supposed to... I was only..." she let out a frustrated vent, "look, I was upset, you did a really nice thing, and I just wanted to say thank you."

"Hm, you should say thank you more often."

"Cut it out!"

Knock Out chuckled at her reaction. "Alright, I'll drop it. I promise."

The femme let out a vent of relief. "Thank you."

"Careful, you might kiss me again."

Stormracer scowled at him as she blushed again. "You just promised!"

"I lied."

Stormracer let out an annoyed groan as she tried to hide her face.

Knock Out laughed as he walked over to his sitting spot. "Well, since you're here you might as well join me. I promise to drop it this time."

Stormracer frowned, unsure whether to believe him or not. Letting out a vent, she walked over and sat beside him. Both sat there quietly as they watched the movie. Stormracer glanced at Knock Out a few times before speaking. "Thanks again for the talk. It meant a lot."

The decepticon doctor glanced at her. "Well, like I said, you were there when I lost Breakdown, so I thought I would return the favor. We're even."

Stormracer smiled. "Don't give me that. You could have easily moved on with your day. Instead, you came to check on me. You sure we're not friends?"

"Oh, now look who's jumping to conclusions."

"Hey, I'm just saying if we're still enemies, you wouldn't have bothered."

Knock Out glanced away. "Yeah well, don't read too much into it."

They continued watching the movie as it showed a family trying to escape a zombie horde. Stormracer couldn't help but shudder at the gruesome parts while Knock Out watched it with no problem. The little girl on the screen was making a fuss about losing her teddy bear, causing the dad to run back and grab it moments before the zombies pushed through the door.

"Hmph," Knock Out said, "all that fuss over a sack of fluff."

"Haven't you ever had a favorite toy you took everywhere with you?" Stormracer asked.

"Uh, no."

"I did. When I was little, I had a toy bot named Professor Ion."

Knock Out couldn't help but laugh out loud at that. "Professor Ion?! You picked that for a name?"

"Yes. What's so funny about it?"

"Nothing! Nothing. It's... cute," he let out a snort as he kept laughing.

She huffed at him. "Well, laugh all you want, but he meant a lot to me."

"Oh? What made him so special?"

Stormracer was quiet for a moment. "He was special because he was the last thing my sire gave me."

Knock Out's smirk disappeared as he glanced at her. Realizing what she meant, he let out a vent. "I'm sorry."

"It's alright," Stormracer assured him, "It was a really long time ago."

"What happened if you don't mind me asking?"

"Rust plague. He was off world on business when they shut down the spacebridges. We never heard from him again. I think the reason why I always had Professor Ion with me was because it felt like I had a part of my sire with me."

Knock Out turned his head to fully look at her. "Your sire must have been very special to you."

"He was." She let out a chuckle. "I still remember the time he bought me my first chemistry set. I was so excited that I immediately started using it with him. Everything was going great before we realized we misread the instructions. What was supposed to be a simple thing of sparkling slime turned into a goo bomb. Boom! The whole dining room was covered in blue gunk. Carrier had a fit when she got home."

Knock Out laughed at that. "Sounds fun. Minus the messy part." He glanced back at the movie. "I never had a sire. I came from the well and was put in a rundown shelter in Kaon with possibly the worst caretaker in history. I think he hated sparklings more than he hated his job. I very rarely got along with any of the other sparklings. I was the scrawny kid they made fun of. I didn't always have these dashing good looks, you know."

Stormracer chuckled. "I find that hard to believe."

A smug look appeared on Knock Out's face as he smirked at her. "Oh?"

Stormracer immediately blushed once she realized what she just said. "Uh, what I mean is, you're really good at looking presentable and... umm... sorry, you were saying?"

Knock Out grinned before he continued. "I did manage to make a small group of friends." He chuckled. "We got into all sorts of trouble. Free running through the city. Racing down the streets. Swiping the caretaker's engex while he was recharging." His smile disappeared. "But then once we were of age and received our arrangements, I was sent to medical school and lost touch with them. They've probably forgotten all about me."

Stormracer smiled at him. "I'm sure they still remember you. You never forget your childhood friends. I know I don't."

The red mech let out a vent. "Well, it's not like I can ring them up now and ask how they're doing."

Stormracer's smile disappeared as she glanced back at the movie, right at a jump scare. "AAH!" She screamed as she grabbed Knock Out's arm out of reaction. She vented heavily as the zombies on the screen chased the family.

Knock Out looked at her as she held onto his arm tightly, finding her reaction amusing.

Realizing what she just did, Stormracer immediately let go and blushed. "Sorry," she said.

Knock Out only smirked.

They continued watching (Stormracer mostly watching the scary parts through her digits) as it got to a car chase scene. An eighties rock song played to it, making both cybertronians perk up.

"I love this song!" they both said in unison.

Stormracer stopped and looked at the decepticon in surprise. "Huh?"

Knock Out froze once he realized what he just said. Trying to play it cool, he cleared his throat. "I mean, it's not bad. For a human song anyway. The lyrics are well written, and the beat is catchy. Sometimes I listen to Earth music every now and then."

Stormracer kept looking at him before laughing.

He frowned. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing," she said, "it's just... you seem to really like a lot of Earth's stuff. Music. Drive ins. Automobiles."

Knock Out glanced away and shrugged. "Well, it's alright for a mudball I guess. Even if it is infested with tiny flesh bags." He glanced at her. "I just don't understand why you autobots bother trying to protect humankind. They don't even know we exist."

"Because we brought our war onto their world," she said, "and only we can protect them from it. Yes, there are bad humans like MECH, but there are also good humans like the kids. They have families and lives of their own. They shouldn't have to face the same fate we did. Even if we don't get recognition from them, protecting humankind is all that matters. The kids remind us of that every day."

Knock Out studied her. "You really care about those humans of yours, don't you?"

"I would take a bullet for them any day just to keep them safe. And you should be grateful towards those kids. If it wasn't for them, you and the other decepticons would still be held prisoner on your own ship." She then frowned at him. "And don't think I didn't hear that you tried to hurt Jack."

Knock Out tried playing innocent. "Whaaat? I would never! I was only trying to scare the boy. Besides, humans are far too messy."

Stormracer gave him a look, unconvinced he was telling the truth. "Mm hm. Just know if you ever do that again to any of them, I will hunt you down."

Judging from the seriousness in her voice, the decepticon believed her. "I'll take your word for it."

The two remained quiet for the rest of the movie. Though Stormracer spent most of it covering her optics with her servos. Knock Out would catch her doing this and snicker.

Once the movie ended, Knock Out got up and stretched. "Not bad for a human film," he said.

"Y-yeah," Stormracer weakly said as she got up, "you know, once you get past the gore and the horrifying zombies eating the flesh off humans." She shuddered at the images. "I think my spark left my body more than once."

Knock Out laughed at her. "I think the best part was watching you jump at every jump scare."

"Hey! They did way too good of a job with the zombie make-up!" she said in her defense.

The decepticon chuckled. "You didn't have to stick around you know."

Stormracer smiled. "I know. But I wanted to. Even if I am now scarred for life." She paused as she looked at him. "I'm just glad we got to talk again."

Knock Out's smirk disappeared as he looked at her. A small smile then appeared on his face. "It is nice. But remember-"

"It won't happen again, and we're still not friends," Stormracer finished for him, "I know."

Knock Out sadly vented. "Yes, that."

Thinking he wanted her to leave, Stormracer sadly kicked the dirt. "I uh, should probably let you get back to the Nemesis. You take care of yourself."

Knock Out watched as she walked away. He was about to turn around and leave but stopped. He glanced back at the autobot. He didn't want her to leave just yet. Thinking of something, he smirked as he got her attention.

"You know..." he said.

Stormracer stopped and turned to look at him.

"The nights still young. There's an old racetrack ten miles from here. Perhaps you might be interested in a friendly race?"

Stormracer's optics widened in surprise. "Really?!" she happily asked. Realizing how she sounded, she dialed it down. "I mean, you sure you want to hang out with an autobot?"

"I've been curious as to which of us is the fastest. And since you and your team frown upon street racing, I believe a track would be much better suited. And the best part; no humans. What do you say?"

Stormracer rubbed the back of her head. "I don't know. I'm not really much of a racer. The last time I ever raced was when I was a youngling."

"I get it," the con said as he inspected his digits, "I would be scared too if I thought I didn't stand a chance." He said the last part with a smirk.

Stormracer gave him a look as she folded her arms. "Who said I was scared?"

Knock Out shrugged. "Just an observation."

She looked him up and down. "You really think you're the fastest, huh?"

The decepticon gave her a grin. "Only one way to find out."

Thinking it over, Stormracer smirked. "You're on."

And that was chapter 51! I hope you liked it. Next chapter will be a continuation of this where the two race and bond more. What could go wrong? Anyway, thanks for reading and hopefully I will update the next chapter soon. Until next time! God bless!
