"Hey guys," Anxiety called to the emotions as Riley falls asleep. "You may want to look at this."
"What is it?" Joy asked as everyone approaches Anxiety, who was in the room. In the middle of the room, there was a bunch of cards that haven't been answered. There were stacks and stacks of them.
"Wow, that's a lot..." Sadness said.
"We need this round to be a speed round!" Anxiety said. "We have too many of these that need to be answered!"
"Let's get to it!" Joy said and picked out the first card. "Anxiety, have you ever made predictions for Riley's chances of getting a boyfriend?"
"I mean, there's a good chance but we could totally screw it all up," Anxiety said. "Like what if we embarrass ourselves or we're not pretty enough-"
"We will have someone that doesn't care about either of those things," Joy reassured. "We just need to find that person."
"Sounds great to me," Anxiety sighed with relief. "Fear, what's your scariest nightmare?"
"I'm not sure, I lost count," Fear thought for a moment. "Oh! I was being chased by Jangles the Clown one time! And he was giant! I can't imagine ever experiencing that!"
Joy and Sadness looked at each other and sighed, never wanting to experience that again.
"Anger, are there moments where you're never angry?" Fear asked.
"Well, when Riley's having fun or she wins a hockey game, there's no reason to be angry," Anger explained. "It's not like I'm constantly yelling and putting fire over my head!" He picked the next card. "Ennui, what do you think of Garfield?"
"You mean that stupid orange cat?" Ennui scoffed. "Well, I think he needs to stop overeating himself and making a bad example for kids."
"Seriously though," Disgust added. "How can someone stay so skinny while eating so much junk?"
"Wish we could do that," Envy sighed.
"Joy, would you rather watch SpongeBob or Mickey Mouse?" Ennui asked.
"Ooh, I love both!" Joy said excitedly. "But I feel like SpongeBob isn't as good as it used to be. So I'll choose Mickey Mouse!" Joy started singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song.
"Oh, please don't start with that!" Anger shouted.
"Sorry! It's so catchy!" Joy giggled. "Envy, who's your favorite YouTuber?"
"Mr. Beast!" Envy beamed. "I want all the money that he has to buy all of this stuff!"
Ennui scoffed. "Rich people..."
"Sadness, what's your proudest moment?" Envy asked.
"When I stopped Riley from running away," Sadness said, smiling slightly. "It's probably the only moment I don't have sad thoughts about."
"You're a hero, Sadness!" Joy cheered.
Sadness looked away bashfully. "You too, Joy..." she said. She looked at the next card, then rummaged through the next box that arrived. She took some clothes out that turned out to be a bigger version of Envy's clothes.
"Wait a minute! Those are mine!" Envy gasped. "But why are they so big?"
"Because it's for Disgust," Sadness answered.
"Huh?! Me?!" Disgust questioned.
"Yeah," Sadness said. "A fan is daring you to dress as Envy for a day."
Disgust looked at the outfit that was given to her and made a disgusted face. "So I have to wear this for all of tomorrow?!"
"I guess so..." Sadness said.
"Yay! We're gonna be matching!" Envy said.
"I have to match with someone?!" Disgust cried. "No! No way! I'm imagining myself already and I look terrible!"
"Just put the outfit on, will you?!" Anger shouted.
"We promise we won't make fun of you!" Joy said.
Disgust loudly groaned and left to change.
"I'll ask the next question," Joy picked the next card. "Embarrassment, what's your favorite TV show?"
Embarrassment took a second to think. "Uh...SpongeBob?" he said, worried about what the others will think.
"Cool! SpongeBob is always a classic!" Joy said. She handed the pink emotion the next card.
Everyone suddenly heard footsteps and there was Disgust, in Envy's full outfit. Anger smirked loudly.
"Lookin' good, Dis!" Joy complimented.
"Shut up," Disgust said. "No one do anything, just keep playing the game."
"Everyone," Embarrassment read. "Favorite memory of yours? Could be your own or Riley's."
"I have so many favorites!" Joy said. "Any happy memory of Riley's is my favorite!"
"I liked when I got to be on a rain cloud," Sadness said.
"Pfft, I didn't," Joy muttered.
"I liked when I got to first meet you guys!" Anxiety said. "I was so nervous at first but I felt I did pretty good!"
"I loved when Riley got all dressed up for her 12th birthday," Disgust said, imagining that moment. Riley was wearing a glamorous sparkly red dress with heels and jewelry. "That's Riley's best outfit yet and I'm proud of myself for it."
"I loved when Riley was rockin' the red hair streak!" Envy said. "It was so cool to match with Val!"
"She does look good in red, but it wasn't who she is," Anger shrugged. "Anytime I'm in control when Riley's playing hockey, I feel pretty good."
"I liked wearing our mouth guard!" Fear said. "Or wearing a seat belt! Or wearing a helmet-" Fear was suddenly punched into the wall by Anger.
"Great answers!" Joy said. "Anxiety, what would you do if Sadness turned a memory blue?"
"It depends on the memory," Anxiety said. "If it was something that's not supposed to be sad, I'd be scared out of my mind!"
"But it's not gonna happen again..." Sadness promised.
"Yeah, that was a past thing that we lived and learned!" Joy said.
"Right...uh..." Anxiety rummaged through the cards. "Sadness, would you rather read Bailey's Story or The Notebook?"
"Oh, both are so sad..." Sadness cried. "But I would go with The Notebook..."
"Aww, I love The Notebook!" Joy said in awe.
"Ennui, what's your ideal dream?" Sadness asked.
"Just relaxing in a river, flowing down the water, scrolling through my phone, not worrying about annoying co-workers," Ennui said.
"Hey! What do you mean, annoying?!" Anger growled.
"Enough, Anger!" Joy rolled her eyes.
"Joy, what's your favorite music to listen to in your spare time?" Ennui asked.
"Ooh, good question!" Joy said excitedly. "Of course, Get Up and Glow is always the vibe! But I would say a song that makes me happy and hyped is Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves!" Joy got the next card. She suddenly gasped. "FEAR!!!"
"HUH?! WHAT?! WHAT?! WHAT?!" Fear yelped looking around the room.
"THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR SHOULDER!!"
"WHAT?!!! WHERE?! WHERE?! WHERE IS IT?! I DON'T SEE IT!!!"
All of sudden, Joy bursted with laughter. "Just kidding!"
"WHAT??!!" Fear shouted. "Are you kidding me, Joy??!!"
"Hey! Don't blame me!" Joy put her hands up. "This fan named Train45 wanted to prank you!"
Fear groaned. "Why do people feel enjoyment when scaring others?"
"That was pretty funny," Anger smirked.
"Yeah, you got me for a moment," Anxiety added.
Fear sighed. He read the next card, looked puzzled, and then looked through the box.
"What is it, Fear?" Sadness asked.
The purple emotion then pulled out a bag of gummy worms. "Disgust, you have to eat a gummy worm."
"Seriously?" Disgust sighed. "Do I really have to do another dare? I did one already! But I guess I'll have one. It's not like gummy worms are gross."
Anger smirked. "But imagine if those were real wor--"
"DON'T. YOU. DARE." Disgust threatened as she quickly ate the gummy worm. "Since I got two dares, I might as well get a question also."
"That sounds fair," Joy said, looking for a question for Disgust. "There's one! Disgust, if any of the other emotions ever annoy you to make you that upset, do you ever get mental breakdowns due to the stress?"
"Hm, interesting question," Disgust pondered for a moment. "I do get stressed and annoyed sometimes, but I haven't had any breakdowns because of it. Definitely not Anxiety's level of breakdown." Disgust smirked. "Brickhead, would you rather fight the Joker or hug me?"
"Fight the Joker for sure!" Anger said. "I'm ready to take that smile off his ugly face!"
"Good riddance," Disgust said, eating another gummy worm.
"Envy, do you always get jealous of others?" Anger asked.
"Not always," Envy said. "And I wouldn't say jealousy, I would say aspiration."
"Sounds like jealousy to me," Ennui commented.
"Hmph," Envy pouted. "This is for us, the new emotions! What's your favorite part of Headquarters?"
"My chair for sure," Anxiety said.
"The couch is all mine," Ennui added.
"I like all of it!" Envy said. "The place is so cool!"
"Our room," Embarrassment said.
"Ok guys, let's do one more question, then we need to get some rest," Joy said.
"Sounds good to me," Ennui said.
"To everyone, what's your favorite animal?" Joy read. "Mine is a cat!"
"I like dogs..." Sadness said. "People like to have them die in movies..."
"An animal I would probably touch is a bunny," Disgust said.
"I think cheetahs are pretty cool to look at," Fear said. "Not to touch, but to see! They run fast like me!"
"I like dolphins, they're very smart!" Anxiety said.
"I gotta go with the Lion!" Anger said.
"I love horses!" Envy said. "They look so pretty!"
"A turtle," Ennui said. "They're slow, especially on the road."
"A parrot," Embarrassment said. "They say embarrassing things."
"Awesome picks!" Joy said. "Time to wrap up. We need some shuteye!"
"Do I have to sleep in this?" Disgust asked, still in her Envy outfit.
Joy thought for a moment. "No, you can wear your pajamas, but you have to put it back on and wear it all day tomorrow."
Disgust groaned. "This is gonna suck..."
"You look super good in my outfit, by the way!" Envy followed the green emotion. "We totally look like best friends!"
"Shut it," Disgust sighed.
Anger smirked at the green emotion. "This was actually my favorite round we had so far."
