Well time to raid Slick Jim's warehouse, but is it too late?

Sam and Max Freelance Police Chapter 8
The Dockyard Raid
It was a long drive but by the time it was night Sam, Max and Gwen made it to the San Pedro docks where the police were already there securing the scene.
Gwen gets out of the van and approaches Captain Mechamorph and said "Here, Captain." Sam and Max get out with her
"I should probably suspend you for going behind my back, Gwen." Mechamorph said and then adds with a smirking look "And I hope we don't get attacked by the Adventure Time Candy Kingdom residents this time." He and the SWAT officers with him laugh at that. Then serious he ordered "Ready the battering Tauros!"
And that wasn't some fancy nickname for battering rams it was legit two Tauros in police vests breaking open the door to the warehouse to let the police inside
"Let's go, move, move!" An officer who was the Tauros trainer said as they cops move in.
The police with guns drawn and flash lights search the darkened warehouse for any sign of the missing fictions or evidence of illegal bootlegging operation and the officers check rooms and call out "Clear!" when they find it secure
"Where do you think he is?" Max asked Sam concerned as they search with the police
"I have no idea, little buddy" Sam said concerned as well
Gwen opens a door to another part of the warehouse and her eyes widen in shock. As in the room looked to be scientist equipment as well as several pictures of notable fictions all who were missing but features on their bodies showcase alterations with their features.
"Sir! I think I found something" Gwen called out to alert her captain. Mechamorph, Sam and Max enter the room and she warned "Careful. Don't touch anything."
The four of them move in and search the room. Gwen looks at the pictures on the wall and said "Spongebob? Lewa? They're all here." They were all here the entire time and no one ever noticed.
Mechamorph looks at a picture of Pikachu but he had a buff upper body but little legs "Whoa. Pikachu's little body can't take muscles like that." He said surprised
"We found them." Gwen said sadly
Sam and Max meanwhile enter a room and found a large machine that took up the whole room. Max looking at it said "This looks like the machine I had my CG work done only…that one didn't take up the whole room." He then looks at the various surgical tools attached to the machine "Also this one is way more violent looking."
Gwen found a coffee cup and holds her hand over it and feels the heat coming off of it "It's still warm." She notes on that "Must have just missed him."
Sam looking around the cosmetic device room said "Yeah, this place gives me the heebie-jeebies"
"I'm going to see if I can't find a light switch." Max said and looks around the room. He then sees what looks to be one on a panel
"Wait. No, no, no, no, don't, don't, don't!" Sam said trying to stop him but too late Max flips the switch
The power comes on and indeed it turns on the lights and that seems to be the only thing it did.
"See, nothing to worry about!" Max said proudly
"Heh, I guess you are right" Sam said smiling relieved nothing bad happened and leans down but it accidentally hits a key on a keyboard and the machines begin to whirl to life and a buzzer sounds "Um, that's not a good sound."
The monitors in the room said on the screen 'System Startup'. Max seeing this asked concerned "Dude, what did you do?"
"I didn't mean to do it, I just…I put my hand down, my finger…" Sam panics and they see the door they came in through on the other side begin to close. "Why was it so accessible there?"
"Sam!" Gwen called out running to ge to the door but it closes "Max!"
Sam and Max attempt to get to the exit it but the machine seals them in a glass tube trapping them in it. Gwen goes to the computer in the room she's in and types on it to try and override the machine to stop
"Help! Get us out of here!" Sam called out banging on the glass. But then the conveyor belt of the machine begins moving them into the machine "What's happening?"
"The machine is going to try and surgically re-edit you, so, do you best to avoid that." Gwen explained on the PA as her and Captain Mechamorph can do nothing but watch
"Goodbye Gwen! Always remember me!" Max called out
"If we don't make it out of here alive, let Abby live with you, and sleep on your bed, and eat your food, and don't be afraid to gently rub her horn!" Sam called out
The machine closes sealing them in, then a optical like camera device comes out the ceiling and fires a grid like red light on the two
Max shirks a bit and asks scared "Are we about to be waffle fried right now?"
"No, I think it's…." Sam said thinking
"…scanning them." Gwen finished off explaining it to Mechamorph as they see the progress of this on there end "It's also rendering what they'll look like in different animation styles" Inseed we see what Sam and Max look like in Simpsons style, Rick and Morty, Anime, DC and Marvel even Ed, Edd and Eddy and so on.
Back in the machine the machine finishes scanning them
"Okay." Max chuckles a bit "That was nothing. You know, I think this might be easier than…." Just then Max was grabs by the waist by a claw like arm
"Max!" Sam called out
"Hey, hey!" Max said struggling as the arm holds him as the surgical tools come out
"Hold on!" Sam said and jumped up and grabs Max's legs and begins pulling
"Pull harder!" Max called out
"Why…won't….you…stretch?" Sam said as he keeps pulling.
"This body was meant to be looked at, not touched." Max said worried as the tools got closer, looks like we see a downside to CG look. Sam gets up and steps on Max's head "What are you doing?"
Sam climbs up the arm and gets to an exposed wire and bites into it, cutting it and gets a bit shocked but it disables the arm letting Max go and both drop down
"Thank you" Max said
"Let's go!" Sam said
They then move onto the next room and see it is a room full of lasers
"Whoa!" Max said seeing it "It's like Episode 117"
"Mission Samical!" Sam said proudly "You're right."
"Hang on. You remember?" Max asked surprised as they step over a laser
"I guess a few things are coming back to me" Sam said with a shrug
"Then let's do it." Max states nodding "How different could this be?"
"Very different! It can be so different." Sam points out
"Ready!" Max said ready to move
"Jump! Duck!" Sam instructs as they begin to move through the corridor avoiding the lasers "Pancake!" He pushes Max to have him avoid lasers but flattens himself with his toon body "Launch me!"
Sam is thrown into the air and moves up to the ceiling and swings over across it
"Heads-up!" Max called out climbing up the side
"Got you!" Sam said grabbing hin and both swing across the room
"Slide!" Max called out as they slide under the last of the lasers and they shut off and Max pants
"You, okay?" Sam asked Max smiling as they recover "Are you in one piece?"
"Yeah I think so." Max said standing but then notices something on Sam "But…You're not."
"Huh?" Sam said confused then notice something flop into his vision it was a black rabbit ear similar to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and he screams, and Max also screams
Outside the machine Gwen and Mechamorph can hear the screaming but no idea what is happening
"I'm…sure they're fine" Gwen said with a forced calm smile but she was worried as she chuckles nervous
"You got an Oswald ear!" Max told him panicked
"Get it off! Get it off!" Sam said panicking.
Max tries to pull it off but lasers are shot at them so they had to get out of here
"The door!" Sam said seeing the last door of the machine "Let's get out of here!"
They both run and jump out the door and bounce and land at the end. The monitors read 'Procedure complete!' and the machine powers down
Sam and Max groan getting up and recovering however they look to see something ahead of them and are shocked and the dog said "What the…"
And they had a reason to be shocked as in front of them, in several labelled bags were items that were signature items of various fictions namely the ones who went missing like Timmy Turner's pink hat, Robot Jone's lightbulb, Jenny Wakeman's flight wings, Buster, Babs and Plucky's legs and Goku's hair and so much more.
"You guys okay?" Gwen asked running in with the doors unlocked, she then sees there shocked looks and turns to see the collection of fiction parts "Look at all these parts." She said shocked
"Oh no." Sam said worried as he sees a part he didn't want to see. "Garfield's tail."
Max gasps and said disheartened "No!"
"He's been bootlegged!" Sam said in shock and despair
A while later the police begin to tape the area as a crime scene and this will be a big development in the Valley Gang and missing fictions case. But it wasn't all good Sam and Max were saddened they were too late to save their friend
Mechamoph walks up and said "Hey, Gwen." He gives a smile look and said "Nice work today. Honestly, I didn't really think you had it in you."
"Thank you sir." Gwen said surprised in that, probably the nicest thing the detective captain said to her in a long time
Just then reporters on the scene seeing Sam and Max approach them for questioning.
"Kent Brockman, Channel 6 News. With this factory shut down, how does it feel to have made the city safer for fictions?" Kent Brockman asked them both
"All right, come on." Mechamorph said stepping up, he knew the two weren't feeling like answering questions "Leave them alone. No questions."
"Come on, guys, let's get out of here." Gwen said and leads them to a vehicle.
"Hey Sam, why the Oswald ear!" A reporter asked
"Captain Mechamorph! Captain Mechamorph!" A Claymation reporter said "Claymation news. Why is there a wad of alein slime on your back?"
"Oh, come on! Gross!" Mechamorph said annoyed as he tries to get it off. "Now it is going to be assimilated and be a part of me forever."
However, little did our heroes know Slick Jim and the Valley Gang were not too far away, in fact they were watching them from a nearby rooftop having been tipped off about the raid
"Well, this is a mess" Slick Jim said annoyed looking through some binoculars
"We should probably skip town and lay low for a bit, right, boss?" Amigard suggested
"We're not going anywhere without the dog and rabbit." Slick Jim told him "I still want my reboot."
"Should we try and follow them?" Boomtower asked
"Nah, let them go." Slick Jim said smirking "Goddard, has a special way to tracking people for me" He nods to Goddard
Goddard growls in acknowledgement and opens his HD TV screen which showcases none other then Max's Tiktok page and then the Robotic Dog Animatronic hybrid selects the follow button. Now whenever Max makes a location update they'll know
Well that sucks and now the villains will be able to follow Sam and Max wherever they go.
