"I love you Kaito… I love you and Hina very much… Stay safe and take care of your little sister for me…" A feminine voice whispered to Kaito's ear.
Kaito opened his eyes and saw nothing but the sight of Haru sleeping beside him while her head was resting on his shoulder, he looked at the window of the car they were in and saw the ruins of many fallen structures during the war.
As he looked at those ruins his eyes could only see the sight of inferno, it was these same very ruins that he is seeing right now are the same buildings he saw enveloped in the spreading plague of flames; those very flames that he still feel the heat of is what made dedicate himself to the Holy Grail War.
"That voice… Is that mom?"
The voice who whispered was Kaito's late mother. In Kaito's eyes his mother didn't deserve to die in that war, if anything it was him who should've died… For Kaito, someone as kind and caring as his mother should've stayed alive, instead of a useless nobody like him who has no redeeming qualities except for his stupid luck that made him a Master in the Holy Grail War.
His mother's death made him feel constant guilt and what's worse is their father dying after being drafted from war. At that time he had pure disdain for the Gods and to fate itself, he hated them and blamed them for his parents death, but he knew that contemplating on his parents death would only hurt him more…
Even if it hurts letting their deaths go, he understood that he only had one choice but to stop the war just so anyone wouldn't feel what he suffered from.
"Madam, we're already here."
Haru woke up as soon as the driver spoke, she looked at Kaito who was still looking outside the window. "Stop daydreaming Kaito, we're already here."
Kaito shook up when Haru spoke, he looked at the window again and saw that his vision was back to normal. Outside was a giant mansion with a massive garden in the entrance, the bushes that were around the mansion were shaped into figures of Haru.
"To this day, I still can't process the thought process on why you thought those were good ideas…" Kaito could only look at the bushes with a bizarre gaze as they walked inside the mansion.
Upon entering the mansion Haru guided Kaito immediately to the basement, Kaito was confused why they were going to the basement instead of her father's office, but he decided not to ask and just see what's about to happen.
When they arrived at the basement they were greeted by Kenjie Watanabe. He is the father of Haru and the current Prime Minister of Japan, also he is the one who's teaching Kaito on how to be a great leader and Master.
"It's nice to see you again Kaito, looks like you're taking my advice well." He greeted Kaito with a big smile on his face.
Kaito smiled back at Kenjie. "Well, I only work out 3 times a week but the results are going smoothly."
"That's nice to hear." Kenjie laughed. "Anyway, the reason why I called for you here Kaito is so that you can prepare for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Wait, do you mean the Holy Grail War will start tomorrow?"
"Yes." Kenjie took out his phone from his pockets, he clicked a button on his phone and suddenly a bright light shone on the basement; blinding Kaito and Haru that they had to cover their eyes from the light.
When the bright light disappeared the two looked in front of them and saw seven circular illustrations on the ground. Looking at it, Kaito was wondering what those 7 circles could be, whereas Haru looked at the circles with awe.
"Are those summoning circles on the ground?" Haru asked; still in awe of the summoning circles in front of her. "Father, don't tell me that the Holy Grail War starts now?"
"Today is just the preparation and tomorrow is the start of the Holy Grail War, it will be a lengthy day today, so for now get some rest Kaito to prepare for midnight's preparation."
Kaito was still in silence at what Kemjie said, so he went to his bedroom in the mansion and just sat on his bed as he stared at the command spell on his hand. "Finally… After waiting for a long time, the Holy Grail War starts tomorrow…"

It was exactly midnight, everyone in their houses were already asleep… Even the noise of the insects and animals that are naturally nocturnal are not making any noise, just at this exact time and day was the true meaning of peace.
No noise… No disturbances… And most importantly, there was no sign of war…
This day is what people from both the past and present have wanted to achieve, but despite their constant labor to achieve that peace they never achieved it. That dream of theirs will only remain as a dream, no matter what they do or how much effort they put into it, this day of peace can never be achieved by man.
Yes… Even if this time 6 years has felt the true essence of peace for a moment, the people sleeping soundly would always remember this day and time as the opposite of peace…
Suddenly, whilst they were sleeping it happened… All of their devices turned red and let out a loud sound that woke them up from their deep slumber.
It was a sound that everybody was unfamiliar with, the sound that their phone let out a sound that screeched their ears. Everyone woke up confused, after all it was their first time hearing that type of sound coming out of their devices.
At first everyone thought that their devices were broken, but their vision soon changed quickly as soon they picked it up and looked at the important notice that was sent in their devices..
Written in that notice was: WARNING! COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE WORLD HAS STARTED THEIR CONQUEST, IT MUST BE CONFUSING FOR MANY ABOUT WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN, I KENJIE WATANABE ASSURE ALL OF YOU THAT I WILL DO MY UTMOST BEST TO KEEP YOU ALL SELF FROM HARM. FOR NOW, I ADVISE EVERYONE TO LIMIT THEMSELVES FROM GOING OUTSIDE AND TO PREPARE FOR EVACUATION IN CASE OF THE SITUATION GETS SEVERE. THAT'S ALL FROM YOUR PRIME MINISTER: KENJIE WATANABE, I HOPE FOR EVERYONE IN JAPAN TO BE SAFE.
Looking at the message, everyone was frozen from shock. It was a sudden declaration by the Prime Minister. They were all sleeping in peace and thinking about what they would do the next day, and suddenly they already knew what they're going to do.
The students having done most of their preparation for their next day of school were dejected that they wouldn't learn anything; workers, some of whom are already awake just so they wouldn't be late for their work, were all distraught that they might not be able to get their next paycheck soon.
Nevertheless… Everyone understood that they needed to prepare immediately just in case something terrible occurred…
And in the end… They were lucky that they listened to the message of Kenjie Watanabe.
Just an hour after Kenjie sent the message to the citizens of Japan it happened… Without warning nor declaration North America sent several planes to Okinawa and started bombing the prefecture without end.
The citizens living in Okinawa couldn't even react at what happened, with just a blink on their eyes they immediately saw the light taking them to the after life. While those who survived from the bombing could only sit still as they see the home they cherished and lived in for a long time turn into ruins.
News spread quickly after the bombing stopped, Japan immediately sent in officials to rescue any survivors and recover some of the bodies. Having heard from other countries in Asia of what happened to Okinawa, they immediately sent aid to Japan and provided supplies to help the victims of the bombing.
Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution disavowed Japan to have their own army after WW2, but with what happened to Okinawa Japan destroyed that agreement and with the backing of other Asian countries, Japan has made their own army ready for war.
Just 3 days after the bombing the leaders of every Asian country held a meeting at the Capital of India: New Delhi.
There the leaders of each Asian nation agreed to finally settle whatever differences they have with one another, though there were problems that occurred during the meeting. It's only natural that there are countries who want to do things their own way.
One of those countries is Russia, despite the majority of their land is located in Asia they chose to leave Asia and joined Europe instead. Another country is North Korea, with their ideology being different than the rest of any other countries, the Asian leaders had no choice but to attack North Korea and they formed the new official country of United Korea or just Korea.
Also due to problems with the attacks of other continents and the leaders not wanting to reveal the other purpose of the meeting the world leaders decided to stop having elections in their countries. Hence the reason why Kenjie Watanabe is still the Prime Minister of Japan for 6 years and when an incident occurs to the world leader only their trusted adviser who knows about the secret of the meeting are allowed to take their seats.
What is that secret perhaps?
During the meeting of the Asian leaders that's when "He" appeared in front of them. He was a suspicious man that stinks of the devil's breath, despite the friendly smile he showed at the meeting the leaders could see that it was all just a mask.
The man called himself as "Ruler" and he told the leaders about the upcoming Holy Grail War, though they haven't experienced the Holy Grail War the leaders already know about what the war is about. After all, one of the reasons the war started is because other continents wanted to have the Holy Grail in their possession due to the magus fighting in the Holy Grail War before making a mistake and revealing to the entire world that magecraft exist.
Though that information is only known by the few who've witnessed the fights of magus.
Ruler told the leaders that another Holy Grail War will start and it is the greatest and most dangerous Holy Grail War in history. He told them to prepare and the date of the war is still unknown, but he mentioned that it will start once the Master of each continent has been properly trained and he will be the judge to see if the Master that the Holy Grail chose is worth it to join the war.
After that he left, leaving only a single pink flower that is unknown to the normal world.
Now 6 years later, Ruler have finally seen that the Masters of each continent are ready.
He is sitting on his tower and looking at the hologram of the Masters of each continent. He let out a smile full of mischief as he observed the Masters. "Now… Let the Continental Grail War begin!"
