Chapter no.3:
REVELETIONS:
Lily's perspective:
The train slowed down and finally stopped moving. They all got of the train. Harry, Ron and Hermione went to Hagrid. And she started to find an empty carriage. There was only one carriage left and to her disgust, Zean Lestrange and his cronies were sitting in that carriage. There was also a girl in it, Heidi. She was on the Hufflepuff's Quidditch team.
"Ohhh... look whose their, Ms. Know-it-all." he said.
The other boys sniggered.
"Ahhhh ... " she groaned.
"Feeling bad, Mudblood." he said.
"I am not in the mood of that , Lestrange and how many times i have told you not to use such a word for me. My parents are Wizards." she said tiredly.
"Ohhh... look, Mudblood donnot wants to be called mudblood." he said in a mimicking tone. His cronies laughed.
'Muffliato', she casted a spell. She wanted to ignore him as much as she can this opened her book and started reading it. Zean was speaking something but she couldn't hear him, due to the spell.
When they reached Hogwarts, she was the first to get off the carriage."Lily," Heidi called from behind.
"Yes," she said.
"Nice spell, it was," she told her, " Thank God, you came, I was wondering what would happened with me, If I were alone."
"Don't worry, he has that grudge only for me or the Griffindors. He behaves normally with the others." she told her.
"Hmm..." she said as they reached inside the Great hall. Heidi said goodbye and went to sit with her friends on the Hufflepuff table and Lily went to the Griffindor's.
The first years entered the Great Hall following Professor McGonagall with the sorting hat. She remembered her sorting . The sorting Hat first considered to put her in Slytherin, and then it put her into Griffindor."
The sorting hat sang a song as it did every year.
And then the sorting begun. Professor McGonagall called names and students sat on the stool to get sorted.
'Granger, Hermoine.' Professor called after a few minutes . Hermoine sat on the stool confidentaly, despite the fact that the house in which she was going to be sorted really mattered.
The sorting hat took a bit time and then spoke, "GRIFFINDOR."
Hermoine smiled and joined the Griffindors at the Griffindor table.
"Congratulations, Hermoine." she congratulated her.
After three students it was Harry's turn. Scilence fell in the great hall as Professor McGonagall called his name. Everyone was now staring at him. The sorting hat was put on his head by Professor McGonagall. After a few minutes, the sorting hat shouted, "GRIFFINDOR"
Harry came and joined them all on the table. The Weaselys started to congratulate him.
"Congratulations, Harry." she said.
"Thanks," he said. And started to talk to Hermoine in hushed voices.
'They are obviously up to something. STRANGE,' she thought ' They looked as though they were befriends with each other since forever.
Ron was also sorted into Griffindor. And it was no surprise. Every Weasley was sorted into Griffindor.
The food magically appeared on the tables and everyone started to eat. After the last bits of foods disappeared from the plates. Dumbledore adressed them and gave them some warnings to not to go in the Forbidden Forest and nor to the third floor, if they didn't want themselves dead.
She started to think what was at the third floor, but if Dumbledore advised them not to go, then it must be for their safety. She was about to leave when a girl came to her and gave her a letter, and told her that Mcgonagall said to give the letter to her. She opened the letter to find narrow letters scribbled on the note.
Headmaster wants to see you. Tommorow 5 P.M at his office.
Minevra Mcgonagall
P.S Chocolate frogs is the password.
'Why did he wanted to see her', she thought ,'Had she done something foolish.' She sighed. Whatever it was, she will see tomorrow.
She went to the common room. There was no one in the common room except, Harry, Ron and Hermoine.
"What are you guys up to?" she asked them. They started to say something in hushed voices, " don't make lame excuses, you are surely up to something. You know, I can read minds really easily." she lied,.. or half lied. She could read minds but not easily, had to focus a lot to do so.
They started to look at each other, startled.
"Its just..." Hermoine hesitated," we were talking about that Professor... Snape." she told her, "Harry's scar hurt when he looked at him."
"Ohhh come on, If you want to lie then make a good lie. If you don't want to tell, then don't. But please don't make such lame excuses and lies, specially about Snape." she said to them, now a bit angry. He was a really good teacher, but she didn't get what was the problem every student had with him.
" I have to go, have a big day ahead, Good night." she said.
She threw the letter of McGonagall in dustbin and left.
She went to her dormitory and just drew the curtains of her four poster bed without changing and slept.
The next day went normally, she had Transfugation and then Ancient runes and then at the last was Charms. But she was extremely tired and still had one more thing to do , To meet Dumbledore. There were still two hours left . So she decided to go to the library. She had to complete her Transfugation essay. And had to start studying from the start if she wanted to get top grades in exams. In the library, she saw Harry, Ron and Hermoine, gathered around a book on table.
"Ohh...Hi! Lily." They said in unison, trying to hide the book behind thier backs.
"Hello!' she said as she moved towards the other shelf to find a book, "you don't have to hide the book. I will not see it." she said gesturing towards the book lying at the table.
"We are not hiding anything." Hermoine said.
"Ok" she said, fully aware that they were telling a lie.
She took a book from the shelf and went to sit at the table at corner. She was reading the book when she fell asleep, her head on her books.
"Lily... Lily" someone was shaking her.
"What?" she said , half conscious of the surroundings. Harry was standing in front of her. Hermoine and Ron on his other side. "Oh sorry," she said, "I fell asleep."
"We were going back and saw you here so we thought we should wake you up." Harry told her.
"Dumbledore." she spluttered out, as she remembered that she had to meet him. " Oh no, what's the time? she asked as she started to pack her things.
"5:32" Hermoine said, looking a bit puzzled.
" He would be waiting for me. AHHH..." she had accidentally dropped ink on her books.
"Don't worry, you go. We'll clean it up." Harry said.
"Ohhhh... You are such a life saver." she said thankfully. And left the Library. She went straight to Dumbledore's office.
"Chocolate Frogs" she said, and the Gargoyles moved aside. She entered in it and the floor started to move up, like lifts. It was a circular room, and Dumbledore was sitting on a large throne like chair.
"Welcome. Ms. Lily," he said, "I thought you weren't going to come."
"I just fell asleep." she apologized.
"No worries." he said and looked towards the fireplace. "It seems like that your father is late."
"My father?" she asked, "why is he coming?"
"Haven't he told you?" he asked.
"What are you talking about?" she asked , now a bit puzzled.
"You have to wait a bit more. I will tell you everything once your father arrives." Dumbledore said.
After a few minutes, the fireplace turned green and her father came out of it.
"What is going on?" she asked.
"Sorry for the delay , Albus." his father said.
"Take a seat please, " Dumbledore said.
"Now, Ms. Lily what we are going to tell you. I hope you can cope with it bravely." Dumbledore adressed her his expression a bit stern now.
"What the hell is going to happen?" she thought, now feeling really angry due to thier seceretive manner.
"Are you sure, Albus?" Her Father asked, now looking a bit pale.
"Yes this is the right time, James." he said, "when else if not now?" he asked. Her father's face twitched.
"Times are getting harder." Dumbledore said ," And we ought to get prepared for those." He lifted his wand and casted a spell at the door, and casted another spell at the portraits.
" Lily, " he said after a moment, " You have read about the wizarding history. Have you?"
She nodded.
"Good, Voldemort, if you have read about him, was one of the greatest and powerful dark Wizard, one from whom everyone was afraid." He said.
"I know very well." she thought, "you don't have to tell me."
"So, during the first wizarding world, he tried to do everything he could to make himself immortal and most powerful of all. Tried everything to make himself Immortal and to live forever. Killed people, their kids, everyone who came in his way." He said now lost in thoughts, " but what we are going to talk about is not that."
"Then what?" she said, wanting him to proceed quickly.
"Be patient, Lily." his father ordered.
"He made something which was invulnerable. No one could destroy it except him. No one had that much power. He called it his Arezma. Which had the power to destroy the whole world in minutes." he said.
"The arezma had the power to protect him, the power to bring him back to life. The power to do anything to make Voldemort invulnerable" he said, sighing, " it was made to remain hidden, in order to protect it, . So that on the time of need, it would perform the job, for what it was made."
She got chills when he spoke the word Arezma.
"Although he knew very well that no one could destroy it, but he still feared that if someone finds out, he or she will try to destroy it, "her father spoke now, "to Clearly state he feared Dumbledore."
"And as he feared, I got the wind." Dumbledore said.
"But how?" she asked.
"Darkness can never stay undetected. And the amount of dark magic used was alarming. A member of Order of Pheonix reported about the cave in which it was present at the very moment." he told her.
"Some highly trained members of order of Pheonix along with Albus went there to find what was inside that cave." her father said.
"Ohhh..." she said trying to fit all that in her mind, "then what happened? Did you found out." she asked, now a bit endulged in the whole story.
"Not at that moment, because some people got injured just mysteriously. No one knew how nor they themselves saw what injured them. Your mother just fainted and we had to move out of the cave."
"Because she was expecting you at that moment." her father told her seriously.
"When we revisited the cave again there was nothing except a bit trails of dark magic which were old." Dumbledore told her.
"When your mother gave birth to you, you were adorable. A sweet little girl, who brought smiles to everyone's face." he said with a smile on his face. "But you could perform strong magic at only at the aqe of two and not only magic, but it was Dark magic. So your parents contacted me, and when we found out. It was the most dangerous i had ever," Dumbledore said, his expression stern.
"What... what do you," she said interuptting Dumbledore. She started to panic.
Stay calm, Lily his father said holding her hand. She tried to calm down but what she was thinking made her feel more horrible.
Dumbledore had now stood up, "Lily, you have to calm down if you want to know everything." he said.
"OK... okay tell me." she said, trying to calm down.
"It came out that it had resided inside you." he said, moving a hand through his beard.
"What but.." her eyes wide open now.
"You were just a little girl. We could not have left you with that. So we sealed that thing with some of your Magic at that time." he said, completely ignoring her.
"So when you grow up, become Mature enough to cope with it to control it." her father said, his voice a bit heavy now.
She tried to move but could not. She just wanted to leave, to go away, but could not muster up courage to do so.
"Lily, we told you you have to cope with it bravely. Do not let yourself break only on that. You have a big and hard life ahead." Dumbledore said, "Try to get that, try to be brave. And whenever you are ready you will come to me so that we can unseal your complete magic and that thing. You may go now. Minevra will be waiting for you downstairs. She will take you to common room."
She just stood up and walked towards the door, her whole body numb. "How could it reside inside her. How?" she thought as she made her way down the stairs, stumbling.
"Ms. Lily." Professor McGonagall called. But she didn't stop instead left alone.
She was halfway through the corridor when Zean stopped him.
"Ohhhh... Look at Ms. Know- it -all." he said, trying to stop her.
"Get away ,Zean." she said angrily.
"You angry?" he asked in a mimicking tone.
"I SAID GET OUT OF MY WAY." she shrieked as she draw her want out of her pocket. "DON'T YOU GET IT, YOU."
"Mr. Lestrange." Professor McGonagall called, "you get a detention for that."
She didn't listen to what she was saying but just left.
She spoke the password and stumbled her way in. The common room was empty except a few people.
"Lily." Harry called. But she didn't stop.
"Lily." he called again as he lept forward in her way.
"What is it, Harry." she said trying to hide her angry tears.
"You okay?" he asked "you are shivering."
"No I am fine!" she said angrily and left.
She drew her bed's curtains and fully covered herself in the blankets. One of her roommate asked if she was fine. But she didn't reply. She didn't wanted to talk to anyone at this moment.
