CHAPTER 4

(JESSICA'S P.O.V)

I watched Roman, Shelley, and Nadia cry in joy and happiness, as they held onto one another tightly. Seeing such a raw and picture perfect miracle, reminded me of Bon Temp, Happy moments of Bill, Sookie, and Tara and the rest of the community flashed through my thoughts, as I continued to stare on in silence. Adilyn and I's situation was like a double edged sword. On one end we were able to save Roman and Peter and their loved ones, but on the other end, Adilyn and I had lost everything. Roman suddenly stood up and wiped his eyes. "Name a price and it's yours," Roman said turning to Adilyn and I . "No, no, no," I quickly cut him off. "Come on you must want something," Roman stated in disbelief that we wanted nothing in return. "Hold on, let me get my checkbook." I quickly used my vampire agility to block Roman's path. "All we want is for you and Peter to tell us where we can find Quantic." "Aitor Quantic?," Roman frowned at me. "I don't know who that is." "I know him. He's my friend." Shelley spoke up. "You do?." Adilyn asked hopefully. "Yeah i met him at Rooster Poot. I can give you directions, since he lives in the residential area." Shelley explained. (For some characters I won't be using the exact canonical plot.)

"He's who we are supposed to be staying with," Adilyn explained to Roman and Peter. "Aitor is my uncle I've never met from my stepmom's side (Holly). "Sure if that's what you want Peter and I can drive you over to him." Roman said, searching for his car keys. "Could you or Adilyn resurrect my cousin Destiny that Roman killed?." Peter suddenly asked, making the room become instantly silent. I glanced at Roman who immediately tensed up. Him and Peter silently stared at one another intensely. I'm not sure what's going on between these two, but ever since Adilyn and I came to these guys' rescue, they have been giving out some weird friendenemy vibes…

(PETER'S P.O.V)

"Can you guys do it?." I asked Jessica and Adilyn. They both stared at one another for a moment. "I'll do it," Adilyn said, finally turning to me. "Thank God," Peter gasped in relief. "If Adilyn resurrects Destiny," Roman suddenly spoke up frankly. "Where do you and I stand?." I simply glanced at Roman blankly and said nothing. "I'll be in Roman's car…" Then I headed outside. In the next five minutes the four of us were heading towards Hemlock Grove Woods, while Roman drove. "Ok i'll just say it." Roman spoke up, breaking the uncomfortable silence. He glanced at a puzzled Jessica, who sat with him in the front seat. "I killed Peter's cousin Destiny." Roman glanced at Adilyn and I who were sitting in the back through the rearview mirror. "That's it?," Jessica asked me lightheartedly. "You're not scared?" Roman asked genuinely surprised. "I'm a vampire." Jessica responded with a small smile, as the car pulled to a stop. "I've done worse than that." "Giving me the silent treatment isn't going to stop me from confronting you Peter." Roman stated, as I took the shovel out of his trunk. "Again I ask the question: Where do we stand if Destiny is resurrected?." I still didn't respond. I had two shovels in my hands now, as I threw one to Roman. I headed to where Destiny was buried, and began to dig. Roman joined me, while the girls sat in the car not too far, and witnessed our awkward exchange. After digging for over fifteen minutes, Destiny's pale body surfaced. "Adilyn, Jessica," I called out to the girls. "We found her." The girls approached, and Adilyn dropped down into Destiny's grave without hesitation. I glanced over to Roman who seemed to be staring at me the whole three of us watched Adilyn's hands begin to glow, as she rested both hands on Destiny's chest. Within five minutes we saw Destiny begin to cough violently. "You fucking did it!," I rejoiced, jumping down into the grave. I then kissed Adilyn on the cheek, then embraced Destiny, who sat up now, as Adilyn climbed out of the grave. "I thought i lost you for good," I sobbed and continued to hug her. "Motherfucker!," Destiny suddenly exclaimed in anger pushing me off her, as she spotted Roman.

"Destiny No!," I shouted restraining her. "Is she dangerous?!," Jessica asked Roman worriedly, as she and Adilyn took a step back. "She's just pissed." Roman nonchalantly explained. "Youn damn right you little shit!." Destiny shrieked, as her eyes blazed with hatred. "Destiny, Roman is not the enemy, and we found a way to bring you back." "I was dead?!," Destiny questioned in disbelief, as she glanced around, and took in her surroundings for the first time. "Yes and thanks to these two ladies Jessica and Adilyn, I found a way to bring you back. Yes Roman killed you, but it was a bunch of misunderstandings, and unchecked emotions from all of us that lead up to this." I stated glancing at Roman. Was I still pissed at Roman for killing Destiny?. Yes. Did I think Roman was to be blamed entirely for how things played out?. No. At the time Destiny died everything had spun out of control. Roman and I were hiding one too many secrets to protect our loved ones. Now that I thought about it, I should have been honest… "How can you take this monster's side?!," Destiny pointed an accusing finger at Roman. "Considering that he killed me!."

"A Lot of what happened was driven by rage and misunderstandings. I'm not asking you to forgive Roman or me, but Roman and I have been given a second chance to make things right. Including our friendship." I responded to Destiny bravely, I wasn't restraining Destiny anymore, as she suddenly stood up. "I'm walking home." she announced coldly, as she climbed out her grave. "But we have a car," I answered, climbing out as well. "I SAID I"M WALKING!," she shouted angrily at Peter, while she dusted off the dirt from her clothes. She then stomped away from us leaving us watching her as she left.
