Makoto Naegi: Completing the Mission Chapter 3
Route: Valiant Hero
"That was a depressing ending a bit" Nicole said wiping her eyes and looks at the console. "Okay which next?" She then presses the two buttons she wanted
The first button was Government Supported Private Investigator which included Makoto successfully stolen evidence for the Republic, teamed up with Kirishima, The Legion of Doom leadership was arrested and the L.O.D's airship was impounded.
The second button was Presumed Dead which included Makoto faking his and Brass' deaths but they never met Ruby and Emerl.
"Okay, here goes" Nicole said and hits the launch button.
We come to a bar in the snowy region of Arstotzka just outside the main city. Makoto, Nicole and Brass were in there resting their legs, ever since the world believed them to be dead they were in hiding and disguised to avoid detection, just in case Frieza caught wind of them.
On the TV Kent Brockman was reporting on the Legion of Doom's Space Station of Doom. "...The Groudon Ruby and the Kyorgre Sapphire. The Station allows the Legion of Doom to easily raid any place on Earth, the only force that can stop them the Justice League are currently off planet dealing with a galactic situation."
"Man, I can't believe they still strong despite all you did that set them back" Brass said looking at that.
"Yeah, but obviously some members managed to avoid Republic long enough for that" Makoto said.
Suddenly gunfire could be heard outside, they go out to investigate and see Legion members Dick Dasterdly, Green Goblin and Klaww by a safe which is all beamed up no doubt by the space station
A republic trooper runs to the spot just missing them and sighs and takes off his helmet in frustration revealing him to be Kirishima
"Kirishma?" Makoto and Nicole said surprised.
Hearing his name the red-haired boy looks and sees them "Makoto? Nicole?" He smiles "Guys! I heard you died!"
"More like fake his death to avoid an evil galactic tyrant" Brass said and offers her hand "Hello I'm Brass"
"Nice to meet you" Kirishima said shaking her hand.
The group go back into the bar and sit down and Nicole asked, "So how have you been?"
"Oh man...not good" Kirishima said sighing "The Legion of Doom has been causing a punch of problems for me lately."
"Really even with most of the leadership being arrested after last time?" Makoto asked surprised.
"Yeah, that's true. Ever since their Space Station of Doom was set up, they've been super strong" Kirishima said with a nod
"Is there nothing we can do to stop them?" Brass asked.
Krishima was then struck with sudden idea and looks to Makoto "You know, now that I think about it, Makoto you and me made a good team in the past!"
"That is true" Makoto said with a nod
"Yeah, and I bet we can take them out. If I'm honest it's starting to..." Kirishima said and then looks angry serious "Get personal" He then goes back to normal and asked "So? What do you say? Want to help me take them out for good?"
"Sure, why not would love to get out of this region faster than expected" Makoto said with a nod
"I'm in too" Brass said with a smile
"Nice, always wanted a co-pilot" Kirishima said smiling
"Wherever Makoto goes, I will go too" Nicole said with a nod
"Sweet! Okay guys follow me, I have a way we can get into space" Kirishima said smiling getting up
The other three nod and get up to follow.
We come to Space and then a grey and black ship it was an TIE/rp Reaper attack lander flies by
"Wait, this isn't Republic tech" Nicole said noticing.
"Yep, it's a little something the Republic stole form an Imperial outpost. But we added a few upgrades to it, what do you think?" Kirishima asked smiling.
"It's not bad" Brass said in the co-pilot chair.
"Yeah, it will get us the" Makoto said smiling.
They soon stop as they see in the distance the space station.
"There it is" Kirishima said with a smile "Okay, how do you want me to bring you in Makoto? Oh man this is excting. It's just like last time!"
"Well then" Nicole said and gets the data from Brass "Here are my suggestions Makoto."
Kirishima could either drop Makoto off, beam him onboard, use an air cannon to fire a bubble of air to the space station or use a trash ball.
"Hmmmmmm" Makoto thinks
Drop Off
"Drop us off Kirishima" Makoto said with a nod
"Okay, then I guess I will fly on over and drop you off I guess" Kirishima said with a shrug and begins flying towards the space station
On board said station Shockwave gets some detections and gets on the comm "Excuse me sir, I'm picking up an imperial ship but I detect Republic tech in it's systems."
The current boss of the Legion Roman Torchwick then said on the comm "Alright then, so blow it up already"
As the ship approaches it is then bombarded with lasers destroying it.
Nicole with a phone shakes her head "One star, The dude straight up drove into lasers." she then resets
Beam Aboard
"Beam us onto the ship" Makoto said with a smile
"So beam you in Scotty" Brass said and giggles
"Yeah, I'll just beam you right on board. Should be a piece of cake" Kirishima said with a smile
The ship then postions itself pointing it's bottom part at the space station and then beams Makoto and Nicole on to.
Makoto looks around and see he's on the bridge and then sees a man staring at him bemused, a man in a white coat, red hair, black hat and a cane. This was Roman Torchwick the current leader of the Legion of Doom, through he didn't really want it but someone had to step up.
Roman then glares and points his cane which was also a gun at Makoto angry.
Nicole giggles and said "Welcome aboard! Now get out." she then resets
Air Cannon
We come to Makoto and Nicole in a big bubble attached to a cannon.
Kirishima said "Alright, I know it sounds weird but this air bubble is going to keep you breathing till you get to the side wings, alright?"
Makoto nods and gives thumbs up. "Fire!" Brass said and presses the button launching the bubble.
We see the bubble floating by slowly as Kirishima said "It's also really sturdy so no worry on it popping on you"
We see it still floating and Makoto looks at his watch Brass said "It seems not to move very fast"
"Yeah….still working that one out" Kirishima admits rubbing his head.
We next see the bubble Makoto was choking struggling to breath as Kirishima said "Don't worry, we'll keep you company till you get there, no problem."
We next see the bubble, Makoto was dead having died of lack of oxygen. Kirishima asked unaware "So, seen any good movies?"
Nicole face palming said "You used up all the air already? You glutton." She resets.
Trash Ball
Kirishima hands Makoto a space suit and said "Put on this space suit and hide in this ball of trash" He points to said ball
"What?" Makoto asked confused
"Come on, it's a good idea. Trust me!" Kirishima said to him
"I would probably trust him" Brass said
"Okay" Nicole said sighing.
Makoto does so and it then launched to the space station and successfully reaches to it and crashes to the side and holds ont a part of it.
Nicole sees a tan Chibi Marine and grabs it "Yes another...wait…." She s sees it was made my Monokuma knock off sales "Grrrr Monokuma!" She throws it away it wasn't part of the official collection and wasn't even plushie.
"See? I told you it was a good idea." Kirishima said proud on it working.
"Yeah it was, the Legion of Doom have no idea you're then now Makoto" Brass said nodding
"Yeah, that was a good plan" Makoto said nodding
"We'll sit back here so they don't detect us" Kirishima said with a nod.
"Yeah, but we will still be able to help you get inside from here through" Brass said sending some suggestions
"Okay, here's what I got Makoto" Nicole said calming down a Super Accurate laser, A hot knife or see what Kirishima has in mind.
Hot Knife
"Hey, you feel that button on your helmet there?" Kirishima asked
Makoto feels round his helmet and feels it "Yes I do"
"Go ahead and press it" Kirishima said smiling, Makoto does so and out pops a knife with a hot blade but Makoto fails to grab it and it floats off to space. "A knife that is so hot, it can cut through any marital. Go ahead and use it"
"Errr..." Makoto said awkwardly.
"You dropped it didn't you?" Brass asked deadpanned
"Not exactly, I never even got to hold it" Makoto said
"Butterfingers?" Nicole said with a shrug.
"Well let's go with one of the other ideas" Brass said sighing
Super Accurate Laser
Kirishima awkwardly said, "This might make you a little nervous, but we're going to fire a super accurate laser shot right next to you."
"What, why?" Makoto asked worried
Brass set up the laser cannon said "Well it'll make a hole you can climb through and get inside, y'know?"
"Well...I guess we should try it" Makoto said sighting
The shot is fired and it hit's the station and makes a hole, however this sends an alert to Shockwave
"We're under attack? Quickly raise the shields!" Shockwave orders
The shields were raised and Makoto notices it but too late to act as they power one and slice him in half killing him
"Ooooo" Nicole said wincing at that "Shields up!" She then resets
Kirishima (Charles)
As Makoto was thinking Kirishima then said "You know what, no. This calls for some bold action"
"What do you mean by that?" Brass asked
"Oh no" Nicole said worried realizing what he meant
Kirishima then sings out loud "I'M THE BOLD ACTION MAN!"
Makoto could sees the ship flying quickly towards him and tried to find a way to get out the way, there was none so he braced himself and the ship crashes into the station.
However shockingly this works the ship crashed into the station and then crashed into what looked to be the space stations power core.
A computer voice said "Warning! Critical damage to core. Please evacuate immediately"
"Ohhhh..I can't believe that worked" Makoto said removing his damaged helmet
"Yeah, I guess so" Nicole said nodding
Brass and Kirishima drop down from the crashed ship the latter coughed taking his helmet off. Both were scuffed up but alright
"I always wanted to do that" Kirishima said smiling proud
"Yeah, I could tell" Brass said standing up.
"Well, it worked out for the best" Makoto said nodding
"Yeah, in any case. We should probably find a way off this station before it explodes" Kirishima said thinking
"Yeah, let's find the escape pods or the hanger bay" Brass said with a nod
The team rushes out of the core just before it is sealed but stoped by a closed door.
Brass tries the door controls but it doesn't work "Darn it, looks like the doors jammed. And it seems this is the only way through"
"Well I have some ideas" Nicole said thinking either hack the door, Makoto and Kirishima lift it open or use a vent to get around it.
Hack
"I think I can hack this door to open" Kirishima said and begins to type at the door controls, Brass helps however there were several denied beeps. Kirishima then awkwardly shrug and said "Yeah...I have no idea what I'm doing"
Makoto and Nicole give deadpan looks while Brass said "Yeah, if anything it just made it harder"
"Bruh" Nicole said with a sigh "Let's try something else"
Lift
"Alright Makoto, let's lift it" Kirishima said remove his gauntlet and uses his harden quirk and moth boys bend over to grip the door.
"Okay, one, two, three lift!" Brass said
The two boys do so but it was too heave and come crashing down on top of Makoto's spine as he tried to crawl under to the otherside and onto Kirishima's fingers "AHHHHHH!" he cried out as despite his quirk it still hurt
Nicole squints and said "Are you lifting with your back?" she then resets
Vent
Brass opens a vent nearby and said "I bet this vent leads somewhere on the other side."
"Good idea Brass, lets try it" Kirishima said smiling
The group one by one climb into the vent. It was quite dark but luckily it was a sling corridor of vent so needing to see wasn't needed at the moment.
"Crawling through the vents..." Kirishima sang quitly but was cut off when a huge explosion was heard "Oh boy, we're running out of time"
"Yeah, that sounded like it was maybe a cooling system" Brass said with a nod
They open the vent as the computer said "Damage to core. Please evacuate immediately" They see several Legion members run past, one member known as A.I.M Scientist named Barry trips but quickly recovers.
With the cost clear they crawl out and sees a few unconscious members of the Legion of Doom and follow them and find the escape pods, they see the A.I.M Scientist run into one.
"Okay which pod should we take?" Nicole asked the could either take the Luxury Escape Pod, the Cracked Escape Pod or the Occupied Escape Pod
Luxury Escape Pod
Makoto presses the button to open the pod "This is a fancy one" He said with a smile
However when opened it revealed to be several of the higher ups of the Legion including Roman Torchwick, Bane, former mayor Sideshow Bob, a Piraka named Zaktan, a shadowy figure with a pipe named Father and an old woman named Mom in the pod.
Awkwardly Kirishima asked "Room for a few more?"
Bob upon seeing Makoto said "Hey I know him, he's the one who stole the Sapphire!"
"And the one who got the Airship division arrested!" Roman shouted angry
"Break them!" Bane ordered and Father, Roman and Zaktan draw weapons and point it at them.
"Rude." Nicole said and then notices by Father and mom a Cyan Chibi Marine "Excuse me, I'm just..." She walks over and takes it "I'm going to take this thanks"
"What?" Father said confused at this awkward moment.
"Sorry, collecting them, bye" Nicole said and resets
Occupied Escape Pod
Makoto opens the pod and they see Barry who gasped "Ah! This one is taken!"
The A.I.M scientist works the controls and seals the door shut "Phew..." Barry said but then the computer voice said "Reverse thruster engaged"
"Huh?" Brass said
Suddenly the escape pod reverses, slamming into Makoto and Kirishima and crushing them into the wall
Nicole shocked said "Why do they even HAVE that lever?"
"Cupcake" The cupcake said
"Yeah, nice reference" Brass said smiling
"Thanks" She said and resets
Cracked Escape Pod
Makoto presses the button but it doesn't open. He keeps trying but it won't budge. Brass then slams the button and that gets it to respond
"Will this even launch?" Makoto asked
Nicole checks and said "Yeah it will work" Nicole said nodding.
Everyone gets in and takes their seats. Kirishima sighs and said "Ah, well that was intense. Can't way to go home and tell my school friends and everyone..."
Suddenly the door opens and Makoto is dragged out by the villain Cobra Commander. "That pod is mine!" he screamed.
Brass and Kirishima knock the villain away and shove Makoto into the pod, the villain recovers and knocks the two down but seeing the pod close he tries to open it but Kirishima stops him
"No wait Kirshima! Brass!" Makoto calls out
"Just go! Don't worry about us!" Kirishima said as he holds onto Cobra Commander
"But we can't leave you!" Nicole said
"It's fine! We'll find another way!" Brass said and auto launches the pod.
The two sit looking at the station till there comms came on "Makoto, Nicole? You guys there?"
"Yes! We're here! Are you both okay?" Makoto asked worried
"Yeah we're good...but that roughed us up" Brass groans a bit
"Yeah but we got him though" Kirishima added nodding
"That's good but hurry and get out of there both of you" Nicole said worried, there wasn't much time.
"Yeah, come on, there should be another escape pod we can take" Brass said on the comm
"Yeah...but you know no matter what we did it through, we got them." Kirishima groans a bit.
Makoto and Nicole could only look at the station in concern and worry.
"Yeah...it was a pretty good plan" Brass said with a nod
"Yeah, in fact you could say it was the greatest..." Kirishima said smiling
Before he could finish the Space Station of Doom completely explodes
"KIRISHIMA! BRASS!" Makoto said said in shock in horror as two of his friends were killed in that explosion, tears in his eyes
"No….No!" Nicole cries as she sits down saddened her friend Brass was killed
As the pod makes its way to Earth we see several other Legion of Doom escape pods descending onto Earth, so majority of the members have survived but with limited resources they will all be isolated and alone
But that mattered little to the heroes who mourned for their friends deaths on the station. The coordinates for their pod were set for the Republic jungle camp, where they will report on their mission.
At the camp General Jace Malcolm sat awaiting news. Suddenly Sargent Elara Dorne arrived and said "General." Jace looks up to see her along with Makoto and Nicole "The Legion of Doom station has been destroyed."
"Ah, excellent news" Jace said smiling but then noticed the solemn looks on Makoto and Nicole and the small sad look on Elara's face "What's wrong?"
"It wasn't without losses sir." Elara said "Private Kirisihima and their friend Brass died when the station exploded"
"I see...I am sorry to you both, I didn't know Brass but I knew you were both close to Kirishima, let it be known he along with your friend will be given the highest honours" Jace said with a nod
"Thank you General" Makoto said nodding
It was a sad funeral, many of Kirishima's UA friends attended it, even his own personal hero Crimson Riot. Due to no bodies both Kirishima and Brass were given headstones on a cliff edge overlooking the sea.
Makoto sniffs as he and Nicole saluted them both, honouring the Valiant Heroes

Well that was a bummer, hopefully the next one is a much happier ending.
