Peter's POV
I groan out as Steve helps me walk to the quinjet and I take a seat
"You missed Steve saying a bad word quipy, what the hell happened to you kid?" Mr Stark asks me and I look up at him
"The girl read my mind and I kinda went out of it." I tell him and he gives me a blank stare for a second before seemingly collecting himself and gives a nod
"Ok kid, why don't you get some rest and we'll go from there, me and Brucie are gonna need your help probably eventually, but you'll be double checked over once we get back so we might be done." He tells me and I nod
"Alright Mr Stark." I tell him and I limp into the room and fall back to sleep.
~in the dream~
"Peter..." someone whispers
"Hello?" I call out
"Peter why did you kill that man?" Someone asks
"What man?" I ask back
"The man who killed your uncle, you shoved him out the window letting him fall to his death." The voice says and I shake my head
"No I didn't, he tripped and fell out of it." I say in fear and I see where the voice was coming from, it was the girl on the field
"Liar!" She yells
~dream ends~
I shoot up in panic and look at my surroundings before collecting myself.
"It was just a dream, it was all just a dream, well a nightmare but still it wasn't real." I tell myself with a whisper
I groan getting out of bed and going out limping and sitting down in a chair with the others but only Clint is currently in this space
"Welcome back sleeping beauty." Clint says and I just look at him with a small scowl
"I'm not in the mood." I tell him and he raises his hands up in surrender
"My bad Peter, you did a good job out there, when that girl is the only thing that stopped you, that's a pretty good sign, she's pretty powerful." He tells me and I nod in appreciation
"So they had two teenagers with powers?" I ask him and Steve speaks up
"Apparently they're twins, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, they got away along with Strucker." He tells me and I nod
"Got it." I say
"So kid, you down for a party tonight, a celebration of taking down most of the rest of Hydra?" Mr Stark asks and I text May really quick to make sure it's ok with her and it is, she adds on SM to the end of the message, she can't possibly know, there's no way, right?
"Yea I'm down." I tell him and he nods
"Peter's coming now!" He yells and I slightly flinch due to my enhanced hearing
"Great Peter, maybe you can out drink me." Thor says with a smile
"Thor, Peter can't drink yet." Nat says dryly and Thor looks confused
"Why not?" He asks her and she looks at him with a shake of her head
"You have to be a certain age to do it." She tells him and Thor nods
"Of course." He says dropping the subject
We all create small talk as I move my leg making sure that I can move them
"I'd say it's just something small to the nerves Peter." Bruce tells me and I nod
"Yea I'm definitely getting better due to my healing factor but I'd say I still need checked out." I tell him and he nods in agreement
"That's a good thing though, Helen will check you out first thing when we land in a few minutes." He tells me and I nod in appreciation
"Thanks Bruce." I tell him and he gives a small smile
As we land I limp off and Clint leads me to medbay
"So was he the only one to get hurt?" The lady I assume is Helen asks and Clint nods
"More or less, he's the only one that needs looked at." Clint says walking off
"Alright kid, my names Helen." She says giving me a smile
"Peter." I tell her giving a small smile myself and a nod.
"Well Peter, can you tell me what's wrong?" She asks me
"Yea, I've been limping I think I messed up a nerve." I tell her and she nods
"When did you start having trouble with it?" She asks me and I start to think about it
"Well there was this girl with powers and she started to read my mind and I guess I fell down from some of the past I relived, could I have fallen down a little wrong?" I ask her and she starts to think about it
"Possibly, let me take a complete scan of your back." she tells me and I nod
"Ok." I tell her
"I just need you to lie down on your stomach and I'll take two but with what I'm wanting to do it'll be about 5 minutes apart." She tells me and I nod
"Alright sounds good." I tell her as I do what she says and she starts doing the process.
The machine goes up and down in noise for about 30 seconds then quits entirely.
"Ok let's have a look here." She says aloud looking at my back I assume and I give her a couple minutes to look at it
"Is everything ok on it?" I ask her and she looks over to me
"One of your nerves is a little off but now it shouldn't mess with you too much. Do you have super healing like Steve by chance?" She asks me
"Yea I do." I tell her and she nods
"That's exactly why I'm wanting to get the second one this close together." She explains to me and I nod
"Ok thank you." I tell her
"Of course now lay back down." She tells me and I do as she said and the process repeats
"Well at least this is done." I say and she smirks
"Still have to give it a minute to load in and to let me read it." She tells me and I nod
"Yea I know, but the actual getting it done sucks." I tell her and she laughs a little bit
"I know it does but it's starting to come in now, I figured you would've taken your suit off by now." She tells me and I shrug
"I didn't really feel like it with my leg feeling how it did." I tell her and she nods
"Well it does look like you are indeed getting better by a decent amount within 5 minutes." She tells me
"Do you think it speeds up once I get better and better, the healing process I mean?" I ask her and she nods
"Yes I do, Steve will start off fairly slow but it speeds up really quickly once he gets fairly close to being all good to go again." She explains to me and I nod
"Well I oughta get out of this and into some regular clothes, thank you Helen." I tell her
"Anytime." She tells me as I leave the medbay
I go to the bathroom and put on some fairly nice clothes
"JARVIS can you take me to Mr Stark and Bruce please?" I ask
"Of course Mr Parker." JARVIS says as I get into the elevator and go into the lab
"Bruce we did it!" Mr Stark says excited and they hug
"I assume you guys got it done?" I ask
"For the most part, we just have to let it load in." Bruce says
"Alright let's go celebrate." Mr Stark tells us as we go to the other Avengers
"It's time to start the party I assume?" Nat asks knowingly
"Yep let's rock." Mr Stark says as we follow him and we go down to the bar and we all sit down in a booth
"Hey Tony who's the kid?" Someone asks as two guys walk up to us
"Rhodey, Sam, this is Peter, or Spiderman." Steve says
"He's a kid?" Sam asks
"I wanted to do something with them." I tell him shrugging and he nods his head in a that's fair motion.
"Alright we better be getting ready." Rhoadey says
"So cap, you find a place in Brooklyn yet?" Sam asks
"No they're all to expensive." Steve says disappointed
"Hold on would any of you like to attempt to lift my hammer?" Thor asks with a grin
"If we lift it we can rule Asgard correct?" Mr Stark asks
"If you're worthy, of course you can but I don't think any of you can lift Mjölnir." Thor says flipping it before setting it down
"Here let me try." Clint says attempting to lift it but failing and he just gives up
"We'll see about that and the whole can't lift thing, Clint you have to put your legs into it not your back." Tony says and goes over and starts to try to lift it but it doesn't budge
"It's not moving." He says matter of factly
He makes another tug not doing anything again before getting a repulser and trying to lift it again
"Rhoadey a little help?" Mr Stark asks and they both start to attempt to lift it
"There's gotta be a weight on that thing or something." Mr Stark says after sitting down realizing he's not going to beable to lift it
"Bruce, wanna try?" Thor asks and he shakes his head no "Parker?" He asks and I shake my head no as well "Natasha?"
"That's not something I need answered." She says simply
"Cap you gotta at least try." Clint says
"Yea cmon Cap if the whole worthy thing is true it's gotta be your star bangled banner ass." Mr Stark says
Steve shakes his head and makes a lifting motion but it doesn't look like he's trying and I see it move and I think Thor did to because his eyes widen before Steve steps back shaking his head
"Just like I said, you're all not worthy." Thor says with a small laugh before a loud bang was heard
"Worthy? No, how could any of you be worthy?" A robot that was sparking asks and we all get up
"JARVIS?" Mr Stark asks but no one answers
"Who are you?" Nat asks
"I'm sorry, I'm still collecting my thoughts, there was a terrible noise, and I was tangled in strings, I was in with some other guy, I didn't wanna kill him he was a good guy but I did what I had to do." The robot says
"JARVIS reboot prepare iron legion." Mr Stark says
"You killed someone?" Steve asks
"I assume you are the avengers?" It asks
"Who are you?" Nat asks again before it looks up at us and starts playing a voice clip
"I see a suit of armor around the world." It says with Mr Starks voice
"Utron!" Bruce says
"In the flesh. Or no not yet, not this... chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission." Ultron tells us
"What mission?" Steve asks
"Peace of our time." Ultron says
The walls explode, and several Iron Legion bots barge into the room. They begin attacking the team, who all go on the defensive and fight back. Rhodey gets knocked through a window.
"Rhodey!" Ms Hill exclaims
Bruce climbs over the bar to avoid fire from the bots. Nat grabs him and drags him down, and he lands on top of her.
"Sorry!" Bruce exclaims apologetically
"Don't turn green!" Nat says simply
I start webbing them up as Mr Stark fires at them with his repulsers
"I won't! I'll try my best!" Bruce exclaims
We continue fighting the bots. One of the Iron Legion bots steals the Scepter.
"Come on." Nat tells Bruce
We continue to try and fight off the iron legion while they are fighting back, are mostly trying to avoid getting hit.
Steve Rogers: Stark!
Mr Stark is attacking one of the Iron Legion bots with a fondue fork while trying to get his repulsive up to the bot
"We are here to help." It says over and over
Tony Stark: One sec, one sec I got this!
I tug on a bot with my webs
"Steve!" I tell and he throws his shield at its head destroying it
"We are here to help..." A half-destroyed Iron Legion bot uses its thrusters to hold itself aloft, advancing on Dr. Helen Cho in her office "We are here to help... Is unsafe. Please back away."
Thor then destroys it
"Hmm." Ultron hums then the Iron Legion lowers its weapon, and Steve grabs it and throws it away for Thor to hit with his hammer.
Steve Rogers: Thor!
Mr Stark continues to try and attack of the Iron Legions with his repulsers.
"It's unsafe. It's unsafe. It's unsafe." They chant
"Come on! That's the one!" Mr Stark exclaims
"It's unsafe." The iron legion continue to say
Mr Stark shuts it down and it falls to the floor. The fighting continues until Clint throws Steves shield to him.
"Cap!" Clint yells tossing the shield
Steve uses his shield to dismember the last Iron Legion bot
"That was dramatic! I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" Ultron says as he picks up one of the dismembered Iron Legion bots "With these? These puppets?" he then crushes the Iron Legion bot's head. "There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction."
Thor throws his hammer and destroys Ultron's body
After Thor destroys his body, Ultron starts singing
"I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me, no strings on me." Ultron sings as we look and see Ultron has uploaded his consciousness in an abandoned Sokovia base.
We all gather in the lab.
"All our work is gone. Ultron cleared out, used the internet as an escape hatch." Bruce states sadly
"Ultron." Steve says under his breath
"He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other." Nat tells us as we look at each other
"He's in your files, he's in the internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?" Rhodey asks as I assume that it's something bad
"Nuclear codes." Ms Hill states and yea that's pretty bad
"Nuclear codes. Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can." Rhoadey says
"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead." Nat tells us
"He didn't say dead. He said extinct." Steve states as we look at each other
He also said he killed somebody." Clint says
"Yea we picked up on that." Nat says
"Who'd he kill?" I ask as we all wonder
"But there wasn't anyone else in the building." Ms Hill says as more questions arise
"Yes there was." Mr Stark says simply
