Zed Pov:

"Graduating High School is an important step in everyone's life, whether it's being a human or any other type of monster who's graduated with a diploma. Addison and I are planning on going to college to continue our lives together and be something incredible in the future. My friend Revenant is hellbent on looking after Seabrook along with the attention he has started to attract, it's not like he's asking people to come into town and start trouble. But it seems like they're attracted to him, and that can always lead to trouble when it affects everyone when they don't know who arrives. Either way, things have lately gone quiet and there hasn't been anything weird going on. So this is the best time to hit the beach and enjoy the sun while there's still time."

Morning-Seabrook Beach

With school ended and everyone enjoying the morning Zed and Addison were spending time together underneath a parasol watching how much had changed during the past several years. They'd never except for werewolves, aliens, and that of Ceto to inhabit the town.

"To think. After putting much effort into welcoming everyone into Seabrook and dedication to making the town welcoming. I'm going miss this place."

Zed spoke out that while the town had its unique brand of strangeness and had him running around to keep his friends and girlfriend safe. The boy was going to miss this place, especially the people in it.

"We can come back and visit Seabrook. Willa and the pack will be keeping us informed about what's going on in town, and Eliza will be sending us gifts if anything new comes. And don't forget about Revenant sharing with us about the mysterious cases that'll happen while we're gone."

Addison listed several things that would keep them in contact with Seabrook since it was the best place to live. Along with that if they wanted to hear about something exciting in town, Revenant would be more than ready to share a story or two since he'd be busy welcoming the new residents that were coming to town.

"Speaking of him. He told me that he'd come here with Wynter to enjoy the beach with us, hopefully, Brit isn't keeping him occupied at Sentinel."

Zed asked about how they would have a beach day together since most of their friends were busy. While they decided to enjoy what they had for themselves, they heard the sound of yelling coming from the side which came from a hot dog vendor that was being assaulted by what looked like a blob. It had purple skin and a pink baseball cap and was enjoying the meals within the cart.

"Can someone call off their pet blob! He's eating all of my dogs!"

The zombie owner shouted to the crowd if there was anyone who might own the gelatinous creature that was eating his entire stock. Zed and Addison attempted to try and move the living mass of blob off the cart but were unable to due to its grounded stance.

"Jelly! Get your head out of that cart this instant!"

Someone called out its name with an assertive attitude as it came from Brit who was with Night wing, Wynter, and Revenant who were each wearing beach attire clothing that fitted their styles. The couple moved away from Jelly as the purple blob took a moment to look at the four and move toward them, it started making bubbling sounds as it attempted to communicate with the leader of Sentinel.

"You have to give money to the vendor. Not devour the whole cart as if it's an all you can eat buffet."

She explained to the blob about not eating an entire cart of hot dogs. Continuing to make sounds, Brit decided to guide the living mass somewhere that it could satisfy its hunger while Zed and Addison looked over at the others in a confused manner at what had just happened.

"Meet one of our new residents of Seabrook. Jelly, a living gelatinous mass that had broken out of a laboratory that experimented on making fruit not go moldy. It means well, it's just really hungry."

Revenant introduced them to the blob as Brit was keeping it fed since Jelly needed to learn its surroundings around Seabrook if it was going to live here. With everyone now here to enjoy the beach day, they walked over to their parasol and decided to set up for lunch and enjoy the view of the ocean.

"We've been lucky so far with the new arrivals. Guess when it comes to handling a bunch of dangerous people, monsters, and ancient entities that despise our very way of life."

Revenant spoke about how the latest set of visitors outside of Seabrook was innocent and had no violent motives in changing how things were. They shared a laugh while it was both life-changing and threatening since the individuals who came to town attempted to destroy it, the outcome made everyone stronger and closer than ever before.

"That's because they had to act all tough and brooding to everyone they believed were weak. But not us, because we got the claws and strength to handle anything."

Wynter proclaimed how they had gotten stronger and more fierce during the past years they had given each of them an edge toward the people who wanted to cause trouble. Though they wouldn't have gotten that way if it hadn't been for the Fruitpire's training, they looked over to Night wing and wanted to give him credit for the training and education he had offered them.

"You all had managed things on your own quite well. But you should be alert about what's been happening behind the scenes of Seabrook. Including the aliens and Mothership deciding to travel around the Earth to learn about its culture in secret."

He informed them that several of the aliens decided to remain in Seabrook to embrace their new home. Several of the aliens such as A-Li and A-Lan along with their peacekeeper Apex decided to bring a handful of aliens to travel across the globe to learn more about this world's secrets. The only ones to remain here were A-Spen due to their relationship with Willa and Aerial, who wanted to spend quality time with her half-cousin's family members and apply to Seabrook High.

"Well, that's their adventure. Mine is just spending quality time with my girlfriend and soon-to-be campus couple who'll be leaving in a few days."

Revenant brought up Zed and Addison preparing to head off to college since they wanted to enjoy their remaining days here in Seabrook. With that being said and deciding to enjoy the occasion, Zed brought out several cans of soda for his friends since he wanted to make a toast for the occasion. While they thanked their athletic zombie for the fizzy beverage, Rev gave him a questionable look at how zombies and sodas didn't mix.

"Relax there Rev. They aren't from a haunted convenience store or from Tiki-Z. They are genuine one hundred percent normal soda cans."

He responded to his cautious friend about drinking the soda cans as Revevnant was still on the bench about how whenever something seemed to be going well, the problem would often start from one small can of soda. Deciding to not think about it that hard, Rev drinks from it as well as the others since they didn't think anything could happen for drinking a can of soda. Just as they were enjoying the beverage, they heard the sound of sighing from the boardwalk as the gang looked over to see the leader of the aliens A-Spen looking sad and floating in the air.

"Maybe we should see what's wrong with them. It's not safe to float in the air and not pay attention at the same time."

Addison advised them since she'd been learning about her hidden alien abilities and learned about safe flying. The group made their way over to A-Spen who was barely attention to their flight path as they bumped into several people and caused several items to fall onto the ground. They didn't even pay attention when they came upon Jelly as the blob was able to stop the sad alien's flight path.

"Just what I need for my summer. Getting an alien leader out of a blob before it devours them whole."

Brit muttered in annoyance as she rushed over to help A-Spen pay attention as the others arrived to get them on the ground. Taking a moment to clear off the stuff that was stuck on their body, it seemed that it didn't affect them as the look on A-Spen's face showed nothing but sadness and regret.

"Hey, buddy. Are you feeling alright? Are you feeling upset about your friends taking off?"

Zed asked cautiously toward A-Spen to see if there was anything he could do to help with whatever was bothering them. They said nothing but waited to see if the alien leader would respond to his question. Looking over to the side where several graduates were enjoying their beach time with friends and family, it seemed there was an issue that A-Spen was having with the unsuspecting group.

"It's not fair that despite having one year at Seabrook High, my friends will be departing off to another resource of high learning."

The alien leader responded about what was bothering them since the issue was Zed, Addison, and half of the entire class had become seniors and had left the school. This left them and several other students at Seabrook High by themselves without having Zed, Addison, or even Revenant come for assistance if they needed help with everyday school activities.

"It's not all that bad A-Spen. Especially since you'll be in charge of the Monster Society club and will have Rev's adoptive siblings hanging out with you."

Addison attempted to cheer up her alien friend that while they wouldn't be around to keep an eye out for new members in the club they formed. In addition to meeting the enhanced zombie trio that the Jones adopted and helping train their powers as they did with Revenant when he was little. While those were good things to look forward to, it didn't change how A-Spen was feeling nor did it help them in seeing the positive side of being in high school alone.

"I wanted to spend time with all of you since my people owe you our lives in saving us from the Blight and welcoming us to Seabrook. I wish to learn more but was too late to enroll at an earlier time."

A-Spen proclaimed that they owed the Z-gang much in helping the aliens feel welcome and desiring to spend quality time with their friends. It was sad to hear how they wouldn't have time to spend with A-Spen, there were other ways to do it. The more upset the alien became, the more their gauntlet along with their hair started to glow mysteriously as the lights started to act up with the tantrum that A-Spen was having.

"I desire more time for us to have at Seabrook High!"

Making their statement loud enough for the entire beach to hear as A-Spen let out a burst of Stardust Sparkle that forced everyone to shield their eyes from the light. The stream of blue energy from A-Spen went into the air as well as sending out a wave that affected the technology around the beach causing everything to short-circuit. Having finished with their ranting, A-Spen let out a breath of relief from the energy release they had just done in front of everyone.

"Apologies for my shouting. My emotional suppressor has been acting off and have requested Eliza for assistance. I'm sorry for the damages I have caused."

Apologizing for what happened the blast didn't seem to affect the lights around them for that long as they resumed back to normal in a couple of seconds. However, it did leave an impression of what would happen if an alien didn't manage to keep their emotional suppressors in check.

"It's fine. Just next time give us a head start when you're about to go supernova on us."

Revenant suggested that despite being pummeled into the ground by all manners of creatures and threats, being blinded by an alien light was something entirely different as he felt like his vision was almost taken. With that being settled, Addison thought it was best to let A-Spen socialize with the gang to help calm their senses and spend enough time with them since they had the entire summer to hang out. Night wing had an uneasy feeling from the outburst of energy that A-Spen let out since despite not harming anyone, he felt something had happened, the only question was what was affected by the Stardust Sparkle.

Next Day-Sentinel's Big House

The morning had come for another day and things were subtle at Sentinel headquarters with its agents keeping an eye out for the prisoners who desired to spread conflict onto Seabrook and the rest to make a home for the small town. Right now in Revenant's room was the zombie boy slowly waking up from a good night's rest he didn't know why but he slept incredibly.

"Looks like somebody had a good dream last night."

A voice asked him as it came from Wynter who wanted to sleep over with her boyfriend since Brit decided to host a small party for the hard work that the agents had done for Sentinel. He nodded toward his werewolf girlfriend and how he had had a good dream since she was with him during the duration of the party.

"Well. I don't know how to explain it, is it because you got to show off toward Brit's people in an arm wrestling contest? Or Night wing getting tipsy over a couple of glasses of vegetable juice?"

Revenant asks her how the party went as Wynter laughs softly at the comment since it was a sight to see her friends who had risked life and limb for Seabrook to cut loose. Deciding to lay back down with her and have an arm wrapped around Wynter's side, the couple thought about several things they could do together since they had a lot of free time on their hands.

"You know, I was thinking we could go camping outside of Seabrook. Maybe past the limits where Baba Yaga is at the moment. If we're lucky, we could get into a scrap with a monster that's looking for trouble. Or maybe check up on Queen if she needs help with the Insectoid hive."

Wynter listed several things they could do together that resulted in them having quality time and fighting someone or something to get her blood pumping. Rev couldn't help but smile at the excitable werewolf since she was always looking for excitement, but all he wanted was to do nothing and enjoy the time he'd earn for himself and for the girl he fell in love with.

"Sure honey. Sure."

He responded as Wynter cuddled close to Rev as the best thing they could do for now was sleep for an hour or two before getting up to enjoy the day together. Just as they were about to fall asleep, both of their phones started to ring which caused Wynter to growl in frustration at the moment being ruined by the ringing sound. Taking a moment to check out what was going on, Wynter received a call from her pack leader while Revenant was getting a call from Principal Lee of Seabrook High.

"Good Morning Revenant! Sorry for making a personal call since the school's automated system would be doing it, but I wanted to let you know that school starts in several hours. We can't have the protector being tardy in his senior year. Anyway, see you back in class!"

She said before hanging up a text message soon popped up showing school supplies he needed for Seabrook High which made the zombie confused by what she was talking about. Looking over at Wynter, the look on her face was of getting a picture from the Wolf Den of the wolves panicking about being called back to high school.

"What. In the wolf, is happening?"

Wynter asked in a nervous tone about being called to come into school despite already graduating. Suddenly without warning the alarms went off as an emergency was happening across the building, having no time the couple got on a set of clothes and rushed out to the monitor room to see across the screen half of the town losing it over the calls they were getting from Seabrook High.

"I don't care if you had the greatest hangover of all time. Get your backside to Zombie Town on the double before a riot starts!"

Brit shouted on her communicator to her people that half of Seabrook was going out of its mind due to everyone being called back to school. The pair looked at the screen seeing numerous seniors they had seen graduate becoming confused, agitated, and complaining about the unusual turn of events going on. Walking past Rev and Wynter was Night wing who brought out several books involving a shift in seasons as well as possibly a curse placed over the town.

"I don't know what it is. There's no trace of witchcraft, foul play, or even a curse being used at the moment. It's like if we've gone backyards for over a year."

He explained that this wasn't supernatural but time-based as they saw the date being reversed and ending up back in September. It was a first for everyone since they had never handled something like this before, in which case they had no countermeasure or an idea of how this happened. With everyone continuing to calm down the community and trying to help the former seniors prepare to come back to Seabrook High, Revenant got a text from Addison informing them about her being called and learning of what had happened.

"Guys? I think I found out how this happened. And you're not going like it."

Informing them that he found the answer to this chaos happening all of a sudden and it coming from someone they knew. With the expression that he was showing on his face, the three knew that it wouldn't be good and that it would be a misunderstanding. Hopefully whoever caused this turn of events has a good reason for making every senior in Seabrook automatically get another year at Seabrook High.

Later-Seabrook High

With the seniors returning to school in a sad and upset manner, the Z-gang along with Brit and Night wing were huddled together in front of the school where they were looking at the culprit responsible for the mess they were in. A-Spen, who had indecently caused a shift in time and space during their tantrum from the boardwalk about wanting to spend a year with their friends at school.

"Okay. Just to help everyone who doesn't understand the laws of physics and actual science since that got thrown out of the window. A-Spen somehow messed with the whole of time and space to reset senior year."

Eliza summarized the explanation behind the turn of events of what was happening as they looked at A-Spen to see if it was true. The alien leader nodded toward the accusation since they didn't intend to do this, luckily Aerial was by their side to help explain this causality to them since they were trying to wrap their heads around it.

"While there's still much to learn about Stardust Sparkle, including how it reacted to A-Spen's emotions and longing for companionship. It left the energy to respond to my leader and fulfill their desire, ego. Re-Senior Year."

She helps with adding a reason for how it exactly happened since the alien powers had responded to A-Spen's emotions. It was much for the group to take in since they had to repeat the entire senior year again but with new faces and people. Most of them wanted to question if there was a way to reverse it or get things back to them having graduated. Revenant, who would be on the case and finding a solution to the problem seemed alright with the condition they were in.

"Is it a problem?"

He asked everyone who was taken by surprise by the subtle response since Rev wanted to leave high school after experiencing personal issues with his life. The last thing that Revenant would want is to be back here, but he seemed content in doing his senior year again.

"I mean there new classes that are teaching different cultures involving Insectoid and aliens. Meet new people and help them out of unnusual cases, who knows? It'll be fun."

Revenant explained that things were different and they'd be offered new things to learn about at school. In addition, they could experience everything together and have each other's back if anything happened. With that being said, everyone applauded for how he made this situation into a positive moment since they each could try out new things at school since there were now new things to learn.

"I guess that settles it. We're having a Re-Senior Year!"

Zed called out as everyone celebrated with a cheer as they grabbed their belongings before rushing into the school to do their senior year again. The only ones to be left outside were Brit and Night wing who were still nervous about everyone attending school again. This included Brit since she wanted to stay clear of school drama and the ridiculous prep rallies that Bucky would be in charge of.

"Look on the bright side. You don't have to worry about work that much, and have to wear Shrimpy."

Night wing informed her that he would have to take up the responsibility of being the school's mascot, the fighting shrimp named Shrimpy. The girl smirked at that mention as well as decided to handle it in a mature manner since she just needed to pass the classes without being distracted. Before the two could meet with Principal Lee to discuss the latest additions to the school, they heard the sound of tires coming down the street the pair turned to see a familiar vehicle coming their way. It was a van covered in stains and looked like it came from a battlefield, parking in front of the school and the human and fruitpire.

"Where the hell is Revenant!"

Someone called out his name in anger as they recognized who could sound that angry and would leave a path of broken bones in her wake. Cassie Hack, Slayer of Slayers and the only human girl to go toe to toe with Revenant.

"How come out of nowhere where I'm getting back from a hunt. I get a text message from this town about needing to finish my senior year here at Seabrook freaking High!"

She questioned about her needing to enroll since Cassie didn't finish her senior year and was required to earn it. Otherwise, she'd face being arrested and chased after by the authorities. Deciding to not answer and point directly inside to where Revenant and the others were, the raven-haired went to her van and pulled out her book bag filled with supplies since she would be using them on the zombie to get answers about attending school again.

"Does the school need a security guard?"

The driver asked as it was Vlad, Cassie's trusted friend, and muscle who always watched her back along had a big heart. They didn't know how to respond but gave a slight nod of his being more than helpful in keeping tabs on Seabrook High due to how Revenant was right, things would be different this senior year. Whether it was for the better of his class peers, or worse if there was going to be new trouble brewing within the school.
