Telepath Wolf
(Season 2)
Healer
Keep in mind that I do not own Babylon 5 or its characters, so if you recognize any of them, THEY'RE NOT MINE. They are property of WB and Straczynski. (Put in other words: sadly I am not making money out of writing this, I'm only doing it for the pleasure of sharing a piece of my mind with you all)
Please remember that this story is a FEMLASH portraying Susan's and Talia's relationship, if this bothers you, you shouldn't be here, so leave now if you're not comfortable with this fact.
Also remember that Susan is a werewolf, kinda like the ones portrayed in the Underworld movies. You know, strong, virtually immortal, and able to control when they shift.
Once again I altered the timeline to suite my needs for things to flow between them. I however, did not alter the B5 General plot line, so the major events that happened during the series, are still there, some of them with a little twist, but most of them stayed just the same.

Telepath Wolf
(Season 2)
Chapter 39 (65)
Healer
Maher took to train Talia, and to run interference whenever I caught scent of her and tried to approach her, especially after in the most awkward way possible the pack realized that I had turned her against her will; when in a moment of bravery and trust on my part, I chose to bare throat to Talia in front of everyone instead of fighting her as she wanted at the time.
"She still needs time to adjust" Maher would say looking sadly at me.
Aunt Magda would only look disappointed anytime she saw me after that, and not say anything directly at me, unless it was related to the pack or to Yury. Who in turn would look curiously at me and just say "Grown ups are complicated" before running to catch up with friends.
I could not blame any of them; I was disappointed in myself too. Not only did I break a promise to Ganya, but in doing so, I hurt the only person in the universe who I am supposed to protect and keep from any harm coming their way.
My lessons with Ambassador Kosh were now more focused on not letting anger rule me or my actions; and in finding triggers to my telepathic abilities. Kosh himself never mentioned anything about Talia's absence from those lessons, and given his encounter suit, I never could tell if there was anything to the way he looked at me, but I wouldn't doubt it.
Even John, once he figured out what I did just looked at me in shock, shook his head and only managed to get me to stop taking triple shifts at CnC under the promise of drinks after our regular shifts, which to a point were good enough to at least occupy my mind in something else other than the fact that I would go and sleep on a cold and uncomfortable couch opposed to the warmth of my mate's arms on our bed. The silver lining here was, I think, that at least Talia had not moved out from my/our quarters and I chose to take that as a win, because that meant at least, she was processing and did not completely hated my guts. But while she did, I had to choose between adapting my office in Red Sector to be suitable for living, or ending up renting up a place of my own for the time being. I chose the office, too scared to admit I felt that renting a new space, was the same as giving up on my mate.
As the days passed by and turned into weeks, I realized I was eager for any excuse that would get me into an argument or fight, I was even now participating frequently in the Drazi 'confrontations' that were coming to an end soon, and their politics on the station; and the highlights of my days became the 'Daily Booms' of the Station, which mostly consisted in diplomatic issues, and lately, even more so than before, the Centauri and Narn confrontations; so as a result I dreaded the calm.
Lt Corwin and I were as usual at CnC, the difference that particular time was we were covering the night shift, as all senior officers had to rotate to that shift at least once every couple of months.
"No traffic. No complaints. No noise" I mused anxiously. I needed something to do. "Traitors, troublemakers, ambassadors and angry fiancées are all tucked snugly in their little beds" I added resenting it, because then I wanted to be tucked in with Talia
"I love this time of the night" said Corwin cheerily from behind me, leaning on the rail
"There is no night in deep space" I answered leaning back on the chair at my station "And time is a meaningless concept when you think about it" I said thinking about wolf longevity
"Commander the jumpgate's online. I read six ships" said one of the other officers on shift. Pace I believe it was. I stood and read the data on my console while Corwin stood next to me doing the same. And sure enough, ships were coming through.
"They're Earthforce" said Corwin reading their codes
"I'm receiving a Code 10 ultraviolet docking request" continued then Pace
"Inform Captain Sheridan immediately and alert the Docker's guild" I ordered, dreading then Neeoma's reaction to this impromptu arrival. "Luckily for me, there's always something" I said, half thankful to then having something to do
Turns out the ships were commanded by a General Richard Franklin, from the 356th Infantry Division, and surprisingly enough, he was Stephen's dad. His operation was a classified mission, to which senior staff, that being John, myself and Michael, were to be briefed the next morning. However, I was tasked with finding a way to accommodate Twenty Five thousand people on board. Registering all these people and directing them to their assigned quarters proved to be an interesting and long task. I had to make almost all the B5 personnel bunk with at least 2 of the 356sters, which in turn lead to several complaints. I was half tempted to make Talia take me back if only during this lasted, under the pretense that it was either me, or 3 unknown soldiers, I refrained because I knew at the moment she would choose the latter.
"Fall in over there. Someone will take you to your billet" I ordered around signaling to where they should head, trying to make the process as smooth as possible, though as I said earlier, it proved to be interesting to manage.
"Commander" approached me Garibaldi sorting through the traffic of people "Commander!" he tried loudly when I showed no signed of acknowledgment so I briefly looked at him before getting down to my pad to sort that mess out. "What the hell is this?"
"Earthforce calls it a classified operation. The supporting personnel helping out now calls it a nightmare" I told him
"And you? What do you call this?" he asked gesturing around
"Oh, the pre Boom" I said smirking, making him shake his head in amusement "Breifing's at 0900" I told him after a moment
"If we survive all this, you mean to say" he said jokingly, making me shake my head then. "Well, leave it to the infantry to ruin my morning" he complained
"Complain later" I admonished "Right now I need you to seal this area off. Nobody gets in except military personnel"
"You got it" he said as he walked away
A few of hours later I was heading towards John's office for the debriefing along with him and Garibaldi trailing behind us.
"What's our status?" asked John tiredly
"We've doubled, tripled and quadrupled up. And we're still 400 billets short" I informed him, mentally thinking of other options to complete them "Which is nothing compared to what this surprise has done to our docking schedule" I added also trying to mentally sort that out
"Well if you think we've got problems now, wait until those Ground Pounders start hitting the rec areas" said Garibaldi not completely amused by the prospect
"Lay in more security. Post the more colorful spots off-limits. I don't want any incidents" ordered the Captain
"It's already done" conceded Michael as we approached our destination. I could already perceive the scent of at least 5 people "Not that I think it's gonna do us very much good. You know if you ask me I think someone in Earth Dome has gone completely mental" he said as we rounded to enter the office and saw General Franklin and his staff already there.
"That's an interesting opinion" said the General as we entered and stood to attention "At ease" he added
"Sir, this is Commander Ivanova, my second. And Mr Garibaldi, chief of security" introduced us John
"I had an Alfredo Garibaldi under my command during the Dilgar Invasion. Excellent soldier" mused the General
"That was my dad" said Michael proudly
"So much for genetics" muttered the General, making it very hard for me not to snort at that. As it is, I could not hide my amusement "Now if you'll all take a seat, we'll begin" added General Franklin "Frank, if you will" he asked this second who played a crystal video for us "This is Akdor, the third planet in the Sh'lassen Triumvirate. As you're no doubt aware, Akdor is currently engaged in a bloody Civil War" he explained. We knew. We had received messages from both sides requesting assistance. And the Drazi had informed me that they were cutting ties and stopping negotiations with them until their conflict was over and a new cycle began for us. It had actually warmed my heart that they had said for us, clearly including me. I did not know what would happen once the new Drazi cycle began, we were coming close to declare the winner faction at least on the station. The date was approaching, though apparently there was to be a ceremony that I had to study and prepare for, but had not been given the specifics yet. "The Sh'lassen government has asked for aid, and Earth has agreed to provide it" continued the General surprising us with that information
"There must be some mistake General" started John "The Sh'lassen Embassy asked me for aid weeks ago. Earth Dome ordered me to turn them down"
"And until the Senate officially announces our involvement in the Akdor crisis, those are still your orders" said the General
"What exactly is your mission?" I asked him, trying to understand why they stopped by Babylon 5
"Operation Sudden Death is a surgical strike on the rebel stronghold at Matok" he explained "That's why Babylon 5´s been chosen as our staging area" he continued and I understood. We were close to their sector and John was here, he was an asset to this mission. "It's the closest Earth Alliance jumpgate to the Sh'lassen Sector. When the Senate makes its announcement, we'll jump immediately and end the war in one swift move" he said confidently
"With all due respect, general, I spent time at Matok during the Kerani Expedition" started John "It's more than just a fortress, it's a deathtrap"
"And that's another reason for choosing this station. I am counting on you to help me finish planning the assault. With your knowledge of the layout and our new weapons we can catch the rebel leaders completely by surprise"
"Twenty five thousand gropos aren't exactly inconspicuous" said Michael disbelieving what the General said "How do you expect to keep this party a secret?"
"As far as anyone's concerned, we're relief troops for Io." Stated the General "Even my own soldiers don't know any differently and by the time the truth comes out, we'll already be in striking position" and that made me snort.
"Sir, as the Captain said, with all DUE respect, I don't think you would have stupid troopers under your command. How are you explaining coming all the way to B5 if you are headed for Io? Which obviously is closer to Earth than we are?"
"That Commander Ivanova, proves to me that we made the right choice in coming here. You are right. My soldiers are not stupid. And neither are you, even when apparently hot headed, you are a critical thinker." He said, making me pause at my place "We will take a few days of RnR here. Long enough for us to get our gifts in place. Just until the announcement is made."
"Gifts, sir?" I asked him
"New weapons systems for your defense grid" he said smiling softly "The very latest from Earthfoce R and D. When they're online, Babylon 5 will have enough fire power to take on a warship" he added proudly
I could already see the potential of it, especially in the upcoming war with the creatures from Mimbar and Narn legends. I could picture how we would be able to defend ourselves and protect the lives of the people on board the station. John, however, was not thinking long or medium term on that aspect, not yet anyway. "Are you sure this is wise? Babylon 5 is supposed to be devoted to peace. If we begin arming heavily-"
"The galaxy's changing Captain, and Babylon 5 must change with it" said the General rising, to which I agreed "With the Narn and the Centauri at war, the other alien worlds are bound to become more aggressive, and Earth must keep peace." That I thought a little extreme, then again he had been Earthforce probably longer than I had been alive, so whatever Earthforce said, he did not question. "And if all doesn't go well at Matok, my people may need a fallback position" That brought us back to the issue at hand. He was right. And if that happened, and they were followed, we would need defenses in place. "My techs will begin installing the new grid as soon as possible" he then added "Commander Ivanova will handle your end" he ordered unnecessarily seeing as that was part of my duties anyway "I'll meet you here at 1100 to discuss the battle plan… and outside of you three, no one is to be told of this"
"Understood" said John as the three of us nodded our understanding to the order
"Very well, Dismissed"
"this is not good" I told them when we were far away from earshot from the general
"Tell me about it. What the hell is Earth Central up to?" asked John metaphorically
"I told you Michael" I said looking over my shoulder "Here comes the Boom"
While still trying to complete the accommodation disaster, I ended up being creative, and brought about 20 soldiers to the Medlabs
"Dr Franklin" I called for him since he was not facing the entrance
"Yes?" he asked slowly turning towards me. I could feel hostility coming off from him but not directed at any of us in particular, just to something that I couldn't pinpoint and I wouldn't dare to even try to figure it out if he did not offer.
"We are short of space" I said broaching the subject and trying to gauge his reaction "We're going to billet these people here in the infirmary"
"Absolutely not!" he immediately declined, feeling disrespected by the idea "This is a medical facility, not the damn barracks"
"Sergeant, will you please take your people through there?" I asked the Sergeant pointing to a small area on the back "I'll be with you in a minute
"Yes ma'am" he said slightly looking at Stephen's back "You heard the Commander starbutts, Get it in gear! Move it you mutant maggots"
As they retreated to where I pointed them to, Stephen stopped what he was doing, and when he finally looked at me, I just prompted him to speak "Earthforce has no right to come here and disrupt my operation, I have sick people in those beds" he said in a tone that made me believe there was something behind his reaction to my request
"According to the records there are only three patients in the infirmary, and none of them too ill to be moved" I argued back. If he wanted to go through that route, I was more than glad to comply, for now.
"Is that your medical opinion, commander" he asked me sarcastically
"No. It's yours" I told him pointedly "Exactly as stated in the medical log" He buffed and started to walk away, I closely followed "What's the matter with you Stephen? I've never seen you like this before. It usually is me who finds two problems to each solution" I said, pushing a little bit, hoping he would open up to me and tell me what the real problem was so we could work on that and then I could refocus on the missing billets and the new weapons
"It's my father" he said after a moment, finally looking at me
"The General?" I asked for clarification
"Yeah. The General. Old Firestorm" He said sarcastically, and started to pace "Hero of the Canal Wars and liberator of the African bloc, the scourge of Janos 7"
"His record is impressive" I conceded
"Yes yes yes… as a soldier. But as a father…" and I understood then. I definitely could relate. "He always brings out this anger in me I can't control. No matter how I try I always seem to want to hurt him. You know? The funny thing is I DO love him. I just can't talk to him"
"Look, my father brought out much the same feelings in me" I offered "There were so many things I wanted to say to him-" I got interrupted by my comlink "Ivanova"
"They want you at the Dome Commander" said Corwin
"On my way" I answered, as I saw Stephen sigh "Look, I'm sorry. We are up to our butts in jarheads" I said jokingly "I should be free by 1800. You want to meet me at the Eclipse?" I offered then
"Yes" he said softly
I smiled before 'attacking' him with my request "We really do need that infirmary space"
"I will do what I can" he then conceded
A few hours later, after I redirected the incoming traffic that was delayed due to our surprise visitors, and sorted my part in the new weapons installation, I realized it was getting late and headed toward Zocalo to meet Stephen.
There, he told me a story much similar to mine, with the difference been that what for my father was Pack politics, for Stephen's it was Earthforce
"It's always the Force first, everything else a distant second" he explained, feeling terribly upset and nostalgic at that "When we were kids, my sisters and I were not treated like family, we were treated like soldiers!" he complained "He used to say: you should be intelligent enough to let someone else tell you what to do" said Stephen impersonating his father's voice, or trying to, which made me laugh a little at his antics.
"He sounds like a bit of a tyrant" I told him as I perceived Talia's scent somewhere around "Making him the perfect material for a general" I added trying to focus back on him but failing miserably
"Exactly. If you did something wrong or if you questioned his orders… you were afraid he'd boot you out of the platoon and never let you back in. That is of course when he was there" said Stephen
"And when he wasn't?" I asked him in turn
"There was the wait. Terrible wait. After a while I couldn't bare the pain so I went away. Lost myself out in the stars. He wasn't happy about it, didn't talk to me for years" he answered following my line of sight, where Talia was chatting with Jean Christophe. "You both are really stubborn you know?" he asked me then "If it's not one pinning for the other, it's the other way around, or both. And still you can't get your act together long enough to actually be happy!" he said frustrated, standing in a way that was meant to block my view from her. I could see from the corner of my eye that Talia had heard him as clearly as me, and was now looking at me over Jean Christophe's shoulders
"I know" I told Stephen "It is usually me who is at fault" I said truthfully "And right now I don't know how to fix it." I continued "I just don't know what to do in order to be forgiven" I said looking at Talia, hoping she would give a sign that it was still possible for her to eventually forgive me and take me back, but she just clenched her jaw and turned to face completely the other telepath. "I can't undo the pain I inflicted in Talia. And my dad can't undo the pain he inflicted on me. I may not know how to get Talia back yet, but I do know you should talk to your dad Stephen." I told him somberly "Tell him what you feel, no matter how hard it is. I didn't, and I lost the chance. Don't make the same mistake"
"Wait a minute. What are you saying?" he asked confused "These troops are bout for Io, right?" he asked then, grasping what I was not saying
"I have to go back on duty" I told him and walked away, hoping he would heed my advice. As I was walking through the masses of people on Zocalo, I was stopped by Ambassador Delenn
"Commander Ivanova, there seems to be an unusual amount of earthforce soldiers around this evening" she stated, with that subtly asking about it
"They're relieve forcers for a colony on Io" I told her "They came first to deliver something for B5. They'll be gone in a few days" I added sensing in her the same question I posed the General
"Good. I would not want to think that Babylon 5 was becoming an armed Earth camp" she stressed out "The way things are going lately, we need to have someplace safe, and neutral."
"I completely agree" I told her truthfully "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go back on duty"
No sooner than I had turned and walked just a few paces away, I heard the soldiers badmouthing Delenn. I hung back, hoping they would be smart enough to walk away. I was proven wrong. As I approached them taking off and dropping my uniform jacket when they rounded on her, a female soldier beat me to them, and I found my wolf purring at her sight. "Back off Kleist" she commanded pushing one of the men off. She was wolf. She smelt powerful. And she was not Pack. I did not have time to think much about it at the moment because a fight broke out between the three men that were surrounding Delenn and the unknown female wolf. My wolf and I jumped exited into the fight. As was to be expected she was startled when she saw me and I took a punch on the face aimed for her, I smirked and briefly flashed my eyes when she looked at me, when she smiled nodding we fully tag teamed against Delenn's attackers, enjoying it in a way I had not enjoyed even sparring with anyone in the pack.
"What the stroking H is going on here?" came the booming voice of the Staff Sergeant approaching us as we knocked out the last of the aggressors. "Who started this dustup?" he demanded not realizing yet who I was, and focusing only on the men on the floor and female wolf by the wall, while I leaned down to pick up my jacket. "Private Durman?!" he asked addressing the wolf I had teamed up with.
She looked sideways at me, signaling me to not interfere when I took a step on her direction "No one, Sergeant Major" she said
"No one?!" He asked increduly "Are you telling me that this just happened for no cause at all?"
"Yes Sergeant Major" she continued
"These men are unconscious!" he screamed moving one with his own foot, but Durman stayed silent "Well in that case, you and your unconscious friends, will get cozy at the brig" he added. And that is when I chose to step up
"Sargeant. Hold on a minute, will you?" I asked and lead him with me to a corner of the room, to avoid been heard by the rest of the soldiers, though knowing full well that Private Durman would still listen on. "Let it go. Or press charges on me. I jumped at the chance of a fight" I said oddly truthful. He considered what I said and I saw clear denial to my request so I just instinctively spoke up. "Let it go" I ordered in my Alpha voice, or so I thought I did, the surprising thing is that it worked, up until then it only worked on wolves, and barring the one time it did on the Drazi, had never worked on regular humans or other aliens for that matter. He nodded like in a daze and approached the soldiers by Durman, who were starting to stir and rise.
"The Commander has asked me to overlook this little ruckus" he started addressing them "And as this is her turf, I've agreed. But let me catch any of you stepping out of line again…and you'll curse your own mothers for bringing your butts into the light of day" he threatened "Is that clear?"
"Yes Sergeant Major" they all answered in chorus, making me smile.
"Now you get the hell out of here and clean yourselves up. Move it!" he said dismissing them
I looked at Durman and flashed my eyes at her again before walking away. A clear invitation to find me whenever she wanted if she chose to do so. She did not disappoint, I wasn't even halfway back to CnC when she caught up with me.
"Hey!" she called out. But I smiled and kept on walking without even looking back at her. Knowing she would be by my side at any second "Commander" she greeted once she was.
"My name's Susan" I told her still continuing my journey to CnC "Ivanova" I added a moment after
"They call me Dodger" she said introducing herself and flashing her eyes at me then. A gesture of trust. "I just wanted to thank you for having my back out there, and for what you did after. Though I don't think it was just because of our… nature"
"You're right" I told her amused "I saw what was happening with Ambassador Delenn"
"Who's Ambassador Delenn?" she asked confused
"The woman you helped" I told her and I felt her excitement and surprise and dread at the news
"She's an Ambassador?" I nodded "Leave it to Kleist to mess up big time" she said chuckling
"You almost messed up yourself. Taking the fall for that" I told her seriously
"Well, it wouldn't be first time" she said making me smile sadly as my comlink chirped
"Ivanova"
"Commander. We really need you at the Dome" said Pace through the link, making me wonder where was Corwin
"On my way" I told her before addressing Dodger again "I gotta go. You stay out of trouble ok? We are not alone." I warned her looking her in the eye, when she slightly nodded I walked away
"Hey… I'll see you around, right? Susan Ivanova…" she called after me raising her voice as I reached the end of the aisle
"Yes" I said
"Nice butt…kicking" she softly said then in turn, knowing full well I would hear her. I chuckled all the way to the turbo lift, where I found my Mate.
Her nostrils flared when she noticed the excitement and probably the new scent. But she said nothing. So I stayed silent too. I turned to look at her again as I stepped off the lift, her stare hardened and unforgiving still. All the joy my wolf had felt while fighting those guys side by side with another wolf, dissipated knowing that my Mate had not been the cause for said joy.
I was in a bad mood the rest of my shift, to the point that even Corwin, who usually was the one at CnC that tolerated my usual mood swings, had chosen to stay as far away as possible in the small space we had to share at the Dome. On the bright side, it was all as efficient as ever, and we completed the update on the new weapons system to our interface, pending a trial run once the hardware installation outside was completed, which would be by next morning, at least according to General Franklin's engineers.
As I logged off for the day, barring an emergency, I decided to find Michael, knowing from his last report that he was still patrolling Zocalo trying to keep order around there.
"How you doing Michael? All under control around here?" I asked him, half hoping for another confrontation, and half hoping to stumble upon Dodger again
"Oh, what a circus" complained Michael looking around "There's been a few fights, a few dips… nothing major though" he said "Oh… one of the dancers is missing from the Dark Star" he said chuckling. I smirked because the moment he said so, I could smell Dodger closing in on us
"Hey! Ivanova" she called out and in seconds was standing before us "How about showing this pup around your den?" she asked smirking at what she thought was a clever joke
"Oh… sure, my shift just ended" I told her smiling "You good chief? Or would you rather have backup here?" I asked Michael, noticing he was looking oddly at me
"Me and my team can handle it" he said in the end "Anything comes up, I'll link in for you or the Captain" he added shrugging "Have a good time" he then said suggestively
"Thanks!" answered Dodger linking her arm through mine and dragging me away before I could protest
"So, what would you like to see first?" I asked amused
"Best place to eat" she said still smirking
So I took her to one of my favorite places on the station, though first we ordered food to go, to which she was surprised
"Trust me" I told her smiling when she looked confused about my choice.
Once they gave us our order I took her to Grey Sector. There we sat and ate, chatting amicably. She told me she was an Omega, as I had correctly assumed. She was an orphan, raised by the American Foster System, never having a place to call her own. Then she had been turned a couple of months after she joined the infantry division, and her sire, who she had come to view as a paternal figure, had passed away in combat. He had apparently taught her well, seeing as she knew quite well wolf history and customs.
"So, how is this… the best place to eat?" she asked gesturing around when we finished dinner.
I smirked standing up, starting to take off my clothes. "Because now, we can run" I said as I shifted and sprinted away. Not needing to look back to know she in turn had also shifted and was then chasing after me.
We spent our time there chasing each other, tackling into the other every once in a while, wrestling each other off, nipping and biting. Just carelessly playing around. It filled me with such joy, peace and freedom, that I had to shift back to let her know.
"Thank you" I said truly content, chuckling the moment she, still in wolf form, tackled me. I full out laughed when she tried to speak only to realize she couldn't do so at the moment. She growled at me and playfully bit at my ear as she shifted back, choosing to tenderly nibble then, prompting me to hum fully calmed then. And I felt so content and relaxed that I did not even notice her shift until it was too late to stop her from planting a desperate kiss on my lips. I pushed her off as soon as I realized what was happening, completely appalled that this had just happened in the first place.
"What, did I just miss something?" she asked confused
"Yes!" I said sternly "I am mated"
"You don't smell mated" she stated frowning, making me frown in turn
"What do you mean I don't smell mated?" I asked her upset by the implication
"It's just that there is no other scent lingering on you" she said shrugging
"We have not been together in a while" I conceded then, understanding what she meant
"Your mate not one of us?" she asked
"She is" I answered simply
"She not on board then?" she asked genuinely intrigued
"She is" I said sighing "We had a fall out."
"Why? What could be so big that mating instincts would be pushed far back enough to keep your scents from marking each other?"
"I turned her… against her will, in a moment of desperate anger" I confessed and looked away, afraid of looking at Dodger and find disappointment directed at me, just like with the rest of Pack.
"You're an Alpha?" she asked after a moment. I nodded, and chanced a glance at her "Wait a minute… you are THE Alpha?" she asked me then, obviously referring to the Pack on the station, to which I nodded again. "Holly shit!" she said starting to pace in front of me "Well, it makes sense. You command authority quite easily" she said glancing at me but still pacing "And you are really attractive" she added as an afterthought before stopping and standing right in front of me "But you feel this too, right?" she asked gesturing between us, making me nod again "Good" she said coming closer and leaning to once again nibble and whisper in my ear "If I were mated to you, I would never leave your side, no matter what you did" she said making me whimper, aching for my mate to be with me and not leave me ever again "Your mate is a stupid bitch for fighting you instead of fighting for you" she whispered terribly close to my mouth again
And with those words my wolf stirred in anger and lurched at Dodger, managing to pin her down, growling at her face, demanding she submitted and apologized for insulting the Alpha's Mate. She looked angry, but did not shift, she just bared her throat in acknowledgement, which I took as victory and chose to let her go.
"You know what?" she asked me when she stood and got to her clothes while I shifted back and did the same. "I'm a Ground Pounder. I am cleaning latrines one day, the next I might be up to my hips in blood, hoping that I don't hear the round that takes me out. This has been my life forever. You got it? In between, I like to try to see what I can get, to remind myself that I'm alive, even when alone and not part of a Pack, I am still alive! Right… it's not romance and it is not the eternal Mating Bond we all crave, but it's all I got. I'm so sorry if it is not enough for you oh mighty Alpha!" she ranted and left angered herself, and my wolf whimpering at the loss.
My wolf knew that whatever it was that was going on between Dodger and me, was definitely not sexual, nor romantic. And yet, we did not want to lose her, or the connection we had. It felt great to have her around, familiar and comforting, like a part of me I didn't know was missing, similar to... and that is when I understood, even though I thought them stories for the pups, legends of old time. When I arrived to my office in Red Sector, I reached for Scott back on Earth, seeing as he was the one who knew more about this particular legend, than anyone else I could think of. Luckily he was available, and in the end he agreed with me, confirming what this bond I had with Dodger was.
Next morning once the Weapons Grid installation was finally done, John and I did our rounds together through the station, bumping upon the Marines many times.
"Jarheads" said John shaking his head once a group of them passed trotting in front of us right before we reached CnC
"We're back on schedule in the docking bays, though Neeoma, I mean, Ms Connally, is not happy about the hours her workers had to put it" I informed John
"See if we can get them some time off later, with pay" suggested John "How's the new defense grid coming?"
"Installation was fully completed this morning, we are expecting to complete test runs through the day" I told him, then I got excited and showed him the schematics on the screen at my station "It's quite impressive actually. Pulse cannons. Interceptors. Mine Launchers." I told him pointing each part out "And a tracking system that's ten times faster than our old one. The General wasn't kidding when he said we could take on a warship"
"Let's just hope we don't have to test that" said John grimly before walking out.
"I kinda want to test it" I said looking longingly at the schematics before sighing and closing them in favor of focusing on my tasks for the day. By lunch time, when we had successfully completed the test runs, I received message from Dimitri, and another one from Aunt Magda, Dimitri wanted me to come to the infirmary at my leisure and not to worry seeing as no one was there, and Magda needed to urgently speak to me. It worried me that none of them told me or even hinted about what could have been. So as I was headed to Dimitri, because medlab was closer to the Dome, I was called back to the Dome because we had an urgent message coming in for the General.
He received his orders, his people were to be deployed immediately. So I had to push my concerns regarding Magda and Dimitri for now in order to do my job.
John, Michael and I were overseeing the departure procedures from the bays.
"Good luck sir" said John "I hope I was wrong about Matok"
"Well, these are good men and women, brave people" started the General "So one way or the other, we'll get the job done" he then offered his hand for John to shake "Captain, thanks for your help" when John let go, the general turned to me "Commander" he acknowledged. And with a clear dismissal we walked away leaving him to speak with Stephen. I however took a moment to try and find Dodger because I definitely did not want her to leave the station upset like she did the night before.
"Hey" she said getting out of boarding formation to nudge me when she sensed me.
"Hey yourself" I told her back noticing then that she had a bruised eye "What happened to you?" I asked tilting her head to get a better look.
"No one told you?" she asked surprised, making me frown "Oh…" she paused hesitating "Bar fight" she settled with "After I left you"
"Must have been a hell of a fight for you to still be sporting that shiner" I told her amused.
"yeah… about that." She said smirking "It was with a couple of wolves" she whispered
"You all ok?" I asked her now thinking that this might have been the reason Magda and Dimitri wanted to see me
She nodded "Listen, about last night" she said then gesturing between us "I'm sorry" she added "I know better than to disrespect someone's mate or the Mating Bond itself" she said truly sorry "I just sometimes want things too bad, you know?" I nodded in understanding "Especially when…"
"When what?" I asked her when she stopped herself
"When I feel as strongly as I do right now" She added smiling softly "I know it's not mating, but there is a bond here" she said moving to place her hand on my chest, right above my heart "And I just don't want to let go of it, not without a fight"
I took her hand in mine and nodded at her "You don't have to let it go" I told her "You are, if you wish so, part of my Pack now. And even if you decline that offer, you will always be welcome to visit us. Wherever I am, you will always have a home to come back to" I told her softly looking into her eyes "This bond, I think it means we are Nalalaki. And one of my Elders agrees" she looked surprised at me, but smiled so broadly that I couldn't help but smile widely back
"I'll see you when I come back then, my Nalalaki" she said holding me in a tight hold. And I remembered, there was a big chance she would not make it back, so I chose to break protocol
"You are not going to Io, you are headed to Akdor" I whispered in her ear, holding her tight myself "Please, stay safe, promise you won't do anything crazy"
"I promise" she whispered back.
"Private Durnman…" called the Sergeant Major approaching us "would you care to join us?" he asked half amused seeing us still embracing but both looking at him
"Yes sir" she answered stepping away and ready to collect her discarded dufflebag. Just as she was about to get back in line she decided to come back and tackle me to the floor, holding me tight and taking a deep breath before whispering in my ear "Don't ever stop fighting for your mate" she said.
"Private Durman!" called again the Sargeant. And with a brief kiss to my cheek, she rose, helping me stand up and finally joined the line. The Sergeant Major could not hide his amusement at our antics, probably thinking that this looked an awfully lot like lovers saying goodbye.
I headed then to speak with Aunt Magda, dreading what she would have to say about the wolf that attacked the pack, as I expected her to phrase it; and so far I didn't know who the fight involved.
"I did not know I had a stupid Alpha" she said nonchalantly as a greeting. "Never knew a stupid Ivanov for that matter" she added
"I beg your pardon?" I asked confused at her outburst
"Stubborn, yes, definitely. But a stupid Ivanov is new" she said still not clarifying and clearly ignoring my question "How in the world did you even manage to convince your wolf to let you do it?" she asked then looking offended
"Do what?" I asked still not understanding what this was about
"Cheat on your mate?" she asked nonchalantly, making me fiercely growl at her
"How dare you question my bond?" I asked in anger still growling and holding her a few inches off the ground by the lapel of her blouse
"Me?" she asked staring defiantly back "You are the one who was rolling around naked and being intimate with a wolf that was definitely not your mate! Her scent is still fresh all over you!" she accused
"Dodger?" I asked pausing in my growling "I talked to Scott about it. She's my Nalalaki!" I rebbuted "And never, ever question my loyalty to my Mate again. You may be blood Magda, but I will kill you if you even hint at me dishonoring my Mate ever again!" I growled taking my time in letting her go "SHE is EVERYTHING to me and the fact that you have had her back all this time, is the only reason I am not banning you for your offense" I said upset and hurt by the lack of trust my own blood showed in this matter.
It didn't occur to me to ask her how she knew about the time I spent with Dodger, I probably should have, that way I may have been able to avoid at least one more heartache and explained it all to Talia, instead of respecting her wish of me staying away.
Next evening there were a lot of people hanging around Zocalo, all of us completely focused on the ISN report. With Stephen standing tense on my right, I noticed that Talia was somewhere around too, something that at least gave me some comfort.
"Since last night's surprise announcement that the Senate was officially giving military aid to the planet Akdor, we have learned that the first phase of this mission, dubbed Operation Sudden Death, is complete" said the ISN reporter before relying the feed to the local anchor at Akdor.
"This is Tonia Wallace reporting live from Akdor, where the 356th Infantry Division has just assaulted the rebel stronghold at Matok. The fighting was reported to have been very intense" she said while the screen changed to show feed recorded earlier, previous to that report. "I'm here now with General Richard Franklin, commander of the 356th" I could feel and hear Stephen's relieved sigh when his father appeared on screen ready to answer to the questions that the ISN anchor posed, when I turned to him he was smiling freely "General, can you tell us the results of the battle?" we heard as Stephen reached for my hand, in silent thanks for the support.
"Our troops have gained control over the fortress at Matok" started to explain the General "Most of the leaders of the rebellion have either been killed or captured and we expect the complete surrender of all the rebel forces very shortly"
"Then you consider this a victory?"
"Yes" sighed the General "But at a very high-" he however did not finish that because he was interrupted by a soldier who approached him and informed him of something else, no one could guess what it could have been. "I'm needed elsewhere" he said then dismissively to the anchor and promptly left
"We will be continuing the live coverage throughout the day. For now, this is Tonia Wallace, ISN, signing off" concluded anchor.
Michael approached me then, as the crowd started to disperse around Zocalo "First casualty reports are in from Akdor" he told me "you said you wanted to see them" he added offering me the pad he had in his hands
"Yeah" I said squaring my shoulders before taking the offered device and looking through the list. Less than a minute later I gave him the pad back and walked away. I am not sure how, but I ended up in my quarters, sobbing and whimpering at the loss, curled in my mate's arms, drawing all the comfort I could from that, however that comfort did not last for long. She questioned me over my grief for what she described as a whore with whom I had cheated on her. So hurting by the loss of my Nalalaki whom I had just found, and defeated and heartbroken by my Mate believing I could ever be with anyone other than her, I left again. Not even bothering to argue, definitely not quite ready to fight for her or her forgiveness.
I was debating whether to go the bar and drown all the pain away, or if I could take a fighter out for a few hours, just to decompress… or maybe, go back down to the planet and howl for hours, to try and let go of the pain. The decision was partially made by someone else before I had even a chance to completely consider each option. Lt. Corwin contacted me to let me know that there was an unusual energy surge coming from Epsilon 3, and my heart stopped for a moment, fearing that my mate and the pack could be once again in danger along with the station due to this situation so I stored my pain away to grieve at another time, and headed to the Dome to assess that particular possible Boom.
As soon as I completed my scans and analysis, I knew I had to contact John and inform him to better discuss our options.
"Captain, I just wanted to let you know we are picking up unusual signals from the planet below" I told him through the Babcom system, and that was as far as my report on that went because said system went down at that moment.
Later on, I learned that it was due to the Mimbari who stayed to man the planet's defense system, Draal, who had also given me almost unrestricted access to run freely on the planet's surface. It was not common that I went down to Epsilon 3 for runs, or at least it wasn't before the falling out after I turned Talia in anger. So whenever no one in the pack was available or willing to spar, and the alcohol did nothing to numb me, I ended up taking a small unsanctioned transport to the planet and once there, I shifted and ran to burn up all my pent up energy and anger. Draal's image appeared in front of me once, looked sternly at me and told me "Do not destroy anything on your runs" before he disappeared. Whenever I was down there I could perceive different scents, so I knew there were some type of habitants on the planet other than Draal, but I hadn't been able to catch sight of them, and honestly did not try too hard to do so.
It didn't really surprise me that the Captain got a personal invite from Draal to come on an official visit down to the planet, and an open invitation for two more apparently.
Of course, once Mr Garibaldi, as Security Chief of the Station, was informed about the invitation, he was opposed to the idea.
"We still have to make sure first that this message is what it appears to be" he said
"Of course it is" argued Delenn, "Do you think I would not recognize my old teacher?"
"Well, to be fair Delenn, he didn't look exactly the same as he does on the station records" added John
"No" Said Delenn "He looks stronger, more fit… just as he did when he was my mentor"
"But there's always the chance someone might send bogus messages" argued Michael
"But why?" asked Delenn, already annoyed by the fact that no one was going anywhere yet
"To get the both of you on a ship headed to a planet, which if I remember our last warning ended up with being shot down or otherwise scattered over the landscape" answered Garibaldi pointing at John and Delenn without missing a beat
"Draal would never do that" argued back Delenn "I know him too well"
"Well that was before he went into that machine, who knows what he's like now. And that's assuming he's the one who sent the message in the first place" continued Garibaldi. These two were giving me a headache, none wanting to back off, both believing to be right in their assumptions. I however would have to side with Delenn, Draal did not once try to harm me when I went down to the planet, so offering an invite just to harm the Captain and a friend of his from before the Planet, was an absurd notion. Then again, it was an absurd notion that any wolf would harm their mate, and there I was, living proof of how the absurd ended up being the truth.
"You're oddly quiet" said John addressing me
I sighed before answering. I was too tired from the previous days with the station overflown with surprise guests. And had not really had the chance to sleep yet or to fully grieve for the loss of my Nalalaki "We just finished our latest scan on Epsilon 3 right before you asked me to join you here" I told them after gathering my thoughts "The message came from three miles inside the surface. It is genuine all right"
"Why did you not say so before?" asked me John a little on edge himself
"It is amusing to see how Garibaldi goes all Russian on us. Expecting the worse and listing all things that could go wrong for future reference" I told them grimacing remembering that is exactly what I told Jeff we Russians do, last time we faced the Epsilon Boom
"Well, that settles it then" Said Delenn excited
"He's made the invitation and I don't see how I can say no" added John "I mean, we're next door neighbors, and he is right, it's about time we got to know each other"
"Well, I'd feel a lot more comfortable with the situation if you'd let me send a security team with you" added Garibaldi
"He told me I could only bring two other, and that I would know who he was referring to" he said looking at Delenn and then myself
According to John, Draal had said that he would know, because he visited one and the other just visited him down there without previous notice. John correctly assumed it was Delenn who Draal had visited earlier, and that it was me who went down on a semi regular basis anyway.
"I'm ready to depart whenever you are Captain" said Delenn smiling softly
And with that, the three of us left a very unhappy Security Chief while we went on a small transport shuttle down to the planet.
"Ambassador, are you sure you know where you're going?" I asked Delenn who was taking point in our 'search' for Draal
"Of course" she answered confidently "I have an excellent memory"
"You're positive?" asked John wary. Likely due to his sense of smell being assaulted by such different and new scents, including the still mysterious inhabitants of this place
"Abso-fraggin-lutely, dam it" answered Delenn without missing a beat, making us stare at her "I have been studying your use of language." She said looking at me, before then turning to address John "Do you approve Captain?"
"Well… we… we'll talk about it later" stuttered John as we reached a bifurcation "Uh, left or right?"
"Left. I believe" said Delenn less confident than a few minutes before, making me chuckle.
After a couple of minutes, we arrived at the core of the Planet Defense System, where I had been over a year before along with Commander Sinclair, right before we thought we would lose the station and everyone else on board.
"Good Lord!" said John as amazed as I was the first time I had been there "I may not go home" he added as we crossed that bridge and headed towards where Draal was connected to the Planet itself
"Draal, we are here" greeted Delenn
"Did you think I hadn't noticed, my old friend" Asked Draal's astral projection form approaching us "You've changed" he added looking closely at Delenn "I like it" I could see John staring at Delenn too, and smiling fondly at her. Clearly, he liked it too. "Captain, I have watched you since your arrival" continued Draal now addressing John "At first I wasn't sure about you, but your XO thinks highly of you" he said glancing briefly at me "and your decisions have been wise, your attitudes commendable, and your patience vaster than mine would be under similar circumstances" he continued
"Thank you" started John only to be interrupted
"I'm not finished yet. I can barely stand it when she comes here" he said now completely staring at me, and I could feel Delenn's surprise at those words "How you manage with her whole 'lot' of misfits?" he asked John in what I determined was a fondly tone
"Well, Susan here is the exception; she is the worst of her lot. So once you get past that and learn how to 'cope' with her antics, the rest are easy to deal with" answered John smirking
"Draal, old friend, can you tell us why you summoned us?" asked Delenn
"Since taking up residence in the heart of this machine, I have explored its secrets" started to explain Draal "learned and discovered that I can look into distant worlds. See and hear things you cannot begin to imagine. Along the way, I've learned some things about you Captain, the loss of your wife. I know Delenn has told you about the coming darkness" he continued making Delenn look uncomfortably at me
"Oh, don't mind me" I assured them "I can pretend to know, or not know what you're talking about. Whatever suits you" I told the three of them "I can even go back to the shuttle if you wish, god knows I am too tired right now to think clearly anyway"
"I'm sorry you are grieving after the news you received earlier" said Draal sympathetically, making me wonder how the planet actually worked in order for him to be able to know so much "No need to leave. Yes. There is a reason for me to let you run rampant here. You need it" Said Draal looking sternly at me "You however should learn to control your temper, or darkness will end up consuming you." He warned me and waited for me to nod "Pretend to know for now." then he turned to John and continued "I also have learned about your role in, shall we say, a conspiracy of light aimed at your own government"
"I don't know what you're talking about" said John trying to dissuade Draal and Delenn from that idea
"Yes you do." Said Draal while Delenn stared at John "Please Captain, don't worry. Your secret, as many others including that of Commander Ivanova and hers, are safe with me. They would have to dig down three miles into the surface of this planet to learn what I know. And no one who tried by force would survive the attempt" John looked Delenn, and then at me, silently asking us if we thought we could trust Draal as he preached. I nodded slightly hoping it was enough to ease his worries at least "And now I have seen enough" then added Draal "I said a while back that this planet was to be left alone until the time was right. That time has arrived. Now that I know the full capabilities of this place I am prepared to place them at your disposal."
"Are you proposing an alliance?" asked John
"One of the first. There will be more to come" answered Draal "This has been a hard and trying year for you both" he said looking at me, then at John "It might be helpful to know that you're not alone and that in the long twilight struggle which lies ahead of us there is the possibility of hope"
I do not know what his words caused on John, but they did give me hope that maybe I could fix things with Talia, maybe she would find it in herself to forgive me and let me go back to her, even when not immediately, at least eventually. And I had to hold onto that, or as he said, Darkness would end up consuming me. And with that frame of mind, I headed, to the shuttle to give John and Delenn time to talk with Draal and for me to recompose myself and avoid any sign of weakness that may have appeared with his words.
Just as I had the shuttle ready, John and Delenn rushed in telling me that Draal had sent them off because he received a distress call and knew we would be needed back on B5 for that.
Turns out he was right. There had been a massive attack, all out offensive from the Centauri on the Narn Homeworld. As we reached the Station, we received the news and as one could have assumed, there were riots all around B5. The Main Narn Fleet had been neutralized and Narn Homeworld was by then completely encircled by the Centauri.
Garibaldi asked for authorization to lock down the station, he ended up having to close off traffic between levels and it was implemented a temporary rule to break up groups larger than 5. By the time I reached my post at the Dome, Lt. Corwin had already posted a general alert telling anybody without urgent business to stay inside until that situation was over.
As was to be expected from the Narns, its government refused to surrender even after several days of continued planetary bombardment on their Homeworld. Security teams on board the station were not enough to completely control the riots and fights between the Narn and Centauri on board. My pack was working alongside with the Drazi again in order to keep some semblance of control when a fight sprouted around them.
Communication to the Narn Homeworld was already hard to accomplish due to the previous attacks, and now it was nearly impossible. We hadn't heard from Louba and Ha'Rok since the Planetary Bombardment started and everyone in the pack was beginning to get antsy not only due to the lack of news, but also from confinement to the station seeing as it had become harder to schedule runs on the nearby planets due to lack of available ships.
On an unexpected turn of events, Ambassador G'Kar reached for John and requested sanctuary, only a few hours before Ambassador Mollari arrived back on the Station and requested to convene a meeting of the Babylon 5 Advisory Council and the League of Non Aligned Worlds. During said meeting he stated that the conflict had come to an end and that the Narn Regime had offered a complete and unconditional surrender.
"The terms imposed by the Centauri Republic, are as follows:" he said proudly "One. The Ruling body known as the Kha'Ri will be disbanded and its members subject to arrest and trial for the commission of war crimes against the Centauri" he said staring at G'Kar who was indeed a member of the Kha'Ri and at the time, silently seething on his seat.
"Earth requests the right to send observers to these hearings" immediately said John
"That request is denied" rebutted Londo "Two. To prevent further acts of terror by the Narn against our people from this day on, the penalty for the murder of any Centauri by any Narn will be the execution of 500 Narns, including the perpetrators own family" he continued, making all of the aliens present to stare aghast at him. "Three. A provisional ruling council, appointed by my government will take up the responsibility of rebuilding a more civilized Narn government as a Colony of the greater Centauri Republic."
"Is there anything else?" asked John, in a sarcastic tone once Londo paused
"Yes. Just one thing." said Londo pacing the room towards G'Kar "Because the Narn Homeworld is now a protectorate of the Centauri Republic, we reserve the right to determine who can speak for Narn. As a result, Ambassador G'Kar may no longer represent the Narn in any official capacity whatsoever. His appointment as ambassador to Babylon 5 is hereby withdrawn. And as the only member of the Kha'Ri still at large, Citizen G'Kar will return to Narn for trial."
"I'm afraid that's not possible" said John calmly and confidently standing up to face Londo "Prior to this meeting, Ambassador G'Kar asked for Sanctuary on Babylon 5." He said taking pride into the confused look Londo sported at that time "As it is within my province to make such decisions, I agreed."
"Surrender by all members of the Kha'Ri is stipulated in the Narn-Centauri agreement" said Londo stubbornly
"Oh I'm sure it is, but I didn't sign that agreement Ambassador" said John "Neither did Earth"
"As cosponsor of Babylon 5, the Mimbari government supports this decision" said Delenn standing up too. "The neutrality of this station applies even to the wishes of the Centauri. Citizen G'Kar may remain here for as long as he chooses."
"Face reality Ambassador Mollari, if your government is serious about all these rules, you're going to need someone here whom all the other Narn will recognize as credible" said John trying to appeal to Londo's logical thinking.
"If this is your decision then I cannot stop you" said Londo "Nevertheless, at this moment G'Kar is no longer an official representative of Narn and must be removed from this council" argued Londo
"We will wait until-" started John
"NOW!" Demanded Londo interrupting the Captain in what most would perceive as a tantrum.
We all could see John fighting with his self control, Londo being stubbornly determined and G'Kar painfully swallowing his pride as he came to a decision. He slowly rose from his seat and without really looking him in the eye, addressed Londo and the rest of the council. "No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once, we will teach it to them again." Then he slowly turned to Londo "Though it take a thousand years, we will be free" after those words, he walked out of the Council Chambers, head held high. Earning even more respect from the other Ambassadors than he already had.
Once John escorted G'Kar to his quarters and as he told me, offered him whatever resource John had to help out G'Kar and the Narn, I was asked by Ambassador Delenn to get John to a meeting with her.
"Captain, Ambassador Delenn has asked to see you. She's in the conference center" I informed John through his Comlink, as I signed off for the day. Completely sure, thanks to Oscar and Nikita being there at the time, that he was going to meet or at least learn, about the Anla'Shok on that meeting. Eventually they would officially let me know, so I was not concerned about that. However I was concerned about my mate, so I headed to my quarters just to try and see Talia again.
"What do you want?" she asked me at the threshold, looking as angry and upset as I had last seen her
"I wanted to see you," I told her softly "Make sure you're alright" I added immediately regretting my words when I saw the scowl on her face at them.
"I have not gone and locked myself with a dying species again if that is what you are asking. Nor have I gone into a reckless fight with an unknown wolf." She said with hatred in her voice, making me cringe.
"I just want to talk with you" I told her
"Now you want to talk?" she asked defiantly "You could have stayed and explained to me, but no, you had to just up and go. So, just leave Susan"
"Are we really back to that Talia?" I asked her, in the same way she asked me so many months ago "Couldn't we at least try to work things out?" I continued, recalling her exact words that time. When I saw she was recalling the same memory, I plunged in, hoping to finally get through to her. "I still love you" I told her sincerely
"Well, if anything, we learned love is not enough" she concluded
"Will you ever be able to forgive me" I asked her defeated.
"I don't know" she said as she closed the door on me.
As the days miserably continued, I learned from the twins that G'Kar was somewhat preaching at Zocalo, trying to gain supporters for the Narn cause against the Centauri. Not many aliens agreed with what he preached, and not many believed him when he said that the Centauri would not only settle with conquering the Narn, but eventually would try to conquer the other Worlds in the Galaxy. We did not know it, but G'Kar did, and we all should have listened closely to his words, from the beginning. After all, he is the only one who openly said that nothing ever is at it appears. G'Kar's words were fruitless at Zocalo with other races, but they did inspire and gave hope to the Narn on board Babylon 5, so we let him.
A/N: Yes yes… I took Dodger out from Michael, I know… Not what we wanted, but once again Susan is doing whatever she wants, opposed to what I originally tell her to…
And yes, Talia seems to be uncharacteristically stubborn now. Just remember she is a wolf now, and between her teep and teek abilities along with her wolf abilities, she is still adjusting and trying to understand it all. As we know from last chapter, she already forgave Susan, just not herself yet, and I think that is what is keeping her from Susan at this point, she does not feel she deserves it. We will explore more on that later on
Also, sorry, not finished yet with this Season, for certain next Chapter will be TW Season 2 finale, using Divided Loyalties from Susan's POV
Now… I think this is the longest chapter ever, right? Probably because we covered two full canon episodes opposed to just one, or half of one as usual. Truth is I am excited about the Control situation, almost finished writing my take on Susan's view of Divided Loyalties and therefore, this came out, so I could focus on Control…
Remember to leave your reviews… they nourish my imagination.
