"Rocke honey, you haven't finished your meal compared to Piper who ate everything includihg her bell peppers." Rocke heard Kimi saying. It was early evening and Kimi, Piper and Rocke were having dinner but Rocke scowled seeing bell peppers which he didn't like eating and Kimi didn't get it despite knowing lil kids and vegetables didn't mix making a face making Piper giggle. "Mommy bell peppers are disgusting you should get that. Even John's mommy wouldn't do this to him if he grew up here." he told her making Kimi sighing seeing him go off with Piper as she was cleaning plates knowing it was just Rocke being a kit hoping that given time, he might like bell peppers.
In their room, Rocke and Piper were playing only Piper was deciding not to bother him about why he didn't like bell peppers knowing it was almost bath time so they could relax and put the dinner dilemma behind them seeing Kimi coming in telling them it was bath time making them both excited going into the bathroom getting into the bath and it was relaxing them relieving Kimi as she knew things would be okay and not to stress about the issue Rocke was havihg but after getting out and drying off then getting into pyjamas playing for a bit only Rocke then saw a rose pink butterfly making him impressed.
"Don't you see the butterfly. It's in front of you." Rocke said confused.
"It's okay Rocke, as I'm not her IF but yours. A lot of kids have IFs as we help kids cope with big changes and feelings." it said in a Liverpool accent which delighted him naming it John making Piper impressed knowing about IFs sensing Rocke needed an IF plus Kimi had revealed Rocke had always wanted a brother since he was born an only kit which he'd told her a while ago when they'd talked about family as he'd asked Kimi why he didn't look like her if she was his mom whichhad made her flustered but found a way to explain yawning which surprised Kimi but also Piper guessing the day's events had caught up to him following them to have a bedtime snack feeding John which made Kimi excited and Piper confused as Kimi explained
"Ohhhhh I get it but what is yoyrs, Rocke." she asked him.
"A rose pink butterfly, he apoeared while we were playing." he told her. Piper understood as Rocke yawned after having a bedtime snack as they were following Kimi back to their room as Kimi was telling them a stiry then tucking him and Piper into their beds kissing their heads seeing them out like lights as she left their room knowing in a few days they'd be starting school so hoped they'd be okay especially Rocke.
The next morning, bith Rocke and Piper were awake and were hungry so getting up and leaving the room plus John his IF was on his shoulder after tucking John and Yoko into bed relieving Kimi as sometimes it took some convincing to get Rocke out of bed in the mornings noticing he was quiet which bothered her even though he to,told her he was fine just thinking relievuhg her. "Maybe your IF can go to school with you and help you feel comfortable like me." Piper told Rocke as they sat at the kitchen table seeing Kimi making toast this morning instead of cereal guessing Kimi felt like making toast.
"Yep, John told me that too, Pipey, you're givibg that weird look, is everything okay." Rocke said. Piper knew when they first met, he couldn't say her name so said Pipey but now he was talking better, she didn't like the nickname but didn't want tomhurt his feelings hoping he'd get the hint unaware John got it whispering into Rocke's ear.
"Sorry Piper as John said you don't like that nickname." he mumbled making Piper smile squeezing his paw gently making Kimi wonder what had happened but Rocke just smiled eating toast
