Chapter 2:Round 2
"...Now come."
At his provocation, Mash put her shield Infront of her, making sure it covers her whole body, then with all her strength dashed towards the man.
As a counter, 'Caster used his strange magic slashes at the shield, however they did nothing to either damage it or slow down Mash's march, instead he waited till there was a 1 meter distance separating him and the incoming wall of steel and then instantly jumped forward to the left to attack her from the sides, but instead of seeing the defenseless figure of Mash, he saw the same cross shaped shield that was, and is still heading towards him, apparently Mash had sensed the instant he jumped and quickly stopped her attack to turn her shield towards him and then continue it. Again he tried to side step her but failed as the shield was still facing towards him, so this time he jumped backwards to widen the distance between them, then with his arrogant smile still intact he made a comment.
"You're being a lot more aggressive, are angry about your precious little master being hit?"
Mash's answer was simply sprinting towards him once again, like expected he dodged the attack in the same way and tried to counter attack only to be blocked and forced to jump back by the shield once again, but this time instead of waiting for Mash to come at him, he took the initiative and ran towards her at a speed faster than her previous rushes, his forearms and hands were covered in that strange blue energy from earlier and by using the momentum of his dash he hit the shield with the palms of his hands, causing it to lift both Mash and the shield off the ground.
Taking advantage of Mash quite literally floating, he tried to grab the shield to throw it away, fortunately he didn't have to do that because the shield itself came crashing down on him, courtesy to Mash kicking it from the other side, and for a split second Caster actually had a surprised face, but it quickly turned into a grin as he managed to stop the shield with his hands before it hit his face, and then threw it behind him to make sure Mash can't get it.
After a while he could finally see Mash, she had landed safely on the ground while he threw the shield, and now was standing Infront of him with her fist clenched, with her eyes shining brightly while glaring at Caster, who by the way, was also standing infront of her except he was a lot more relaxed and had an amused expression on his face.
"Well? are you just gonna stand there? I still want to see how strong that resistance of yours is."
For a bit, all he got for an answer was silence until for the first time in their battle, Mash spoke.
"...Why?"
His not even wavering once, he casually responded with:
"Don't know."
Her anger was now replaced with confusion and shock.
"Wh-What!?"
"I already told you, didn't I? I am killing you for no particular reason."
Never mind, back to anger she goes.
"That's it? you're willing to doom all of humanity..."As her voice grew louder, so did the shine in her eyes"..for no particular reason!?"
At her words, Caster raised an eye brow and his smile disappeared, instead he seemed to be...confused.
"...What do you mean by 'doom all of humanity'?"
Ok maybe shock and confusion is winning this one for Mash.

Author's note:Ok this one is a really short one mostly because I still haven't fully planned what happens next.
