Chapter 21: The Evening

It was the evening.

Hoppy was at her house, looking at photos of herself, KickinChicken and DogDay when they were young. She sighed.

"Damn…" She said, "We really let our egos slide, didn't they, Kicken?"

Hoppy's phone then started to ring. She gasps as she gets her phone. It was from KickinChicken.

"Shit! Ok, ok, calm down, Hoppy!" Hoppy said to herself, "Just… Try to talk some sense with your boyfriend about this whole thing!"

Hoppy took a deep breath as she answered the call.

"What's up, babe?!" She said, "How's it going?!"

CatNap and DogDay were about to eat takeout for dinner today in their apartment.

"Alright, some chicken pasta for me and some shrimp pasta for you!" DogDay said as he hands CatNap a container of shrimp pasta,

"And some bread sticks." CatNap said as he got himself a bread stick,

"Yup, can't forget them!!"

"By the way, who's turn is it to watch their favorite reality show?"

"You're turn, because last week you chose what to eat and I chose what to watch, so now it's vice versa."

"Oh, ok, let's see what's good to watch while eating some takeout pasta…"

Back to Hoppy as she was back home on the phone with KickinChicken.

"Hey, listen, Kickin." She said, "I… I want to tell you something… It's about… What we're doing with our… friends. …No, not HoldenHowler. …You know… …CatNap? DogDay? …Bubba?"

Bobby was at home as she looked at a picture of herself and PickyPiggy and sighed.

"Damn it, I still haven't confessed my feelings to you, Picky…" She said, "Ughhh! The urge to wait for feelings like this! I… I don't love it!"

PickyPiggy was at home, eating a rotisserie chicken she bought from the supermarket.

"...This always feels weird to eat chicken since KickinChicken is also one…" She said, "But then again, I do remember that time where he told me that can eat meat as well, but it can't be raw or else he'll… perish…"

PickyPiggy was confused.

"Why did he say perish?" She wondered as she then sighed, "Whatever, it ain't a big deal."

Hoppy was still on the phone with KickinChicken.

"Look, I feel like this isn't what we want our future to be about!" She said, "CraftyCorn may or may be dead after that sacrifice and it took a toll on all of us!"

Hoppy raised an eyebrow.

"Come on, you know how I always feel every time when something we thought would go smoothly, but went wrong." She said, "You always asked if I was ok, and I said yes, but really I wasn't! This whole thing isn't the best idea after all!"

Hoppy then had a surprised look.

"No, Kickin, please!" She said, "You gotta understand! Don't hang up!"

The call ended. Hoppy sighed frustratingly.

"Goodnight, I guess." She said as she put her phone aside and grabbed a pillow to throw it on the floor.

Hoppy then laid on her bed and face palmed.

"DAMN IT!" She shouted,

Hoppy then got up and looked at her deck of Duel Monsters cards. She was silent as she went over to check out her deck.

"...Ok, time to change up." She said, "From tomorrow onward, I'm gonna be a new Hoppy HopScotch, and no one's gonna stop me!"
