Chief of State of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances Leia Organa-Solo was leaving her dressing room and heading over to the kitchen in her spacious, beautifully decorated and luxurious arranged apartment in one of the most high class apartment buildings on Coruscant , and probably in the whole the galaxy.
Her husband, former Smuggler and retired General Han Solo was sitting at the dining table, having breakfast and reading the Coruscant Daily.
The Princess, who also was a Jedi, had to smile. Who would have thought that the infamous daredevil Han Solo would ever have such a profane morning like this.
"Hey! That's that woman, that I saw yesterday at the elevator after I left your office."
Leia rounded the table and took a look into the newspaper, on the gossip page there were two pictures of a couple and the headline read "The Forces hottest new Item! Who are they?".
"That's Rei Hino, the Senator of Sol System, the newest Member of the Senate." Leia's eyebrow shot up.
One picture showed Rei and SunTzu side by side in their uniforms and smiling and the other showed the kiss they did bent down.
"And her boyfriend, a Starfighter Ace and… the alleged man the prophecy is about."
"Which prophecy?" Han asked and took a sip of his coffee, before his eyes widened.
"Oh, that prophecy? But he really doesn't look anything like the prophecy states. Just a normal guy and they look like just a young couple in Love. Maybe someone got something wrong there. Hokey prophecy or something."
Leia sighed, some things would never change.
"At least it is good to see, that Coruscant and the Galaxy already got introduced to Senator Hino. I can imagine that this young woman will become real popular with the common people. And she's honest, hardworking and competent. Maybe finally a light in the void the Senate has become."
"Politicians." Han just shrugged. "Almost all of them are slacking. Present company excepted."
"Talking about slacking. Shouldn't you get going as well? I'm pretty sure the Jedi Strike Team is already waiting."
"I thought patience is a virtue of the Jedi?"
Leia stared him down.
"Fine, I'll get going. Pick up those Jedi and bore myself to death all the way to the Maw and back."
"Better that then what we actually expect in the Maw. And don't forget your old friend Kyp Durron is coming along."
"Yeah, in his snub. So I can't even play some sabacc against him."
"Sabacc against a Jedi Master?"
"You know I like challenges your highness."
The newly appointed Senator of Sol System and therefore Earth woke up stretching herself out and yawning, eyes still half-closed.
SunTzu had left a few hours earlier for the last day of the Congress.
She felt great, yesterday's night had been the cherry on top.
Rei finally opened her eyes, sat up and looked around the bedroom and what she saw made her begin to smile instantly.
Her boyfriend even had searched together her clothes and put them neatly on a wardrobe so she wouldn't wake up to the mess they made yesterday.
Or rather she, after he deliberately took his time to get her out of the corsage she was wearing underneath her uniform, while kissing her neck, back and shoulders all the time.
By the time he was done she was so was so hot she almost had ignited the bed.
He also left a note for her that just stated "I love you." and a badly drawn heart.
Awww, I love you too TopGun.
Rei stretched again, she should get ready and head over to the Senate, making preparations for her inauguration tomorrow.
At the Naval Fleet Academy of Coruscant SunTzu just got ready to introduce his group's, meaning Haruka, Michiru, Gistess, Fireball, Colt and him, ideas and recommendations for a better liaison between aerial and spacebound assets and infantry, especially Special Forces.
He had been elected by the group yesterday, when they all had been out together and only SunTzu was at a romantic dinner with Rei. He had tried to get out of being the one to declaim it but the others just had let him know it was the punishment for his leave yesterday, when he surprised Rei directly after getting told she would become a Senator.
And now he was standing in front of the auditorium and dozens of other officers, pilots and warriors and the leading officer of the Fourth Fleet and arranged his notes and the papers with the ideas and proposals they all had collected.
He sighed inside, and hoped he wouldn't mess this up.
Just as he was about to start he saw Haruka and Colt in the last rows giving him the finger and his mouth curled up. The little, different way of motivation from his friends gave him the reassurance he needed and he began.
Rei had made it to the Galactic Senate Building and was planning the interior of her new office with an attendant, that would serve as her contact person.
As Senator she would stay the head of galactical Diplomacy of the Royal Kingdom but she had to think about who would follow her in her new office on Coruscant and who would stay on Earth.
Maybe it was time to promote one of the receptionists and ask her if she wanted to work on Coruscant.
And she wanted some traditional and Shinto influenced Furniture.
So many stuff to take care of, and this wasn't even the important stuff like building up and expanding contacts for common interests.
As soon as she was done here she should meet with the Senator of Chandrila.
On Earth the Royal Family accompanied by Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Pluto just had left the Royal Space Yacht and got back to the Palace.
A tired looking Sailor Venus, accompanied by Ami and Luna was already waiting for them in the Throne Room.
"Thank god you guys finally are back! Ever since Rei was announced as Senator the whole world wants to know more. Or kiss ass already." The blonde Senshi sighed. "Mamoru, Elon Musk wants you to call him. And there's like every government in the word trying to reach you as well. If someone is looking for me, I'm back learning for my MD." She made a phone gesture with her hand and pointed to Setsuna before she left.
Artemis had excused himself, as he was in the Military HQ. The ongoing reinforcement of the Taskforce, it would get another company of regular Troopers, was taking way to long already and he needed to take care of it himself to fasten up the process, so they could get back to fully Operational Readiness.
SunTzu had done his job pretty well and the work of the six friends was praised and seen as an important point to work on from superiors and same ranked as well.
The Congress ended with a small farewell adress from Admiral Bwua'tu.
Afterwards everyone had been packing and before leaving the six friends had gotten together for a last caf again.
"Where's everyone heading now?"
"Im heading back to my company, currently on R&R on Sluis Van before we head out again to the Rim." Gistess said and then looked over to the two Star Sheriffs.
"For us it's back to Yuma and then on back to patrolling, hoping it stays as quiet as it is right now." Fireball was the next one.
"What about Taskforce Sol?"
"We're waiting for new troops to reinforce our forces and I don't have any bloody idea how long that will stay take. The Kraut, Michiru and me will stay until the day after tomorrow here at least. Before Rei's inauguration tomorrow we'll fly escort for our Queen. But I hope we can get back into the fight after that really soon. My trigger finger is itching and there's still too many enemies out there." Haruka replied.
"Yeah, I wonder where they strike next. And I hope it's not everywhere at once. I'm still waiting for this to happen."
"Yeah, I had that with my Company NCO, the enemy is pretty stupid to come in waves and not push immediately on several fronts. He would probably cause way more trouble that way."
"I had this with Ami, our Head of Intelligence already, it appears that he either has a problem with communication or he is toying with us. Maybe to buy time for something."
"Let's hope he's not stalling us, thinking about how much trouble these rattle snakes already brought us, I don't even wanna know, how things will break bad if they take off their gloves."
Everyone around the high table agreed with a grim face to Colt's last sentence.
An hour later, the two Star Sheriffs had already left, Colt in the Bronco Buster and Fireball with the Maglev Train, the three earthlings got ready to take off as well.
While Haruka and Michiru were doing their preflight checks, Gistess was standing with SunTzu near AICA and said her goodbye.
"I hope to see your better half as well next time. Until then you guys take care of each other."
"Will do. You take care as well, don't get yourself killed out there."
The brunette's mouth curled up into a smug grin.
"Afraid to loose me?" She laughed. "Don't worry, I try to not end up in the void." Ending in the void meant the feasibly established form of interring dead troops with releasing their remains into space.
SunTzu nodded and offered her a hand.
She took it and they shook hands.
"Till next time then."
AICA and the Voyager lifted off and took course towards Rei's place, she had invited the girls to go out tonight and then crash her couch before both Starfighters would fly to earth tomorrow morning and then escort the Royal Yacht to Coruscant.
It was afternoon and when Rei opened the door for the trio, Michiru and she immediately hugged each other happily and the teal haired congratulated her friend heartily.
Haruka followed with a bear hug.
"Finally someone in the Senate I approve of. Good Job Rei-Chan."
The two couples went out for dinner and subsequent cocktails afterwards. They had great fun and even Haruka made nice comments how joyful the beaming couple opposite of her and Michiru seemed to be. And how proud SunTzu smiled at Rei.
The next morning the four Guardians got up early and while the three pilots got ready to fly to earth Rei got ready for her last preparations before the inauguration ceremony.
Her and SunTzu shared a minute of togetherness on the balcony and he held her in his arms as she was in front of him and they watched the matutinal skyline.
"I still can't believe it."
"But it's true. And you earned it for your hard work."
"Pinch me after the ceremony, okay? Just to make sure it's not a dream."
"That feeling sounds familiar. I have it every morning when I wake up next to you."
Rei giggled amused. "Really?"
"Okay, that one was maybe a bit over the top. Anyways, who is coming? Is your grandfather coming along?"
"I wish. But the old man refuses to leave earth or even Japan, so I guess he has to wait for the reception at the palace. But apart from all the Senshi, Phobos and Deimos are coming along as well. Some members of my staff are already on the way too."
Three hours later the two snubs sat down on the palace landing spot, next to the Naboo-made Royal Yacht.
The pilots climbed out of their cockpits to stretch their legs and freshen up a bit.
Soon all of the attendants of the later ceremony that weren't flying themselves were in the Yacht, except for a psyched Sailor Venus who opted to fly in AICA as she wanted to know all about Rei's appointment, and they went on their way to Coruscant.
Soon after lifting off Haruka and Minako were talking to each other again in their thick dialect. It could have been how leading the kingdom had felt for the Senshi of Love, but Michiru and SunTzu weren't sure, as both blondes talked in their thickest British Dialect again.
When in space Michiru and SunTzu were mocking Haruka a bit because they still couldn't make out, what she was talking about with Minako.
"How come Minako can talk like that anyway? I mean, I know she's quarter British but when she talks English with me, it's usually without that thick accent." A curious SunTzu asked.
"It's a family thing. It's like the usual dialect our family speaks with each other." Minako replied.
"Our family? Did I miss something?" SunTzu asked, now even more curious.
"Well, Minako and I are distant cousins. But we found that out just a few years ago at a huge family get-together. Minako's grand uncle and my grand cousin are married, over twenty years already. Seems these reincarnations of ours are more closer together than before."
SunTzu began to laugh.
"Oh really? Hahahaha! I can imagine so well how that meeting went."
"Oh God, I know where this is going." Stated Michiru and sighed loudly.
"Huh, what do you mean?" A curious Minako asked.
"Don't you dare to say it, you damn Jerry!" Haruka chimed in.
"Help me Step Uranus, I'm stuck!" SunTzu said and burst into laughter again.
Rei had met with her staff that had arrived on Coruscant, including the three members that would work on Coruscant now. One of them being the young receptionist Izumi Ayame, twenty four years old, which would now become the receptionist and secretary of Rei's office in the Senate.
The girl was thrilled to bits to be on Coruscant and to have the chance to work here.
After a small tour of the Senate the group of earthlings went on to a guided sightseeing tour of the planet while Rei got ready for her inauguration. Senator Hod from Chandrila had a very good beauty salon recommended to her. Rei had to admit she'd rather would have been styled by the Ayakashi Sisters' but Coruscant wasn't Tokyo.
The ceremony was to be held in the afternoon. The Chief of State, along with the Chair of the Senate, in this case the Senator of Kashyyyk, would announce the Seat of Earth, Gaia wasn't almost used anymore, as the planet got more well known in the universe, in the Senate and the appointment of Rei as it's Senator, inside the Grand Convocation Chamber.
The Yacht and the Starfighters landed at one of the Senate's landing platforms and the Royals, Senshi, Mau, Koronians and SunTzu got out of the spaceships.
In a quiet corner the Senshi transformed into their Princess forms, Luna was wearing a black and yellow Armani Dress and the two Koronians their Miko Outfits while SunTzu and Artemis wore their full mess dress attires. By now the Pilot's uniform was almost as covered as the one of the Taskforce's white haired Admiral.
Rei and her staff awaited them at the door leading into the Senate Building and the girls and Rei greeted each other gushily. Rei also received a big hug from Mamoru, making her state that if he does that again, he probably will be in trouble with Usagi, and a fatherly hug from Artemis, who was biologically just a few years older. The hug with the two Mikos at once resembled proud young sisters hugging their bigger sister.
Last one to greet her and he did with another bent down kiss surprising Rei and everyone around and making them laugh was SunTzu.
Rei lead them to her office where the first pieces of furniture had been delivered too.
A big, beautiful desk, made out of dark wood was prominently at the end of the room.
Minako was standing next to SunTzu as he behold the table and then locked eyes with Rei, both thinking the same and her eyebrows shot up for the matter of a second.
Minako observed the scene and knew exactly what the two of them were thinking about. She began to giggle and when Haruka and Michiru behind her asked what's wrong she just shrugged it off.
A few minutes before the ceremony began the Earthlings, except for Rei, her new secretary and the two Mikos, were lead to the Great Conovocation Chamber, where they were seated at a large platform for observers.
On the way they were greeted by some of the Senators they already had conferred with and that were supportive of earth.
Just before the group sat down, the Neon Queen and the King were also lead away to briefly be greeted by the Chief of State.
When they came back a few minutes later, Ada Wong, Leon S. Kennedy, Winter Chelchu and Jedi Master Cilghal were following them and also sat down at the Plattform of the guardians, greeting the Attendees.
Leia and the Head of the Senate, Wookiee Marrithraar, along with C-3PO stepped on the repulsor platform of the Senate's chair and opened the session and therefor the ceremony. Most of the senators were actually attending since it was pretty rare these days that new systems joined the Senate.
SunTzu noticed the Senator of Metellos nearby and greeted him with a fake, big smile. The man almost cowered down in shame.
SunTzu and Artemis also greeted the Senator of the Imperial Remnant, retired Admiral Natasi Daala, with a formal salute, while the other Senshi, that were Officers and Mamoru greeted her with a formal bow.
The former Fleet Officer replied with a honorable bow as well.
After the mandatory routine processes the Senator Marrithraar gave the word to Leia.
"Honorable senators, guests and onlookers, as you know today we have a special reason to come together. Today we celebrate that this center of democracy and goodwill for the galaxy is growing once more." The Chief of State paused for a moment and then continued with a smile. "I am pretty sure that if you have been on Coruscant lately, you didn't miss their impact on their culture on the planet and the galaxy already."
Some of the Senators began to laugh and the Wookiee beside her chimed in as well with big loud laughter.
"Without further due, it's my honor, and if I may add, a personal joy of mine, to welcome the Sol System, System of the Planet Earth, to some known as Gaia, into this Senate."
Attendees began to cheer and SunTzu and Ami who were sitting next to each other were turning heads towards the other and smiled.
When the cheering abated after a few minutes, Leia continued further.
"So now, let us all warmly welcome Sol's Senator in our middle."
Leia looked to the other side of the Chamber.
"Please come forward Senator."
A platform began to move towards Leia's platform and SunTzu's heart jumped when he saw her.
With her secretary, in business clothing, and Phobos and Deimos in their Miko clothes behind her, Rei in the front was dressed in a beautiful two tones of red colored Kimono with a yellow and purple belt and a purple bow in her hair. The Kimono was kept simple but this made it even more beautiful. The girls began to whisper, they loved the dress and the Neo Queen complimented Rei's choice of clothes from a point of beauty as well as a sign of tradition and identity.
As the platform stopped next and just a slight bit below the platform the Chief of State was on, Rei turned around briefly and smiled up to her friends.
Rei and her small entourage bowed down before the Chief of State and the Head of the Senate and Leia shot her a warm smile.
In Shyriiwook, which was then translated by C-3PO, the Wookiee asked Rei if she would accept her position and if she would swear to support and upkeep the Galactic Alliance Common Charter, bear true faith and allegiance to the Charter, uphold the Galactic Alliance's values and goals and to do everything she could do for the sake of the Alliance, it's members and her home system."
"I solemnly swear hereby to support and defend the Galactic Alliance Common Charter, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, uphold the Galactic Alliance's values and goals and do everything I am capable for the sake of the Alliance, it's members and my home system."
A visibly moved Rei swore her oath.
Light years away on earth, an old man was sitting in his arm chair, surrounded by four sisters and a Miko and they all watched the holo broadcast of the inauguration. Holo Broadcasts were still expensive on earth but it was well worth it for the man, that had dressed himself in his best suit for the occasion.
As his granddaughter swore her oath a single tear of proudness and joy ran down his cheek and the Miko with the maroon brown hair next to him got up and hugged him from behind.
When Rei had finished her oath the Wookiee and Leia both welcomed her in her function and wished her best of luck.
It was expected that Rei would hold a small speech as Introduction, but right now the Senate was still applauding. One of the guest platforms eclipsed everyone else in the room.
And after wiping away a small tear In her eyes, she looked back up to her friends and boyfriend again and smiled as everyone was cheering like crazy for her, making hearts, blowing kisses, showing V-Signs or thumbs up or smiling at her.
SunTzu motioned her that he loved her with pointing to his heart and then to her and she put two fingers to her mouth and motioned up to him.
As the applause finally ended she cleared her throat.
"Madam Chief of State, dear fellow Senators, thank you for introducing me so friendly into your ranks. As some of you know, our system isn't the biggest nor the most important, after all we only have one inhabited planet. The blue planet that Earth is. A planet that is worth fighting for, apart from it's culture that is gaining favor all over the galaxy right now but for it's sheer beauty, of it's nature and also because of the individuals that life on it. A planet I would give my life for defending it. As we all should for our precious homes. But also, we shall never forget about others, neighboring System or far away, Core Planet or Outer Rim, we are all inhabitants of this galaxy. We might not be able to change things while we're alone but I believe in democracy. I believe in unity. I believe that if we work together, this Alliance can overcome every obstacle. It already overcame hardships, numerous times before. And although there is a war raging on in the Alliance right now, with people very close to me being on the frontline fighting as well, from first hand I cannot see one minute of us loosing this war, the enemy lurking in the shadows or not. And I speak for my planet and it's rulers, foremost my Neo Queen, when I say that Sol System will further do it's part for the sake of this Alliance and to win this war. And with your help, working together as an unity, my fellow Senators, we can achieve about everything."
First applause began to be heard and Rei and the Chair of the Senate motioned for the chamber to be silent, she wasn't finished yet.
"I, or rather we, the inhabitants of the blue planet within the system with it's nine planets, are forever grateful for our reception into this great chamber and hope for a constructive and pleasant cooperation. Let us make this galaxy a place even better as it already is!"
Another wave of applause, louder than before.
"I want to thank all of you or to say it in my mother tongue, makoto ni arigatou gozaimasu. May the Force be with you all."
Rei bowed down and stepped back from the microphone.
And now loud applause rang out and the guest platform that housed the earthlings and their friends wasn't the only one giving standing ovations.
Minako had tears in her eyes and was hugged by Makoto.
Luna and Artemis smilingly noticed that Senator Daala as well as various other important senators including the one of Calamari-Sector and even the Chair of Senate and the Chief of Senate were among the people giving standing ovations.
SunTzu had stepped forward to the rail and looked below to Rei's platform, his eyes glistering as his they and the ones of the completely flattered Rei met and both smiled at each other.
It needed some time until the Applaus had ebbed down again and the seating continued with it's regular schedule, although there was not much on the timetable today. The hover platform Rei was on had found it's place again, in between to the one of the Chandrilan Senator and Rei's friend Colo Hod and the Senator of Naboo.
As the seating ended the attendants were invited to a reception in the huge entrance hall of the building and a great number of the senators followed the call.
Rei, after being swarmed at her platform from her fellow Senshi and friends and heartily being congratulated on her new position again, rumors saying that there were quite a few tears shared between her and the other Inner Senshi including their Queen, and a kiss of the proudest boyfriend in the galaxy, was visited by Leia Organa-Solo who alongside the Chair of Senate congratulated her personally again and also praised her speech. Female Mon Cal Jedi Master Cilghal congratulated as person and for the whole New Jedi Order. She excused the Order's Grand Master for his absence.
Soon after they all stepped into the room where the reception was held and immediately Rei was swarmed again.
Dozens of other Senators were basically waiting in line to introduce themselves and have some small talk. A majority of the people complimented her choice of dress as well.
SunTzu, the two Mikos and her secretary Izumi stood close by, and the later was busy collecting buisness cards and contact data that Rei received.
Phobos and Deimos, although acting as they were just here as servants kept a close eye on the surroundings and SunTzu was just happy to be able to marvel at his girlfriend.
The other earthlings were close by and enjoyed themselves while the Royal Couple and Artemis where chatting with some Senators. Quite a few Senators were interested in the officer's opinion on how the war was going on.
After a few hours, Rei had really grown tired of talking by then, the reception ended.
But this wasn't the end of the festivities for the friends from Earth.
After a small break in their hotel, or in Rei's apartment for her and SunTzu, the friends soon met again.
The Kingdom had rented a whole diner in Coruscant, to be able to celebrate under their own. The Diner was not far away from the Jedi temple and the inner circle of the Kingdom was joined by their friends from Coruscant.
Rei loved the idea, the tasty food being the right thing after a long day.
Together they had a great evening with lots of great food and finally some time for them all to catch up with each other.
And the friends had a lot of toasts over the new Senator of Sol System and their Seat in the Senate.
