Chapter Two

Andy smiled to herself. She was so grateful that Natasha felt the same way that she did. She had a crush on Natasha for what seemed like the longest time and never imagined that the feelings would be mutual. Andy smiled for the first time since she had been named captain. It still felt surreal. She was happy she was made captain, but she was also devasted that Jack wouldn't be working alongside her anymore.

It was three days later, and Ross was being released from the hospital. Jack had woken up two days ago. His first words when he had woken up had broken Andy's heart.

"Captain. When's my next shift."

It took everything in Andy to not break down at those words. She had Jack by her side her whole career. He was with her through the ups and downs of her life, and he was the only one there for her after Ryan had died.

Andy shook her head, trying to rid her thoughts when she saw Ross.

"Hey, Chief," Andy said and watched Natasha's face light up.

"Hey, Captain," Natasha said back, watching Andy smile.

"You ready to get out of here?" Andy asked, walking closer to Natasha, grabbing her hand and feeling butterflies all over again. She could get used to this feeling.

"Hell yes. So ready to leave this place." Natasha said and Andy giggled, and Natasha swore it was the greatest sound ever.

"You're going to be staying with me while you're healing," Andy told her. "I know I'm going to be working but…"

"I'm fine with it. I really don't want to go back to my apartment right now anyway," Natasha told her, surprising her.

"You sure, Nat?" Andy asked, wanting to make sure she didn't feel like she was forcing Natasha into this.

"I'm sure. We just need to stop by my place so I can pack some clothes."

Andy nodded. "Yup, was going to make that stop anyway," Andy told her smiling. Andy looked around, seeing if anyone was nearby before leaning down to kiss Natasha. Natasha put a hand around Andy's neck, making sure she stayed connected while Andy did the same with her since Natasha was sitting on the side of the bed. Both women were so caught up in kissing that they didn't hear anyone come up behind them until they heard a throat clear.

They pulled apart and Andy turned around and blushed, along with Natasha, when they saw Amelia and Miranda.

"Oh, God," Andy whispered under her breath.

"I don't think God has anything to do with what was just going on." Amelia laughed and Andy blushed a deeper shade of pink while Natasha grabbed her hand and rubbed circles along the top.

"We just came to tell you that you can leave now and take it easy for the next month, okay?" Miranda told Natasha. Andy watched Natasha nod, blush still apparent on her cheeks. Miranda looked between Andy and Natasha. "when did this even happen?" Miranda asked, hand gesturing between the two of them.

"Uh, Two minutes ago," Andy told them.

"Well damn, that was some first kiss." Amelia comments and Miranda laughs before walking out after Natasha signs her release papers, leaving her and Andy alone again.

"Let's go get you some clothes and home." Andy wrapped an arm around Natasha's back and guided her out of the hospital and to her car, both forgetting that they had been caught kissing by Miranda and Amelia.

When Andy reached Natasha's apartment building she let out a low whistle at how expensive it looked.

"Impressed or something Herrera?" Natasha asked, a small smirk on her face.

"I am," Andy said, too impressed to joke. "Are you sure you want to stay at mine? I could grab some clothes and stay here if you'd be more comfortable." Andy offered. She wants Natasha to be as comfortable as possible while she's recovering.

"I'm sure. This was my parent's apartment. I grew up here and I guess I don't want to let it go." Natasha said, eyes downcast. Andy turned off the car and gently turned Natasha's head, so she was looking at her.

"Hey, I get it. I really do. If you ever want to talk about it, I'm here, okay?" Andy told her, gently rubbing her cheek. Natasha nodded. "Now, seriously, would you prefer to stay here? I know how comforting childhood homes can be."

Natasha looked at Andy. She saw the genuine care and understanding in her eyes and swore her love for the woman grew. Natasha froze. Love. Do I love Andy Herrera? Natasha asked herself and she looked away from Andy.

Andy frowned. "Nat? Are you okay?" Andy asked and Natasha swooned at the nickname. She looked back up at Andy with a smile on her face. "Nat?" Andy grew concerned when she didn't say anything but that worry melted away when Natasha pulled her in for a kiss. She closed her eyes and took off her seatbelt as Ross did the same, briefly pulling apart before wrapping their arms around each other. One of Andy's hands began to go under Natasha's shirt while Natasha was doing the same. They gently ran their hand over each others' abs and moaned at the feeling. They were caught up in their bubble when they heard Andy's phone ring and they jumped apart in alarm, both surprised by the loudness of the phone.

"Oh, my God. I am so sorry, Nat." Andy said as the phone continued to ring.

"It's okay." Natasha gave Andy a small smile. "You might want to pick that up though," Ross laughed.

Andy glared at her, pulled her phone out of her pocket and saw that it was the hospital calling. She looked up at Natasha, a panicked expression on her face. Natasha looked at the screen, saw 'Grey-Sloan' and grabbed Andy's hand. Ready to be there for her… Well, shit what are they? Ross questioned but shook her head, ready to be there for Andy good or bad as Andy answered her phone.
