Naraku didnt even bat an eye at Kagome's father. It was clear he was stronger.

Naraku smirked "Your group keeps growing," He looked around. Inuyasha is standing with his sword drawn, Kikyo standing calmly behind him.

Miroku has his hands on his beads, ready to aid, if he can. Sango is wearing a poison mask and has her weapon on the ready. Kagome's father stands tall but with no weapon, he doesn't need one and then Naraku settles his eyes on Sesshomaru.

The group notices Narakus settle shift.

Sesshomaru has his sword out. Inuyasha looks at his brother "Why is he looking at him," He says to himself. Thats when Inuyasha noticed it. Sesshomaru isn't standing unbothered like normal, he has his feet planted and has a tight hold on his sword. Kagome has her bow out and notched but Sesshomaru is standing in her way.

"Shit," Inuyasha wispers,

"What is it?" Miroku asked,

"Sesshomaru is protecting Kagome,"

Naraku laughs at the sight. "Lord Sesshomaru, protecting a human girl,"

"Oi, we ain't here to talk!" Inuyasha tried to draw his attention.

Naraku doesn't look at him but speaks to him "Fear not half breed, It doesn't matter why he has chosen to protect her the outcome will be the same,"

That was where Naraku was wrong, very wrong.

Sesshomaru had something to protect, and it was more than just protecting her. Protecting her was protecting his house, his blood, his line because she would be the one to carry his children. But before any of that, they had to get the jewel and awaken his mate up.

Sesshomaru moved fast and didnt wait. He was sick of waiting. Yes emotion drove him, but he didnt go in blind. No, he could see, see it all.

He struck, Inuyasha stuck, Miroku, Sango, Kikyo, Kagome.

His focus wasn't on killing Naraku, no, it was about getting the jewel.

Naraku was foolish. He lost sight.

Kagome's father left the scene, and Kikyo followed behind him.

The others kept Naraku busy.

One lives and dies by the heart.

"Move aside wind witch," The Lord stated, Kiyo behind him.

Kaugra raised an eyebrow,

Kikyo notched her bow and pointed.

"You know," Kagura stated,

"Indeed, now move,"

"It will take more than her power to destroy his heart," She pointed out.

He smirked "It won't be here by my daughter who will destroy it,"

Kagura was confused.

"He speaks of Kagome," Kikyo tells her, bow pointed.

"The human from the future?" Kaugra doesn't look convinced.

"Follow and watch if you wish, but move, or shall this Miko destroy you?" The Northern Lord growls,

Kagura takes out her fan. She isn't really worried, but she does not underestimate Kikyo. But she also wants freedom, she steps aside.

Kagome's demon father kills the creature holding Narakus's heart with ease.

"He will know," Kaugra tells him backing away "Whatever your plan, you need to do it now,"

He looks back at Kikyo, they nod and start to go back "Will you come?"

"He will know I failed, I will await my freedom, do not fail," She vanished.

Naraku of course does know something is wrong. He growls, distracted and that's when Sesshomaru makes his move and the timing could not be better.

Kikyo and Kagome lord father are back, Naraku's heart in a navy velvet sack.

Sesshomaru managed to get the remaining shards, tossed them to Kagome and then throw her over his shoulder and flies to her father.

Kagome, unready for the move gasped.

"Hurry up!" Inuyasha growls. He isn't sure how long he and Miroku can hold the now, very pissed Naraku. But he is weak and he knows why.

Kagome puts the shards together just as Sesshomaru drops her down "Miko!" He says rushed. His back to her, his sword protecting her from attacks. She is on her knees as the shard comes together and then she holds it up "No what!"

Her father takes it "Now, you change, are you ready my daughter?"

She is afraid, but she can't show it, won't.

"You must focus, your power is going to be at its highest as soon as I unlock it, you must strike the heart then," Her father tells her.

Miroku is knocked away, right into Sango and they go flying back.

"it must be now," Kikyo states, she's running out of arrows.

Kagome closes her eyes. Sesshomaru has an opening to look back.

Her father sets the jewel on Naraku's heart and puts an arrow in Kagome's hand "With me, daughter,"

Together, they strike the jewel and the magic is unbound, the jewel cracks and the spell on Kagome is broken and power explodes.
