Summary: The Tracy Family find out Sophia is pregnant.
Umm… Surprise?
2097
Dr. Willow Ling Tracy, stared at the results on her screen, she had just been informed the day before that the most recent batch of the birth control that she used for her niece's, Scout, Kesha and Sophia, had been recalled due to being ineffective.
So she had dragged the girls in for pregnancy tests, to make sure they were still clear to safely work out in the field, and to restart their birth control if they wished.
Scout's and Kesha's results were not surprising for a couple of women that had very healthy relationships with their husbands - Piper, Alan and Kayo were going to be thrilled to become grandparents again…
But Sophia's…
At first Willow thought she had made a mistake, but after double checking the DNA of samples, and getting fresh ones from Sophia, there was no denying it.
What made the results so surprising was that Willow wasn't aware that Sophia even had a boyfriend, and the closest thing she had to one as far as Willow knew was that Turquoise Spectrum Officer, but contact had been cut with that organisation for the better part of six months, so it definitely wouldn't be him…
But there was no denying it - Sophia Allison Tracy was pregnant…

Scout Tracy, with her husband, Mike, and Sophia, nervously walked into the comm's room of Tracy Island, looking for Alan.
She had just told her Mother that she was finally getting a second grandchild, who was over the moon, and now she was about to inform Alan about her condition so arrangements could be made for her husband to take over her role of Thunderbird One in her absence.
But her news wasn't the reason for her nervousness - she was worried to how her uncle was going react to Sophia's pregnancy.
Sophia's parents and twin brother were not currently on the island, so Sophia hadn't had a chance to inform them yet, other than Willow, only Kesha, Fermat, Mike and herself actually knew about Sophia's condition at this moment in time.
As for the father of her twins, Willow had insisted on doing a scan to visually confirm her pregnancy, Sophia had been very tight lipped about who he actually was, the only thing she was willing to tell Scout was that the man's name was Daniel, and that her relationship with him was 100% consensual, and it happened in the week's leave that she had taken in January.
It was also obvious Sophia had spoken about him with Kesha, because she was only shocked about the pregnancy, not by the fact that Sophia had a boyfriend, and she was just as tight lipped about him, as Sophia was.
Alan and Kayo were currently hugging Kesha, obviously happy to hear that they were going to be grandparents again, "Scout, it's looking like Briar and I are going to be working with you on space missions for the next year," Alan commented.
"You and Briar are going to be working with Mike, you mean," Scout cut in. "Aunty Will has confirmed I'm pregnant as well."
"Oh, wow, Congratulations," Alan replied. "Does your mother know yet?"
"I do, and I'm thrilled," Piper answered, as she came up from behind Scout and hugged her daughter. "Day's like this make me wish Scott was still was with us."
"I know," Kayo replied. "Although, we would almost certainly be using the smelling salts on him."
Alan laughed, "True," he replied. "Part of me wonders how he would have reacted to this, considering…" he looked at Sophia. "Although it is kind of a shame that this isn't going to become a trifecta."
Sophia gave her uncle a weak smile, "Yeah…" she muttered. "About that…"
"Sophia?" Piper questioned her niece.
"I may have hooked up with a guy, when I was on liberty," Sophia replied. "A couple of weeks ago…"

Gordon blinked at his daughter, who was sitting in the sunken lounge with Scout and Kesha for support, as he processed the news she had just told Penelope, Simon, Winry and himself, not long after they returned to the island after Alan had urgently called them back.
His wife had gone as stiff as a board, and while he knew that Penelope was happy to finally be given some grandchildren from her daughter, he knew that her British aristocratic up bringing, would have preferred Sophia to be happily married before having children, the gossip's were going to have field day when they found out.
As far as Gordon was concerned, Penelope's family and their Aristocrat friends could stuff it, there were worse scandals, than his fully grown adult daughter getting pregnant without a husband.
But that didn't mean that Gordon didn't want a little heart to heart with Sophia's Turkey baster…
Preferably one that ended with it getting covered in fish guts and thrown into shark infested waters.
It appeared that his son had the same idea and he was currently grilling his sister on who the Turkey was and his current location, "Who is this Daniel, Phia?" He was asking. "Did he hurt you? Is that the reason why you are refusing to talk?"
Sophia nailed Simon with a glare, "You don't think Sky hasn't already asked these questions?" She snapped back at him. "You know full and bloody well that he didn't do anything to me that I didn't agree with, otherwise you would have known all about it," She gave Kesha a sideways look. "Since we share a bond similar to what Keys and Kal had."
Simon's face paled at his sister's comment, "Well excuse me for being worried about you," he snapped back. "So does this Daniel know about his impending bundles of joy?"
"No, he doesn't," Sophia muttered. "I lost my direct means of contacting him, and I don't know his last name."
Penelope face palmed, "Sophia, we need to know who he is," she commented.
"Why?" Sophia replied. "So, Dad and Si can decide whether or not they are going to kill him, before I have a chance to say anything to him?"
"Is he someone we wouldn't approve of?" Gordon asked, wondering why his daughter was so defensive.
"He's a man with a pulse," Sophia growled. "You tell me."
Gordon threw his hands up in the air, "Don't you think he has a right to know about this?" He snapped.
"He does," Sophia replied. "And I fully plan on telling him, but I want to tell him directly, not have him find out via a knuckle sandwich from you or Si."
Penelope put her hand on Gordon's shoulder, "If that's your decision we will leave it for now," Penelope cast a warning look at Gordon. "But while we are on the subject of telling people about pregnancy's, have any of you girls spoken to Dianne recently?"
"No, we haven't spoken to her for a while," Scout replied. "Last we heard she was on a deep undercover assignment for you."
"So you haven't mentioned your pregnancy's to her as of yet?"
"No, we haven't had a chance to," Scout replied. "Why do you ask?"
"I'm asking because of the nature of the assignment she undertaken, her Island's clearance has been revoked," Penelope replied. "She is not to know anything new that we wouldn't tell a member of the general public, that includes your pregnancy's."
"What!?!" Sophia exclaimed. "She's one of our closest friends… What do you have her doing?"
Penelope looked at Gordon, as if debating whether or not to tell them, "She is currently training to become one of Spectrum's Angel pilot's," she finally admitted. "So I am going to need you and Kesha to tell her everything you know about the personnel that you have interacted with, next time she gets in contact with you."
Sophia and Kesha exchanged a look, "Wait you have put her in Spectrum to act as a spy!?!" Kesha replied. "She could potentially get in a lot of trouble if she is found out."
Gordon swore he heard Sophia muttering something about a firing squad, but he decided to leave it, for now…
"We are well aware of the risk to Dianne," Penelope continued. "But we need to know how badly Spectrum has been compromised, and if there is anything that we can do to contain the threat."
"Maybe you could look at it this way," Gordon added. "We might be able to help Turquoise, Amber and anyone else that isn't a Mysteron on on that base, if we are able to determine the level of threat they pose."
"And what if they already know about the Mysteron officers?" Sophia shot back. "That the officers didn't actually compromise Spectrum's security and there is perfectly legitimate reason to why they have Mysteron officers working for them?"
"Such as?" Gordon asked.
"I don't know," Sophia replied. "Maybe there are Mysteron turncoats or some of the people that they Mysteronized kept their humanity and broke free of their control…"
"Those are pretty big maybe's, Sophia," Scout pointed out.
"Dianne could be shot for being a spy, if she is found out, Scout," Sophia replied. "Regardless of whether or not the Skybase Mysteron's are a threat or not."
Gordon frowned, "I thought you were worried about the safety of the Spectrum officers you worked in the past," he replied.
"I am," Sophia snapped. "But not so much that I would risk the safety of another friend for something that could be handled with a frank conversation with Colonel Blue."
"Dianne had the option to back out when she was offered the job," Penelope replied. "And you are free to let her know your opinion on the matter when she contacts you," she sighed heavily. "But even if Blue is clean he could still lie to us, and we need to have a second opinion on the matter."
"But-"
"The matter is closed, Sophia," Penelope cut her daughter off. "And unless you are willing to come clean on who the father of your children are, I would like some time alone to process the fact I'm about to become a grandmother again."
Sophia stood up, "F.A.B." She growled, as she stormed out of the room, Scout, Kesha, Simon and Winry, following behind her.
Gordon looked at Penelope, "You're not mad at her are you?" He asked his wife quietly.
"No," Penelope replied. "But I will admit to being disappointed, I don't like the fact that she is being so cagey about the father of her children," she sighed. "This 'Daniel' had better be worth our daughter's efforts to protect him."
Gordon nodded his head in agreement as he pulled his wife into a hug, "Hmm," he commented. "And I so wanted to have a bonding session with the guy," he gave Penelope a cheeky look. "Do you think shark cage diving would have been a good activity?"
Penelope snorted and smacked Gordon's chest, "Behave," she growled.

(A/N: This is set just before Shane's section in Explosion)
Hindsight, Simon thought, as he gently brushed a stray hair from his sister's face, as she lay sedated in her hospital bed in Tracy Island's infirmary. Is a bitch.
He should have known that his sister would openly defy the elders order's, she and Kesha, cared far too much about those Rainbow Fairies, Turquoise, Mahogany and Coral, to follow them without trying to warn them about the potential danger of a imposter.
He should have realised that his sister had fallen hard for Turquoise, aka Daniel, heck the way she tended to light up every time he was around should have been the biggest clue, but he had chosen to ignore it.
Now Turquoise was dead…
And Sophia was taking it hard, Willow had ended up giving her a sedative in an attempt to calm the hysterics that the shock of losing the father of her children had brought on…
Kesha had ended up explaining what she knew about Sophia's missing week of leave, about how Sophia confronted Turquoise, Amber and Rose in front of Spectrum's London headquarters and the comm meeting with Colonel Blue that happened afterwards.
Which explained why Sophia and Kesha weren't surprised when Dianne reported about Spectrum's three Mysteron officers that apparently weren't under Mysteron control - they already knew and had made the educated guess that two of them were Mahogany and Coral.
Turquoise had then elected to take his scheduled time off then and there so he could spend time with Sophia.
Simon sighed, what was his sister thinking getting involved with a Skybase brat? One that she didn't even push to get an actual last name out of it.
While it was nice to finally have an explanation to why Kesha and Sophia were angry with Briar for cutting Dianne off on the day his niece and nephew were born, considering how the events of that day played out, had Dianne been allowed to talk to Kesha, there would have been enough time for Mike or Alan to dispatch Thunderbird One and collect the Turkey Baster before his children were born.
Thinking about Dianne, Simon was pretty sure Sophia would have told her everything at the Creighton-Ward family gathering, that had been held a couple of months ago, but the Mysterons had killed Dianne before she could even attend the event.
A loss that was still raw with everyone one on the island, that also brought back bad memories of Kallen's death…
"How's she doing?" Shane asked, from the doorway of the infirmary.
"As about as well as can be expected," Simon replied, as Shane walked into the room.
"Somebody should get in contact with Spectrum," Shane commented. "To at least leave our condolences with Turquoise's family and let them know about the twins."
"That's not going to happen while Coral is still in the picture," Simon replied. "Scarlet and Mahogany may have been taken out in the bast that also killed Turquoise, but while Coral is still part of Spectrum they still have a Mysteron problem."
Shane rolled his eyes, "Don't tell me you agree with the elders on this one," Shane growled. "By cutting off communication with Spectrum because of a couple of officers, which have actually helped save our family's lives from technically their own people, on more than one occasion, was kind of a douche bag move on our part."
"Shay-"
"Come off it, Si," Shane snapped. "You and I both know those officers are not a direct threat to us, if they ever were in the first place, Dianne would have found a way to warn us, hands tied or not."
"What makes you so sure of that?" Simon snapped back. "She was compromised pretty much from the get go, although how I don't know."
"Oh I have a pretty good guess on the how, not that you would believe me without solid proof,"Shane growled. "Dianne wasn't kidding about the fact if those officers had it out for us we would have been in a world of trouble, because if the guy who exposed her is who I think he is, we all owe him, and Turquoise's family, a massive apology for being a massive bunch of assholes towards them, and I also owe him a knuckle sandwich for being an overprotective idiot."
"An apology and a punch in the face?" Simon cocked an eyebrow at his cousin.
"Because I'm pretty sure he's the one that roofied me under orders," Shane replied. "But that doesn't change the fact we have been cruel to not only them, but Phia and Keys as well."
Simon looked at Shane with a surprised expression, "I didn't realise you felt so strongly this way," he replied.
"Don't look so surprised, Si," Shane replied. "I do owe the Prick, Turkey and Mysty Girl, my life after all, and they were punished as a thank you," he turned to leave the room. "And I'm pretty sure Dianne, once she realised what was going on, was trying to help them, up until she was killed," Shane paused at the door. "I would be willing to bet that was one of the main reasons why she didn't leave when she was exposed."
Simon was speechless, as Shane left the room, had his family made a massive mistake by shutting out Spectrum after all?
It would be a question that would come but and haunt him in the years to come…
Notes: But Turquoise isn't dead now is he?
Neither is Dianne or Kallen/Mahogany.
Tracy's are stubborn, but this time digging in their heels is going to bite them in the arse, eventually...
Shane is also annoyed at the lack of contact between Spectrum and IR, mostly because he wants to have at it with Mahogany and at least drag him back to Gran Roca Ranch or the Creighton-Ward estate, so everybody can face the consequences of their decisions. Shane is also not 100% sure Kallen is dead or alive here, because of what memories he has pieced back together.
