Mina Vs. Setsuna

Mina emerged from the medical wing, her boyfriends…she smiled as she thought about it. Her boyfriend's words are still on her mind, not as much as that kiss they shared. Walking down the hall, she could hear the crowd's roar getting louder. Setsuna had just been introduced; she could hear them chant her name just like she had riled them up for when Ejiro took the stage against Bakugo.

She caught a glimpse of the screen and saw Toru, Momo, Izuku, and blushing Kyoka holding up giant cardboard signs, each with a letter of her name. She felt so happy and wonderful knowing they supported her; her parents were cheering on from the stands, and Ejiro was watching her from the medical wing. "Today, you show the world who you are," she whispered.

"WELL, LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, YOU ALREADY SEEM TO KNOW HER OPPONENT, THE DYNAMIC PINK GIRL OF 1-A, THE ALIEN QUEEN, AND THE ONE YOU ALL WANT," Present Mic took a breath, placed one foot on the desk, leaned his head back, Eraser put in ear plugs. "MINA ASHIDO!"

The crowd erupted into cheers; it was then that things got even better. Half the stadium shouted, "ALIENS!" Setsuna booed, turned to the other half, and cupped her hand to her ear. "DINOSUARS!"

"ALIENS, DINORSAURS. ALIENS, DINOSAURS!" dueling chants echoed across the arena. Mina and Setsuna were on the stage grinning like a couple of idiots when they both crouched down, hands out, beginning to wiggle their fingers, the slow build from the entire stadium of "oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh YYYYYEEEEEEAAAA!" when they threw their hands in the air. Mina and Setsuna shook hands and turned to face Midnight, who was smiling at them.

"Ladies, you know the rules; today, you do battle not only for yourselves but in the name of," Midnight pointed to Mina.

"ALIENS!" the stadium erupted.

"AND?" Midnight pointed to Setsuna.

"DINOSAURS!"

"Step back," the girls did so; Midnight raised her arm, "Let's GET IT ON!" she commanded. The crowd was loving it.

"How does it feel to get outdone by two students and Midnight," Eraser whispered to Mic.

"Shut up," he muttered.

Mina immediately skated forward, her acid covering her feet. Set jumped back and broke apart, taking to the air, but she wasn't fast enough. Mina dived and grabbed her leg; a thick coat of acid appeared on her hand as she ran down the covered Setsuna's foot. Set screamed, separated her foot, and yanked her leg away. Mina grabbed the foot and shoved it into her uniform before she dodged under a left hook, but not the follow-up right. Mina staggered and spun away from another punch, the follow-up Mina caught under her arm acid spilling forth again.

Setsuna separated her arm at the elbow, yanking it away. Mina threw the arm down and stomped on Setsuna's hand, breaking some fingers and adding to her pain. Mina scanned the area and skated off towards Setsuna's other foot. Set regained her senses and went for a low kick, with her leg already missing a foot and clothesline under the arm; Mina dove expertly between the two. Her body spun, and acidic spray from her hair added more damage. But it was enough that Set repositioned her other leg to drop down in a hard ax kick that bounced Mina off the stage.

Set sent her limbs to press the assault. With her years of dance, Mina pushed up and spun on her hands, her feet extended like a top, showering the area around her with acid. It forced her opponent to pull away; Set winced as the foot Mina had trapped in her suit was getting burned by her sweat. Mina twisted, coming back to her feet. She swept her arm up and sent a wave of acid towards Set's head, but she missed. It was a maneuver that Mina had been working on, but she hadn't gotten it nailed down yet.

Set's arm came from behind and clubbed Mina, sending her down; she rolled from a kick and saw Set's uninjured hand coming for her. At the last minute, Mina braced and lowered her head so the hand connected with Mina's horn. Both girls yelled in pain; Mina though grabbed Set's wrist that had been stabbed on her horn and began to rub around Set's wrists in the world's worst friction burn. Set was in agony as she separated her hand to retreat.

Mina fell to a knee and yanked the hand free, her head pounding. She held it to the ground and started punching it with all she could. Mina knew the kicks were coming, but she didn't stop. The missing foot crashed into the side of her head, sending her tumbling to the side. The other swooped in, kicking her in the ribs, breaking or cracking something. Mina tried to react, but the arms came down like clubs battering her. She covered up; she managed to see the foot coming for her open ribs again; she absorbed the blow the best she could and poured her acid into her arms, forcing Setsuna to abandon her foot once again.

But Set kept up the assault; Mina's uniform began to eat away as she held onto Set's foot and began to roll and scramble to get to her feet. Setsuna could feel her regeneration kicking in; she shook the sudden drain from her head. Mina cartwheeled off of one hand, kicking one of Set's limbs. Set sent a forearm; Mina ducked under but ran her hand across it, causing more burns. Mina got to her feet only to have to spin past a kick. Tumbling to the side to avoid a leg sweep, she saw green. The ring out was right there. Mina tried to gain her balance, but a kick sent her falling forward towards the grass. Mina reached inside her tattered uniform, yanking Set's other foot out, but her hands forward, holding Setsuna's feet. Set's feet landed first.

The crowd, who were in full throat, went silent; Midnight looked at the replay. "WINNER MINA AHSIDO. SETSUNA TOKAGE FEET HIT FIRST!"

The crowd roared, and Set drifted to the ground, pulling her parts back to her. When they reattached, Mina ran over and held Setsuna's feet to her ankles. Set gave her a pained smile. "That was a good tactic," she said. "Dirty Alien," she smiled as the medical bots lifted her onto the skiff. "The dinosaurs will have their revenge."

"I look forward to it," Mina smiled, her hand on Set's shoulder as she escorted the skiff from the stage, the crowd raining cheers on them.

Reiko Vs. Sato

The crowd, a bit spent after the previous match, cheered for the nervous-looking Reiko as she came to the stage, and the same for Sato.

The match was interesting as Sato's much more muscular strength was due to Reiko's ability to lift and throw out of the ring, which is how they expected the fight to go. But when Sato could keep coming and power through to attack Reiko, the girl was sent scrambling from a hard punch to the gut and throw that, if not for her quirk, would have landed her out of the ring.

Sato charged forward; Reiko calmed her racing heart; suddenly, Sato couldn't see as she yanked his eyes closed and pulled his hand forward and down, sending him off balance. Reiko curled into a ball and dove at his legs, sending him to tumble over and out of the ring.

Neito Monoma

"The majestic Reiko of 1-B has triumphed over your brute," Neito said, half over the barrier. "Our first victory but not our last, Kinoko will continue to show our superiority. It is quality over quantity you sick…."

A giant hand suddenly fell over his face and yanked him back violently. "Sorry," Itsuka called out. They watched as the sounds of a struggle began and whimpering. Then Neito was hoisted over her head, one massive hand holding his arms and the other his legs as he stretched.

His screams of FREEDOM could be heard as he was taken down the hall.

"I admit I have some kinks, but pain is not one of them," Mineta said; his entire class turned and looked at him. "What? everyone has their limits, you know." The class started to laugh. He felt a smack on his shoulder from Toru. He just smiled.

Kinoko Vs. Momo

Compared to most other opponents, Kinoko had a solid chance of winning. Momo, on the other hand, created Fungicide bombs and threw them around before she drove Kinoko from the stage with some damaging hits from a staff.

Ochaco vs. Bakugo

Ochaco took a deep breath; she had to fight Bakugo. If she won, she would be rewarded with either Tsu or Izuku. I wonder if they will be able to fight each other. I hope that it doesn't cause them trouble. I want to face Izuku; he is so strong, and how he inspired the class pulled us all together. I want him to know that I am right here by his side. I am not going to be left behind. She looked at Bakugo's name and gritted her teeth. And if I have to go through Bakugo, then so be it.

"THIS IS THE SECOND ROUND!" Mic called out. "Stepping to the stage, we have one of this year's powerhouses, an early favorite who went through a hell of a match in the first round."

Bakugo grits his teeth when he hears the crowd call Ejiro's name. It didn't matter; he would be left standing after this. Shoto had already fallen flat, so unless Deku took a dive to Croaker, then he would get to beat his ass the next round. And if he did, he would teach his bitch a lesson.

"Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the stage, master of disaster, the explosive king; put your hands together for KATSUKI BAKUGO!" he announced. Bakugo emerged from the tunnel and scowled at the smattering of cheers amongst the boos. When he heard some chants for Ejiro, he felt the anger rising. "After today, all you damn extras will be saying my name!" he growled as he stalked to the stage.

He looks pissed…maybe I can use this, Ochaco thought.

"His opponent, the Mistress of Gravity, The Queen of Float, my favorite, OCHACO URARAKA!" Mic said as the crowd was obviously behind her, cheering wildly.

"Mixed reaction from the crowd," Mic said. "With this tournament dominated by your class, Eraser Head, two more students are coming to the stage. Do you think Bakugo has recovered from that intense battle with Kirishima in the first round?"

"He could have benefited from more rest, that is for sure," Aizawa said, watching them take the stage. "Bakugo and Todoroki both issued challenges to Midoriya before the festival; one would wonder if he is looking past Uraraka. If he is, she will surprise him and advance to the next round."

Ochaco stood before Bakugo, "Oh, I thought I was fighting Ejiro for a moment with how the crowd chanted his name."

"Let them say whatever dumb shit they want round cheeks," He bit back. "Ultimately, they will call my name because you are just in my way."

"Sure thing there, Little Burst," she said, looking down her nose at him slightly. "You are like a little Pomeranian yapping all the damn time. Are you doing it so someone will finally pay attention to you?"

"What the fuck did you say?" he growled, nearly stepping towards her, his hands already popping.

"No matter how much you yap, you will always be a little dog begging for someone's attention," she smirked. "After I shut you up, you will know my name, just like Ejiro!"

"START. THE. DAMN. MATCH!" He growled at Midnight as he stepped back. All he could think of was how he was going to beat her down, break her; she would never dare to look at him again. He will humiliate her so severely that she drops from the hero course. Everyone he fought after would be the same. He prayed that Izuku was next; he was done letting these damn extras play in his world.

The call for the match to start was lost in the massive explosion that Bakugo let loose; Ochaco dove immediately to the side when she saw Midnight's hand even begin to twitch down. She felt the heat and force blow past her feet; she rolled, got to her feet, moved forward, and immediately dived to the side again, barely dodging another explosion. Again, but this time, she went the opposite direction; the fourth time, she juked one way and went forward, sliding to the side as the blast tore past her.

"I thought you were better than this," she yelled.

"DIE!" Bakugo roared; the blast he fired was so large that she couldn't dodge; she was blown back, as were vast parts of the arena. "GOT YOU BITCH!" he yelled.

Then he saw the colors of her uniform coming out of the smoke, he shouted again, another blast ripped forth, his arms fell limply at his side, he couldn't tell what sounds the crowd was making he had deafened himself but then barely heard it "STAR FALL!'

The crowd gasped when the first massive explosion ripped across the stage, trying to see through all the smoke, then they saw a black sports bra-clad Ochaco come leaping out of the smoke; the second explosion, she pressed her hands together and dove in through the smoke spearing Bakugo to the ground. The crowd went wild.

Ochaco felt him try to call out in pain; she felt her stomach about to lead a revolt from shifting from Zero Gravity to Gravity Fall so quickly. While training with Izuku, she discovered she could increase gravity and take it away. She had spent hours talking with Momo and Izuku about gravitational effects and ways she may use her new ability. Now was her time.

Bakugo recovered quickly; he figured she would try to negate his gravity if she got to him. Not barrel into him like a missile. She had tagged him, but there was nothing he could do about that; he rolled to try and throw her off, but she rolled through and landed on her feet.

He brought up his arm to blast her. She slipped to the side and slapped his arm down. The blast went off, but it was jerked violently down, and his hand slammed into the concrete. She tagged his other arm and did the same, both hands some broken bones. He was forced to a knee; she slid to the side and kicked his knee, driving him down. He exploited the concrete, sending shards into his face, but it also knocked her back, and his hands fell deeper into the hole he just made. Ochaco dove and tagged his calves, increasing their gravity as well. She stumbled to her feet; her head felt like it was about to split open.

This new aspect of her power would cause her near-migraine levels of pain. "Give up?" she said; she was not without heart, but when he just screamed some nonsense about beating her, she smiled. The thought of just beating him down into unconsciousness danced through her mind, but instead, she just stood up and walked away from him. Her back to him, she looked at Midnight. "He can't move, so unless you want me to beat a helpless student," she said loud enough for him to hear.

Bakugo yelled and threatened more and more explosions, and he fell deeper and deeper into the holes he was making, his legs locked in place, and his head and shoulders were already being pulled down.

"MATCH. KATSUKI BAKUGO IS UNABLE TO DEFEND HIMSELF. OCHACO URARAKA WINS!" Midnight announced.

Ochaco released her quirk and stumbled, grabbing her head in pain. Midnight steadied her as the crowd cheered; Katsuki pulled himself out of the hole. In a near frenzy, "I didn't give up! I wasn't done yet! THIS MATCH ISN'T OVER!" Midnight saw him raising his battered arms to fire again when she tore the shoulder of her suit. Gas flooded out towards him. He was asleep as his face planted onto the floor, and his face bounced.

"Excuse me," Aizawa said, his tone leaving no place for discussion.

Izuku Vs. Tsu

When Ochaco and Bakugo took the stage, the couple left the stands, walking hand in hand towards the locker rooms. Izuku went to break away from Tsu, but she held his hand fast. He looked at her; she shook her head. He could feel she didn't want to be apart; he felt it, too.

He smiled softly and led her into his locker room. He took a seat, and she resumed her position in his lap, her head resting against his shoulder. Their eyes closed as they listened to the broadcast of the fight. They could feel it welling inside them, the anxiety of coming to blows against the other.

It wasn't just him, nor was it just her; the thought of causing the other pain was difficult.

"No malice," she whispered. "No ill intentions; I know that you will still love me. You know that I will still love you. If we hurt each other, we will heal together in the medical ward. I know the burden you carry; I will carry it with you. Remember my Izuku," she turned his head to her and kissed him. The kiss was so full of love and warmth. "Our love will never falter, never break. This won't break us."

He returned her kiss, trying to cram all his feelings into it. "I love you so much, Tsu," he whispered. "Forever." He rested his forehead against hers.

"Forever," she echoed. They heard Ochaco declare the winner and got to their feet. "I will see out there, my mate."

"For our second fight of the competition, we have a bit of intrigue; not only did this bold young lady kiss her opponent before the second round for all to see, but she defeated a strong opponent in the first round to advance, now will this put a hold on a possible blossoming romance or will when she kicks him so hard he flies out of the stadium will just strengthen their bond," Mic called out.

"Everyone, everywhere, makes some noise for the Frog Princess of 1-A, the lady with a kick that may make Mirko proud, the poker face of a champion, the one and only TSUYU ASUI!" he roared.

Tsu stepped out, smiling, and waived to the crowd for a moment before walking to the stage; as her foot hit the stage, it happened again. The crowd sounded distant; the green borealis snaked across the sky. And she could feel it inside her, whispering to her like gentle waves upon that reflective shore. She listened to the call; it began again at her heart and spread out through her body, like the blood in her veins; it washed through her. Her skin shined with the thin layer of moisture; the camera flashed, and her class was stunned.

"Her opponent had a stunning victory over another favorite in the first round, the amazing victory we just witnessed the now heavy favorite for this year's tournament. Ladies and gentlemen, the young man who wants to change the game and the very young man who set the bar for student addresses," Mic was on the desk again. "You know his name, I know his name, the HEROES KNOW HIS NAME!"

"IZUKU, IZUKU!" chants broke out.

"IZUKU MIDORIYA!" Mic roared as the crowd blew up.

Izuku smiled and waved; as he saw her on the stage, he could feel and see it. She was different; for example, when she fought Ojiro, he could feel her heart beating. It was as if it was beating next to his, as their hearts began to beat as one, the sound of the crowd faded, the green Borealis from the dream world took over the sky, and the green light from the tower was now above him.

"Never alone," came a whisper. "Never will you walk alone." It was so strong and sure that it washed through him. As he stepped onto the stage, it all went back to normal. Tsu was staring at him, and he saw her mouth, "Never alone."

They took their starting positions; their class watched as neither was smiling, with looks of sheer determination and respect. The crowd stomped their feet when the green lightning surrounded his body.

"I was worried they wouldn't be able to do this," Mineta said. "I imagine it must be hard fighting someone you care about."

"It has to be hard, no doubt," Toru added. "I know it would make me hesitate."

"It is so pretty," they all turned to Koji's voice. He was staring at them with such admiration.

"What do you mean, Koji," Denki asked.

"They are saying so much to each other," he said.

"I don't hear a thing," Kyoka said, looking to the stage.

"Body Language," Momo said. "You can tell what they are saying?"

"People say so much with their bodies," Koji replied, "Most of the time, it is unconscious responses or a question of whether the other person will even notice. But not with them."

"BEGIN!" rang out across the stadium.

Izuku moved first and threw a right jab; as Tsu flipped backward with a bicycle kick, he barely managed to move his head to the side to avoid the strike. Tsu landed and went low with a leg sweep, forcing him to jump over her leg. With her powerful legs, Tsu pushed off and landed a devastating uppercut, sending him flying back and crashing to the ground.

Tsu pressed her advantage; she went airborne again, gracefully spinning and coming down at him with a double-leg stomp. He rolled to the side, the force of her impact spiderwebbing the stage. He reached out and rolled again, getting to a crouch in time to block an ax kick. Tsu felt him grab her leg, and in one motion, he spun, slamming her off the stage. He grabbed her by the waist when she bounced and drove her back down. Tsu let out a yell of pain; she drove an elbow into the back of his head, bouncing his face off the stage and breaking his hold.

She was on her feet before him, landing a running knee to his chest, toppling him back. She took a top position, trying for an elbow, and he got his arms up to block. She went for another; he blocked her again and pushed her up; she hadn't expected that force; he pushed her off him and created space, allowing him to return to his feet.

They were moving so fast that the crowd needed help to follow their attacks unless they landed.

Tsu came at him; at the last second, she went low to try and spring up with a spear to take him airborne; right as she began to come up, he thrust kick her right under her jaw, snapping her head back and sending her tumbling back. She rolled, managing to crouch when he feinted a left hook but landed an overhand right that thudded off the back of her head. She felt him roll over her back; she sprang forward and fired a wild donkey kick that thankfully landed.

He turned in time to get his bearings, but she landed a leaping spin kick and followed up with a kick to his midsection, then tried to land a crisp hit to his jaw. But his arm came up and blocked the shot; his counter jab snapped her head back. The right to the body lifted her off her feet; he followed through with the momentum, pulling her up and over his head, slamming her down.

He tried to land a downward right, but she deflected it; her legs came back out of nowhere, hooking him around the shoulders and yanking him over the top of her. In a mesmerizing feat, she rolled with the maneuver and had a mounted position with his arms trapped under her power legs. Her punches rained down on him.

Izuku pushed One for All higher, kipped up with Tsu still holding his arms, and slammed her down, breaking her hold and shattering the stage under them. She was still conscious and tried to fight him off while he advanced. He landed an elbow, and her legs flashed into a triangle hold. Again, he lifted her; the crowd held its breath momentarily. She cranked, hoping to take him out, but he slammed her down again, and her world went black.

He didn't even hear Midnight declare him the winner, the scrambled cradling her into his arms. Oblivious to the cameras on them, a few tears ran down his face as he softly touched her cheek, whispering her name. The silent arena watched as her eyes slowly opened, her hand coming to his cheek as they tenderly kissed.

The crowd exploded, startling them. They looked, and their faces were everywhere, her hand still on his cheek; they both blushed furiously. The medical bots came. He lifted her onto the skiff and walked beside it, holding her hand.

Rabbit Hero

Miriko or Rumi watched the entire battle wholly focused. Izuku caught her attention with his speech, and then they held it during the obstacle race, burning their names into her head with the Calvary Battle. She could see it in the subtle ways they reacted to each other. When she saw them take the stage, there was no doubt that they were bonded.

She wondered if it was just the girl or the boy; he didn't look like he had any animal mutation. Would Tsu step aside, would she be able to fight him, and would he use the bond against her? Tsu had smashed that to pieces with how they fought; it made Rumi doubt if they had a bond, the brutality, and viciousness with which they attacked each other.

Both were exiting the field with bruises and cuts, but when he won the way, he took her in his arms, seeing how she looked at him. She was once again damn near positive.

She called her assistant, "How do I send out those stupid Internship offers?"

"What?" her assistant replied. "Are you drunk?"

"No, damn it," Rumi growled. "I need to send out two internship offers. There is something that I have to know.

"Just give me their names, and I will send them to you."

"Izuku Midoriya and Tsuyu Asui," Rumi said, hanging up the phone.

Mina Vs. Fumi

Unfortunately for Mina, Dark Shadow could not be injured by her acid; she fought as hard as she could, even getting past him a few times and landing blows on Fumi before retreating. Dark Shadow, the gentleman did not pummel her, but he did force the ring out of the win.

There was a massive uproar when she and Eijiro returned to their seating section holding hands.

Momo vs. Reiko

Reiko's quirk almost lifted Momo and threw her from the arena until Momo created weighted bracers to decrease her weight, preventing Reiko from securing a fast and easy victory. It was a game of cat and mouse; whenever Momo created anything, Reiko quickly tossed it off the stage. Slowed by her additional weight, Momo made it a long, taxing fight. Reiko could not throw Momo from the stage but could yank on the weights to throw Momo off balance or to the ground.

Momo was getting desperate. The two girls had come together a few times, and in those moments, the crowd and their class were a bit stunned by how savage and brutal the fight was. The two took no prisoners, and Reiko even threw dirt on Momo's face. It was a vicious brawl when Momo got a hold of her for the last time. Desperation and hard blows were coming from all sides. Rocks and bits of concrete slammed into Momo; one cracked her on the temple, and she wobbled. Reiko tried to throw her off with her quirk, but in the scramble, Momo locked her legs around Reiko.

Reiko yelled and pushed her quirk, lifting both of them off the stage; Momo's blood poured from the gash on her head, her hand glowed, and a wet rag came to her hand. She shoved it over Reiko's face and fell to the ground. Reiko tried to use her quirk again; Momo pressed her chest to Reiko's face, her other arm around the girl's head, holding as tight as she could.

Suddenly, Reiko went limp; Momo quickly rolled off; she was on her back, barely able to stay conscious; she held her fist to the sky.

"Winner!" Midnight yelled. Midnight lifted the rag and sniffed it, turning her head. "Chloroform?" Momo could only nod

Present Mic.

"Wow, everyone, I mean wow," Present Mic said, sitting back in his chair. "That was not the fight I expected to see when those two took the stage; Reiko Yanagi's defeat eliminates any possibility of 1-B taking a podium spot, which means that your class will dominate the podium this year, Eraser Head."

"It would seem so," Eraser Head replied. "It is nice to see all the hard work my class has put in pay off, but that is not to take anything away from class 1-B; they came to fight today. There are a few different matchups, and I believe we could be telling a different story. They should be congratulated."

"Well said," Mic added. " With that, we will take a 20-minute break before we come back with the semi-finals, where we will have the defiant Ochaco Uraraka stepping onto the stage to take on break-out star of the tournament Izuku Midoriya." He let the cheers die down. "Lastly, the Prince of the Night Fumikage Tokoyami will battle with Warrior Princess Momo Yaoyorozu."
