Memories Of Her-Ch 12
The family sat and watched as Derek slept, it was obvious to them that he hadn't slept good in ages and was now finally getting the much needed rest and sleep that he'd been deprived of since he'd been with Savannah all of the past several months.
After a couple of hours JJ and Emily took Henry and Jack back to the house and put them to bed, they didn't want the boys to be loud and wake up the sleeping Derek, not long after that Dave and Hotch had excused themselves to go grab some coffee for everybody, well everybody but Penelope who had been drinking tea since she found out she was pregnant.
As Derek's wife, mother and sisters sat watching him sleep, they couldn't believe this was really happening, that Derek had been alive all of this time and being held against his will by Savannah Hayes, a woman that claimed to be head over heels in love with the man she'd kept caged up for the past several months as she tried to erase his memories of her and his life back home.
Fran looked at Penelope and said, "are you alright honey?", Penelope wiped away the tears that were streaming down her face and said, "he's alive Fran, he's alive and safe and here with us, this feels like a dream, a welcomed dream compared to the nightmare we've all been living since the day we thought he'd died".
Desi said, "why would she do that to him, she said that she loved him, you don't treat somebody that you love that way, you don't fake their death, kidnap and drug them for months in an attempt to take away their memories of the people they love".
Sarah said, "she'll pay for what she did and Derek will get better, he will get his memories back and then things will go back to normal", Penelope glanced down at her husband and then back to the three women sitting around her and said, "I certainly hope so Sarah, I certainly hope so".
When Dave and Hotch came back with coffee and tea they had also brought back some chocolate muffins and donuts from the deli up the street, Penelope took her tea and said, "thanks papa bear for the tea, but I don't want anything to eat", Dave said, "no can do kitten, you need to eat not only for you but for that baby growing inside you".
She looked up at him and said, "alright, alright I give up" and took one of the chocolate muffins and started slowly eating it and after she'd eaten it she looked up at the two men that were like a father and brother to her and said, "thank you, thank you so much", Dave winked at her while Hotch said, "any time Garcia, any time".
Penelope looked around the room and said, "didn't boy wonder go with you?", Hotch said, "no, he left a little while before we did, said he needed to go see somebody", Fran said, "we all know where he went, he went to see Savannah to see if he could find out what was going on in her mind when she did what she did".
Desi said, "you all said that Savannah was pregnant, you don't think that", Sarah said, "absolutely not, there is no way that the baby growing inside that crazy woman belongs to my brother", Penelope smiled and said, "I have to agree with Sarah because JJ and Reid said that he kept telling her that he wanted out so that tells me all that I need to know", the others nodded their heads yes in agreement.
Meanwhile at the police station Reid was currently sitting in an interrogation room waiting on the guards to bring Savannah in so that he could try to see if she would show any remorse for what she'd done, the entire time he sat there waiting he couldn't stop thinking about the man he thought of as an older brother, Derek Michael Morgan,
His attention turned to the door as it opened and Savannah accompanied by two guards was escorted into the room and cuffed to the top of the table, he then looked at the guards and said, "can we speak alone?", the guards nodded their heads yes and one said, "we'll be right out in the hallway" before stepping out into the hall.
Savannah looked at Reid and said, "welllllllllll wellllll if it isn't Spencer Reid, no offense but I was hoping that I would never see any of you people ever again", Reid said, "why Savannah, why did you fake Derek's death, kidnap and drug him while you kept him away from his family for months?", she sat there smiling at him.
When she didn't say anything he lost his patience with her and slapped the table with both hands and said, "WHY SAVANNAH WHYYYYYYYYY?", she looked at him and took a deep breath as she readied to speak.
