The Unexpected News

As time goes on you will expect things to be a bit more…confusing shall we say? RDJ and Lila will find out some shocking news. Lillian gets a shock when someone drops by for a job interview. And Blu has something important to tell the blue and gold macaw. So without any other explanations, let's get right back to it!

The Very Next Day…

The glorious rays of the golden sunshine had rodent gracefully to the centre of the sky. Casting a beautiful glow to brighten up the day over the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro.

Creating a warm glow that would not only make the day feel special, but make the people feel happy!

RDJ was the very first to wake up from the peaceful slumber, with one of his eyes peaking open to awaken the rays that pierced through the curtains.

"Mmmmm…Good morning my love…" RDJ heard the sweet coo of his girlfriend whispering in his ear. As he woke her up by moving his leg around her. Both of them nuzzling each other after the events of last night.

"Good morning to you too. Last night was…incredible!" He charmingly spoke as he lowered one of his hands to her waist.

"You are sure about that honey. You definitely will have me aching down there for a week or more." She giggled playfully, rubbing him on his chest lovingly.

The two of them shared sleepy smiles, savouring the tranquility of this luxurious morning.

With no immediate plans to get up any time soon. They had decided to indulge themselves in a few more moments of blissful laziness, snuggling under the covers together.

"Hey honey? Can we put the 8am news channel on? I wanna see what the weather is gonna be like today?" Lila sweetly asked as he nodded in agreement. Switching on the news channel immediately.

Hello the good people of Rio de Janeiro! I am your morning news reporter Tanya Morris! And today we bring you some very shocking breaking news here!

"Oh god. If I had a dollar for every time she said that, and no decent news had been reported, I'd be as rich as Mr Warbucks!" RDJ chuckled and leaned back on the bed.

"Are you using a character reference from Annie the musical?" The purple haired macaw giggled in amusement. Causing him to blush a light pink in amusement.

"Maybe…"

Breaking news here on the O Globo news channel! Twelve time felon Rodrigo Samars was released from The Carandiru House Of Detention today. After he plead guilty to sex trafficking women. Selling their children on the black market. And also for the rape and murder of seventeen women!

"Wow, that guy sounds a lot like the cab driver that tried to kill me." RDJ remarked as he got up from the bed briefly to do some morning stretches.

After claiming that he was not the alleged abuser or murderer, the police found no evidence that found him guilty of murder. So after being held in custody for several weeks. He took a plea deal of three years in prison. With a year on parole. Which if he violates, he will be given the maximum penalty of thirty years in prison!

"Not long enough if you ask me? Haha, what idiot would be stupid enough to do that?" He chuckled in amusement and began prepping to take a shower.

As his girlfriend was about to agree with his statement, she instantly paused on the spot in fear. As she had noticed that they have shown the mug shot of the man who was released today. And once she saw that photo…her heart dropped to the floor like a tonne of bricks.

"Ummm…H-H-Honey? You may wanna take a look at this…"

"Hold on sweetie, I'm just gonna grab my towel and…"

"Ummm…RDJ? You may wanna listen to this…" Lila grabbed the remote control and turned up the volume on the tv. Laying back on the bed in her underwear as the news was still going on.

The male parakeet himself was last seen leaving the prison, and has claimed that he intends to fix all of the mistakes he's made. Starting with something he's never finished when starting it…

RDJ grabbed the remote from the bed and muted it, just so he could comfort his girlfriend who looked awfully petrified about the whole situation.

"I don't fucking believe this!" RDJ sits down on the bed next to his girlfriend. Who instantly hugged him in comfort. Feeling a huge wave of anxiety wash over her.

"Oh no…Do you think he will be after us?" Lila sadly panicked at her beloved wrapped his arms around her.

"No! He wouldn't dare come after you. Because if he did…next time he will be going back to prison for the full sentence! Or, he will end up with a bullet in the back of his skull." He spoke with a lot of determination, despite the fact that the purple haired female was crying into his shoulder.

"But what if he does?! What if he hurts me? Or you? I can't lose you!" She cried as he held her even closer to him. Wiping away her tears with his fingers.

"Listen to me…" He lifted her head up with his finger to reassure her. "I won't let him hurt you…I promise!"

"Okay…Okay I trust you." She softened her expression and melted into his arms. As he stroked the back of her head in a gentle way.

"Alright, now I'm going to get in the shower."

"Any room for one more?" She seductively purred whilst slipping out of her underwear, grabbing her towel.

"Plenty…" He naughtily responded and slapped her on the butt. Making her yelp playfully before they closed the door of the bathroom. Having a shower together before starting the new day.

Let's Head To Lillian And Blu…

Lillian woke up from her sleep in a fairly quiet mood after the brief conversation that she had with her boyfriend the night before.

But she did get up early hours of the morning to check her social media. And one of the things she had noticed was the fact that someone from her childhood had contacted her via Messenger on Facebook. Asking to meet her after so many years.

After the way she was around Nico for the time being, she did feel like maybe asking her boss to possibly give her a job would make her feel better. Especially since they were close friends back in the day.

She was sat in the main office opposite a very stressed out Blu. Who was going through the resume that her friend had sent her via email. By the look on his face, he wasn't exactly impressed…But Lillian was hoping to convince him otherwise.

"And you are sure…that this isn't a huge waste of time?" Blu was asking the female canary sitting in front of him in his office. As he was going through what appeared to be a copy of someone's resume. "How do you know this person will be any good? Especially since they've got no nursing experience?"

"I didn't say anything to them about being a nurse here. I only told them that they may have a job here for them. It's not like we don't need the help around here?" Lillian defended her point, whilst she was adamant about this idea.

"We are looking for security guards and nurses! I cannot afford to splash out money on another high school drop out! Felipe was bad enough. I'm sorry miss Lilli…" Blu was about to finish his sentence, but soon his wife gave him a nudge like she had an idea.

"You know…you could always offer them the gardener position? That's a job that requires no experience?" The blue female suggested with a sweet smile.

"We already have a gardener. And he is pretty damn good at the job." He was referring to the blue w d gold macaw RDJ, who had been the gardener at the hospital for three years now. But maybe he's worth more than planting flowers and raking leaves.

"Yes…But his strength? His muscles? His ability to control himself under pressure? You did say that finding a new security guard was going to be a challenge." Jewel was clearly referring to RDJ, as she did believe that with the physical strength and resilience that he has. He would be the perfect security guard.

"What…RDJ as the security guard?" Blu rose his eyebrow in curiosity. "Do you think that he would be up for the task?"

"Why not? He'd be pretty good at it considering the fact that he did fill in when we needed him to help out every now and then. He's also been very observant with the security cameras. Plus, I think he would be able to control things well considering that he has the skills necessary to succeed at this." Jewel suggested and was about to begin typing out a new contract. "Come on honey? It's worth giving him a chance at the job. Besides, didn't you already find another man who was interested in the second security position? That way, you have two new security guards and a gardener all confirmed and in place on the same day."

"Ughhh…" Blu took his reading glasses off of his face and sighed in tiredness. Before putting them back on and cupping his hands on the table, agreeing to at least speak to the person Lillian was referring to. "How long will it take for them to get here?"

"Their Uber arrives here in one hour. She could have cancelled it at any time if you had refused." Lillian smiled widely, excited about the news that the proposal she presented was accepted by her boss.

"Oh it's a she? A friend of yours?" The blue spix's female beamed warmly.

"Yes! And I have to warn you in advance ummm…She can be a little sassy sometimes…" Lillian scratched the back of her head nervously.

"And you are telling this to us now?" Blu rolled his eyes and rubbed his face. "You know what? As long as she does the job well and she doesn't give me, the staff, or the patients any attitude. Then we will get along just fine."

"Oh don't worry sir! She isn't a bad person. She just likes to be a little sassy and assertive at times. But deep down she gets along with everybody."

"I hope so. Because last thing we need is someone giving us bad attitude." Blu answered and turned to his wide. "Please type up the contract for RDJ to take over the main position as the new security guard."

"Not a problem at all honey." Jewel nodded her head and proceeded to get back to work. "Shall I also type up the contract for…"

"Yes please sweetheart. And miss Lillian…I need you to do something for me." He smirked and gave a file and a pen to her.

"Sure. What do you need me to do?"

"Lillian, would you mind fetching RDJ when you see him next outside? As for now, can you head to room 409? That brown sparrow keeps chewing on his fingers thinking they are fish sticks again." Blu rolled his eyes and groaned just even mentioning it. As this particular patient must have been causing a lot of problems since he was sent there.

"Ughhh, didn't he chew his finger off last week?" She groaned herself and mentally face palmed herself with her hand irritably.

"Yes. And we had to surgically reattach it three times. Maybe it's best you bring the hand cones so it stops him from chewing them."

"Good point. I'll head there now." Lillian took the file of notes on the patient she was going to speak to, then left the office immediately. Leaving the couple alone to carry on their work.

"Let's just hope RDJ doesn't mind being the new security guard. Now…where is the number for that guy I spoke to on the phone two hours ago…" Blu was thinking in his head whilst rummaging through the papers on his desk.

Let's Check In On Nico And Pedro…

From the moment that Nico had opened his eyes this morning to welcome this new and inviting day. An unusual sense of disarray seemed to have taken control of his mind and emotions today.

His actions throughout the early morning to now were a clear reflection of his inner turmoil.

As he went about his usual routine of doing the laundry and taking all of the clean and dry clothes and bed sheets. As well as towels and blankets. Putting them on the cart and wheeling them around all of the used rooms for patients and staff. You couldn't help but feel a little bit of pain radiating from him.

It became evident that sometime was definitely amiss.

Instead of carefully separating the clothes by colour, he absentmindedly tossed them into the wrong baskets, creating a chaotic jumble of mismatched garments.

Even when it came to operating the laundry machines, Nico's usual meticulous nature seemed to have deserted him. As he had poured excessive amounts of detergent into each load, resulting in a soapy mess.

"Hmmmm…This is gonna be a long one today…" Nico thought to himself out loud whilst he grabbed his cell phone, checking his twitter feed whilst he was waiting for the washing machine to finish the current cycle. "I've got over fifteen hours worth of laundry in this room and it still takes an hour to wash everything? Wow, if only every laundry place was like this."

"Yo, my G! My bro! What is up?!" Suddenly, Pedro came bursting through the door like he had the best night sleep he had ever had in his entire life.

"Sup…" The male canary barely even glanced up from his phone screen, to acknowledge his presence.

"Woah, what's wrong with you this morning? You look like you woke up with a little case of no hanky panky." He chuckled with an amused grin. However Nico barely responded to the joke. "Bro?"

"What?" He looked away from his phone with an irritated expression.

"What the fuck is your problem? Lillian not making your dick wet?"

"Why don't you just butt out of my private shit bro." Nico grumbled before putting his phone away. "Don't worry. Everything is fine."

"Bull-Shit. Something has got to be fucking your brain like an elephant fucking a boulder."

"How many times do I have to…an elephant fucking a boulder? What have you been watching!" Nico rose his eyebrow a little in disgust. "Did you click on a link to one of those animal porn websites again? I keep telling you not to do that!"

"Hey, porn is porn bro. Whatever makes me more relaxed I'll do whatever." The chubby cardinal grinned whilst he noticed that one of the machines appeared to be rattling too much. Now that was very concerning indeed. "FUCK DUDE! YOU PUT TOO MUCH DETERGENT I…"

PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Suddenly the washing machine began to flood from the bottom, with too many suds coming out from the bottom. Indicating that Nico had put too much of the washing detergent in the machine.

As Pedro pressed on the open button to open the door, all of the water came flooding out and washed over his feet. Soaking him completely as he was now covered in thick soapy liquid.

If this wasn't enough to make him annoyed, he also noticed that a pair of red lingerie was mixed in with all of Pedro's white shirts. Now…

"Great…That's just fucking great! Now all my shit is fucking pink!" He noticed that all of his white shirts were now pink. Due to the silly mistake that Nico had made.

"I'm sorry okay? How was I supposed to know Jewel's red lingerie would be in there." Nico didn't really seem too bothered that he ruined his clothes.

"Sorry?! You are gonna have to buy me some white shirts bro!" Despite Pedro getting frustrated with his best friend. Nico luckily didn't even realise that Pedro begun slipping the lingerie into his back pocket. Most likely to have sone fun with later on, hoping Blu wouldn't notice this.

"Oh relax! You got them all from Saara Market for like $25! I'll slip you the money in your pocket later." He rolled his eyes and was about to ignore him again, but Pedro had enough.

"Alright, that is it! What is going on with you? You and I are not leaving this room until you tell me what is bothering you so much!" Pedro emphasised as he closes and locked the door to the laundry room from the inside. Putting the key away in his back pocket. "Start talking!"

Pedro, being the loyal and caring best friend that he was to Nico, made it his number one priority to uplift his best friends spirits. And offer him some much needed advice on how to improve his relationship with Lillian.

"Dude…" Nico tried to protest, but after Pedro put a hand on his shoulder. He knew that there was no way he was going to get out of this conversation.

"Please bro. Just tell me what is worrying you so much!" He smiled at him, as they both sat on top of the cart as it was on the break. So it wouldn't move with them sat on it.

"Okay…But this is a conversation that has to stay between you and me alright? None of the others have to know about what I am about to tell you right now in this very laundry room. Especially not even Lillian for reasons that you may have gathered already by now." The yellow canary man explained fairly seriously. As his best friend nodded his head and agreed with what he was going to say. "Haaaaa…I think…Lillian and I are…"

"Having sexual problems?" He completely jumped to the conclusion, and that lead his best friend to nod his head.

"Yep. And…I fear that, she may be…losing interest in me." Nico answered quite sadly, as he felt a very deep pain in his heart. "I mean, it's not like we aren't physically attracted to each other. Because we are! I love her body. It's just, our work schedules keep crossing over and we barely have any time to be intimate. So it's hard to get aroused, when both of us are working at different times."

"So why don't you ask me to cover your shift when she is off shift? Then you'll have the time?" Pedro offered to help him whenever he needed it. But Nico already may have thought of that.

"I thought of that already, but because Lillian and Lila are the only nurses here, it's almost most likely that she will constantly be on her toes. I mean, things have been tricky since Kelly left and Lexi was on parental leave. Now neither of them are here so it's like it permanently until we get another new nurse." He sighed heavily in response, swinging his feet from left to right whilst trying not to look too depressed about it. "I get that we work at different times and scything but…men have needs too?"

"Well, I wouldn't worry yourself too much bud! Cos I think Blu already found a new nurse last night. He posted an ad online advertising the position for a new nurse. And he got a response from someone who lives on the other side of Rio. But they won't be able to be here until tomorrow. So until then, you are gonna have to brave it out til she gets her schedule." Pedro smiled as he went to unlock the door. "Besides, I think it's good you guys haven't done it in a while."

"Oh really? How so?" Nico cocked his head sideways in curiosity.

"Cos when you guys do get that spark going again…you are gonna be havin' the best sex of your life!" The cardinal grinned naughtily and unlocked the door before leaving the room with his cart. With Nico sighing heavily and pushing his own cart.

Trying to get on with his day without any more stress.

One Hour Passes…

RDJ was all ready and prepped for a new day, getting into his gardening clothes. Picking up his tools, then heading to the elevator to start the job.

Once he made it to the bottom floor, he was about to head out the back door to the garden out back to fix the flower bed. But that was until he was interrupted by someone pressing the buzzer to the front door.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

"Who the hell is that?" The blue and gold macaw put his bag down on the security guard desk. Then proceeded to answer the front door.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

"I'm coming!" He called out to the door, as he grabbed hold of the handle, pulling the door open. To greet whoever was about to enter the building.

As soon as he had opened the front door, he noticed that there was a curvy looking cardinal woman standing there with a bright red suitcase.

The woman was wearing a black tight fitting dress that had a cleavage split right down the middle. Also her black feet were wearing sandals that matched with the black dress. So she liked to wear designer clothes.

She also had brown eyes along with a red face, even though her eyes were covered by her sunglasses that she was wearing on her face. She had curled back hair which was pretty stylish. She also had a black beak and nose.

She was a fairly tall and curvy woman, about the same height as Pedro. Not to mention she had black arms and a black tail. She was a very attractive young lady.

"Sorry, can I help you?" RDJ asked the woman politely as she was texting on her ell phone. "Hello? Are you going to make eye contact any time soon?"

"Hold up…Hold up…Hold up…" She was saying in between typing, as she was messaging a few people on a group chat she was in.

"How about I just close the door and you can hold your breath until I come back?" RDJ wasn't in the mood to be dealing with a random stranger at the front door. "If you are one of those Facebook live freaks, then I'm not interested."

"Wait…Wait…Wait…" She continued to hold her finger up, laughing at a few of the memes that were sent on the group chat.

"Ughhhh…" He rolled his eyes in frustration and leaned up against the door.

"Wait…Wait…Okay. I'm read…ready for you handsome!" The woman paused after putting her cell phone away. Then she slipped off her sunglasses and hung them on the top of the dress. "Who might you be…Big boy." She batted her eyelashes playfully as she was looking him up and down.

"RDJ. Who are you supposed to be?" He wasn't in the mood this morning for games. So he wanted to get right to the point.

"Oh I'm sorry…where are my manners?" The woman winked at him in a playful manner and extended her hand to shake with his. "I'm Sofia…But you can call me boo…" She playfully licked her beak after he pulled his hand away.

"Sofia is fine. Do you want to come in?" He was a bit uncomfortable with her flirtatious acts, and opened the door wider so she could walk through the main entrance.

"I should be asking you that question…but I'd put 'Me' on the end of that sentence…"

"Ummm, what?" He cocked his head to the side in confusion.

"Do you want to come…in me? You know? Cum? In me?"

"Ughhh…" He sighed in annoyance and felt very uncomfortable with her flirting.

"Ooooh, shy are we? That's okay, I'm usually…Whoaaa…" As Sofia was about to step inside, she tripped over the wooden sill on the floor. Forcing RDJ to extend his arms and catch her before she could fall over. Intentionally or unintentionally, that was remained to be seen. "I'm sooo clumsy! What a silly girl I am…"

"Are you okay there Sofia?" RDJ showed concern for the young lady, who was narrowing her eyes and playfully grinning at him.

"With big muscles like yours…I'd be okay baby…" She continued to be very flirtatious with him, but he wasn't going to let this continue any longer.

"Okay miss. I think you have misread this entire situation here." RDJ stood confidently as the cardinal pulled her suitcase through.

"What do you mean?" She rose her eyebrow playfully.

"I am in a committed relationship with someone. And I don't think she'd appreciate that you are coming onto me. And I don't appreciate it either." He was confident about saying this, because he was so deeply in love with Lila, that anyone flirting with him wasn't going to work on him at all.

But that didn't stop her from trying…

"Well I don't see her? Do you?" Sofia still continued to try and seduce him, even as much as to pulling her cleavage down a little bit more.

"Look, you are a very attractive woman. But I am with an incredibly beautiful, smart, funny, caring, and sexy woman. Who I love very very deeply! I'm sorry if you got the wrong idea here, but I'm not going to repeat myself again! Do I make myself clear?" He questioned her in a demanding manner, as he was very strong minded and didn't fall for her flirtatious acts at all.

"Very clear. I'm…I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you…" She scratched the back of her head awkwardly.

"It's fine. Now, what is your purpose here Sofia?"

"Okay. Let's start from the beginning. Hi! I am Sofia. The new gardener!" She announces herself again to RDJ, giving him a friendly wink and shaking his hand.

"Wait what?!" He responded in shock as he was completely unaware about this.

"Yeah? I got offered the job this morning after I…"

"I'm sorry Sofia but…there has to be some kind of mistake here? I'm the gardener." RDJ defended his case and took off his gloves.

"They told me that they were in need of a gardener, and here I am? I'm not trying to take your job or anything. I was offered a job. So I was under the assumption that the gardener position was available?" Sofia answered honestly with a confused look on her face.

"Excuse me…"

Scene Cuts Briefly To Blu…

"You are so beautiful…" He whispered in his wife's ear as they were sharing a couple of cups of coffee. Drinking from each other's mugs, then kissing each other passionately.

BANG!

"WHAT THE HELL DUDE?! YOU'RE FIRING ME?!" RDJ suddenly kicked the door open even though it was locked from the outside. And he was so furious that busting the door down felt like nothing.

"Who is it?" Blu sarcastically asked with a slight chuckle, but his wife was a little nervous due to how annoyed RDJ looked.

"Oh, you think this is funny do you? Some random chick turns up and tells me that she is the new gardener?! So in that case…it has lead me to believe that I've been fired!" He rudely snapped and slammed the door shut. But it fell down from the door frame, due to the force that the door had been kicked down. Snapping it off of its hinges.

"RD…"

"No Blu! You are gonna listen to me!" He rested both his hands on the front of his desk and rested on them whilst talking to him. "I have done a freakin' good job since I took over from Felipe. And I've done everything that I was supposed to…"

"RDJ, listen to…"

"Let me finish! I worked my ass off to pay you guys back for your kindness in believing me after it was confirmed that I didn't kill my sister!"

"RDJ! WE'RE NOT FIRING YOU!" Jewel finally cut him off and calmed him down gently after his outburst.

"You're not?" He softened his expression after hearing this, and decided that he was going to let them explain themselves, without being rude and interrupting them. Or cutting them off mid sentence.

"No! In fact, we have got a bigger opportunity for you. That involves better pay." Blu explained with a smile. Noticing that Jewel was opening up a locker with a key, pulling out some boxes that has RDJ's name written on it.

"What are those?" He asked curiously as the blue female placed the boxes on the table in front of him.

"I never mentioned anything to you before because I didn't know how to tell you…But we need you to be the new security guard. Well, one of the two new security guards." Blu smiled as he opened up one of the boxes and have him a vest with the security word along the back.

"Me? The security guard? Really!" He seemed quite pleased with this job opportunity. That he began trying on sone of the gear.

"Is that a yes?" Jewel giggled, noticing him putting a few items on the security belt. Including a torch, taser, pepper spray and hand cuffs.

"I'd love to!" RDJ beamed and stood tall confidently.

"Great! Just sign here…" Jewel placed a contract down on the desk in front of him. With a section that showed where he needed to sign to confirm that he would be the new security guard.

"Great!" RDJ couldn't wait to pick the pen up and sign the contract. Once he did so he placed the pen back down and Blu shook hands with him as well as Jewel.

"Congratulations RDJ. You are now officially a security guard! Your first shift starts in two hours!" The male doctor smiled after confirming the new appointment.

"Why in 2 hours?"

"We have got sone new patients being transferred here and…well…We are going to need you ready and alert!" The blue man confirmed and peaked his head out from behind him. "Okay, we will need to speak to miss Sofia now to confirm her position. So can you please for now head to the back warehouse and begin preparations for the arrivals."

"What am I supposed to do?" The blue and gold man asked in concern.

"The police are sending their riot squad to prevent any further violence or chaos when they are sectioned here. When they arrive just listen to the chief officer and they will tell you everything that you need to do! Now go!"

RDJ nodded his head and was about to leave the office, only to notice that the hinge on the door snapped off. "I'll fix this…"

"Go!"

Ooooh! Things are getting a bit more intense now aren't they? RDJ and Lila have realised that the cab driver had been released from prison. Nico and Pedro had a talk about Nico's sexual problems with Lillian. We say hello to Sofia the cardinal, who will be replacing RDJ as the gardener. Whilst he takes over as the new security guard.
