Chapter 34-Cage's plan

Clarke's P.O.V

Everybody stood in Jake's house. "So what did you figure out?" Murphy asks.

"We think Nia could be working with Mount Weather," Clarke says.

"What?" Octavia says.

"Roan's people killed a mountain men spying on his camp, they had everything, a map of every clan. They knew where everything was. Now they could have gotten that from a grounder they took but you'd think they would have used it by now if they did. We can't find Nia, we've searched for three months. It's possible."

"If that's true, it means they know everything," Octavia says.

"We know," Lexa says.

"We also think we know the reason they are taking grounders," Clarke says. "I don't think they can survive on the ground."

"You think the radiation kills them?" Jasper asks.

"Roan found the spy in this," Clarke says as she grabs the hazmat suit. "The second he took it off him, the spy died, his symptoms are just like radiation poisoning."

"If they can't survive, why can we?" Monty asks.

"Solar radiation," Kane says.

"So, they're trying to find a way to survive on the ground," Abby says. "The blood wouldn't do that, your blood might help them, but if they got one of us, they could take our bone marrow and that would allow them to survive," Abby says.

"So what do we do with this, we still can't do anything until the Ark falls," Bellamy says. "If Nia is working with them, then we're at their mercy."

"The good thing is, these suits only allow them to stay outside for so long before they have to go back to Mount Weather. Which means they can't go as far of Polis and get back to Mount Weather alive," Clarke says.

"But they could get here?" Monty asks.

"If they know the terrain well enough," Raven answers.

"So what do we do? Waiting seems like a stupid ass idea," Harper says.

"We don't have any other options," Lexa says. "If they are watching us, we will kill them when we catch them, until then, we need to continue what we've been doing. We need to prepare for the Ark, for Jaha."

"Make sure someone is watching the woods. If we get lucky, we'll find one with information that will help us," Clarke says. "We'll stay till tomorrow and then we'll head back," Clarke says and they nod as they start to leave the house.

Cage's P.O.V

Cage walks into Dante's office. "So I've been thinking about your plan," Cage says.

"What about it Cage?" Dante asks.

"I think it is dumb, Nia has given us everything we need. We could end this war tonight."

"We will not do that," Dante says. "There is a plan Cage and we will follow it, do you understand. I am the leader of our people and I am doing what is best for them," Dante tells him. "Now have you come in here with any information that is actually going to help us."

"We need more reapers," Cage says. "Have a good day, Mr. President," Cage says before he leaves the office. He stops beside a guard named, Emerson. "Sent all three of them out. Let me see Morgan before he leaves."

"Understood, sir," Emerson says and Cage nods as he walks away.

Twenty minutes later Cage opens his door and looks at a guard named Aaron Morgan. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Cage asks.

"Those savages killed my brother, yes, I am sure, sir," Morgan says.

"You are doing our people a great service and you will be remembered as a hero."

"Thank you, sir."

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke walks into Jake's office and looks at him. "You know, when your daughter comes to visit you, you're supposed to spend time with her," Clarke says as she sits down.

"I'm just thinking," Jake says as he motions for Clarke to sit down.

"About?" Clarke asks.

"Everything," Jake answers. "It's almost been a year since we left the Ark. A lot has changed."

"Most of the change has been good," Clarke tells him. "How's it going with Mom?"

"We're separated," Jake tells her.

"Can't say I'm surprised," Clarke says. "Are you okay, Dad?"

"Yeah, sweetie, just trying to keep busy," Jake says. "Come on, it will do me some good to get out of this house."

Clarke nods as they leave the room.

Charlotte's P.O.V

Charlotte sat in her cell, she looks at the door as it opens. "Come on, kid," The guard says. Charlotte sighs before she follows him out of the cell. They walk through the sky box until the reach the visitor room. She looks at Charles who sat at the table.

"Sit down Charlotte," Pike says and Charlotte nods as she sits down and the guard leaves the room.

"It's been three months since your great leader hit me. I was hoping that after you would leave me alone," Charlotte says.

"Charlotte, Jaha is preparing, he is training as many guards as he can. He is using fifty of the seats on the dropship to send guards down."

"Why tell me?" Charlotte asks.

"Because, I want to save the people of the Ark, Charlotte, and I believe that Jaha could be leading them to their death. On a warpath."

"Do you think I can help you?" Charlotte asks.

"I think you're the only one who knows what Kane's plan was," Pike says. "I know you do not trust me, Charlotte, and you have no reason, but I swear to you. I only want to keep the people of the Ark safe."

"Wait, if they're are only going to be fifty spots on the dropship, what will happen to me."

"You're going," Pike says. "Jaha is leaving the less dangerous offenders on the Ark. You, the girls you've been with, Blaire, and Zoe Monroe and Atom, they're all going. Charlotte, I am going to be completely honest with you right now. All Jaha is concerned about is killing John Murphy, Marcus Kane, and Jake Griffin, he does not care who dies as long as he gets that. He has no intention of saving the people of the Ark. Now I believe that there is someone who can save the Ark, I have an idea, but no one on the Ark can do it and we still don't know if the Earth is survivable, but with the right instructions, it might be possible to save everybody."

"Who can give the right instructions?" Charlotte asks.

"Jake Griffin."

Wells's P.O.V

Wells watched up behind Murphy as he watched Emori and Otan train. "Pretty good fight, huh?" Wells asks with a smirk.

"Just seeing how they are doing? Since they moved here, they've both done pretty good, even though Emori has one hand that she can use," Murphy says.

"You seem to be pretty focused on Emori," Wells says.

"Are you implying something?" Murphy asks as he looks at his best friend.

"The great loner John Murphy has a crush," Wells says.

"Shut the hell up," Murphy says. "I do not have a crush."

"Sure, you don't, as someone who was in love with his best friend for most of his life, I know what a crush looks like."

"I'll cut your tongue out,' Murphy says as he starts to walk away. "How are you doing?"

"I'm fine. Why?" Wells asks.

"Everyday brings us closer to a war with your father," Murphy says.

"You're asking if I'm prepared to watch the Commander kill my father?" Wells asks as he looks at Lexa who was talking to Jake and Clarke.

"I'm asking if you're prepared for the possibility that your best friend will kill you father?" Murphy replies making Wells looks at him. "You know it's a possibility."

"Do you think there is only way for my father to live. I know he's an asshole but..."

"He's still your father," Murphy says. "Don't get me wrong, I hate him, but I don't want you to watch him die. I'm going to make you a promise, Wells. If there is anyway to save Jaha. I'll help you do it."

"He killed your father," Wells says. "Why would you want to save him?"

"You know, I hate your father for what he did to mine, but the weird thing is. If he never did that, I would have never met you. You're my family, Wells. My brother, and if that means I have to help you save your asshole of a father, I'll do it."

"Thanks," Wells says. "Also just to make it clear, I don't have to worry about watching my best friend kill my Dad. Cause I know you wouldn't."

Murphy nods with a grin as Bellamy motions them over.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke walks into the medical hut and looks at her mom as she organizes their supplies. "You come here to yell at me?" Abby asks.

"No," Clarke says as she walks up beside her. "Dad told me."

"You don't seem very surprised," Abby says.

"I'm not," Clarke says. "You and Dad had too many problems after everything that happened," Clarke says.

"Now my ex-husband and daughter hate me. It probably would have been easier if I stayed on the Ark," Abby says.

"I don't want to hate you Mom," Clarke says. "I know things have been bad between us the last couple of months, but it doesn't mean we can't fix it. Maybe in a week, you can come to Polis and we can spend some time together and you could get to know Lexa," Clarke offers.

"I'd like that," Abby says.

"Good, now come on, It's dark, we should get to sleep."

Cage's P.O.V

Cage walked through Mount Weather until he reached the control room where Emerson was with two other guards. "Are we ready?" Cage asks.

"Yes, they have all reported in the coordinates," Emerson says as Nia walks in.

"We're ready?" Nia asks Cage who nods.

"Would you like to do it sir?" Emerson asks as Dante walks in.

"What the hell is going in?" Dante asks.

Dante nods to the two guards who nods as one of them grabs Dante and puts cuffs on him. "There has been a change in leadership, sir."

"Cage what the hell is going on?" Dante asks.

"I'm keeping our people safe, Dad. Take him to his room, do not let him leave," Cage says.

"Cage do not do this!" Dante says as he is taken out of the room.

"Would you like the honors Mr. President?" Emerson asks.

"Of course," Cage says as he presses the button.

No one's P.O.V

The night was silent as a silo opened and three missiles came out of it flying in the sky towards their destinations. One after another the missiles were launched. Three explosions could be seen from all over. On the road Costia stopped her horse and looked at the explosion in Polis and Tondc and then the finale one hit down. "Harper," Costia says as he pushes her horse forward towards the Skaikru village.

Thanks for reading, next chapter our group most try to survive the attack and find each other as people in Polis and Tondc do the same, Costia goes looking for Harper as Cage talks with Dante. Sorry for not uploading, I was moving. As always suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
