A triple threat. Mike stews over it while walking along the beech early that Wednesday. He stands by some rocks and tries to relax as he breathes in the crisp morning air. "Think I have a chance?" he asks, barely blinking when a familiar head pops up between the formation and frowns at him. "At Wrestlemania?" he clarifies, picturing Seth and Finn in their obnoxious gear, working against him and taking him out early so he has no chance to even come close to being the longest running Intercontinental champion of all time.
Morrison blinks and slowly climbs up to sit next to Mike, his hands hanging between his knees as they stare out over the licking waves of the ocean. "Yeah, I think," he says. "I mean, you're sneaky and smarter than most give you credit for. If anyone could outlast Finn and Seth, it'd be you."
Mike lays back and lets the early morning sun wash over his face. "You know, I'm gonna choose to believe you." He nudges him. "I knew I looked you up at this ungodly hour for a reason."
John smirks. "You mean for more than my sparkling personality and impressive wit?" Mike smirks at him and they sit quietly for a minute before John sighs. "Either way I'm fine with keeping you company sometimes. It feels like we barely see each other anymore."
"I guess that's what happens when I'm filming a ton of shows and you're hijacking a bunch of different wrestling feds. I need to come take over your yoga mornings just to talk with you sometimes while my wife and daughter sleep."
"This is starting to sound kinky," John cracks, tossing some pebbles into the silt below them. "But really, man, you'll be fine. One way or another, you always figure something out. It'll be alright."
He nods. "Now Maryse is on my case because she wants me to protect Heath more, but I'm already struggling to deal with my own issues, and keeping Bo and Axel out of too much trouble is a lot of things to focus on during the road to Wrestlemania." He sighs and closes his eyes. "This is probably the most peace and quiet I've had in... ever."
John chuckles. "You're welcome," he says, nudging Mike.
Mike rolls his eyes but relaxes and drifts, listening to the waves below them with a small smile spreading across his face.

By Monday, Mike is feeling a little more confident and he hosts MizTV with both Finn and Seth, relieved when his attempts to sow dissension between them works well enough; although they DO attack him, it leads to a match between Seth and Finn later in the night, which Mike gets to sit in the back and watch, Bo, Axel, Heath and Rhyno all using his locker room to get ready for the tag elimination match that will finish the night off.
He feels relieved that at least Maryse won't have as much to worry about with Bray staying away from Heath... but then Braun comes to the ring and eliminates the vast majority of everyone in the ring, ending up being the one-man team who will be going to Wrestlemania. Everyone looks downtrodden when they meet up in his locker room later, Mike sighing quietly. "This is seeming like the screwiest Wrestlemania season ever," he says, scrubbing at his face.
The others nod and he claps Heath on the shoulder, breathing a little easier now that he doesn't have to worry about Maryse killing him should something happen to the father of her soon to be born daughter. "Better go call Maryse and let her know you're ok." Heath nods with a tired smile before leaving with his phone. Mike then turns to the others. "While we wait on him, let's go get something to drink and maybe some food if we can find anything at this hour. My treat."
This cheers everyone up a little and they follow Mike to find something appetizing while they wait for Heath.
