Virtue and Venom: Chapter 42
With Naruto
Naruto slashed at Asuma who blocked Naruto's trench knives with his kunai; Asuma was sending wind chakra to the kunai in order to strengthen it despite it not being made of chakra conductive metal.
Naruto followed up with another slash which Asuma dodge before spinning around aiming a stab towards Naruto's temple; Naruto ducked under the kunai and proceeded to upper cut Asuma with the knuckle guards knocking his head up.
Naruto using his other hand slashed Asuma across the stomach creating a decent amount of damage; however Asuma recovered and kicked Naruto in the chest knocking him away.
Asuma looked down to this abdomen and saw that it was not reforming 'his attack worked' Asuma thought "Naruto; your attack worked, what did you do".
"I pumped some of the nine tails chakra into my knives" Naruto said making Asuma go wide eyed "it can cut better then if I just use my wind chakra". Asuma nodded.
"Well keep on using it; I think that's how you can beat me" Asuma said as he looked at his 2 kunai; the edges were chipped and damaged meaning the kunai were no longer good to use. Asuma tossed them at Naruto who knocked them out of the air; Asuma pulled out another pair of kunai and got into his stance "keep on your toes Naruto".
"I will sensei" Naruto said; both Naruto and Asuma looked at each other for a moment before both men charged at each other.
With Mamushi
"Hyaaah" Mamushi shouted as she swung her scythe at Karin who dodged and retreated "come back here and take your ass kicking like a man". Mamushi shouted as she ran after Karin as Mamushi ran after her her head started to hurt 'ow that headbutt she gave me earlier still hurts' she thought.
As Karin ran away she felt Mamushi's chakra fluctuate again before going back to normal 'what the hell is that' Karin thought before she turned around and launched her chakra chains towards Mamushi.
Mamushi saw the chains coming towards her and got her scythe ready; Mamushi used her scythe to block the first chain before dodge in the second and third chain. The fourth chain came towards Mamushi and she put her scythe in front of her to block it.
Karin smirked as she changed the angle and the chain wrapped around the scythes handle; Karin pulled the scythe out of Mamushi's grasp and threw it into the distance.
"What you going to do now" Karin said "you don't have a weapon anymore"; Mamushi looked around in a panic before she saw a boulder the size of a fridge laying on the ground. Mamushi ran over and wrapped her arms around the boulder; Mamushi began to lift the boulder off of the ground.
"Hnnnnn…." Mamushi strained as she lifted up the boulder making Karin's eyes go wide "come on you stupid rock".
'No way… is she-' Karin began until Mamushi successfully lifted the boulder over her head; Mamushi was now red in the face and her arms and legs were shaking.
"Hey red; catch" Mamushi shouted as she threw the boulder at Karin.
"Ahhhh" Karin screamed as she dumped out of the way as the boulder flew past her and knocked down a tree; "holy shit" Karin said before she refocused on Mamushi who was making her way towards her at full speed.
Mamushi jumped into the air and aimed a flying kick towards Karin; Mamushi kicked Karin in the chest and sent her flying until she sent her chains into the ground stopping herself. Karin coughed as she tried to regain her breath.
"I don't need a weapon to beat you" Mamushi said looking at Karin "now get ready for an ass kicking"; Karin got up and focused on Mamushi who got back into her stance.
'I need to end this quickly' Karin thought.
With Sasuke
Sasuke dodged one of Kabuto's chakra scalpels and countered with a slash to Kabuto's throat; Kabuto ducked his head back but was then kicked in the gut by Sasuke.
Kabuto bent forward from the hit and Sasuke followed up with a knee to Kabuto's face; Kabuto's head was knocked back and Sasuke used this opportunity to stab Kabuto in the chest.
Sasuke smirked as he pulled his tanto out of his chest and took a few steps back "y-you bastard" Kabuto said as he fell to a knee "y-you killed me". Suddenly Kabuto got a smile on his face as he looked at Sasuke and Sasuke's smirk faded "Just kidding".
Kabuto used this moment to charge at Sasuke who threw up his guard; Kabuto began to slash at Sasuke with his chakra scalpels and Sasuke began to dodge the oncoming attacks. Kabuto kept pressing on his attacks and was able to land a few hits on Sasuke.
Kabuto first was able to cut Sasuke across his cheek just under his left eye causing a shallow cut to form, the second wound was when Kabuto cut Sasuke across his chest.
Sasuke jumped back to gain some distance 'how the hell is he alive; I stabbed him in the chest' Sasuke thought; Sasuke looked at where he stabbed Kabuto and saw that there was no wound 'where the hell is the wound'.
'Hmph; nice try Sasuke' Kabuto thought 'you may be fast but my healing is faster; lost a little blood but I'm not too worried'. "What's wrong Sasuke" Kabuto said as he got back into his stance "cold feet".
"No" Sasuke said as he also got into his stance "the only thing about to be cold is your corpse when I'm done with you".
With Anko
Anko was hopping among the trees as she threw another volley of kunai towards Mikoto who was right on her heels; Mikoto used her sword to knock the projectiles out of the air.
Anko landed on another tree branch and Mikoto jumped overhead and turned her sword downwards and descended upon Anko; Anko seeing this waited for Mikoto to get close before she put her plan into action.
When Mikoto was only a foot above Anko, Anko proceeded to fall backwards while still using the tree walking technique; Mikoto plunged her sword into the tree branch up to the hilt as she missed Anko.
Anko using acrobatics came up behind Mikoto from under the tree branch proceeded to kick her in the back and knocking her off the tree and towards the forest floor. Anko go back up to the branch and grabbed the sword still in the branch and pulled it out.
Anko now with the sword in hand jumped down towards Mikoto who was down below.
Mikoto landed in a crouch and looked up towards Anko but saw Anko coming towards her.
"Sorry about this" Anko said as she came down with an overhead chop; the sword hit Mikoto in her left shoulder and sliced through her. Mikoto's arm was severed and Mikoto attempted to retaliate with a punch to Anko's face.
However Anko was able to stop the attack first by bringing up the sword and slicing off Mikoto's other arm; Anko finished her attack by launching her snakes towards Mikoto.
The snaked wrapped around Mikoto restraining her before her arms could reform; Anko let out her breath and spoke.
"Holy crap that was tiring" Anko said as she took a seat on the ground "let me catch my breath".
Mikoto smiled and spoke "well at least you were able to stop me" Mikoto said "so since we have a moment to ourselves; what do you want to talk about".
"Ummm… let see… do you know Kakashi Hatake" Anko said and Mikoto nodded.
"Oh yes Mintato's apprentice; what about him" Mikoto said.
"I'm dating him" Anko said with a smile.
"Really" Mikoto said astonished "wait… did you see what was behind the mask"; Anko smirked and nodded.
"Oh yeah; wanna see the picture" Anko asked and Mikoto nodded vigorously.
"Yes please; I had a bet with Kushina that he was handsome" Mikoto said "Kushina thought he had a cleft lip"; Anko pulled out the photo and showed it to Mikoto who went wide eyed. "Wow… if Kushina was alive she would owe me some money" Mikoto said.
With Naruto
Naruto and Asuma were still clashing blades as neither were able to gain an upper hand; Asuma slashed at Naruto with his kunai and Naruto was able to block the attack with his tench knife.
Naruto countered by hooking his arm around Asuma's wrist and performing a disarm by knocking the kunai out of his hand; Asuma was disarmed but not out of the fight as he kicked Naruto in the gut.
Naruto coughed out his breath and Asuma used this chance to attack Naruto; Asuma using his other kunai aimed a stab at Naruto's chest. Naruto seeing this brought up his trench knife to block it but Asuma changed the angle at the last moment and stabbed Naruto in the arm.
"Gah" Naruto shouted in pain as the blade went through his arm and pierced through the other side; Naruto using his other trench knife slashed at Asuma's arm.
Naruto cut off Asuma's hand and effectively stripping Asuma of his last weapon; Naruto pressed on with his attack and slashed Asuma across his abdomen once more before Asuma jumped back and picked up his kunai.
"You're almost there Naruto" Asuma said as he gripped his kunai "just a little more and this'll be over".
Naruto groaned as he took out the kunai from his arm and threw it away "I hope so; I need to go and find pervy sage and Anko" Naruto said as his wound began to sizzle and heal with help from the 9 tails.
Asuma and Naruto both got into their stances and glared at each other; Naruto focused on Asuma and tried to decide on what he wanted to attack. Naruto took in a breath and concentrated; Naruto and Asuma both charged at each other at full speed.
Naruto and Asuma both closed the distance and slashed at each other with their blades; Naruto had a gash across his chest and put his hand on the wound to stop the bleeding. Naruto turned around and looked at Asuma.
Naruto was able to cut off Asuma's head destroying the seal that was inside Asuma; Naruto looked on as Asuma's body began to crumble into dust as it fell to the ground. Asuma dissolved into nothing leaving only the body of the sacrifice that was used for the jutsu.
Naruto had a single tear fall from his eye as he turned away "Goodbye Asuma sensei" Naruto said before running off to find Anko and Jiraya.
With Sasuke
Sasuke and Kabuto were still fighting as neither were able to get and edge on the other 'this is getting annoying' Sasuke thought 'he's just wasting my time; and using the Susanoo or Amaterasu on him will be a waste of chakra' Sasuke thought. Sasuke jumped away and began to go through strategies in his head.
'What would Naruto do in a time like this' Sasuke thought.
Sasuke imagined Naruto in his head "Fuck this; Multi- Shadow clone jutsu" imaginary Naruto shouted as he created a hundred clones and charged. Sasuke sweat dropped at this and began to think again.
'Ok… how about Anko' Sasuke thought; Sasuke imagined Anko in his head.
"Fuck this; eat paper bombs dick" imaginary Anko shouted as she took out kunai with paper bombs and began blowing everything up. Sasuke sweat dropped a second time and tried again.
'Goddamn it… Mamushi' Sasuke thought; Sasuke imagined Mamushi in his mind.
'Fuck this; frontal attack' imaginary Mamushi shouted as she grabbed her scythe and ran ahead with a battle cry. Sasuke sweat dropped a third time as he realized all 3 of the strongest friends were complete idiots.
Kabuto seeing Sasuke in deep thought spoke up "what's wrong Uchiha; feeling helpless" Kabuto said. Sasuke looked at Kabuto with narrowed eyes and spoke.
"Fuck this; Susanoo" Sasuke shouted; Sasuke's chakra flared and formed around him until a skeletal warrior appeared. Sasuke looked at Kabuto with an annoyed look "what's wrong Kabuto; feeling helpless" he said.
Kabuto looked on at Sasuke's Susanoo and began to rethink his strategy 'I think a tactical withdrawal is in order' Kabuto thought as he turned tail and ran away shocking Sasuke.
"Hey, get back here coward" Sasuke shouted in anger "damn it; well I guess the 'fuck it' plan worked… although not as intended". "I better go and find Mamushi" Sasuke said before he ran off.
With Mamushi
Mamushi dodged another one of Karin's chakra chains and rushed towards her; Karin was trying her best to fight Mamushi but was having a hard time as Mamushi was able to avoid her attacks very easily.
Karin sent two of her chains towards Mamushi; the first chain missed as Mamushi ducked but the second chain wrapped around her foot. Karin smiled at this and pulled Mamushi toward her at full speed; Karin balled up her fist as Mamushi closed in.
"Take this psycho" Karin shouted; Karin punched Mamushi in the head full force making her head cock back. Karin in one final move used her chain to lift Mamushi up and slam her onto the ground; Mamushi hit the ground hard and coughed up some blood before passing out.
Karin let out a breath of relief as she deactivated her chains 'finally over' Karin thought; Karin began to feel Mamushi's chakra fluctuate erratically inside her body "what the hell is-" Karin began but stopped when a pair of feet landed behind her.
Karin turned around in time to see Sasuke behind her with his hand raised; Sasuke proceeded to chop her on the back of the neck knocking her out. Karin fell to the floor and Sasuke spoke.
"You should've kept your guard up" Sasuke said as he kneeled down next to Mamushi and began to shake her "Mamushi, hey, wake up". Mamushi began to groan as she opened her eyes.
"Ow" Mamushi said as she began to sit up "that hurt"; Mamushi looked at Sasuke and smiled. "Hey Sasuke, you're done with your fight; where's the red haired girl" Mamushi asked and Sasuke pointed to Karin who was lying down unconscious "ha serves her right".
Mamushi hopped back up and Sasuke spoke "we need to go find Jiraya and Anko; can you walk" he asked and Mamushi nodded.
"I just need to get my scythe" Mamushi said as she looked around "there you are"; Mamushi spotted her scythe and picked it up. "Ready to go" Mamushi said and Sasuke nodded.
"I'll carry her" Sasuke said picking up Karin "she could have more information we could use"; Mamushi nodded and both ran off in search for the others.
With Anko
"This is so undignified" Mikoto said as Anko dragged her along with her snakes.
"Sorry but I don't think I can lift a one-forty pound woman and two giant snakes" Anko said as she pulled her along 'I knew I should've packed a sealing scroll' Anko thought.
"Anko sensei" came a shout; Anko and Mikoto turned and saw Naruto coming up "you're alright; I'm so glad to- who the hell is this". Naruto pointed at Mikoto and Anko spoke.
"Sasuke's mom" Anko said making Naruto go wide eyed "long story".
"Anko" came another shout; Naruto, Anko and Mikoto all turned and saw Sasuke, Mamushi run up with an unconscious Karin over Sasuke's shoulder.
"Anko; we captured her but Kabuto escaped" Sasuke said "we need to go… and… find…" Sasuke began until he saw who was restrained in Anko's snakes.
"Sasuke, look at you; you've gotten so tall and handsome" Mikoto said with a smile; Sasuke was wide eyed as he saw his mother.
"M-mother" Sasuke said in surprise "what the hell is going on here"; Anko grabbed Sasuke and pulled him aside.
"You're mom wanted to talk to you before we kill her" Anko said in a whisper "she wanted to see you".
"I can't believe this" Sasuke said "I have so much to say, so much to ask"; Sasuke felt emotions he hasn't felt in years as he looked at Anko. "Thank you" Sasuke said and Anko smirked "first lets find Jiraya".
Anko nodded and both she and Sasuke walked back to the group; upon arriving they saw that Naruto and Mikoto were having a conversation.
"So… just putting this out there, you're pretty cute" Mikoto said making Naruto blush and rub the back of his head.
"Well my mom says I'm a handsome young man" Naruto said referring to Ino's mom.
"Oh, a mama's boy huh" Mikoto said before giving Naruto a look "well… I can be you're mommy for you" she said in a sultry voice making Naruto pause and go wide eyed.
Anko hearing this looked over to Sasuke who was now ghost pale.
'Gaaaaah' Sasuke shouted in his mind; Sasuke began to rush over to the both of them "Naruto! Get away from her right now!".
With Jiraya
Off in the distance a giant toad and a snake were fighting as both Jiraya and Orochimaru faced off one on one.
Jiraya threw a punch at Orochimaru and Orochimaru dodged and countered by throwing a kick at Jiraya; Jiraya seeing this made a hand sign.
'Needle Jizu' Jiraya's hair wrapped around him and turned into sharp spikes; Orochimaru realized this too late as his foot connected and was impaled by Jiraya's hair.
"Damn you" Orochimaru said as attempted to cut Jiraya with his Kusanagi; however the sword merely bounced off and Jiraya parted his hair revealing a rasengan in his hand.
"Take this" Jiraya shouted as he shoved the rasengan into Orochimaru's stomach sending him flying across the clearing.
Orochimaru was flying in the air until he was caught by someone "Lord Orochimaru" Kabuto said as Orochimaru looked at him.
"Kabuto; were you and Karin successful" Orochimaru said as he got back up holding his stomach.
"Not really" came a shout; just then Naruto, Anko, Mamushi and Sasuke arrived with an unconscious Karin and a bound Mikoto "they kinda got their asses kicked" Naruto said with a smirk.
'Damn' Orochimaru thought as he looked at the group; he saw Mamushi and Anko and cursed his luck as the 2 people who wanted him dead the most were now here.
"Hey pervy sage; mind if I get some shots in" Naruto asked as he walked up next to him.
"Sure kid; just save enough for Anko and Mamushi" Jiraya said.
"You ready for this Mamushi" Anko asked as she cracked her knuckles.
"Yeah… I am" Mamushi said as she began going through hand signs; Mikoto who was on the ground saw this and spoke up.
"Hey watch out" Mikoto shouted as both Sasuke and Anko attempted to turn around but were to slow.
"Kaija Hoin" Mamushi shouted as she tapped both Sasuke and Anko's curse marks.
As soon as this happened Orochimaru, Anko, Sasuke and Mamushi all began to scream in pain "Lord Orochimaru; what's wrong" Kabuto asked.
"What the hell is going on" Naruto shouted.
"I don't know" Jiraya said.
All of a sudden 3 snakes emerged from Sasuke, Mamushi and Anko's, originating from their curse marks and launched themselves to a open part of the clearing. All 3 fell down as both Anko and Sasuke were breathing heavy while Mamushi was unconscious.
"What did she do" Anko groaned out feeling weak.
"Where's your curse mark" Sasuke asked; Anko looked at Sasuke and saw his mark was gone too.
Everyone looked to the 3 snakes as they began to morph together into a blob of flesh; the flesh began to rise up until it took shape of a human being with no particular features. The human body began to take form to that of a woman as the body began to take shape and long black hair began to grow.
After a few seconds everyone looked on in astonishment as the blob of flesh took the form of Mamushi; the other Mamushi was completely naked and covered in some kind of slime.
Sasuke looked over to the Mamushi beside him and felt her neck for a pulse 'she's alive… so that means'. Sasuke had a horrible realization as he looked over to the second Mamushi. "Oh no" Sasuke said in horror.
The other Mamushi opened her eyes and opened her mouth and to everyone surprise began to sing:
F is for failure; for trying to dispose of me.
R is for resurrection; as now you all can see.
E is for explanation; so listen to my song.
E is for extermination; which was coming all along….
D is for destruction; which I bring happily bring in tow .
O is for obliteration; which all the world will know.
M is for massacre; where all your blood will flow.
The other Mamushi finished her song and looked at Orochimaru who now had a terrified look on his face "I'm back father; and I would like to say… hello".
