Hey peeps!
Happy May! Hope you're somehow surviving whatever restrictions you're living under. I'm starting to get into a pattern and routine again and my writing is getting done at last so I'm really happy about that. Also getting ahead is never a bad thing!
Stay safe!
Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 69:
Narcissa had gone to Hogwarts and had spoken to Aurora about her test and she saw the unsureness of her daughter but was relieved that the 11-year-old had decided that taking the test would be the best thing for her so they could see where she was at.
The test itself had been hard and Aurora had sighed and grown frustrated during some of it, but she managed to finish it. Narcissa was proud of her little girl and sent the test away to be assessed by the family Healer. Healer Jones was in the best place to see if any progress had been made at all.
Now she was aware of the connection it was hard for Narcissa to not use it to gain an insight into her daughter's mind.
"I can't help it. I know I shouldn't use the connection in that way but it is the best way to see what is going through her mind," Narcissa told Lucius as he'd joined her at Hogwarts where they were going to wait out the test results from Healer Jones.
"Cissa the last thing we need is her thinking that we will abuse it. I'm sure she doesn't really grasp what the connection is all about, only that she has it to you," Lucius said as his eyes turned to their sleeping daughter in the bed that they had in the rooms they were lodging in, "the last thing we need is her getting scared that she may think something and it hurts her or you," he said.
"I know and I'm trying not to. She's just a child and I need to be the grown up in the situation and remember to control myself with peeking into her thoughts. I don't want her to grow up hating me for it," Narcissa sighed, "I have to have control."
Lucius watched as Aurora stirred in her sleep before settling down again.
"When you think about it she is a child, not a normal 11-year-old. Merlin she's going to be 12 in a few weeks and look at her. She's probably a couple of years, maybe 3 behind her classmates," Lucius sighed, "all because of that sister of yours wanting to hurt you. She should have never used Aurora to hurt you at all. That was all between you and Bellatrix."
"Do…do you hate me for what happened to her?" Narcissa asked. The guilt had been rippling through her and she had to know.
"No I don't. You didn't know this would happen. Nobody did," Lucius said, "if I hated you then I possibly would've distanced myself from you and stayed away but this wasn't your fault."
"I know but I just can't help but blame myself for what has happened to her. We need to figure out how things are going to work with me being here and you at the Ministry and the Manor," Narcissa said, desperate to change the subject.
"Simple. You stay here and some nights I'll come and stay here with you and others you can come home," Lucius said, going along with his wife's thoughts, "weekends we will have to discuss but they will probably both involve us both here really and spending time with Draco and Aurora. I think Rora likes family time. She's always so happy and laughs a lot."
"I think it's a sign of normality for her and a sign of a stable home which is something that she has never had before I think," Narcissa said, "I also think that she needs more clothes," she said, "don't look at me like that! She doesn't really have any proper ball and party type clothes yet. Only the one she wore for the Winter Ball and she cannot be seen wearing that again. Also any plans we have for us staying here and me working will have to be approved by Albus."
"Whatever you say my rose," Lucius said as he looked at her and smirked. He knew she only really wanted an excuse to go shopping, but he had to agree with her that Aurora didn't have party and ball dresses at all.
A couple of days passed and Narcissa was beginning to worry that the owl had got lost before she heard a tap on the window of the Hospital Wing and hurried to open it, apologising to the student after retrieving the parchment. She quickly finished addressing the small Potions inflicted injury before opening the letter and squealing with delight and asking Madam Pomfrey if she could be permitted a short break to see Lucius as it was Aurora's test results.
The door to their rooms burst open and Lucius looked up from the paper.
"What in Merlin's name Cissa…?"
"She's making progress! These are the results and she's making progress finally!" Narcissa squealed before showing Lucius the results and he smiled… no grinned at the result before calming down slightly.
"We need to tell the children," Lucius said as he looked at her, "tonight after dinner and then maybe we can do something to celebrate… OK London then," he said, knowing exactly what Narcissa would have wanted to do.
That evening there was joy as Draco and Aurora learnt that there had been progress made and then the trip to London came around. Draco just rolled his eyes but seeing the look on his sister's face soon made him think that it could be a fun trip to go on. He really just wanted time with his family.
