Hey everyone!

So remember I said I was back at work on the 15th...? Well that and my brother's 11th birthday and last day at prmiary school meant that the mid-month updates slipped from my mind. I do hope you can forgive and I'm around 3-4 months ahead in both planning and writing so not having updates ready to go shouldn't be a problem. Anyway here's the update finally! Enjoy!

Stay safe.

Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 74:

Narcissa had hoped that Aurora understood a little more than she'd done before and had summoned Draco to her and gave him a stern warning about his wand and he realised that Aurora had witnessed in threatening Pansy. He'd known that Astoria had seen him but not Aurora. He wondered why he'd never thought to check where he was positioned at the time. He hated it when his mother scaled him but he fully accepted it as he knew that he should have been setting a better example for his 11-year-old sister.

"Shall I bring my broomstick?" Astoria asked Draco as they were sat discussing the next Quidditch training.

"Yes if you think that you can manage to hold you and Aurora on your broomstick. I think mother would hex me if anything happens to Aurora," Draco said, "she could go up on her own broomstick but you'd need to be ready to move fast if anything happens to her," he added.

"It would be easier if she was on mine as I can move around the pitch with her so she could see at different angles," Astoria said, "only thing I will need to watch out for is the Bludger."

"I can cast shield charms on you both so that won't be a problem," Draco said as he looked at her, "I think she'd love to be in the sky watching. Might even be able to let her have a go at the goals."

"She'd love that," Astoria said as she watched Aurora sat with Charlotte and doing her homework, "she's a very different Malfoy. That's for sure," she said softly.

"She's special and always will be," Draco said watching his sister.

The next Quidditch practice came around and, as soon as Draco had cast the charm on them, Astoria headed into the sky with Aurora. A strengthening and enlargement charm meant that Astoria and Aurora could be on the same broomstick.

Aurora was so excited to be in the air and she sat quietly and watched as the team and reserves trained together. It was far easier for to see things and Astoria kept an arm around Aurora's tiny waist to make sure that she was secure.

Draco kept an eye on the girls and Bludger. He wasn't going to release the second one until he was sure that Aurora was safe enough in the air. The last thing he needed was an accident so soon after his last scalding about his behaviour in front of his younger sister.

Astoria looked and watched. Aurora seemed far happier in the air able to watch and she got Aurora in a good position to see what was going on. She was also able to explain things a little better now Aurora could see better. She also was amazed at how Aurora was able to feel so comfortable on the broomstick.

Things were going well and Aurora was safe but, in a moment of silence, Draco heard a voice that sent fear down his spine.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy! Down here now!" came Narcissa's voice and Draco sighed before heading straight for the ground and came to a stop in front of his mother. "What is Aurora doing up in the air?" she asked.

"She's safe with Astoria. There's shield charms all around them and the broomstick has strengthening charms and enlargement charm on it and there is only one Bludger in play so she's safe," Draco said, "I wouldn't have allowed her into the air if I didn't think that she would be safe," he said, "I know how protective of her you are," he said.

"I lost her once and almost lost her again. I will not allow anything to happen to her and I will be in the stands for the rest of the training to make sure that she is OK and if anything happens to her…"

"It won't mother. If I didn't think that I could keep her safe then I wouldn't have allowed her into the air in the first place," Draco said as he looked at his mother before heading back into the air.

"Am I in trouble?" Aurora asked as Draco hovered beside her.

"You're not but I am. Stay safe," he replied before heading back into the training.

Narcissa made sure that she was close to where Aurora and Astoria were hovering just in case anything happened but she soon lost track of the training as she saw something on her daughter's face that she'd rarely seen. The only other time she'd seen it was when Aurora had been practicing her ballet at Malfoy Manor. A genuine smile; one that made Narcissa's heart swell. It was clear that Aurora loved being in the air and she decided that she would have to get Lucius to take Aurora up on their horses. She didn't trust herself to be able to do it so she made a mental note to ask Lucius about the idea when she next saw him.

Draco eventually called time on the training and Astoria gently guided the broomstick down to the ground where everyone sat down on the grass and listened as Aurora said what she could see. She also apologised for the way that they should have listened to her because f who she was.

"You do talk sense though Aurora," one of the Chasers said, "some people will choose to listen and others won't. That's up to them really."

"But it's rude not to listen to someone when they're talking," Aurora said before Narcissa joined them.

"That is correct Aurora but they are the ones with the problem and not you," she said before silently slipping back into a corner where she was able to listen as Aurora carried on explaining what she'd seen this time. She was slowly beginning to understand Quidditch but she was a long way off yet.

Narcissa decided to walk with Draco and Aurora back up to the Castle and smiled as she heard Aurora talking about being in the air.

"Well maybe we can see if your father is willing to take you up into the air more when you are home," Narcissa casually said as she looked at her daughter and saw the delight in her eyes and she smiled softly. Aurora loved flying and she would make sure that Aurora could be in the air but safely. There was no way that Narcissa was ever going to let any harm come to her children again, not now that she had the both of them back. She would do whatever she could to keep them safe, no matter what.
