Hey everyone!
Welcome to level 10 of Jumanji... and yes I have decided to stick with that for the rest of the year before you ask. I had a lovely week away (and birthday) and now I feel creative again and I am hoping to write well again. October is the month when I want to get some good habits going and make the most of these last months of 2020 better than what has just been. Enjoy the update.
Stay safe.
Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 79:
The next morning and Druella and Priscilla took Aurora out into the garden and allowed her to play for a while. The two had asked Lucius and Narcissa if they could have some alone time to talk to Aurora about the Black and Malfoy heirlooms and Narcissa had agreed to it. She trusted the mothers with her daughter and then she would spend some time with Aurora before all the children headed back to Hogwarts later that day.
"We'll have to be clear on the fact that she cannot wear them yet," Priscilla said to Druella, "but I'm more than willing to have copies that she can wear made."
"Yes. I agree. If she wants that then we can do that. I never thought this day would come," Druella said before smiling softly as she looked at Aurora before calling her over, sighing softly as she saw Aurora's new doll appear in her granddaughter's arms. Merlin knows how the girl was so attached to the doll already. Priscilla suspected that it was something that had happened a lot in the orphanage as Aurora hadn't had any friends so her doll and soft toys had been her friends.
"What is it Grandmother?" Aurora said before she sat in the seat across from her grandmothers and crossed her legs in the chair. That annoyed Druella but she knew Aurora would grow out of it soon. She knew younger children did it so she just let it slide.
"Well we want to give you something. These are very valuable and are passed down the female lines of both the Black and Malfoy families," Druella said slowly.
"But then why doesn't mummy have them? She is older then me by quite some way," Aurora pointed out and Priscilla had to stifle a laugh. Aurora could have been a Ravenclaw like Narcissa if she'd really wanted to be.
"Because these are heirlooms that are passed from grandmothers to their eldest granddaughter," Priscilla said, "There's some that pass directly down and those ones have already gone to your mother but there are some that pass down a slightly different way and that is what we are doing now."
"You have to be very careful with these and you cannot wear them yet," Druella said as she and Priscilla showed the heirlooms to Aurora and she gasped, "we can get copies made so you wear the copies. Would you like that?" she asked and Aurora, who nodded before Priscilla made sure Aurora understood everything and once she was sure she allowed Aurora to head off to the Secret Garden and then the mothers went and had a quick chat with Narcissa who'd been watching everything from the patio seating area and then she headed towards the Secret Garden before just watching as Aurora was on the swing and she smiled as she heard her daughter giggling as she swung on the swing.
Narcissa walked over and gently told Aurora that she was there before pushing her on the swings for a while before she asked if Aurora wanted to go and play a game in the summerhouse and the girl nodded so Narcissa took great pleasure in being the first one to introduce Aurora to magical board games.
"Noooooo!" Aurora said as she lost something and Narcissa was torn between letting Aurora win and teaching her that you can't always win. In the end she decided to play the game fairly and Aurora did lose and was surprised when Aurora said that it was OK that she'd lost. She'd beat her next time.
"Would you like to go and do some ballet?" Narcissa asked and Aurora eagerly nodded before she and Narcissa headed inside to Narcissa's area of the Manor and the two changed into their ballet shoes. Narcissa smiled as she watched Aurora doing her warmup. She was no teacher but she was happy enough to teach Aurora what she knew. She'd been surprised at her daughter's love for the discipline before she began to do her warmup as well.
Once she was sure they were both warmed up enough Narcissa put the Sugarplum Fairy dance on and Aurora just watched as Narcissa danced before she giggled softly and put her doll down and began to dance. She wasn't prefect on her toes yet but she tried. She wanted to be just like Narcissa and have pointe shoes one day.
Aurora soon began to settle into the dancing and she giggled softly and then really began to concentrate on the dancing. She was beginning to improve with Narcissa's teaching and she twirled around on the spot and then began to practice her positions.
Lucius had looked everywhere for his wife and daughter before the faint sounds of music reached his ears and he followed the sounds, pausing in the doorway to watch his wife and daughter dancing before slipping into the room and Aurora smiled and went to sit down.
Narcissa's eyes opened as she looked at Lucius before the two began to dance around the room. Aurora hugged her doll close to her and just watched her parents dancing. She watched and thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world. She was slightly jealous of Draco that he'd grown up with their parents and she'd been stuck in the orphanage thinking at one point that her parents had abandoned her and then died. Draco was so lucky to have grown up with them.
Lucius and Narcissa moved elegantly across the floor before Narcissa was spun around on her pointes and Aurora wondered if Lucius knew some ballet as well because he appeared to know just what to do. She'd have to try and ask him at some point if she remembered. She was rather enjoying watching her parents before she shook off a tear that had been threatening to fall as Narcissa had rushed over to her and watched her.
"What's wrong little love?" she asked, worried.
"Draco was so lucky to grow up here and loved," Aurora said, "I'm jealous of him because of that. I grew up unloved and nobody was allowed to take me away," she said as the tears fell and the parents instantly held their daughter close. Narcissa shot a concerned look at Lucius and he shook his head, now wasn't the time for them to discuss what Aurora had said but when the children were back at Hogwarts they could monitor the situation and see if Aurora's feelings flared up again or not.
Once Aurora had calmed down Lucius balanced her on his hip and began to dance with her and Narcissa soon joined in, concerned that Aurora had got upset like that but she soon appeared to be settled in Lucius' arms.
Lucius eventually placed Aurora on the floor and the three of them carried on dancing. Aurora was quiet but she was having fun and dancing, the smile returning to her face but Lucius and Narcissa knew that they'd have to talk to Aurora about what she'd said but that could happen another time. All that mattered in that moment was them having fun with their daughter and she was having fun with them.
