"So I know the last few days didn't go the way you wanted them to," AJ says, walking hand in hand with Mike outside of Sony Studios. "But does this help at all?"
Mike quirks an eyebrow at her, casts a look around. "What, you mean taking our kids to a taping of Wheel of Fortune?" He chuckles, then nods. "Yeah, actually. It kind of does." He huffs a little, swinging their hands back and forth between them. "I've stopped expecting much from the Royal Rumble, but this was significantly unimpressive."
"The kids had a laugh at seeing you get thrown out of the ring at least," AJ says, cradling his face and slapping his cheek when he makes a face at her. "Come on, husband. Let's get you inside before we miss your window for hair and makeup."
"Yes, ma'am," he says, following her inside. Sara and George see them and cheer, jumping out of the small chairs offered for them, running up to them. "Hey, kiddos," Mike says, kneeling down to hug them. "Having a good time?"
"Daddy, this place is loud," George says, eyes wide.
"It's so much fun," Sara exclaims, patting AJ's arms. "Mama, can we come here every day?"
AJ laughs and squeezes Sara. "Not every day," she says, "but we get today to explore and see what all happens, that's alright, isn't it?"
"I guess," Sara sighs, looking up at Mike. "Do we get all day, daddy?"
"Until about supper time, probably, sweetie," he says, letting go of George and standing up. "Right now, though, Daddy has to go get ready for filming. You two be good for your mom, ok? I'll see you soon."
AJ smiles up at him, winking at him as he turns to check in with makeup and hair, eager to get to work and wash the taste of the Rumble and Raw out of his mouth, hopefully win some good money as he goes.
