Hey everyone!

So, I am working on an update for my other ongoing fic and that should be up by the week but 3/4 are ready to go so I'm updating now as I don't want to keep people waiting. I hope you're all doing well, and things are as well as they can be when your grandmother is having chemotherapy. I'm writing again though!

Lots of love,

LSH xx

Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 109:

The group had breakfast the next morning and there was something different in the air. Lucius and Narcissa weren't as worried abut Aurora heading back to Hogwarts as Kenzie and Jamie had agreed to keep an eye on Aurora as well and help her if she needed it. It would also give Draco and Astoria a break from looking after Aurora when they needed one. It also, in a way, reaffirmed the connection between the Greengrasses and Malfoys. They were already tied together through the future marriage of Draco and Astoria but Astoria's cousins now being involved was a help.

Jen was glad to be of help to Narcissa so she could mainly focus on being Aurora's mother but, should there need arise, she would treat her in the Hospital Wing until Jen could get to her. It was a secret relief to Narcissa but she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her daughter.

Dumbledore had connected James' study to his office and that would be the only official Floo connection to and from Hogwarts as it was easier to get all the children back to Hogwarts as there was five of them ad Lucius, Narcissa and Jen as well.

"Mummy… I'm a big girl now. I can go by myself now," Aurora said as she looked at Narcissa, "I know to speak clearly and close my eyes," she said.

"Astoria and I can go first and then she can mother," Draco said as he looked a his mother. Narcissa bit her lip as she thought about it before conceding and finally nodding.

"OK fine," she said before watching as her son stepped into the fireplace and vanished in a sea of emerald flames, before her future daughter-in-law did the same.

Aurora smiled as she took some of the powder and stepped into the fireplace before she soon disappeared in a cloud of green flame. Jen, Kenzie and Jamie followed before Narcissa went next and was relieved to see Aurora stood happily in the Headmaster's office.

"OK I'm going to find Charlotte now," Aurora said after Narcissa had checked her over and she walked out of the office with the other kids before going her own way as she had a feeling where Charlotte would be.

True to form the youngest Malfoy found her best friend in the Great Hall talking to another girl.

"Aurora! You're back!" Charlotte sad happily as she hugged her friend. It was in that moment that Aurora spotted another girl.

"Who's that?" She asked.

"Oh this is Ellie. She didn't go home for the holidays either and you were gone so we spent the time together," Charlotte smiled.

"I go away and you replaced me?" Aurora asked, her bottom lip wobbling as she was clearly thinking that she'd been replaced whilst se'd been away.

"Oh Merlin no Aurora! Remember at the start of the school year when you needed a friend and I became your friend…?" a nod from the Malfoy girl, "well Ellie needs a friend like you did and I was hoping that we could be friends with her as well. Become a group of three. Is that OK?" She asked.

Aurora looked at the girl and bit her lip. She noticed Elle was wearing her Ravenclaw colours and she wondered for a minute how it would be to have another friend before she nodded,

"OK. We can be a three. Tori's cousins are in Ravenclaw and they are nice and Ellie looks nice as well," she said and the three headed to the Courtyard so Aurora and Ellie could get to know each other and Aurora could fill Charlotte in on what she got up to in the Highlands.

Lucius, Narcissa and Jen were sat in Dumbledore's office with the Professor himself and Professors McGonagall and Snape's discussing Aurora and Jen's findings over the break.

"It shouldn't change too much but things will be harder for Aurora to understand," Jen was saying, "you may have to explain things to her a little differently to how you usually do. I think you already know she sees the world in a different way. The worst thing to do is treat her differently to others. This is something that won't help her at all and it will only draw attention to her and that is something that needs to avoided at all costs. Her history was all over the front pages of the Daily Prophet after she was revealed as the missing Malfoy baby, the trial…"

Snape had been stood in silence before he spoke.

"This is a Muggle related thing… disability based on what you have said Healer Greengrass," he said, "how can we help her in school when we do not understand it ourselves."

"That is why I am here… to help you to understand all this and form a plan to help Aurora in class," Jen said, "you're also the first person to call me that as well," she said with a smirk at Snape.

"I do have some idea what it is," Dumbledore said, surprising everyone, "I am a little more in tune with the Muggle world than mot of my colleagues here are," he said as he chuckled at the surprised faces."

"Well that does make things a little easier then," Jen said before she finally sat down and began to discuss everything the Professors needed to know to help Aurora with life at Hogwarts as it would be a little more complicated but, hopefully, very much normal it the outside world.

"Well that was hard to take," Snape said to Dumbledore and McGonagall after everyone had left the office.

"2It will have been for you Severus as you are er Godfather," Dumbledore spoke as he looked at Snape, "you heard what Healer Greengrass requires of us and that we shall do," he said as he sat down behind his desk once more, "that was part of the reason I allowed the Malfoy children to got to the Highlands. Healer Greengrass is versed in both magical and muggle practices and would have been able to discover what Aurora had."

"You mean you knew…" McGonagall said.

"I knew something, yes, but needed the proper person to do exactly what Healer Greengrass did," he said, "now if you'll excuse me I would like some peace and quiet," he said and the two professors left, wondering how they could keep things normal for Aurora whilst helping her as she needed. That would take a little time but they would get there.
