Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 111:
It took a while before Aurora began to calm down in her brother's arms and for her to understand that Charlotte was going to be OK as Narcissa had told her. Narcissa had not expected Aurora to get so distressed about her friend being hurt, yet Jen had warned her that that was a possibility that Aurora's emotions weren't as able to be controlled as others.
Narcissa finished attending to Charlotte before taking Aurora from Draco.
"Charlotte is going to be perfectly fine little star. She just had a cut that needed to be treated and you did the right thing by bringing her here," Narcissa said as she looked at Aurora and stroked her hair back and kissed her head softly, "she'll be right as rain in a couple of days and there's no lasting damage. Now we need to have a little don't we?"
"What about?" Aurora asked as she looked at Narcissa with a puzzling look on her face. Draco slipped off with Charlotte before Narcissa decided to take her daughter to her office.
She got her settled with a drink and something to eat.
"The summer holidays and how you're worried that you won't be able to see your friends," Narcissa said as she finally answered Aurora's questions.
"Mummy… I simply cannot go all summer without seeing Charlotte and Ellie," Aurora said, "that's such a long time," she added, her blue eyes wide at the thought of not seeing her friends for the whole summer.
"Well the Greengrasses and your friends will be coming to France at some point. I will be sorting that out once your daddy has sorted out his stuff at the Ministry of Magic," Narcissa said, "depending on how long James and Caitriona can stay Jen might come so Astoria and Daphne can stay longer," she said.
"But what about the Highlands? I guess we'll be staying there as well," Aurora said as she watched Narcissa and ate a biscuit.
"If they can't come to France then I will see if they can come to the Highlands for a bit," Narcissa replied, "you won't go all summer without seeing your friends Aurora. I simply won't allow it," she added before the bell rang and she sent her daughter on her way.
Thoughts were beginning to turn to Draco's birthday and it was one day in the Common Room when the Greengrass Sisters caught a conversation between Aurora, Charlotte and Ellie.
"I can't get Draco a present for his birthday because there is nowhere to go and get it," Aurora was saying, "I'm not allowed to Hogsmeade so I can't get to any shops."
"We'll help you make something," Charlotte said.
"I'm sure between the three of us we can come up with something," Ellie said as she looked at Aurora, "you can make it alone but Charlotte and I can help you come up with an idea."
Daphne and Astoria saw how much it was hurting Aurora and headed to see if they could see could see Dumbledore.
"You have to help her. It's her first birthday back with Draco and she wants to get him something special," Daphne said, "she's really upset. I'll take her myself to Hogsmeade with special permission if I have to," she said causing a chuckle from the headmaster.
"She can go to Hogsmeade with you, as you insist, but she will need her mother with her," Dumbledore said as he looked at the sisters, "if you two wish to go with them then you can as I will suggest a Hogsmeade weekend to Narcissa so you can go as a group and get something for him. Now can I trust you two to speak to Narcissa?"
"We'll head and find her now," Astoria said, "thank you Professor," she said before the two hurried to find Narcissa.
"So I can take Aurora on a Hogsmeade weekend so you can come along as well?" Narcissa asked.
"Well if you pick next weekend I know that Draco and I have a Prefects' meeting so you could get there and back without Draco knowing a thing," Daphne said as she thought, "that way he won't see her leaving either," she said, "we'll go and tell her. She was rather upset about it all which is why we went to Dumbledore."
"You should have come to me and I would have sorted something out so she could have gone. I know she wants to give Draco the best birthday ever," Narcissa said as she looked at the girls, "thank you for helping Aurora though," he said as she nodded to them and let them go.
The two headed back to the Common Room and straight over to Aurora.
"You're heading to Hogsmeade with your mother next weekend to get Draco a birthday present," Astoria said, causing a squeal and hugs from Aurora, "we saw how upset you were and had to do something," she said before Aurora thanked them and rushed off to her dorm.
She soon returned to the Common Room with her notebook and began to write down ideas that she could get from Hogsmeade for Draco's birthday. She did have a lot of ideas and would need help to narrow them down eventually but she was finally able to dream of getting Draco the perfect gift.
Astoria sat with her and chuckled as she saw the ideas before helping the girl narrow down some more realistic ideas that she could get in Hogsmeade. Of course Aurora wanted to add her own personal handmade things and she would be working on when she could and without Draco finding out. That would be the main challenge for Aurora but she really wanted to do it and do it she would.
