Hey everyone!

Another round of updates and I need to get writing some more... which I'm about to do as soon as I have uploaded these latest updates. I have no plans to drop the bi-weekly updates. They may not be on assigned days but they will be happening still. I have some time off next month and I'm hoping that when the schools start up again it'll be a bit calmer as well.

Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere-Part 113:

Aurora had managed to keep most of her presents and ideas for Draco's birthday hid and that was something that she was overjoyed at. She was putting a lot of effort into making things for her brother's birthday and that hadn't gone unnoticed by Astoria and she was sat with Aurora one day watching as the younger girl was writing a short story about her and Draco off on some sort of adventure.

"Aurora… just how much are you planning for Draco's birthday?" she asked one day as she was watching Aurora whilst everyone else was busy. This was becoming a thing and more to ease Narcissa's fears about something happening to her daughter.

"A lot… well I mean a lot of gifts I made myself. This is the first birthday that I've had where I can make someone something so I really want to make an effort to make Draco have the best birthday ever," Aurora said as she looked up from her drawings.

Astoria sighed and knew that Draco had said gifts didn't matter because he'd got the best birthday present he could have wished for and that was his sister back. Of course she wasn't going to tell Aurora that. She just watched as Aurora drew herself on a unicorn. She could see Aurora's little alive fairy and unicorn figurines on the paper before looking at the drawing.

"Those drawings are really good Aurora," Astoria said before lifting an already completed drawing off the floor, "where did you learn to draw like that?" she asked before watching as the girl just shrugged her shoulders.

"I just draw. Sometimes I draw what's inside my head or I'll write it or I'll do a mixture of the two," Aurora said as she watched her figurines dancing on her piece of paper, "I like being creative," she said.

"Well how about we draw something together for Draco's birthday?" Astoria asked, "we could do a mixture of things he likes."

"Can you draw?" Aurora asked, "or does everything look like sausages?" she asked with a cheeky look on her face.

"Aurora! You cheeky girl!" Astoria laughed before grabbing a fresh piece of paper and began to draw something. She glanced across at Aurora and could see the girl watching as she drew.

Astoria began to draw things in the Highlands that they'd done together when Draco and Aurora had visited her home. She drew the lake and then began to draw a cottage by the lake as well and Aurora just watched.

"The cottage by the lake," the 12-year-old said as she looked at Astoria, "why draw that?"

"Because that cottage will be one of mine and Draco's homes when we marry. There will be the French cottage and the vineyard, the Highlands home and then, when the time is right, Malfoy Manor," Astoria spoke, "all these will be your home as well," she said, "you'll never not have a home anymore Aurora. When the time comes you'll be able to go between Draco and I and your parents," she said.

"But what will happen to me when mummy and daddy aren't here anymore?" Aurora asked.

"Well it depends…" Astoria said, biting her lip, "if Draco and I are 17 or older then we will have you whatever happens," she said, "if we aren't then your Grandparents will decide which of them has you and if they have passed away then Seanair and Seanmhair will look after you. See? Your mummy and daddy have made sure that you will always have a home and that means you'll be safe. Now tell me… what would you like at the cottage by the lake?" she asked, wanting to change the subject before Aurora got upset.

Aurora began to tell Astoria what she imagined the cottage at the lake to have and Astoria drew it. She tried to capture every detail of the girl's words, memorising them so, when the time would arrive, she knew how to make it welcoming for Aurora. What mattered was that Aurora was happy and that might mean Aurora staying with them for good. That was a long way off hopefully and hopefully Aurora would have a better understanding of the world she lived in by then as well.

Aurora watched before grabbing a pencil and began to draw more things on herself and she wondered what her future was going to look like. That wasn't stopping her imagining a happy future.

"What do you think Arabella and Princess Sparkles would think?" Astoria asked.

"I think they'd like it too," came the reply, "can we go and see Mr. Hagrid and see how Princess Ellanora is doing now?" she asked and Astoria chuckled softly.

"I'll speak to him during my next class and arrange a time for you to go and see her," Astoria said, "I think it's wonderful how she took to you. You might even be able to ride her if Hagrid lets you but we will have to tell your mother. I'd rather her know before this happens as the last thing I want is for something good to be taken away from you," she said and Aurora nodded softly.

"That does sound fair. Speak to Hagrid and then mummy," she said after a few moments of thought and then she went back to her drawing.

"Draco is going to have a lot of drawings isn't he?" Astoria asked and Aurora nodded softly.

"Yes he is and he will love them," she said and Astoria nodded before deciding that she would get Aurora to draw something for Narcissa so the mother could see how Aurora's drawings were coming along. Narcissa needed to see.

"Aurora… how about you draw something for your mother?" Astoria asked and Aurora nodded eagerly and grabbed a new sheet of paper to begin drawing for her mother.
