"Week off," Mike says with a small smile, quirking an eyebrow at AJ.

She pauses whie picking up George's toys and turns back towards him. "Mind repeating that? I swear I'm hearing things, there's no way you really said you get the day off Monday."

"That is actually exactly what I said," Mike says with a smirk. "I think it's mostly because they want all hands on deck for the draft, so some of us get to stay at home and stew. That feels like something Pearce would do. But you know, I think I'll take it. Feels like it's been forever since I've had a full weekend to spend with you and the kids anyway."

AJ hums, dropping a few blocks in the box they'd set aside. "Well, I guess this means we need to think up some amazing family activity since we'll have more time to actually enjoy it this weekend. Any thoughts?"

Mike hums, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Well, I know Taya has a big match Wednesday and would probably appreciate a distraction. Would you mind including them in whatever we decide?"

AJ shrugs. "I said family," she says. "They count. So what are your thoughts?"

"Beach weekend," he suggests. "Not too creative, I know, but it's nearby, and the kids'll enjoy it. The group of us, what do you think?"

AJ smiles. "I like it," she responds. "All of us haven't done anything together in so long, I think this sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun."

"I agree," Mike says with a grin. "I'll call John, make sure he and Taya are available."

"I will start packing," AJ says, finishing up with the toys and bustling off to organize the children's' clothing and other necessities.

Mike watches her go fondly. He does love being kept busy, his wrestling career still one of the more important things in his life, but it also means he sees a lot of less of his children, his wife, and his best friends than he'd like. For that reason, he finds himself going more and more eager for the weekend ahead, looking forward to the sun, the waves, and tormenting John as much as possible, hopefully with some assistance from a sugared up Sara and George.

It really does sound like the perfect way to spend a weekend before he has to face whatever the draft may bring his way.
