Mike's phone beeps with a notification, waking him up from a pleasant dream about AJ, Vancouver, and their anniversary. He grumbles and sighs, rubbing at his face before reaching over and snagging the phone to check. Frowning at the email icon, he logs in and checks, blinking in surprise at finding WWE's name on the notification. "Huh," he mumbles, tapping it to load it.

He skims it through squinted, tired eyes, then hesitates, reading it through once more. "You have got to be kidding me," he mumbles, sitting up and reading it a third time. "Well, damn."

After digesting the contents of the email, Mike sluggishly rolls himself out of bed and goes to look for his family. They're not hard to find, George's giggles and Sara's voice leading him to the kitchen where the kids are up to their elbows in some craft project while AJ hovers over the stove, making grilled cheese.

Mike winks at the kids before sneaking up behind AJ and wrapping his arms around her. She gasps, swings around and swats at him. "Don't do that!" she exclaims. "I thought you were a robber or something."

He smiles at her. "A robber?"

"Yes." She huffs and crosses her arms over her chest, glowering as he reaches around her to flip the grilled cheese and then serve it on the waiting nearby plate before it can burn. She rolls her eyes at him before moving the plate over to the kids. "Markers down," she says cheerfully. "It's lunch time."

The kids immediately scramble to do as she ordered, eagerly digging into their triangles of bread and cheese, before AJ turns back to Mike, one eyebrow quirked.

"What?" he asks, somewhat amused.

"Why aren't you still napping?"

"I received another email," he says, loosely curling his arms around her.

"From?"

"WWE."

Some understanding crosses her face, but she merely hums and stares up at him. "Oh yeah? What'd they want this time?"

"You get me all to yourself- and to the kids- for another week," he tells her with a small smile, kissing her.

"Now this," she sighs, toying with his hair. "I can get behind."

He smiles, holding her close. Sometimes, ... well, sometimes, so can he. Even though it cares him sometimes.
