Chapter 113: Another One Gabites the Dust!
Dawn and Denise were training with Pachirisu and Torchic before their Pokemon Contest.
"Torchic use Hidden Power!"Denise ordered.
Torchic's body becomes outlined in yellow and light blue circles move around his body.
He then released the circles into the sky.
"Now use Peck!"Denise ordered.
Torchic used Peck to destroy the circles causing the sparkles from the circles to connect in his feathers.
"Wow!"Denise chuckled. "Torchic that was amazing!"
"Luxio."Luxio agreed.
"Pachirisu, Discharge!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu used Discharge to create a bunch of blue sparkling electronic waves.
"That's perfect!"Dawn remarked. "Keep it up!"
"Piplup!"Piplup chirped.
"Those electric type moves have gone really slick."Brock complemented.
"That's got something to do with all of Pikachu's advice."Ash responded.
"Pikachu."Pikachu said with a smile.
Pachirisu falls on the ground, feeling a bit tired from all the training it done.
"You're tired, huh?"Dawn asked as she took out a green poach bag. "Alright! How about a little break! It's snack time!"
Piplup, Buneary, Pachirisu, Ambipom and Pikachu cheered around Dawn.
"Okay, Pikachu too."Dawn giggled.
"Thanks."Ash responded. "Pikachu can't get enough of your Poffins, Dawn!"
Denise looked at Torchic and Luxio.
"I think we should take a break too, huh?"Denise suggested and took out a dark pink poach bag. "Who wants some Poffins?"
Torchic and Luxio cried out their calls, both wanting the delicious Poffins that their trainer has made for them.
Dawn began to hand out Poffins to her pokemon.
"First, let's get everyone in a line."Dawn instructed and took out a Poffin. "Wait your turn."
This caused Mamoswine to charged at Dawn, sending her flying into the air along with the Poffins.
"AHHHH!"Dawn screamed.
Piplup, Buneary, Pachirisu, Ambipom and Pikachu managed to safely catch Dawn, while Mamoswine catches the Poffins in it's mouth and walked off before falling asleep.
Denise sighed in relief, seeing her twin sister was now safe.
"Wow."Ash said with a nervous smile. "That was a quick snack."
Mamoswine walked away and went back to sleep.
Piplup, Buneary, Pachirisu, Ambipom and Pikachu become saddened by the loss of food, but Dawn reassured them she will make more.
"Don't worry, gang."Dawn assured. "I'll go and make some more, okay?"
Denise walked forward with Torchic and Luxio right behind her.
"Then how about you guys try mine then?"Denise suggested as she bend down.
Denise opened her pouch bag revealing a bunch of yellow Poffins inside causing her pokemon and the others to start eating them.
"It looks like you cheered them up, Dennie."Dawn remarked.
"I know."Denise chuckled.
At that moment, Pachirisu noticed there was a Poffin Mamoswine didn't eat and rushed over to grab it.
When a Gabite stomped on the Poffin, it caused Pachirisu to become completely angry and prepared to use Discharge.
Suddenly a young peach-haired girl walked in, calling to the Gabite.
"Gabite!"the girl called out. "There you are!"
Dawn rushed over and tried to stopped Pachirisu from attacking.
"Pachirisu! No!"Dawn demanded. "Stop that!"
Pachirisu proceeded to attack Gabite and used Super Fang instead of Discharge.
However Gabite blocked the attack with her fin.
"That had to a new move!"Dawn suggested.
"Sure was!"Brock agreed. "That was Super Fang!"
"Getting mad about that Poffin must've made that happen!"Ash commented.
"What is wrong with that Pachirisu?!"the peach haired girl scowled.
Pachirisu growled at Gabite and Dawn grabbed ahold of her.
"Come on, Pachirisu."Dawn instructed. "Play nice."
Dawn received a zap by Pachirisu in response as Denise and her pokemon came forward.
"I must say someone didn't do a very good job raising that Pachirisu."the peach haired girl said and rubbed the Gabite's neck. "Right, Gabite?"
Ash took out his pokedex.
"Gabite, let's see..."Ash started.
"Gabite the Cave Pokemon."Ash's Pokedex said. "Gabite goes wild for precious jewels, first digging them up and then stashing them in its nest."
"I'm sure Pachirisu didn't mean to attack Gabite on purpose."Denise replied. "Your Gabite must've done something to make it angry."
"My sister is right."Dawn agreed as she stood up. "You'll look under Gabite's foot, you might understand."
"Alright."the peach haired girl said.
The peach haired girl looked at Gabite's foot and saw the crushed poffin on it causing her to become horrified.
"The horror!"the peach haired girl shrieked. "My beautiful Gabite's been soiled! How dare you!?"
"Sorry about soiling your Gabite."Dawn apologised and looked at Pachirisu. "Go ahead and say you're sorry."
Pachirisu pouted with an angry glare.
"See that's Pachirisu's favourite food, so when Gabite stepped on it..."Ash tried.
"Hmph! If that's all this is about, I can help you!"the peach haired girl responded and took out a Poffin. "No pokemon can resist my Poffins. Here you go! Eat up!"
Pachirisu happily sniffed the girl's Poffin and quickly refused it, which offended the young lady.
"The nerve!"the peach haired girl retorted.
"Please, I wouldn't want you to get the wrong idea!"Dawn protested nervously.
"I'm sure you're aware of how poffin recipes vary for different pokemon."Brock said.
"Piplup."Piplup chirped.
"Luxio."Luxio responded.
The peach haired girl notices Piplup and Luxio before looking at the twin sisters.
"That Piplup and Luxio...hey, were you two in the last Wallace Cup Contest?"the peach haired girl asked.
"Me? I did! I mean we did."Dawn answered.
"Hmph. Thought so."the peach haired girl responded with a smirk. "Yeah, I still really think with you winning that Contest was a total accident."
This caused Ash and Brock to become surprised while Dawn and Denise glared at the girl.
"So tell me were you in the Wallace Cup too?"Dawn asked.
"Well, I was there. The name's Ursula."the peach girl answered. "Of course since I was eliminated in the first round you wouldn't remember me."
This caused Denise's eyes widen a bit when she remembered something.
"Wait, I remember you."Denise replied. "You got so angry for losing in the first round"
"That's true."Ursula scoffed and then smiled. "I won't say a thing about it again. Though I'll never believe they let someone like you win."
"You leave my sister alone, you little witch!"Denise demanded. "Back off!"
"And if I remember, you must be Dawn's twin sister."Ursula commented. "To be honest, you should've won that Contest instead of Dawn. If only you didn't feel so sorry for her."
"What?!"Denise demanded in anger.
"Hey! Look! Dawn's skills is why she won that Contest!"Ash snapped. "How dare you say that and don't talk to Denise that way!"
"Your right."Ursula agreed smugly. "Thanks to her, I started working doubly hard! To become an even better more beautiful and more graceful Coordinator. You know I should thank you for defeating me, Dawn. Because of you, I am where I am today!"
Ursula let out a creepy laugh.
"What's with her?"Brock asked. "Why doesn't she just drop it?"
"Yeah."Ash said quietly.
"She's even worse than Amy."Denise muttered.
"Dawn and Denise, how many ribbons you dears have?"Ursula asked.
"I've got three."Dawn responded.
"So do I."Denise answered.
"Huh, the same as me."Ursula sneered. "I guess the two of you will be at the Chocovine Contest together. I can't wait to see what kind of graceful moves you've both been working on."
"Back off!"Dawn retorted. "You think after what you've said before, I'll believe anything you say!? We'll settle this at the Contest!"
"You are so going down tomorrow!"Denise threatened.
"Ooh? You both want a battle? Then both of you have got a battle!"Ursula cackled. "But neither of you won't win!"
Ursula leaves with her Gabite while letting out a sinister laugh.
The Next Day...
It was time for the Chocovine Contest.
"Field of port winds, the north winds, the wharf winds as they carry their songs and dances! It's Contest time!"Marian announced. "Welcome to the Contest from the town of great people coming and going! Chocovine Town!"
The crowd let out a loud cheer.
Ash and Brock stood near the Contest field with Pikachu Piplup, Ambipom, Pachirisu, Hoothoot, Kirlia, Torchic and Mamoswine.
However Mamoswine was asleep and completely uninterested in Dawn's Contest.
"Piplup piplup!"Piplup chirped angrily.
"I guess Mamoswine only moves when it wants."Ash commented.
"If it wanted to watch the Contest, that would certainly make things a whole lot easier."Brock stated with his arms folded.
In the Waiting Room...
Dawn and Denise sat next to each other while watching Marian on TV.
"Here's what our winning Coordinator will receive!"Marian announced. "The beautiful and coveted Chocovine Ribbon!"
Ursula came into the room with her Gabite.
The two sisters glared at the peach haired girl causing her to glare back at them.
In the Stage...
Marian turned her attention to the three judges as she made the introduction of them.
"And up next, I'm pleased to introduce our esteemed panel of Contest judges!"Marian announced. "First the Chief of the Pokemon Activities Committee, Mr Contesta!"
"Thank you, Marian!"Mr Contesta responded. "I am eager to see what will be nothing, but spectacular Pokemon today, I'm sure!"
"Next the Head of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr Sukizo!"Marian stated.
"Chocovine Town is remarkable!"Mr Sukizo remarked.
"And last but not least, Chocovine Town's own Nurse Joy!"Marian admitted.
"I hope you're all as excited as I am to watch the proceedings as me!"Nurse Joy said happily.
"And with that, let's begin our first round!"Marian announced. "The Performance Round, where one Pokemon per Coordinator puts on a show! So please, put your hands together for our first contestant!"
The curtains opened revealing Dawn was up for the Appeals Round first.
"Hey, check it out!"Ash remarked. "Dawn's up first!"
Ambipom, Piplup, Pachirisu, Pikachu, Hoothoot, Kirlia and Torchic all began to cheer for Dawn.
"Now Buneary, Spotlight!"Dawn said with a smile.
The capsule ball opened causing a bunch of purple hearts to burst out and Buneary to appear.
"Alright, Bounce!"Dawn ordered.
Buneary jumped into the air.
"Now use Ice Beam!"Dawn ordered.
Buneary gracefully spun while using Ice Beam to create a winding slide and as she slide down it.
The crowd cheered at Buneary.
"And Buneary has created an ice slide to remember!"Marian commented.
"Yes!"Ash cheered. "Way da go!"
"Let's keep it going!"Dawn encouraged. "Use Dizzy Punch now!"
Buneary prepared a Dizzy Punch to propel herself back to the top of the slide once again.
Dawn and Buneary bowed at the cheering crowd.
Ambipom, Piplup, Pachirisu, Pikachu, Hoothoot, Kirlia and Torchic happily cheered at Dawn and Buneary.
"Wow!"Ash laughed. "That showed them!"
"Buneary's unique qualities were shown in a most appealing way."Mr Contesta commented.
"That's true."Mr Sukizo agreed. "Remarkable as well."
"They put together a host of techniques like a great show."Nurse Joy agreed.
At the Waiting Room...
Denise smiled at Dawn's performance.
"Just like I thought."Ursula said bluntly. "At least her attitude was good."
"Don't talk like that, you little witch!"Denise snapped. "My sister's performance was great!"
"Whatever."Ursula replied smugly. "And by the way, Denise. I look forward to have my battle with you. That is ever you make it through the first round."
"Oh, I well and then you'll see."Denise responded coldly.
At the Stage...
Jessilina and a bunch of other coordinators had their pokemon perform on the stage.
"Now it's on with the show!"Marian announced. "Here is our next coordinator!"
The curtains opened revealing Denise was up next.
"Now it's Dennie's turn!"Ash complemented.
Hoothoot, Kirlia and Torchic grew happy seeing their trainer.
Pikachu, Piplup, Pachirisu and Ambipom cheered at Denise.
"Luxio, Stage On!"Denise stated with a smirk.
The capsule ball opened causing green electricity bolts to burst out and Luxio appeared.
"Luxio!"
Luxio landed on the stage.
"Okay, Luxio use Spark!"Denise ordered.
Luxio began charging up while surrounding himself in blue electricity which created waves around him.
"Use Night Slash!"Denise ordered.
Luxio leapt into the air and used Night Slash to slash through the electric waves, creating blue and purple lights which sparkled on Luxio's fur.
"Look at that!"Marian announced. "Luxio used his electric attacks to make a sparkling combination!"
"Let's finish this up!"Denise ordered. "Now use Wild Charge!"
Luxio charged himself in yellow electricity before leaping into the air in full speed making his electricity waves spread out like they were tree branches.
Then the Spark Pokemon ended his combination as yellow sparks remained on his fur.
The crowd cheered loudly at Denise and Luxio.
"It is amazing to see a coordinator to use a pokemon to show off the power of it's moves."Mr Contesta stated.
"That was indeed remarkable."Mr Sukizo commented.
"Luxio's performance was beautiful and amazing, all thanks to Denise."Nurse Joy replied kindly.
Ambipom, Piplup, Pachirisu, Pikachu, Hoothoot, Kirlia and Torchic cheered at Denise and Luxio.
"Yeah!"Ash cheered. "Denise did it!"
"She has showed Luxio really well."Brock agreed with a smile.
"Let's see what our next coordinator has got for us!"Marian announced.
The curtains opened revealing Ursula.
"You haven't seen anything yet!"Ursula commented. "Now Wormadam! Let's go!"
The capsule pokemon opened causing sparkling pink petals to come out and a Wormadam appeared.
"Wormadam, huh..."Ash started.
"That Wormadam can use Ground Type moves."Brock explained. "I've even heard that it's called the Sandy Cloak."
"Wormadam start with Confusion!"Ursula ordered.
Wormadam went up in the air as she began to glow in a dark pink colour.
"Now use Rock Blast!"Ursula ordered.
Wormadam used Rock Blast, causing the rocks to spiral around her.
"Moves like Rock Blast really show what makes it Worm of the Desert!"Marian announced.
"Great!"Ursula commented. "Now use Sandstorm!"
Wormadam used Sandstorm to create a gust of wind that blew the sand of the stage.
"Confusion!"Ursula ordered.
Wormadam used Confusion to create a sculpture out of herself from the sand.
"Whoa, what was that?!"Ash asked in surprise.
"Looks like they worked on Confusion a lot."Brock stated.
"What a surprise!"Marian announced. "Wormadam used that Sandstorm to make a sculpture out itself out of sand!"
"Wrap it up with Captivate!"Ursula ordered.
Finishing things up, Wormadam used Captivate to destroy the sculpture.
The crowd cheered at Ursula and Wormadam.
"An amazing way to end an amazing routine!"Marian announced.
"There are three types of Wormadam, of course!"Mr Contesta stated. "But that performance put the Worm of the Desert front and center! An amazing sight to see!"
"Amazing and also remarkable!"Mr Sukizo commented.
"It seemed like they had synchronized their breathing!"Nurse Joy admitted. "I completely loved it!"
"That's it! The end of the first stage!"Marian announced. "And the next order of business is to see who will be in Round 2! Hang tight, everyone! Back with the results soon!"
Dawn and Denise walked up to their companions with Buneary and Luxio.
"So gang what did you think?"Dawn asked.
"We both did great, right?"Denise questioned.
Ambipom, Piplup, Pikachu, Hoothoot, Kirlia and Torchic all responded in agreement.
"You both were awesome."Ash remarked and looked at the two pokemon. "You both were awesome, Buneary and Luxio."
"Bun buneary."Buneary said shyly.
"Luxio."Luxio answered with a smirk.
Dawn looked at Mamoswine.
"What about you, Mamoswine?"Dawn said. "What you think?"
Mamoswine was fast asleep and didn't pay attention to the contest.
"Gotta say, Ursula and her Wormadam were pretty good."Ash stated.
"Yeah."Dawn agreed. "Those two were totally in sync when it came to using a move really impressive. Ursula really showed off all of Wormadam's unique talents."
"I hate to admit it, but it's true."Denise scoffed with her arms folded.
"Surprised, aren't we?"
The ground turned around, seeing Ursula with her Gabite.
"Time after time, we've been cut out after only the first round, but not at this Contest."Ursula bragged. "From all that applause and cheering voices, it looks like our efforts have finally paid off."
"That goes the same for us!"Dawn retorted.
"Wouldn't it be sweet if we faced off in the finals?"Ursula asked with a smirk. "Ha! Ha! Ha!"
Ursula laughed as she walked away with her Gabite.
Dawn and Denise glared angrily at Ursula.
Then Marian's voice spoke up, which earned everyone's attention.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long and now, it's time for the moment that you've all been waiting for!"Marian announced. "After careful consideration, our judges have chosen the 8 Coordinators that will compete in around 2! And here they are!"
This caused Dawn, Denise, Ash and Brock to look at the big screen.
The results appear, showing Ursula, Denise, Jessilina and four other competitors were all in the battle round.
The eighth person revealed to be Dawn causing the group to become happy.
"So let's give these eight Coordinators a big round of applause!"Marian responded.
The crowd cheered at the chosen eight coordinators.
Dawn hugged Buneary in joy while Denise hugged Luxio.
"We did it!"Dawn cheered. "Thanks to you, Buneary!"
"Well done, Luxio!"Denise chuckled. "We made it through!"
"Yeah!"Ash laughed. "Way da go, girls!"
"Pika!"Pikachu remarked.
Dawn bend down to look at Pachirisu.
"Pachirisu, are you ready?"Dawn asked.
Pachirisu let out a confident respond.
Denise looked at Torchic.
"I bet your ready too, right Torchic?"Denise asked.
"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted with a smile.
In the Waiting Room...
Jessilina was happy that she made it to the second round.
"First round is history!"Jessilina squealed. "Now it's all on me!"
"So my time has finally come."Ursula commented and frowned. "No way Dawn or Denise are going to change that."
On the Stage...
"And now our eight semi-finalists will face two by two in the Contest Battles as they fight for the coveted Chocovine Ribbon!"Marian announced. "So it's five minutes on the clock! Let's go!"
Breezing through the first round of Contest Battles, Dawn defeated her first opponent that had a Weavile, Denise defeated a Marill, Jessilina used her Carnivine to defeat a Hippopotas and Ursula's Gabite knocks out a Hariyama.
Later, it was Denise battling against Ursula right after Dawn defeated Jessilina.
Gabite unleashed Stone Edge, but Denise had Torchic dodge it and use Hidden Power.
Torchic's Hidden Power hits against Gabite's Stone Edge causing a sparkling explosion which made Denise and Ursula both lose points.
Torchic used Fire Spin, but Gabite countered back with a Dragon Claw.
The two continued fighting furiously until time ran out.

"Time's up!"Marian announced. "And the Coordinator advancing up to the final stage is..."
Denise and Ursula looked at the big screen.
Then in a few seconds Ursula's face appeared on it.
"It's Ursula!"
Ursula smirked as she rubbed Gabite's chin.
"Marvellous job, Gabite."Ursula said proudly.
Torchic felt ashamed of his defeat and looked down.
"Torchic..."Torchic whimpered.
Denise picked up Torchic.
"Hey, don't be sad Torchic."Denise instructed with a soft smile. "You were totally amazing. We'll make it up in our Gym Battle in Snowpoint City, okay?"
Torchic smiled and closed his eyes.
"Torchic!"Torchic chirped happily.
"How sweet, Denise."Ursula mocked with a cruel smirk. "Comforting your little Torchic even though you knew he was a awful disadvantage against my precious Gabite. You sure need to work on learning your pokemon types."
Both Denise and Torchic glared at Ursula.
"Hey! You still got my sister to battle!"Denise snapped in anger. "Don't get so cocky!"
Ursula smugly huffed and walked away with Gabite as Denise hugged Torchic tightly.
Kirlia and Hoothoot stared at their trainer in sadness.
"Aw man."Ash said sadly. "Denise lost. After all that..."
"Pika."Pikachu responded quietly.
"True, but you have to admit that was one heck of a battle Denise put up against Ursula."Brock stated.
In the Waiting Room...
Dawn frowned seeing that Ursula beaten her twin sister.
"Looks like it's up to me now."Dawn thought firmly.
At the Stage...
The final round begins with Dawn facing Ursula.
"And now, the Chocovine Contest moves into it's final round!"Marian announced. "We present our two Coordinators. To my left, it's Dawn and to my right, Ursula!"
Denise stood next to Ash and Brock.
"Take her down, sis!"Denise called out.
"Dawn, you can do it!"Ash encouraged and notice Mamoswine was awake. "Mamoswine, guess you liked Dawn after all."
Mamoswine went back to sleep causing Ash to become confused and Denise sweat dropped.
"The time will be five minutes!"Marian announced. "Let's begin!"
5:00
"Pachirisu, Spotlight!"Dawn remarked.
The capsule ball opened causing pink bubbles to pop out and Pachirisu appeared.
"Now, Gabite!"Ursula laughed.
The capsule ball opened causing blue music waves to burst out and Gabite appeared in the battlefield.
"It's Pachirisu versus Gabite!"Marian announced. "One pokemon's cute and one pokemon's fierce! But which one will be the winner?"
"Looks like it's going to be a tough battle for Dawn."Brock admitted. "Pachirisu's Electric Type moves against a Ground Type like Gabite won't be able to do much of anything."
"Guess your right, Brock."Ash said. "The only thing that might land there is Super Fang."
A worried look appeared in Denise's face.
"Gabite use Dragon Claw!"Ursula ordered.
Gabite leapt into the air to launch a Dragon Claw.
"Spin and dodge it!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu quickly spun to dodge Gabite's attack.
"Ha!"Ursula scoffed with a smirk. "There's no escaping Gabite's incredible speed!"
Gabite managed to get a clean hit and Pachirisu takes damage.
Dawn began to lose a few points.
4:21
"Super Fang, let's go!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu activated Super Fang.
"Use Aerial Ace!"Ursula ordered.
Gabite used Aerial Ace, managing to get past Pachirisu's defense and score several clean hits.
Dawn lost a few more points.
"There has got to be a way for Dawn to turn this around."Brock said.
"Dawn, Pachirisu, come on."Ash said quietly.
Buneary, Piplup, Pikachu, Kirlia and Hoothoot began cheering for Dawn, telling her not to give up.
"Please, Dawn."Denise murmured. "You can do this."
"Gabite's using it's streamline body to its advantage, landing hit after hit!"Marian complemented.
Gabite landed with several Dragon Claws and Aerial Aces, which made Ursula get confident that her victory was assured.
"No way Pachirisu is going to be able to show any appeal in this last round."Ursula thought smugly. "Looks like the appeal is Gabite's and Gabite's alone!"
"Sweet Kiss now!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu blew out hearts to confuse Gabite.
"Use Aerial Ace!"Ursula ordered.
Gabite countered sweet kiss with Aerical Ace causing Dawn to lose more points.
3:00
Pachirisu began to feel worn out.
"I got to stay calm."Dawn thought. "There is still time!"
Buneary, Piplup, Pikachu, Kirlia and Hoothoot continued their cheer for Dawn.
"The judges evaluate Pachirisu on grace as well."Brock stated. "Dawn is just gonna have to count on that."
"Maybe."Ash said. "But they're not gonna get many points if they can't deal any damage."
"Dawn has a plan."Denise responded with a frown. "I'm sure of it."
2:00
"Less than two minutes remaining!"Marian warned.
"I don't need even half of that!"Ursula sneered. "Cause this battle is almost over! Use Stone Edge!"
Gabite sent the shards of rocks towards Pachirisu.
"Use Discharge!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu countered with Discharge, destroying the shards of rock.
"Awesome!"Dawn remarked. "You're really warming up now!"
Buneary, Piplup, Pikachu, Kirlia and Hoothoot cheered, seeing Dawn and Pachirisu were back on track.
"That's it!"Denise laughed.
"It's about time Dawn started running the show out there!"Ash chuckled.
"She should realise that the Aqua Ribbon isn't a toy."Ursula scoffed. "Gabite use Dragon Rage!"
Gabite fired Dragon Rage towards Pachirisu.
"Quick use Spark!"Dawn ordered.
Pachirisu destroyed the Dragon Rage move with Spark.
Ursula began to lose more points.
1:19
"Dragon Claw!"Ursula ordered.
Gabite rushed toward Pachirisu, but the electric type pokemon once again countered with her tail, due to Discharge's energy being stored there.
"What's this?"Marian asked. "Pachirisu stopped Dragon Claw using it's tail! I've never seen anything so brave and courageous! Truly amazing!"

"Way da go!"Dawn said happily. "That's showing them, Pachirisu!"
Ash, Denise and the pokemon cheered at Dawn and Pachirisu.
"Pachirisu can do that because it stores the Discharge energy in it's tail."Brock stated.
"Pachirisu is really on!"Ash commented.
"Your getting there, Dawn."Denise thought.

"Thirty seconds left on the clock!"Marian reminded.
An annoyed look grew on Ursula's face.
"Stone Edge, let's go!"Ursula ordered.
Gabite sent shards of rocks towards Pachirisu.
"Quick!"Dawn shouted. "Get your tail up!"
Pachirisu raises it's tail, creating an electric shield that destroyed the shards.
Ursula lost even more points.

"Yeah! That's what I am talking!"Dawn remarked. "Use Super Fang!"
Pachirisu rushed forward, ready to use Super Fang.
"I'm through giving up points!"Ursula retorted angrily. "Gabite use Dragon Rage!"
Pachirisu began to spin similar to a Flame Wheel, using her Super Fang to cut through the attack.
The EleSquirrel Pokemon reached Gabite and bites into her, Gabite covering herself with her fins just in time to avoid major damage.

"Time is up!"Marian announced. "Who gets the Chocovine Ribbon!?"
This caused Dawn and Ursula to bring their attention to the screen which showed their points.
Then Dawn's face appeared on the big screen.
"And the winner is Dawn!"Marian announced.
The crowd let out a loud cheer.
"Yes! We did it!"Dawn cheered in joy and Pachirisu jumped into her arms. "We won! Pachirisu! We really did it! We really won!"
"A perfect example of being saved by the bell."Ursula replied arrogantly and hugged Gabite. "Dear Gabite, you were just amazing out there."
Buneary, Piplup, Pikachu, Kirlia and Hoothoot cheered at Dawn and Pachirisu's victory.
"Awesome!"Ash cheered. "They did it!"
"That's my sister!"Denise laughed proudly.
Ash looked at Mamoswine.
"See? That's what battling is all about."Ash said. "Didn't Pachirisu work hard?"
Mamoswine didn't respond and simply fell asleep again causing Ash to complain.
"Huh?!"Ash retorted. "Mamoswine!"
Denise sighed. "Oh boy..."
"I think Mamoswine is starting to care."Brock assured.
Afterwards, Dawn was given the Chocovine Ribbon as Buneary and Pachirisu stood next to her.
"Here is Mr Contesta, Chief of the Pokemon Activities Committee!"Marian announced. "He has the district honour of presenting the Chocovine Ribbon to Dawn!"
"Congratulations, again and much luck in the future."Mr Contesta complemented.
Dawn took the Chocovine Ribbon.
"Thanks! Wow! Thanks so much!"Dawn remarked and held up the Chocovine Ribbon. "I just win the Chocovine Ribbon and it's all mine! All mine!"
Buneary and Pachirisu cheered at their victory.
"And with that, ladies and gentlemen, we bring the curtain down on another exciting, action packed Chocovine Contest!"Marian stated. "I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did and I'll see you all again!"
The crowd cheered at the end of the Chocovine Contest.
Later that Evening...
Brock, Dawn, Denise and Ash walked out of the Contest Hall.
"You finally got your fourth ribbon, Dawn."Ash commented.
"One more and you'll be able to enter the Grand Festival."Brock remarked and looked at Denise. "It looks like you have some catching up to do Denise."
"I know I need two more ribbons, but..."Denise started with a small smile.
Ash held Denise's free hand causing her to look at him.
"Don't worry, Dennie."Ash assured with a confident smile. "You will get there just like Dawn."
Denise blushed a little and smiled at Ash.
"Right."Denise chuckled lightly.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"Yeah, but I couldn't have done it without your help."Dawn responded kindly.
The heroes notice Ursula walking away with Gabite while dragging a suitcase.
"Ursula."Dawn said.
Ursula glared at Dawn with a angry expression.
"You won't get any compliments out of me."Ursula scowled bitterly. "Not a chance. But you did a good job, I guess."
Brock, Dawn and Ash watched Ursula walked away with nervous expressions while Denise frowned.
"Thanks, I guess?"Dawn responded.
"What a witchy brat."Denise muttered in a bitter tone.
"Alright! Now it's our turn, guys!"Ash stated proudly. "To the Snowpoint City! Hope your ready for this!"
"Pika pika!"Pikachu cheered.
"I hear you!"Dawn answered.
"Piplup!"Piplup chirped.
"I am looking forward to be there."Denise giggled.
"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted.
With that, the four heroes prepare to head out to Snowpoint City for Ash and Denise's next Gym Battles.
