Chapter 118: Evolving in the Name of Love!

Piplup was seen at a waterfall and concentrating on one thing only, evolving.

The Penguin Pokemon uses Bide to store all his energy inside and increase his evolution chances, but failed.

"Piplup."Piplup sighed and looked down sadly.

The Next Morning...

Dawn and Denise were ready to train for their next Pokemon Contest and sends all out of their pokemon.

Piplup and Torchic stood near the two sisters.

"Alright, everybody!"Dawn and Denise announced. "Come on out!"

Buneary, Pachirisu, Mamoswine and Ambipom appeared in front of Dawn while Torterra, Vaporeon, Luxio, Noctowl and Kirlia appeared in Denise's side.

"We're closing closing in on our fifth ribbon!"Dawn announced. "So let's train like there's no tomorrow!"

Buneary, Pachirisu, Mamoswine and Ambipom let out confident responds.

Denise looked at her pokemon.

"You hear that, gang? Dawn is one step ahead of us!"Denise stated and then smirked confidently. "So let's not hold back, alright?"

Torterra, Vaporeon, Luxio, Noctowl and Kirlia shouted in agreement.

"Torc torchic!"Torchic tweeted happily.

Suddenly Piplup walked forward and sat on the ground with a dizzy expression.

"Piplup?"Dawn said in confusion.

"Are you feeling alright?"Ash asked.

"Pika."Pikachu responded.

"Maybe you've been sleeping late."Denise suggested.

"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.

"Piplup!"Piplup assured and stood up with a proud expression. "Piplup!"

The Penguin Pokemon fell back on the ground, much to his confusion.

Dawn knelt down to look at her starter pokemon.

"You've been acting strange lately."Dawn commented. "Are you certain you're alright?"

Just before Piplup could respond, a familiar voice rang out.

"Look out! Look out!"Barry shouted. "Look out! Look out! Look out!"

Barry appeared and crashed into Ash as usual.

Ash's hat landed on Denise's head causing the girl to sweat drop, seeing her energetic rival.

"Ash, are you okay?"Brock asked.

"Yeah."Ash groaned and rubbed his head.

"What do you think you're doing!? I'm gonna make you pay a fine for that!"Barry snapped as he rubbed his sore head and then looked at the heroes. "Huh!? It's Ash and Denise!"

"Barry."Ash said in surprise.

"Never expected to see you here."Denise complemented as she placed Ash's hat back on his head.

Then Kenny and Amy walked forward and went next to Barry.

"Hey there, Dee-Dee and Neecy."Kenny greeted. "Long time no see."

Dawn and Denise were surprised to see Kenny with Amy.

"Kenny?"Dawn asked.

"And Amy too."Denise muttered bitterly.

"Obviously you two are gonna enter the Sandalstraw Contest too."Kenny replied with a smirk. "Right, Dee-Dee and Neecy?"

"Of course. It is Dee-Dee and Neecy after all."Amy complemented smugly. "Except one of them still has three ribbons."

Denise gritted her teeth in anger.

"Look you two better stop calling us, Dee-Dee and Neecy or else!"Dawn warned.

Barry went between the two sisters and their contest rivals.

"Just a cotton picking minute!"Barry protested. "Are you four trying to say that you all know each other!?"

"You know Kenny and Amy too, Barry?"Ash asked.

"Of course."Barry replied and looked at Kenny. "Kenny and I are best buddies, right?"

"Yeah."Kenny agreed and a nervous smile appeared on his face. "Although we just met each other now for the first time."

"And I've had a few encounters with Barry a couple times."Amy said simply.

Barry looked at the four heroes.

"You see, I just found out that both Kenny and I are from Twinleaf Town."Barry explained. "So that means we're practically brothers. The deal is Kenny is going to enter the Contest and then I'll enter Pokemon Ping Pong for a double win. We're gonna do some special training."

"Pokemon Ping Pong?"Ash asked in confusion.

"You don't know what that is? Let me see if I got it...Yeah! Here!"Barry remarked and took out a poster about Pokemon Ping Pong. "You see, they're holding Ping Pong after the contest and all the strong competitors are going to be there."

"I remember reading this in the Pokemon Center."Brock admitted. "It doubles Ping Pong, where Trainer and Pokemon form a team."

"Okay, Empoleon!"Barry stated and took out a pokeball. "Come on out!"

The pokeball opened causing Empoleon to appear.

"Empoleon!"

Barry began to brag about he and Empoleon were going to train in the Ping Pong tournament.

"Empoleon and I are gonna kick up a mighty mass of wind with our super special smashes!"Barry bragged as he and Empoleon waved their paddle and fin. "Lookie here! Alright!"

Ash, Brock, Denise, Dawn, Kenny and Amy sweat dropped at the sight.

Seeing Barry's Empoleon, Piplup began to use Bide like he did last night.

"Hey, is Piplup using Bide?"Dawn asked.

"Looks like it to me."Ash confirmed.

"But, why would he be using 'that' move?"Denise asked in confusion.

Suddenly, Piplup's entire body started glowing brighter, surprising everyone.

"Piplup's getting brighter!"Amy exclaimed.

"It looks like Piplup's starting to evolve!"Kenny admitted.

"Evolve?!"Dawn repeated in surprise.

"It looks like it to me."Brock commented.

"Piplup is gonna become Prinplup!"Ash remarked.

"Pika!"Pikachu replied with a smile.

But then Piplup stopped glowing and revealed he was still the same.

"Did the evolution just stopped?"Ash asked.

"Looks like it was a false alarm."Denise complemented.

"Torchic."Torchic chirped quietly.

"Piplup."Piplup panted heavily before collapsing to the ground.

Dawn picked up her starter pokemon.

"Piplup!"Dawn said worriedly.

"I think we should take him to Nurse Joy!"Ash stated.

"Good idea."Denise agreed with a nod.

Everyone rushed inside the Pokemon Center to bring Piplup to Nurse Joy.

Barry notice his friends going away.

"Hey!"Barry protested. "Wait!"

Barry and his Empoleon followed after their companions.

Inside the Pokemon Center...

Nurse Joy and Chansey checked on Piplup as the heroes watched the Penguin Pokemon being taken care of.

"How's Piplup?"Dawn asked worriedly. "Everything will be okay?"

"Dawn, don't worry."Nurse Joy assured. "Your Piplup just used up a lot of its energy. A good rest is all what's needed right now."

"Chansey."Chansey agreed with a nod.

"Thank goodness."Dawn said quietly.

Dawn smiled at Piplup, who was now fast asleep.

During the Evening...

Dawn, Brock, Ash and Denise sat to have dinner with Barry, Kenny and Amy while Piplup recovered in the Pokemon Center.

Pikachu and Torchic were on the table eating some pokemon food in their bowls.

"What a surprise!"Dawn remarked. "I had no idea Piplup was about to evolve. Of course, I knew that this day would come eventually. But when it happened, it's still a surprise."

"Well, it's not surprising to me."Kenny remarked. "It's because of what a good trainer you are."

"Yeah, Kenny is right."Barry agreed and folded his arms. "Great job, Dawn. I'll tell you, the evolutionary road from Piplup to Empoleon only gets harder and harder. You just mark my words."

"And compared to Piplup, Prinplup's twice as big which gives you twice as much of a chance to show off on what you've got in a contest, of course."Kenny added.

"Your going to have to change the way you battle, Dawn."Ash complemented with a smile. "Remember with Grotle, it was the exact same thing with me."

"That's right. Hey, no need to worry."Dawn responded. "I went through the same thing with Swinub evolving into a Mamoswine."

"Really, sis?"Denise sneered.

"Yes, Dennie."Dawn answered with a frown and then smiled. "I'll have a Prinplup soon! I'm starting to get really psyched!"

Dawn giggled as she ate another piece of bread.

Amy looked at Denise.

"By the way, Neecy."Amy warned confidently. "When the Sandalstraw Contest starts, I won't lose like I did in the Pokeringer Competition."

"Well, like I always say, we'll see."Denise replied with a smirk.

Amy scoffed at her rival's respond.

"Easy there, you two."Brock reminded with a smile.

Ash, Dawn, Barry and Kenny laughed lightly along with Pikachu and Torchic.

Later that Night...

When Piplup woke up and he looked at his reflection in a window.

As the Penguin Pokemon stared at himself, he sees a Prinplup of himself.

Piplup snapped out of his thoughts when Dawn came into the room holding a tray that had a bowl of pokemon food on it.

"Glad your awake."Dawn responded gently. "Do you want something to eat?"

Piplup shook his head and looked down.

This caused Dawn to place the tray on a table.

"Okay then. Maybe later."Dawn answered and knelt down to her starter pokemon. "Piplup isn't great? Wow! Soon your going to be a Prinplup! Awesome!"

"Pip piplup!"Piplup protested.

"Hey. It's natural to be scared, but you'll be fine."Dawn assured as she held Piplup's fins. "I'm going to be right there with you, okay?"

"Piplup piplup."Piplup replied with a firm look.

The Penguin Pokemon tries to make Dawn's wish come true by using Bide again, but still failed to evolve.

"Plup."Piplup chirped sadly.

"Piplup, it's alright."Dawn answered with a smile. "Evolving takes time. If not today, maybe it will be another day."

Feeling really sad and that he let his trainer down, Piplup runs away from Dawn.

"Wait! Piplup! Come back!"Dawn protested in shock. "Piplup!"

Meanwhile...

Ash, Denise, Brock, Kenny and Amy were being pushed forward in the hallway by Barry and his Empoleon.

"Hey!"Ash shouted.

"What are you doing?!"Kenny demanded.

"Barry, cut it out!"Denise scowled.

"Would you give it a rest?!"Amy retorted.

"Chill, Ames!"Barry instructed with a confident smirk. "You and the rest will enter Pokemon Ping Pong too! So of course you need to train! We will all train together!"

"Wait a minute, Barry!"Brock protested. "I never said I was going to enter!"

"But Brock, don't you get it? We can't lose!"Barry remarked. "The doorway of becoming the strongest ping pong team is about to open before our eyes!"

Ash, Denise, Brock, Kenny and Amy continued protesting at Barry to release them until Dawn rushed in front of them.

"Hey, guys!"Dawn shouted.

Dawn stopped in front of her friends to catch her breath.

"Whoa Dawn, what's wrong?"Kenny asked.

"You gotta help me! It's Piplup!"Dawn admitted worriedly.

Outside the Pokemon Center...

Dawn explained to her sister and friends what happened as they arrived in the forest.

"I get it."Brock replied. "Now it makes sense."

"What makes sense, Brock?"Ash asked.

"Piplup wanted to make himself evolve."Brock answered. "That's why he kept using Bide to increase his chances."

"Whoa!"Ash said in surprise. "For real?"

"It has honestly been a long overdue."Denise complemented. "I have been beginning to wonder when Piplup would evolve."

Dawn looked at the ground in sadness.

"Poor Piplup must be starving by now."Dawn responded. "One thing's for sure, we've got to look for Piplup now."

Ash nodded with a nod before looking at Denise and Brock.

"Dennie, Brock, we'll go this way."

"Right."Brock and Denise replied in unison.

Ash, Denise and Brock headed to the first direction of the forest.

"Geez, I wander why you always pair up with Neecy, Ash."Amy mumbled smugly under her breath.

"Alright Prinplup, come out and help!"Kenny ordered and threw out his pokeball.

The pokeball opened and Prinplup appeared in the area.

"Prin prinplup!"

"Monferno, you too!"Amy instructed.

The pokeball opened and Monferno appeared in front of Amy.

"Monferno!"

"Come on, Barry and Amy!"Kenny encouraged and pointed at a direction. "We'll go this way!"

"Right."Barry answered.

"Okay."Amy said with a nod.

Kenny, Barry and Amy headed to the other different of the forest, leaving Dawn by herself.

"Thanks and good luck."Dawn commented gratefully.

Dawn prepared to go to the third direction until she notice a light in the forest.

The girl headed to where the light was coming from and saw Piplup sitting under a waterfall.

Piplup was using Bide to try and evolve, but ended up collapsing into the water.

"Piplup!"Dawn called out. "Are you okay?!"

Dawn rushed forward and picked up Piplup.

"You used Bide to try evolving, didn't you?"Dawn questioned. "Why are you so desperate to make yourself evolve?"

This caused Piplup to get angry and jumped out of Dawn's hands.

"Piplup piplup!"Piplup shouted. "Piplup!"

Piplup fired Bubble Beam and running off.

"What Piplup?"Dawn asked. "Why are you so mad?"

Dawn followed after her starter pokemon.

"Piplup!"Dawn called out and looked around the forest. "Where did you go?"

Dawn searched and soon spotted Piplup stuck in a web.

"Pip piplup!"Piplup cried out and struggled to break free from the web. "Piplup!"

"Piplup!"Dawn shouted. "Hang on!"

Dawn runs forward as an Ariados attacked her with Sludge Bomb from a tree causing her to roll on the floor.

"Ariados!"Dawn gasped in shock.

Dawn quickly dodged Ariados' Sludge Bomb attacks from hitting her.

Seeing his trainer in danger, Piplup used Bubble Beam to stall Ariados.

"Now is my chance!"Dawn commented.

Dawn runs forward to save Piplup as another Sludge Bomb grazes the top of her head causing her to trip.

The attack frees Piplup and sends him airborne, but Dawn quickly catches him.

"It's alright, Piplup."Dawn assured. "Your safe now."

Suddenly multiple Ariados confront the duo from above the trees

"Whoa."Dawn said nervously. "That's a lot of Ariados."

"Piplup."Piplup chirped.

All the Ariados prepare to fire Hyper Beam.

"Is that what I think it is?"Dawn whimpered. "It is! It's Hyper Beam!"

Piplup watched the sight in fear but then frowned.

Just before the attacks hit, Piplup jumped forward and used Bide to take the attacks before retaliating, sending all the Ariados flying.

"Piplup?"Dawn asked in awe.

Piplup collapsed in exhaustion as Dawn picked him up.

Dawn stared at Piplup with a worried expression.

"Piplup."Dawn responded quietly.

Barry, Kenny and Amy continued searching for Piplup.

"I don't see Piplup."Kenny stated. "Do you, guys?"

"No."Barry answered.

"Me neither."Amy replied. "Maybe Dawn already found Piplup?"

"Maybe."Barry said. "But if not, let's go look somewhere else."

"Yeah."Kenny agreed.

Suddenly a Bullet Seed attack knocks down Prinplup and Empoleon which caused Barry, Kenny, Amy and Monferno to become shocked.

"Prinplup!"Kenny shouted.

"No!"Barry yelled out. "Empoleon!"

Out of no where, two mecha arms grab Prinplup and Empoleon.

"Huh?!"Amy gasped.

"Whoever's doing that, you're gonna get fined!"Barry retorted. "Empoleon, Hydro Cannon!"

"Alright, Prinplup use Bubble Beam!"Kenny ordered.

Empoleon and Prinplup try to use Hydro Cannon and Bubble Beam, but the hands spin and disorient them.

"Monferno, stop those hands with Flame Wheel!"Amy ordered.

Monferno hits the hands with Flame Wheel, but the fire attack didn't damage the mecha hands.

"Not a single scratch!"Amy scoffed in disbelief.

"No way!"Kenny said with a frown.

"Alright, who's responsible for this?!"Barry demanded.

Kenny, Barry and Amy notice the hands belong to a large mecha that looked like a Prinplup causing them to become stunned.

"What the?!"Kenny, Amy and Barry shouted in disbelief.

"Monferno!"Monferno growled angrily.

Dawn carried Piplup to a lake as the little water type woke up.

"I don't know how to thank you, Piplup."Dawn said with a smile. "You saved my life back there."

"Piplup."Piplup chirped with a proud expression.

"Piplup, do you remember the very same thing happened before?"Dawn asked. "A long time ago on the first day you and I met. And because of what happened that day in the forest, I choose you at Professor Rowan's research lab."

"Pip piplup."Piplup said sadly. "Piplup."

Then Ash, Denise and Brock rushed up to Dawn and Brock.

"Dawn!"Ash remarked.

"Pikachu!"Pikachu responded.

"You found Piplup!"Denise chuckled.

"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted.

"Hey, guys."Dawn greeted.

"What a relief to see Piplup okay."Brock commented.

"Then let's get back to the Pokemon Center."Ash suggested.

Suddenly another mecha arm grabbed Piplup from the floor.

"Piplup!"Dawn yelled out.

"Oh no!"Denise gasped.

Ash, Pikachu, Denise, Torchic and Brock watched the sight in shock.

Then a giant Prinplup mecha shows up, revealing the captured Piplup evolutionary line.

"It's Prinplup and Empoleon!"Ash exclaimed.

Kenny, Barry, Amy and Monferno rushed next to Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock.

"Give back my Prinplup right now!"Kenny demanded.

"Do you realise on how much I'm gonna fine you for stealing my Empoleon!"Barry complained.

Team Rocket began reciting their motto.

"Chitter-chatter, is that the lurid lilts of hot air I'm hearing whether I like it or not?

"Putting my poor eardrums on the spot!"

"On the wind!"

"Past the stars!"

"There's a plot!"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace!"

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place!"

Amy and Barry interrupted Team Rocket's motto.

"Man, this lame motto is making me tired."Amy yawned.

"Save it for someone else."Barry insisted with a bored look. "You're Team Missile, right?"

"That's Team Rocket, nut logs!"Meowth scowled with a glare.

"Wobbuffet!"Wobbuffet agreed.

"Piplup, Prinplup and Empoleon belong to us!"Dawn reminded angrily.

"Such twerpish denial."Jessie said evilly. "The fact is, we're the only team worthy of a great evolutionary set like this."

"Are you nuts?!"Kenny snapped.

"Not only that, they're also complete idiots."Denise insulted with a shrug.

"They sure are!"Ash agreed. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt, let's go!"

Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, but the mecha redirects the attack to harm Prinplup and Empoleon, which shocked everyone.

"The more zapping you insist on doing, the more zapped your pokemon friends will be feeling!"Jessie laughed evilly.

"You're powerless against our Piprinoleon, so just give it up!"James sneered.

"Although watching you dopes do the dumbest things over and over takes its toll, we've got our prizes!"Meowth admitted.

"Let's slide!"Jessie, Meowth and James said in unison.

The mecha deployed tank treads and proceeds to escape causing everyone to move out of the way.

Dawn spotted Piplup and decided to run after the mecha, getting on the side.

"Dawn!"Denise shouted in shock. "Wait!"

Denise, Ash, Brock, Kenny, Barry, Amy and Monferno started chasing after the mecha.

Dawn looked at Piplup, who was trapped in the glass part of the mecha.

"Piplup, are you okay?"Dawn questioned in concern.

"Piplup."Piplup answered and shook his head.

"Don't worry."Dawn replied firmly. "I'll get you out of there."

Dawn noticed a hatch up top and started climbing towards it.

Inside the Piprinoleon Mecha...

Meowth smiled at Jessie and James.

"When the boss gets this evolutionary package, we'll be rich while keeping it real!"Meowth remarked confidently.

"Wobbuffet."Wobbuffet agreed.

Suddenly the hatch of the mecha and Dawn jumped inside as she glared at Team Rocket.

"Jumping twerpettes!" Meowth insulted in annoyance.

"Piplup belongs to me!"Dawn replied angrily. "Give Piplup back now!"

"We get the word now."Jessie scoffed. "It's the give back part of your pointless demands that falls upon deaf ears!"

"Not to mention our Piprinoleon is our private property and you're trespassing!"James added.

Suddenly a bubble beam caused a machine vent to burst open and Piplup appeared next to Dawn.

"Piplup!"Dawn gasped with a relieved smile.

Piplup glared at Team Rocket.

"Piplup piplup!"Piplup chirped angrily.

"That impudent little twerp pokemon is saying if we want the twerpette, we're gonna have to go through Piplup first!"Meowth translated.

"Impudent is a big word, but well used."Jessie sneered.

"Compared with catching Empoleon and Prinplup, catching you will be a day at the beach!"James added.

"Wobbuffet!"Wobbuffet agreed.

"Piplup piplup piplup!"Piplup warned in anger.

"Whoa, tough talk!"Meowth complemented. "Piplup says it'll take us apart like it did all those scary Ariados! Big mouth!"

Dawn looked at Piplup.

"Don't overdue it, I can still protect you."Dawn admitted.

"Piplup piplup!"Piplup chirped with a frown. "Pip piplup!"

"Now Piplup is saying he will protect the twerpette just like it did in day one!"Meowth translated. "But he wants to do it much better this time! What Piplup is trying to say is he wants to be a greater partner that's what I'm hearing!"

Dawn's eyes widen in surprise as Meowth nodded in understanding.

"I think what Piplup is coming from."Meowth commented. "I always wanted to protect the boss by keeping that pompous Persian mucho miles away!"

A realisation came to Dawn when she understood that the reason Piplup has been using Bide was to try and get himself to evolve because he wanted to be a greater partner to her and do better in protecting her.

"I get it now."Dawn admitted. "That's the reason you kept using Bide was to make yourself evolve."

"Piplup."Piplup chirped with a nod.

Meowth started crying at the sight.

"Gets me right here!"Meowth sobbed. "I've never seen a beautiful scene like that!"

"Will you stop wearing your heart on your sleeve!"Jessie snapped.

"Indeed!"James responded. "Now you saps let Meowth's happiness be!"

Dawn smiled and bend down to look at Piplup.

"And I realised that's why you chose me that day in the forest."Dawn commented. "Piplup, I have always seen you as a great partner and I promise I'll make sure to help you evolve in another way."

Hearing these words of wisdom made Piplup feel really touched and he suddenly started to glow brightly, much to Dawn and Team Rocket's surprise.

Then the light stopped and revealed a very familiar penguin pokemon.

"Prinplup!"Prinplup cried out.

"Incredible! You finally did it, Piplup!"Dawn remarked with a bright smile. "Oops! I mean Prinplup!"

"Prinplup!"Prinplup replied with a smile.

Then Dawn and Prinplup glared at Team Rocket causing the evil trio to become nervous.

"We will always be the most special of special partners forever!"Dawn announced. "Prinplup use Whirlpool!"

Prinplup used Whirlpool to sent Team Rocket blasting out of their mecha and crash outside.

This caused Kenny's Prinplup and Barry's Empoleon to bet set free.

Dawn and Prinplup landed down to check on the two pokemon.

"Oh my, are you two okay?"Dawn asked.

"Tacky twerpette!"Jessie shouted angrily. "The only arrogance I can stand is mine!"

"I think a pokemon battle would be just want the doctor ordered!"James commented and took out a pokeball. "Alright Carnivine, hop to it!"

Carnivine came out and started biting his trainer's head.

"Why can't you seem to hop to it without biting is beyond me!"James complained and threw Carnivine off him. "Use Vine Whip!"

"Quick, Seviper use Poison Tail!"Jessie ordered and threw out her pokeball.

Seviper and Carnivine charged forward to attack Prinplup.

"Alright, Prinplup use Bubble Beam!"Dawn ordered.

Prinplup fired Bubble Beam at Carnivine and Seviper causing them to be thrown back.

"Excellent!"Dawn complemented happily.

"Prinplup."Prinplup answered with a nod.

"I don't like this!"Meowth retorted.

"Now that we ended up with a pair of Prinplup, the boss' gift is kaput and now our evolutionary is spoiled!"James retorted.

"We'll just have to heist this into an Empoleon triple pay!"Jessie admitted. "And if we were to give three tops of the evolution heap to the boss, he'd be so giddy that he would give us the shirt off his back!"

"I don't like it, Jess!"James complained.

"Stop being so literal and trust me!"Jessie scowled and looked at Seviper. "Seviper, let's go!"

"Carnivine, you follow suit as well!"James ordered.

Seviper and Carnivine prepared to attack Prinplup.

Suddenly a Thunderbolt, Hidden Power and Flamethrower hits Seviper and Carnvine causing them to be thrown in front of Team Rocket.

Dawn turned around and saw her companions rushing forward.

"Dawn!"Ash called out. "Piplup!"

"Pikachu!"Pikachu shouted.

"Are you okay, sis?"Denise questioned.

"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted.

Kenny and Barry hugged Prinplup and Empoleon in relief.

"Prinplup, your alright!"Kenny remarked happily.

"Empoleon!"Barry laughed.

"Looks like they are all safe and sound."Amy complemented.

"Monferno."Monferno chuckled.

Ash, Brock and Denise notice Prinplup behind Dawn.

"Whoa, did Piplup evolve?"Ash asked.

"He sure did."Dawn giggled.

"Congratulations, Dawn."Denise complemented. "Your starter pokemon now looks stronger than ever."

Pikachu and Torchic smiled at their newly evolved friend.

"Pikachu."Pikachu responded.

"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.

"Prinplup."Prinplup answered with a nod.

Team Rocket glared at their enemies.

"Time to put the kibosh on this calamity!"James stated.

"Now Seviper, Poison Tail pronto!"Jessie ordered.

"Carnivine, beguile with Bullet Seed!"James also ordered.

Seviper and Carnivine unleashed their attacks towards the heroes pokemon.

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"Ash ordered.

"Torchic use Fire Spin!"Denise ordered.

Pikachu and Torchic hit Seviper and Carnivine with their attacks.

"Monferno, Focus Punch!"Amy ordered.

Monferno hits Seviper and Carnivine with Focus Punch which caused the two pokemon to be slammed into the floor.

"Come on Seviper show some spine!"Jessie demanded.

"Carnivine, upright!"James ordered.

"Hey Dawn, I think you should wrap this up."Denise insisted.

"Right!"Dawn agreed firmly. "Prinplup use Whirlpool!"

Prinplup unleashed a Whirlpool to sent Team Rocket blasting off into the night sky.

"That Prinplup's a lot tougher now that he evolved."Meowth commented. "We may have made a royal mess but I'm satisfied none the less."

"Will you put a cork in the prose?"Jessie retorted.

"We pummeled our Piprinoleon and you want to wax poetic?"James questioned.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"Team Rocket screamed and disappeared in the sky.

Dawn smiled at Prinplup.

"Prinplup, thank you."Dawn thanked. "Looks like you saved me again."

Prinplup smiled. "Prinplup."

"I'm glad you treasure the memory of the day you and I met."Dawn cried with a joyful look. "We shall always stick and keep growing together! But someday we'll be a greater team!"

Prinplup smiled happily as he and Dawn embraced each other as their friends looked on.

With the excitement over for now, Ash and Barry start training for the Ping Pong competition while Dawn, Denise, Kenny and Amy practice for the Sandalstraw Contest.

Everyone were now determined as ever on achieving their goals.
