Pokemon: Friends to the End
Chapter 121: Classroom Training!
Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock have arrived in Snowpoint City.
Dawn wore a long sleeved red trench coat with multiple pink buttons in it and a white scarf.
Denise wore a sea-foam green trench coat with a few gold buttons in it and her dark blue hair was tied in a braided ponytail with a small red ribbon.
Ash and Brock wore matching blue coats.
The weather was cold so they had to wear warm coats to prevent themselves from freezing.
When the four heroes reached Snowpoint City, they saw Zoey waiting for them with her Glameow.
"Zoey!"Dawn called out.
"Hey!"Ash greeted.
"Good to see you again!"Denise laughed.
"Prinplup!"Prinplup chirped.
"Pika!"Pikachu said with a wave.
"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted happily.
"Hey guys."Zoey responded and pointed at her Poketch. "Your right on time."
"Well, of course. Right on time."Dawn agreed proudly. "It is, after all, my mum always says to keep your appointments and be punctual."
Denise frowned while Ash and Brock smiled sheepishly.
"Of course, she forgets to mention the reason we were on time is because we were running away from her screaming at us that we're gonna be late..."Ash admitted.
Brock nodded in agreement.
"At least neither of you didn't get thrown off the bed while you were sleeping."Denise mumbled and rubbed her eyes.
Dawn glared at her twin sister and friends.
"Anyway, it's been a long time, hasn't it?"Zoey asked.
"It has the last time must've been back when you and Denise battled against Fantina."Brock commented.
"You right, Brock."Zoey agreed and looked at Ash. "How did your battle with Fantina go, Ash?"
"I won that one big time."Ash answered and showed his Badge Case.
"Pika pika."Pikachu responded happily.
"Alright. That's awesome."Zoey complemented.
Dawn and Denise looked at Snowpoint City.
"This place is like a winter wonderland."Denise remarked.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"I can't wait for you to show us around the town where you were born!"Dawn said excitedly.
"Prinplup."Prinplup agreed with a nod.
"Yeah, sparkling white with snow...Welcome to Snowpoint City!"Zoey declared.
Zoey guides the heroes through her hometown.
"One of Snowpoint City's nicest things is its peace and quiet."Zoey explained. "Even the town's people are peace and quiet. I love this place."
Suddenly an Abomasnow came out from a tree and ambushes the heroes.
"Everyone get back!"Zoey ordered and looked at Glameow. "Quick Glameow, go!"
Glameow counter attacks Abomasnow's ice attack.
"So what's this all about?"Ash demanded with a frown.
Dawn checks Abomasnow in her pokedex.
"Abomasnow the Frost Tree Pokemon and the evolved form of Snover."Dawn's Pokedex said. "Abomasnow appear when snow flowers bloom and return to places unknown when the petals fall."
"Snover's evolved form?"Denise said in surprise. "It looks tough."
"This Abomasnow must be a wild pokemon."Brock suggested.
"Nah! Wrong!"A girl's voice declared. "Guess again!"
Zoey, Brock, Ash, Dawn and Denise looked up and sees a black haired girl on one of the snow covered trees.
"Zo-Zo and Glameow!"the girl remarked. "Welcome back!"
"It's always a wild welcome from you, Ms Senior!"Zoey called out.
Suddenly the black haired girl's eyes sparkled like stars and got off the tree to talk to Dawn and Denise.
"They're so cute!"the girl squealed as she looked at Dawn's scarf and Denise's coat. "You two must tell me, where did you get them? Veilstone City? Jublife City?"
Zoey, Glameow, Prinplup, Pikachu and Torchic sweat dropped at the sight.
"Actually our mum send them to us."Dawn answered with a nervous smile.
"If your mother sent them, then they must be handmade! They're adorable!"the black haired girl suggested happily. "Your both so lucky!"
"Umm...thank you?"Denise replied sheepishly.
Ash and Brock sweat dropped at the girl's admiration for the two sisters' winter clothes.
Zoey quickly went between the black haired girl and the twins.
"Please! Ms Senior!"Zoey reminded. "Introduce yourself!"
"Oh! Sorry about that!"the black haired girl apologised.
The energetic girl took a few steps back and does a wink pose with her Abomasnow.
"The name is Candice and I'm the Gym Leader of the Snowpoint Gym!"the girl declared.
Ash, Brock and Denise became surprised what Candice just said.
"Gym Leader?!"Ash said in surprise.
Ash and Denise walked up to Candice.
"See, I'm Ash from Pallet Town and I'm here because I want to challenge the Snowpoint Gym."Ash admitted.
"My name is Denise and I'm from Twinleaf town."Denise responded. "I, too, came here to battle the Snowpoint Gym."
"Yippee!"Candice cheered in joy. "We haven't had challengers for so long!"
Then Candice and Zoey began to walk around the city with the four heroes.
"You see, things have been a little on the slow side of my Gym."Candice explained.
"Slow, huh?"Ash said. "That's too bad."
"You said it, Ash."Denise agreed.
"When you live in a town that's this far north and this cold with not much to do here."Candice stated. "Challengers don't come around all that much."
"Boy, I know what it feels like to have a Gym without a lot of challengers around."Brock commented.
"Yeah?"Candice asked in surprise.
"Yeah."Zoey agreed. "You see, Brock was the Gym Leader over at the Pewter Gym in the Kanto region."
"Really? Wow, that means we've got the same job, then."Candice remarked. "So are you on vacation?"
"No, my family's running the Gym now."Brock explained. "So at the moment, I'm out and about doing a little breeder training."
"Awesome!"Candice complemented and pointed at a building she recognised. "Look! Up ahead! You see that? That's the Pokemon Trainer School!"
"And that's where we went to school."Zoey added.
"So that's why you call her Ms Senior."Dawn responded.
Candice looked at Ash and Denise.
"And since I have so much free time on my hands, I'm actually a teacher at this school now."Candice admitted.
"Wow, a Gym Leader and a teacher?"Ash said in surprise.
"So Ash, Denise, how many Gym Badges do you each have?"Candice asked.
"I've got six."Ash answered.
"I got six too."Denise replied.
"That's great, you two."Candice stated with a smile. "I'm wondering if I could show you all off as examples to my students at the Trainer's School."
"You mean battling?"Ash asked.
"No, I would really like you two to teach my class."Candice admitted. "I think it would be a great experience for all of them. Can we have the Gym Battles later?"
"Okay."Denise answered. "It would be cool to teach at your school."
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"Dennie is right."Ash agreed. "I'd also be happy to do anything that I can. Right, Pikachu?"
Pikachu smiled. "Pikachu."
"Excellent!"Candice answered happily and looked at Zoey. "And Zoey? I want you to get your kiai on too!"
"Yeah, I hear you."Zoey assured with a nervous smile.
"Something wrong?"Dawn asked.
Zoey took out her Ribbon Case to show her four ribbons.
"Take a look."Zoey insisted. "I just can't seem to earn my fifth Ribbon."
"Yeah, me too."Dawn replied. "One more to go. Same goes with Denise."
"Hey Denise, I have seen your contest battle against Amy."Zoey chuckled. "Boy, you really showed her what you got."
Denise gives a small smile causing Torchic to look at her.
Candice ran over and nudged Zoey with a bright smile.
"Zo-Zo, you've already managed to earn four ribbons, but when it comes to number five, you fall a little bit short. So this is your Ms Senior with a big newsflash! Put kiai in it!"
"What in the world is kiai?"Dawn asked.
"I think Miss Senior is telling me I need to battle."Zoey replied.
"Bingo."Candice agreed and clicked her fingers. "But before we do that, I want Zo-Zo to see how good all my students are! How hard they work! You've got to remember your routes!"
Zoey chuckled with a nervous smile on her face.
In the Pokemon Trainer School...
Candice takes the group to her senior class, where adult Trainers already with a Pokemon can learn the basics.
Among the students were Team Rocket in disguise and Lucas.
"The Pokemon Trainer School. The place where you study the basics of handling your Pokemon up until the age of 10."Zoey explained. "Of course, that's the main reason for this school's existence. But there's another course older students may take as well."
"What's that?"Ash asked.
"It's a special course."Zoey answered."Everyone here got their first pokemon, but for one reason or another, all these people had to interrupt their pokemon journeys. You see, unlike other schools, this school has a practical side."
"Today, I've got a special treat for you."Candice stated. "We're lucky enough to have very special guests. One of them has come all the way from Kanto's Pallet Town and the other came all the way from our Sinnoh region's Twinleaf Town to challenge me here at the Snowpoint Gym. Their names are Ash and Denise. Your guys are on."
"Hello."Denise greeted with a smile.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"It's nice to be here."Ash remarked.
"Pikachu."Pikachu said.
"Both Ash and Denise here have earned an incredible amount of six Badges."Candice admitted.
Ash and Denise showed their Gym Battles to the Adult Trainers causing the adult students let out surprise gasps.
"Whoa!"A man said in awe. "They're the real thing!"
"Land sakes and they're still so young!"A woman wearing glasses gasped.
"Whoa!"A chef commented. "How cool is that?"
"So Ash, Denise, would you mind giving everyone here your mottos on how to win a Gym Battle?"Candice asked.
"A motto, huh?"Ash said. "Let me see...my advice is the best defence is a good offence."
"My motto would be is always smile."Denise instructed. "That's why I always keep a big smile and believe in my pokemon when I battle."
The trainers were all awed by such motto as one of them began to write it down.
"I gotta write this down."the chef said as he wrote in his notebook.
"Okay then, class."Candice spoke up. "Our assignment today would be to do some studying right along with these boys here."
"Right!"the trainers responded in agreement.
"And Dawn, you're welcome to join in if you want."Candice insisted.
"Alright."Dawn remarked and looked at Prinplup. "What do you say, Prinplup?"
"Prinplup."Prinplup answered with a smile.
Dawn went to sit next to a disguised James as Brock looked at Zoey.
"She may be a teacher here at this school, but she's a Gym Leader as well."Brock said. "She could be testing Ash and Denise while hiding it by asking questions, see?"
"Maybe."Zoey answered.
Denise sat next to Lucas in row behind Ash, who sat next to a businessman named Jeremiah that had a Skuntank next to him.
"How are you doing, Lucas?"Denise asked.
"Great, Dennie."Lucas answered. "I won my seventh badge a week ago, but I decided to stay here for a while to take part in the Pokemon Trainer School."
"Nice."Denise complemented. "Me and the others just arrived today."
Denise sees a Riolu hiding and sitting on the left side of Lucas.
"Wow, a Riolu."Denise remarked. "Is that what hatched from your Pokemon Egg?"
"Yeah. This is Riolu."Lucas introduced and stroked Riolu's head. "He recently hatched so his a little shy around strangers."
Denise smiled at Riolu.
"It's nice to meet you, Riolu."Denise replied kindly. "Aren't you adorable?"
"Torchic."Torchic giggled.
Riolu looked down and blushed a little.
"So now it's time for Candice's class!"Candice announced. "I call this my Quick Kiai Quiz! Press the button on your desk before answering!"
"A quiz?!"Ash said in shock.
"It's good practice for winning a pokemon battle you know."Jeremiah admitted.
"Winning a pokemon battle, right..."Ash said and placed his hand on the red button.
"I just love this kind of quiz! It's great!"Dawn stated and looked at Prinplup. "Prinplup just watch."
"Prinplup."Prinplup answered.
"Ugh, so it's a test?"Denise mumbled in disproval.
Lucas smiled while sweat dropping.
"This kind of quiz sure is unique."Brock commented.
"It's fun, isn't it?"Zoey asked. "That's my Ms Senior's style!"
"Question 1!"Candice declared. "Pikachu is..."
"Okay! I got it!"Ash replied and pressed the red button.
Everyone looked at Ash with surprised expressions.
"Nice speed, Ash."Candice complemented. "Now I hope you're ready with your answer! You're on!"
"If it's about Pikachu, then I know it."Ash responded confidently. "The answer is an Electric Type."
Candice does a buzzer sound.
"Wrong!"Candice answered.
"What?"Ash said in confusion.
"Ash, your supposed to let Candice finish saying the question before answering."Denise reminded quietly.
"Overconfidence can lead to some serious mistakes."Jeremiah admitted. "True in quizzes and battles too."
James stood up from his seat to speak.
"If I may add one thing, in a quiz like this, speed is vital!"James responded. "But with a series of twists and turns you need to predict the end of the questions correctly!"
"Good point from one of our new students."Candice stated.
"I may not look it but when I was a mere lad, they used to call me the prince of quizzes back in my hometown!"James bragged.
Lucas and Denise looked at other with looks of disbelief.
"Alright."Candice said and clapped her hands. "Let me finish the question. Pikachu is a Mouse Pokemon, so then..."
James quickly pressed his red button.
"Tiny Mouse Pokemon!"James interrupted.
Candice does a buzzer sound again.
"Sorry! Wrong again!"Candice announced.
"Starting with Pikachu is a Mouse Pokemon would lead one to Pichu, would it not?"James asked with a frown.
The screen behind Candice replaced Pikachu's image with a Cyndaquil.
"No, not this time. Listen closely."Candice instructed. "What kind of pokemon is Cyndaquil?"
Jeremiah pressed his red button before anyone else did.
"Mr Jeremiah was the first!"Candice commented.
"Fire Mouse Pokemon."Jeremiah answered.
"That's correct!"Candice announced.
"Drat!"James scowled angrily. "So the connection was through Mouse Pokemon!"
"Man, this is tough."Ash said quietly.
"Pika."Pikachu agreed.
"Everyone is so fast."Dawn stated.
Prinplup nodded. "Prinplup."
"One of the reason's why I don't like tests."Denise mumbled.
"Torchic."Torchic answered.
The screen showed Abra in the screen.
"Now next question, Abra is..."Candice started.
Jeremiah pressed the red button again.
"He knows already?"Ash said in shock.
"Mr Jeremiah. The answer, please."Candice instructed.
"That's 24 hours."Jeremiah answered.
"Excellent!"Candice remarked. "Right again!"
All the other trainers were surprised and confused at the same time.
"Abra is 24 hours?"Dawn said in surprise. "What does that mean?"
"I thought Abra was a Psychic type."Denise responded.
"I honestly don't know the answer for this."Lucas commented.
"I think it goes something like this."Jeremiah responded. "An Abra would sleep for 18 hours every day. Okay, now how about a smell of a Stunky last?"
"Exactly right, Mr Jeremiah!"Candice agreed.
The other students clapped at Mr Jeremiah.
"Wow."Ash answered. "Talk about an awesome prediction."
"So Ash what did you think?"Jeremiah asked.
Ash closed his eyes and clenched his fists in annoyance.
"That guy is incredible."Brock said.
"He must've studied really hard."Zoey said.
"Okay, next question."Candice stated. "A powerful move can only Meowth learn is..."
Jeremiah pressed his red button for the third time.
"Mr Jeremiah, first again!"Candice commented.
"Payday, ma'am."Jeremiah replied.
"That's another correct answer!"Candice admitted in approval.
"How is he doing it?"Ash asked.
"He must have studied all pokemon to answer the questions correctly."Denise suggested.
Lucas nodded in agreement.
A man with a Ditto next to him raised his hand up.
"Excuse me?"the man replied.
"Yes?"Candice said.
"Is this something supposed to do with battles, right?"the man asked. "I came here to learn about battling."
"Alright then."Candice answered and looked at the other students. "Class, is there anybody else asking the same thing?"
All the students raised their hands up.
"So you see class, my kiai quizzes are designed to reflect junior reflexes razor sharp."Candice explained. "In a quiz or a battle, if you can learn to reuse the situation accurately it will work to your advantage. When in a battle, your pokemon actually does the battling leaving all the decisions to the trainer. What we're doing here is classroom exercises that will help you become a trainer, your pokemon can believe in."
"I should know as an ex-Gym Leader."Brock stated. "She is definitely telling it straight."
"That's my Ms Senior."Zoey admitted with a thumbs up.
Afterwards...
The class ended, so it was now break time for the students.
Ash groaned as he lied on the grass with Brock next to him.
"Aw, this stinks!"Ash complained.
"Relax."Brock instructed. "You simply show off your true battle when your in battle, see? Does time work? That's not really your thing."
"Pikachu."Pikachu agreed.
"I wondered about that."Jeremiah stated as he walked forward.
"Jeremiah!"Ash said as he placed himself up.
"With six badges, you don't seem to know that much."Jeremiah commented. "To be honest, I'm surprised."
"I'll do better next time."Ash assured confidently.
"I hope so."Jeremiah replied.
Jeremiah walked away as Brock looked at Ash.
"Don't worry."Brock instructed. "It doesn't change the fact that your a genius in Gym Battles really."
Ash looked down in silence.
Lucas and Denise walked up to Ash, Pikachu and Brock with Riolu and Torchic next to them.
"Ash, come quick."Denise insisted. "Candice and Zoey has something to show us."
"Alright."Ash answered as he stood up from the grass.
Ash, Brock, Lucas and Denise meet Dawn, Zoey and Candice at a small shed.
"Dawn."Lucas said with a smile.
"Hey, guys."Dawn greeted.
"Okay, you know how stubborn Zo-Zo is."Candice responded.
Brock, Ash, Denise, Lucas and Dawn looked at Candice with surprised expressions.
"Ms Senior!"Zoey complained in embarrassment.
Candice looked at Glameow.
"Well for good reason you know exactly what I mean."Candice replied. "Don't you, Glameow?"
"Glameow."Glameow purred.
"I first met Glameow one super cold morning when I was on my way to school. I just couldn't leave Glameow, so I brought her back home."Zoey explained. "But my parents told me that I couldn't have a pokemon until I was a trainer and I had to take Glameow to the Pokemon Center. So at that moment, I decided to secretly raise Glameow right here. I made a promise to myself that when I became a trainer, I would make Glameow my partner."
"Wow!"Dawn commented. "That's such an amazing story, Zoey."
"Meow."Glameow purred.
"She tried to keep it quiet but Mr Honcho found out right away."Candice admitted.
"So what happened next?"Denise questioned.
"I refused to give Glameow up and that's when Ms Senior stepped in and stood up for me."Zoey answered.
"Eventually Mr Honcho gave in, but only on the condition that both Zo-Zo and I would be raising our dear Glameow together."Candice stated.
"Of course."Brock replied with a smile. "That explains why Glameow is Zoey's number one partner."
"Now don't tell me Zo-Zo didn't give you an earful about not approving of trainers who wanna compete in both Contests and Gym Battles, right?"Candice asked.
"I remember something about that."Ash commented.
"Yeah."Dawn agreed. "At the Jubilife Contest where we first met."
"Zoey wasn't impressed that Ash was in the contest since he was only interested in doing Gym Battles."Denise chuckled.
"But as you can see, it's not always a bad thing to have a bit of a stubborn streak."Candice stated.
"Ms Senior decided to put all of her efforts into battling, while I decided to enter contests and aim to become Top Coordinator."Zoey explained as Glameow snuggled against her legs. "You see, in order to reach the very top, we promised each other that we'd concentrate on pursuing only one career path. Trainers that try to do both look like they're not taking it seriously and Ms Senior gets so mad because it's doing way too much stuff."
Candice placed her arm around Zoey.
"Too much is more than enough you know."Candice giggled and looked at Dawn. "Tell me Dawn, you've got four ribbons now don't you?"
"Right."Dawn agreed. "Although I did just try to win my fifth ribbon and I lost. But for some reason, I feel relieved."
"Relieved?"Candice asked in confusion.
"Since Zoey and Denise both have four ribbons like me, it's almost feeling like the three of us are the same inside."Dawn complemented.
"The same?!"Candice shouted angrily. "You three are rivals now, aren't you? You think your going to win with an attitude like that?! Where's your kiai?!"
Riolu hid behind Lucas' legs in fright since he didn't like Candice's loud shouting.
"Your really into this kiai thing."Lucas said with a nervous expression.
"Yikes."Ash mumbled with a startled look.
"I suspected it during the quick quiz too."Brock stated quietly. "How intense she gets during a win or lose situation. I'll bet she really brings it in a battle."
Ash nodded with a understanding look.
Candice let out a shout which caused everyone to wince and freak out a little.
"Wait a minute!"Candice shouted in realisation and grabbed Denise by the shirt. "How come your competing in both Gym Battles and Pokemon Contests, Denise?! Don't you realise focusing on both careers will give you big headaches and increase your stress?!"
"Actually Candice, I honestly don't really mind doing both Gym Battles and Pokemon Contests."Denise answered with a sheepish smile. "I enjoy doing both careers with my pokemon because I want them to do their very best to increase their skills when entering the Sinnoh League and the Grand Festival."
"In other words, Denise is actually someone who dreams big and that's why she works so hard with her pokemon."Lucas added proudly. "It's sort of similar with me when training my pokemon to do well in Gym Battles."
Candice calms down and releases Denise.
"Okay. Those are both fair excuses."Candice remarked happily. "You two must be quite a power couple to make sure your both successful in your goals."
"They sure are."Dawn sneered in amusement.
Denise's face became bright red as Lucas smiled a little.
"Oh! No! No!"Denise answered quickly. "Me and Lucas are just childhood friends! Nothing else!"
Lucas looked at Denise quietly, but didn't say anything causing Riolu to look at him in curiosity.
Suddenly the school alarm went on causing the group to become alarm.
"What's going on?!"Ash demanded.
The group headed to the pokeball storage room where they saw Mr Honcho come out and drop on his knees.
"Mr Honcho, sir!"Candice shouted worriedly. "Are you okay?!"
"Something happened!"Mr Honcho stated. "Something terrible!"
The heroes headed out of the school and saw James' Carnivine using Vine Whip to wrap Jeremiah's Skuntank while Jessie and James held bags that contained the pokeballs that they stole in the school.
"Now Seviper take care of this!"Jessie ordered.
Seviper prepared to attack Skuntank, but gets hit by Pikachu's Quick Attack.
"No posing there."Jessie muttered.
Candice, Zoey, Ash, Dawn and Denise glared at Team Rocket while Brock and Lucas carefully helped Mr Honcho.
"Why you!"Candice shouted angrily. "What are you doing?!"
Team Rocket removed their disguises.
"We're graduates from the school of awesome disgusing."Jessie giggled evilly.
"With a master's degree in pokeball thievery."James stated.
"So dig this."Meowth said with a evil smirk. "Any closer and the Skuntank gets skunked."
"Did that Meowth just talk?!"Candice said in disbelief. "That's impossible!"
Team Rocket began reciting their motto.
"When it comes to impossible, you teacher types are tough."
"We sprint through life while you eggheads walk."
"Through the snow."
"And the sleet!"
"Round the clock!"
"Bringing chaos at a frosty pace!"
"Dashing through the snow with glee on my face!"
"Catching bad colds and taking Vitamin C!"
"When everything is worse nothing feels good to me."
"Jessie!"
"And James!"
"Meowth's the name!"
"Putting teachers and students in their place!"
"We're Team Rocket!"
"And we're in your face!"
"This is no joke!"Candice snapped. "I will not allow evil thieving criminals into Snowpoint City!"
"Me neither!"Zoey agreed. "I won't sit by while you bad people destroy my school!"
Lucas ran next to Zoey.
"Count me in too!"Lucas replied.
Riolu went next to Glameow as the normal type glared at Team Rocket.
"Meow!"Glameow hissed.
"Abomasnow, your on!"Candice stated and took out her pokball.
The pokeball opened causing Abomasnow to appear.
"Abomasnow will get those pokeballs back!"Candice vowed. "Take care of Skuntank, Ash!"
"Right!"Ash agreed and threw out his pokeball. "Buizel, I choose you!"
The pokeball opened causing Buizel to come out.
"Leave it the kiddies to wanna fight!"Meowth cackled.
"Battle all you want, we won't bite!"James taunted.
"Instead, we'll use Poison Tail!"Jessie stated. "Seviper, get them!"
Seviper was about to attack Buizel with Poison Tail.
"I don't think so!"Denise shouted with a glare and took out a pokeball. "Luxio use Wild Charge!"
Denise threw her pokeball and Luxio appeared from it.
"Luxio!"
Luxio blocked Seviper's attack with Wild Charge and pushed it back towards Team Rocket.
"Don't let that Twerpette push you around!"Jessie snapped with a glare. "Poison Tail, again!"
Seviper struck Luxio with Poison Tail which sent the Spark Pokemon skidding back to the others.
"Luxio!"Denise shouted worriedly.
"Luxio."Luxio growled slowly and managed to get back up.
"You've got to stay strong!"Denise encouraged. "Now use Night Slash!"
Luxio slashed Seviper with his Dark Type move.
"Alright, Luxio!"Ash cheered.
"Nice hit!"Zoey complemented.
"Now, let's get them again with Spark!"Denise instructed.
"Luxio!"Luxio responded.
Just then, Luxio started to glow brightly, surprising everyone.
"What's going on?!"Lucas said.
"Hey, is that what I think it is?!"Dawn asked in awe.
When the light faded, a new pokemon stood in Luxio's place.
"Luxray!"
"Wow, Luxio evolved into Luxray!"Brock remarked.
"Awesome!"Ash said in amazement.
"Now that's something you don't see everyday!"Candice admitted.
"Luxi-! I mean Luxray!"Denise quickly corrected. "You look stronger!"
"Luxray."Luxray replied with a smirk.
Luxray gives Team Rocket a glare causing the evil trio to get nervous.
"Alright Luxray, give them a taste of your new power!"Denise ordered.
Luxray generated a ball of blue electricity above him before firing it at Team Rocket.
"Hey! That's Shock Wave!"Zoey exclaimed.
"Amazing!"Dawn complemented.
Team Rocket looked a bit fried from being hit by Luxray's Shock Wave.
"I think it's time to make a hasty retreat!"James said nervously.
"Let's skidaddle while we've still got the pokeballs!"Meowth added.
"Right! Seviper use Haze!"Jessie ordered.
Seviper got back up and blocked Team Rockets view from the heroes with Haze.
"Abomasnow, Blizzard!"Candice ordered.
Abomasnow used Blizzard to fade away the Haze and cover Team Rocket in snow.
"Alright, Buizel use Aqua Jet now!"Ash ordered.
Buizel leapt up and activated Aqua Jet causing his water attack to turn into ice.
"Look at that!"Jeremiah responded in surprise.
"An ice Aqua Jet?!"Lucas stated.
"I can't believe it!"Candice gasped.
Abomasnow and Riolu were surprised at the sight.
"Wow, they're using Ice Aqua Jet!"Dawn remarked.
"Prinplup!"Prinplup cheered.
"That's tremendous!"Mr Honcho said.
"They really perfected that move!"Zoey commented.
"You said it!"Denise chuckled.
"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted happily.
All the students watched the sight in amazement.
Buizel's Ice Aqua Jet hits Carnivine causing Jeremiah to quickly catch Skuntank.
"Skuntank, are you okay?"Jeremiah asked.
"Skuntank."Skuntank replied with a small smile.
"Glameow, Shadow Claw!"Zoey ordered.
"Riolu use Force Palm!"Lucas ordered.
Glameow and Riolu attack Team Rocket with Shadow Claw and Force Palm, sending the evil trio blasting off.
All the pokeballs were sent up into the air.
"Oh no!"Jeremiah shouted. "The pokeballs!"
"Dawn..."Denise started.
"You bet!"Dawn replied. "Prinplup, Whirlpool!"
Prinplup jumped forward and used Whirlpool to quickly catch the pokeballs.
"Every single one!"Candice said in relief.
"So what is the reason for this catch?"James asked.
"Twerps always the twerps!"Jessie complained. "If only we stayed inside that class!"
"Hey! I know what to do next time!"Meowth declared. "I'll remember it's cool for Meowth to talk!"
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"Team Rocket screamed and disappeared in the sky.
Ash and Denise thanked Buizel and Luxray.
"Buizel, awesome job."Ash remarked as he stroked Buizel's head.
"Pikachu."Pikachu agreed.
"Bui bu."Buizel answered.
"You were amazing, Luxray."Denise chuckled as she stroked Luxray's mane. "You sure made them scare of you with that Shock Wave."
"Luxray."Luxray purred with a smirk.
Torchic smiled. "Torchic."
"Wow, those were some surprises."Candice stated. "Seeing Luxio's power after evolving and that ice aqua jet were completely awesome."
"Thanks, Candice."Ash thanked.
"That means a lot."Denise chuckled.
"Both Ash and Denise's strengths are surprises."Brock replied. "How will you deal with both of them?"
This caused Candice to smirk and wink in response.
"You'll find out in both Gym Battles."Candice answered and looked at Abomasnow. "Got your kiai on?"
"Abomasnow!"Abomasnow answered confidently.
"I owe you a big thanks for saving Skuntank and an apology for the rude things I said."Jeremiah apoligised. "After seeing your Aqua Jet, it made the quiz results seem like nothing. I'm going to put my kiai into it so that someday I can battle like you, Ash. Thanks to you and Denise, today's class was the best one I've ever had."
Candice looked at Ash and Denise.
"Now that our work is done for today, tomorrow one of you is having a Gym Battle and that person is..."Candice started and pointed at Denise. "It's you, Denise! So put your kiai into it!"
"Oh, I well."Denise assured confidently before looking at Luxray and Torchic. "We better get ready, you guys. Because tomorrow we're having our Gym Battle against Candice."
Torchic and Luxray smiled at the news.
"Torchic!"Torchic cheered.
"Luxray."Luxray replied firmly.
