Chapter 141: Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!
A Galactic Grunt was running in Fuego Ironworks and trying to get away from the group of Golbats that were following after him.
Golbat attack the grunt and he was revealed to be none other than Looker, who was discovered as a spy.
Looker hits the floor as Jupiter and her Skuntank stood in front of him.
"I see we have finally caught up to you, Looker."Jupiter stated with a smirk. "Show your face."
"The jig is up."Looker said.
Looker takes off his disguise and stood while frowning at Jupiter while the Golbats flew behind him.
"That coat is so out of style."Jupiter complemented.
"I think you should know for a lady, you're quite rude."Looker declared.
"I'll say this; your codename Looker is well deserved."Jupiter admitted. "You're my type."
"Well, unfortunately I am sorry to say you're not my type."Looker answered.
"Isn't that cute?"Jupiter sneered. "There are many things that I am dying to ask about you. For starters, precisely how much do you know about us?"
Skuntank's claws go sharper to use Slash and an explosion was made in Fuego Ironworks.
In the Floaroma Town's Pokemon Center…
Ash and his friends were watching television, learning that the next Pokémon Contest will be held in Daybreak Town, located on the east side of Mt Coronet and will follow the Double Performance format.
"For this year's Pokemon Contest there's a brand new schedule on task!"Marian announced."To the East of Mt Coronet is Daybreak City and the exciting Daybreak Contest! And the first time in quite a while, it will be a Double Performance!"
"A Double Performance?"Dawn remarked. "Wow!"
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
Brock took out his Pokegear to check the location of Daybreak Town.
"Say Daybreak Town is right on the way to Sunyshore City."Brock exclaimed.
"So that means we can watch you compete for your fifth ribbon, Dawn."Denise chuckled. "And you'll make it to the battle round for sure."
"You bet I am, Dennie!"Dawn agreed. "We're totally going to the Daybreak Contest!"
"Prinplup!"Prinplup cheered.
"So, you're going to give that Double Performance a shot?"Ash asked.
Pikachu smiled. "Pika."
"Right."Dawn replied. "The truth is I've been dying for a double performance for a long time. It's important since I didn't win before. You know what I mean?"
"You bet I do."Ash responded.
"You'll win this time for sure, sis."Denise chuckled.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"Thanks."Dawn said with a nod.
In Route 205...
The group then headed out of the Pokemon Center to continue their journey with Pikachu, Prinplup and Torchic happily leading the way.
The three pokemon stopped walking when something in the flowers caught their attention and revealed to be Team Rocket's Meowth.
"What's that?"Ash asked.
"A Meowth."Denise said.
"It looks beaten up."Dawn commented with a worried look.
Pikachu shook Meowth to wake him up and the Scratch Pokemon freaked out seeing his enemies.
"Yikes!"Meowth panicked. "It's the twerps!"
"It's Team Rocket's Meowth!"Ash replied in realisation.
"Great."Denise grumbled. "Just what we need."
"Watch your mouth, twerpette!"Meowth snapped and realised his companions were missing. "Where are Jessie and James?!"
Meowth suddenly felt weak and out of energy due to wounds he hand around his body.
"Meowth needs help."Brock stated as he picked the Normal type up. "We'll talk later."
The group went to a rock sitting area beneath the flowers and next to the bridge for Brock to use a Super Potion to heal Meowth's wounds.
"That spray kinda stings."Meowth complemented.
"Now I just need to put a wrapping on it."Brock instructed.
"What happened to you anyway?"Ash asked.
"It was those fashion freaks."Meowth answered while glaring at the river. "You see, we were tailing you twerps and doing that thing we do so well. And then as we were travelling in our empty tummies to the forest searching for food. We later saw a bunch of helicopters and followed them to a abandoned iron house."
"Based on what you've been describing, I'm attempting the building's exact location."Brock stated while checking on his Pokegear and then showed it to Meowth. "Is this what you saw? This is Fuego Ironworks. Apparently, it's been abandoned for quite some time."
"That's the place."Meowth agreed. "We figured we sneaked into you twerps' location and went to have a look see. But as soon as we went inside we saw the national police dude from the train station with the lunch boxes and he was in a heap of trouble."
"International police?"Dawn said in confusion.
"With the lunch boxes?"Ash added.
Denise's eyes widen when she realised the man that Meowth was talking about.
"Ah, he must be Looker!"Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock responded in unison.
"My thoughts exactly."Meowth exclaimed as Brock placed a wrap on his arm. "And then by brain really started sticking in before we decided to help the lunch box dude out. Team Galactic may be fierce, but they sure pack wallop, so we decided to give them a good fight though. Their filthy Skuntank got its paws on Jessie and James, but the explosion sent me to a solo blast off. When I came too, I was actually being rescued by you twerps."
"You've had quite a hard time."Brock responded.
Meowth went off the rock he sat to bow at the four heroes.
"Thanks for the save, twerps."Meowth thanked.
Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock became surprised when Meowth started walking away from them.
"Meowth, hold on."Ash instructed.
"Where are you going?"Dawn asked.
"Jessie and James are waiting for me out there."Meowth answered.
"You're going back to Team Galactic's base?"Denise questioned.
"You can get really hurt this time."Brock warned.
"Then we're going to Fuego Ironworks with you."Ash insisted.
"It's better if we help out."Denise suggested.
"Pika!"Pika remarked.
"Torchic!"Torchic tweeted.
"Right."Dawn agreed. "Let's go, Prinplup."
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"Let's make sure we are packed up and ready."Brock suggested.
"Right!"Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock said in unison.
Meowth suddenly activated his Fury Swipes with his unharmed hand to prevent the heroes from following.
"I appreciate you lumps patching me up, but you lumps and I are enemies! Dig it?"Meowth retorted with a glare. "I can't take charity from you!"
"Think of it like this."Dawn insisted. "We are helping Looker for us."
"Exactly."Denise agreed. "What gave you the idea that we would help you?"
"Yeah."Brock responded. "Looker really helped us out. Now is our turn to help him out."
"Eh?"Meowth said in confusion.
The four heroes and their pokemon began heading to Fuego Ironworks' location.
"Yeah."Ash answered. "Hurry up, Meowth. Take us to their base."
Tears of joy began to appear in Meowth's eyes.
"Man, those twerps..."Meowth sobbed and dried his tears away.
Over on Mt Coronet...
"Toxicroak use Rock Smash!"Saturn ordered.
Saturn's Toxicroak used Rock Smash to break down a part of the mountain, revealing a huge silvery spherical object.
The Spear Key reacts to the object, confirming to them that they've finally found the Gateway to the Spear Pillar with Cyrus watching from the comfort of HQ.
"Master Cyrus, we found it!"Saturn declared. "This is the Gateway to Spear Pillar!"
"Yes, very well."Cyrus replied. "Block out the area."
"Yes, sir."Saturn answered.
"We will not proceed there until all preparations have been made."Cyrus stated.
At Fuego Ironworks...
Jupiter and Charon soon learn that Spear Pillar has been found and receive new orders to deliver the Red Chain.
"So our search is finally over?"Jupiter said.
"We found the Gateway to Spear Pillar."Charon commented.
"But the real journey begins now."Jupiter responded with a smirk
A Team Galactic Grunt then informs Jupiter and Charon that an unidentified flying object had been detected near the Factory perimeter
"Jupiter! A flying object has been detected inside the perimeter."the Team Galactic Grunt reported.
"Flying object?"Jupiter questioned.
In the Sky...
Ash, Dawn, Denise, Brock, Pikachu, Prinplup, Torchic and Meowth began approaching Fuego Ironworks in Meowth's Balloon.
"Dig it, guys."Meowth warned. "Up ahead."
Suddenly, a bunch of Golbat flew up from the Fuego Ironworks, alarming the groups.
Ash looked at Pikachu.
"Pikachu, help us out."Ash ordered.
Pikachu nodded. "Pika."
Dawn took out a pokeball as Denise glanced at Torchic.
"Torchic, you're going to help out as well."Denise said.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted.
"Pachirisu, we need you too."Dawn declared.
Dawn's pokeball causing Pachirisu to come out and appear in her trainer's arms.
"Staraptor! Gliscor!"Ash shouted and threw out his two pokeballs. "I choose you!"
"Now Noctowl!"Denise called out and threw out a pokeball. "Come out too!"
Staraptor, Gliscor and Noctowl came out from their pokeballs before Pikachu, Pachirisu and Torchic went on their backs.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"Ash ordered.
"Pachirisu, Discharge!"Dawn ordered.
"Torchic use Ember!"Denise ordered.
Pikachu, Pachirisu and Torchic fired their attacks to defeat the Golbats before landing back on the backs of their flying type companions.
"Let's land over there!"Ash suggested.
The Team Rocket air balloon prepare to land on the Fuego Ironworks rooftop, only to be greeted by Jupiter and her Skuntank.
"We got company!"Denise retorted.
"Skuntank use Flamethrower!"Jupiter ordered.
Skuntank fired Flamethrower towards the group causing Prinplup to quickly use Bubble Beam to counter it, creating a small explosion.
Jupiter got distracted by the smoke as the group came out from the Team Rocket balloon.
Prinplup stood close to his human companions and Meowth while glaring at Saturn and her Skuntank.
"Move out of the way!"Ash demanded.
"You all seem so good at popping out of no where."Jupiter complemented. "Wanna join Team Galactic?"
Ash, Dawn, Denise, Brock and Meowth glared are Jupiter in disgust.
"Thanks but no thanks!"Denise snapped.
"That would be like ew!"Dawn scowled.
"What did you do to Jessie and James?"Meowth demanded.
"Also Looker!"Ash added.
Jupiter looked at Dawn, Denise, Ash and Brock.
"Mesprit."Jupiter spoke up. "Azelf, Uxie. Why did it have to be you?"
The group looked at Jupiter with confused expressions.
"I am talking about the Lake Trio, of course."Jupiter said with a glare. "Why did they have to choose you?"
Denise became lost at Jupiter's question as Ash and Dawn spoke to the foe in front of them.
"What do you mean chose us?"Ash asked.
"What's the lake trio?"Dawn questioned.
"You saw them."Jupiter stated. "The Legendary Pokemon spirits that say reside in those lakes."
"Alright, how did you know about that?"Brock demanded.
Meowth glanced at the four heroes.
"Can you twerps try to clue me here?"Meowth asked. "I am following blind."
"We know everything about all of it."Jupiter admitted. "The truth of the matter is we were the ones that were supposed to be synchronised with the lake trio."
"Know everything?"Denise thought and remembered the shadow pokemon that have been appearing in her dreams. "Also about that pokemon?"
Golbat use Air Cutter on Pikachu and Staraptor, but the Mouse Pokemon leapt up andcounters with Thunderbolt to take them down.
Torchic jumped off Noctowl's back to attack the coming Golbats with Fire Spin.
"Well, you got a big mouth!"Meowth shouted and activated Fury Swipes. "Where are Jessie and James?! Tell me!"
"Quick, Skuntank!"Saturn ordered. "Use Flamethrower!"
Skunktank fired Flamethrower towards the group.
"Prinplup use Bubble Beam!"Dawn ordered. "Let's go!"
Prinplup once again counters Skunktank's Flamethrower with Bubble Beam which caused a small explosion that sent everyone back.
The smoke cleared away as Gliscor, Pachirisu and Torchic land behind Jupiter and Skuntank while Pikachu, Staraptor and Noctowl land on the side.
Jupiter smirked and stood up from the ground.
"Surrounded you say?"Jupiter sneered and looked at Skuntank. "Skuntank use Toxic now."
Skuntank activated a Toxic, forcing everyone to cover their mouths from the hazardous fumes.
"It's Toxic!"Brock warned. "Don't breathe it in!"
With the group distracted, this allowed Jupiter and her Skuntank to escape in a helicopter.
"Flown from the coop!"Meowth retorted.
Pikachu prepares to take off with Staraptor to stop the helicopter causing Ash to glance at them.
"Hold on, Pikachu."Ash instructed. "We need to look for Team Rocket and Looker first."
"Pika."Pikachu said.
The heroes watch the helicopter fly away from Fuego Ironworks before returning Staraptor, Gliscor and Noctowl in their pokeballs and head inside the abandoned builder.
"Looker!"Ash shouted.
"Where are you?!"Brock demanded.
"Jessie! James!"Meowth shouted out. "Report!"
Inside the Helicopter...
"I don't get it."Jupiter said with a glare. "Why did the Lake Trio choose them in the first place?"
Charon moved his attention away from his laptop.
"Still jealous about those children I see?"Charon laughed lightly.
"Jealous?"Jupiter scoffed. "Not my style."
"Jealousy appears in human emotion, you know?"Charon exclaimed.
"Is the Red Chain safe or not?"Jupiter questioned.
"Don't worry."Charon assured. "It's located right below your feet."
Jupiter became surprised as she looked down to notice the trap door beneath her feet.
Back at Fuego Ironworks...
The group soon locate Looker, Jessie and James in their cell.
"It's Ash and friends!"Looker exclaimed.
"It's Looker!"Dawn commented.
"Are you okay?"Denise asked.
"Alright, do you two know where my peeps are?"Meowth questioned.
"They're right here with us."Looker responded.
Looker and Bill moved out of the way for Jessie and James to look at Meowth.
"Meowth, dear!"Jessie and James said in unison.
Jessie and James touched the door, only to get electrocuted by it and collapse on the ground.
Looker face palmed at the sight before looking at the three trainers.
"Alright, Ash, Dawn and Denise."Looker whispered. "Have Pikachu, Prinplup and Torchic launch an attack together so that you can break down this door."
"You got it!"Ash answered and looked at Pikachu. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
"Prinplup, Bubble Beam!"Dawn ordered.
"Torchic, Ember!"Denise ordered.
Prinplup, Pikachu and Torchic use Bubble Beam, Thunderbolt and Ember on the door to break it down.
Looker came out of the cell to thank the three trainers while Jessie and James hugged Meowth.
"You helped us out of a top spot."Looker commented. "Thank you, all three of you."
"No problem."Ash assured.
"It's what we do."Denise chuckled.
Meowth hugged his companions in joy.
"It's so good to see you, mugs!"Meowth remarked.
"We had faith in you!"Jessie admitted.
"So what is with the fashion freaks, Meowth?"James asked.
"Team Galactic took off to parts unknown."Meowth answered.
"Not for long!"Jessie declared.
Team Rocket stood up to look at the two men and the four heroes.
"Hasta la vista!"James remarked. "Ta da, twerps!"
"I owe you one, big time!"Meowth declared.
"It's been a blast!"Team Rocket admitted as they disappeared in the hallway.
Looker frowned. "So, Team Galactic escaped again?"
With his special glasses, Looker leads the group down an elevator shaft and to an altered manufacturing area.
"I would sure like to know what they were working out here."Looker stated.
Denise started to feel a bit uneasy as they headed down the elevator causing Torchic to glance at her quietly.
Once they were in the lower level of the abandoned Ironworks, Looker and the group notice two strange machines in front of them.
"What's all this?"Dawn asked.
"I don't recall these types of machines to ever be part of the Fuego Ironworks."Looker complemented. "This must be Team Galactic's doing."
Suddenly a gleaming shard, a piece of the Red Chain, attracts Looker's attention and he picked it with his gloved hand.
"Check it out."Ash said. "What do you think it is?"
"It looks like some kind of shard."Denise responded.
Afterwards…
At the Floaroma Police Station, Looker brought the small shard to have it investigated with the heroes accompanying him.
"That's it."the scientist said. "We're ready."
"Now we can transmit any data directly to the Headquarters."Officer Jenny admitted.
Looker and Bill smiled at the scientist.
"Thanks for your hard work."Looker remarked.
"So let's begin the analysis."the scientist insisted.
The scientist pressed the button on the machine to analyse the shard.
Everyone watched the machine examine the shard and transmits the data to International Police HQ.
Denise became alarmed when she saw the shard start to evaporate.
"Everyone duck!"Denise demanded in shock.
Within a few seconds, everyone ducked down at Dawn's warning as the shard glowed before destroying the device.
"What could've happened?"Officer Jenny asked.
Officer Jenny hears a small alarm call causing her to go answer it and a man appeared on the small screen.
"This is the Floaroma Police."Officer Jenny responded.
"The data you transmitted to the International Police Head Quarters has wiped out our entire database!"the man declared.
Everyone became shocked at the man's respond.
"Team Galactic's data?"Looker questioned.
"Apparently, it's been destroyed as well."the man added. "Retrieval uncertain."
Looker frowned. "That means it was all a trap."
"So that has to be why they left that red object behind."Officer Jenny suggested.
"Next time Team Galactic makes a move, I'll be able to stop them."Looker vowed with a firm look.
Ash, Brock, Dawn and Denise departed from the Police Station.
"About the Lake Pokemon."Dawn said. "What does it all mean?"
"Not sure."Ash answered. "What we all did was see them."
"I can't stop wondering how Team Galactic knew all about it."Brock stated.
A frown appeared on Denise's face.
"I have a feeling we'll find out really soon."Denise stated quietly.
"Torchic."Torchic tweeted worriedly.
Meanwhile...
Cyrus and Team Galactic were on their way to the Spear Pillar with the Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb and Red Chain in their possession.
"The creation of a new world begins."Cyrus declared while looking at the objects in front of him. "The Sphere Key, the Adamant Orb, the Lustrous Orb and the Red Chain. Now all that remains are the three lake pokemon."
"All preparation for the Galactic bomb are complete."Saturn reported.
"Excellent."Cyrus said.
Cyrus then contacts Pokémon Hunter J in the big screen with new orders to capture the Lake guardians.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Pokemon Hunter J."Cyrus replied. "Please proceed with the Lake Pokemon capture as planned."
