Author's Note: So sorry that this chapter took so long, fellow readers! I've been busy lately, but anyway I am back now! I'll make sure the next chapter more sooner! And...OH MY GOSH! Chapter 143: Into the Distortion World!
In Team Galactic's HQ...
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"Ash ordered. "Let's go!"
Pikachu launched forward and fire Thunderbolt towards the tanks behind Team Galactic.
"Prinplup use Bubble Beam!"Dawn ordered.
Prinplup fired Bubble Beam causing the water attack and Pikachu's Thunderbolt to destroy the tanks that held the three Lake Guardians causing Ash, Dawn and Brock to launch themself forward.
"Azelf! Mesprit! Uxie!"Ash, Dawn and Brock called out in unison.
"Purugly!"Mars shouted.
"Skuntank!"Jupiter spoke up.
"Iron Tail now!"Mars and Jupiter ordered.
Mars's Purugly and Jupiter's Skuntank push Ash, Dawn and Brock back with Iron Tail attacks.
Pikachu, Prinplup and Croagunk became distracted seeing their trainers attacked.
"Sludge Bomb, go!"Saturn ordered.
Toxicroak attacked Pikachu, Prinplup and Croagunk with Sludge Bomb, knocking them down.
"Prinplup, are you alright?"Dawn asked.
"Prinplup."Prinplup whimpered.
"Croagunk, take a rest."Brock instructed and brought Croagunk back inside his pokeball. "Don't push yourself."
Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie's eyes glowed red as they floated above Cyrus.
"What's wrong with them?"Ash questioned.
"Mesprit, don't you recognize us?"Dawn asked.
"We have the red chain, which now possess the powers of the original one."Cyrus exclaimed. "So, as you can see, they are now under my complete control."
Cyrus shows the red chain on his left hand that matched the ones in Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie's foreheads.
"Original?"Ash said.
"Powers?"Dawn finished.
The red chain in Cyrus' glove started glowing causing the three trainers to gasp while Charon cackled evilly.
"According to legend, these powers are as responsible for reshaping our entire world, which means that no Pokemon is able to withstand them."Charon admitted.
"It is with these original powers that we'll create a new world order."Cyrus declared.
"You're out of your mind!"Ash argued.
"You can't do that!"Dawn snapped.
Cyrus began to walk away with the three Lake Guardians following him from behind.
"Make sure you take care of these children."Cyrus ordered.
"Sir."Saturn answered.
"Come back!"Ash demanded.
Ash, Brock and Dawn tried to follow after Cyrus, but their escape route was blocked by the Team Galactic grunts.
Meanwhile...
Cynthia was driving to Mt. Coronet with Denise and her Torchic accompanying her.
Denise had a nervous expression as she held Torchic in her arms.
"Cynthia."Denise spoke up. "Were my sister and friends disappeared because the Lake Trio summoned them?"
"Mostly likely, yes."Cynthia answered. "But we must hurry, if we are going to stop Team Galactic."
Ash, Dawn and Brock were imprisoned as Team Galactic goes to Mt. Coronet as they plan to use them should the Lake Trio get out of control.
"What's going to happen to us now?"Dawn asked.
"Cyrus is using us as hostages, so Uxie and the others will do what he tells them to."Brock answered. "We're part of his backup plan, in case they break free from his control."
"We've gotta get out of here."Ash stated. "Those pokemon came to see us in our dreams.
"And they did it they were asking us for our help so we can't let them down."Dawn said and looked down. "I hope Denise and Cynthia are okay."
"I am sure they are, Dawn."Ash assured.
"Yeah, they're fine and will stop Team Galactic's plans."Brock added.
Suddenly the door of the prison opened as Looker and Team Rocket were thrown inside by Jupiter.
"Look!"Ash gasped. "It's Team Rocket!"
"And Looker is with them!"Dawn added.
Looker gasped seeing the three trainers.
"They've gotten you too!"Looker exclaimed.
"Why are you here with them?"Looker questioned.
Jupiter simply smirked and closed the prison door.
"Wait!"Ash demanded. "Open the door!"
Jupiter glanced at a Team Galactic Grunt next to the door.
"Make sure to keep an eye on them."Jupiter ordered.
"Sir!"the Team Galactic Grunt saluted.
Outside the Gate...
Cyrus, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, Charon and the brainwashed Lake Guardians stood before the closed gate.
"The spear key."Cyrus ordered.
"Sir."Mars answered.
Mars placed down a case to reveal the Spear Key inside and used it to unlock the gate to the Spear Pillar.
The Spear Key floated up above their heads before being absorbed into the gate and changing form.
After the Spear Key vanished, Cyrus walked forward and opened the gate with his Red Chain-embedded glove, revealing the pathway that lightened up and would lead to the Spear Pillar.
"That means the Spear Pillar must be above that passageway."Charon remarked.
"Exactly like it was written in ancient times."Cyrus declared.
Cyrus and his companions started heading up the pillar while Saturn and his Toxicroak stood where they were.
Suddenly, a Flamethrower was shot forward causing Saturn and his Toxicroak to quickly move out the way.
The Flamethrower revealed to be from an Infernape that blocked the path to the gate as Lucas landed down with his Togekiss.
Lucas rose his head up to glare at Saturn and the other goons.
"You!"Saturn scowled. "You're that boy from Twinleaf Town!"
"That's right."Lucas agreed with a frown. "And I've come to stop you."
Saturn glanced at Toxicroak.
"Toxicroak use Sludge Bomb!"Saturn ordered.
Toxicroak fired Sludge Bomb towards Lucas and his pokemon.
"Infernape dodge it and attack with Thunder Punch!"Lucas ordered. "And Togekiss use Aerial Slash!"
Infernape dodged the poison attack and attacked the Toxic Mouth Pokemon with Thunder Punch before Togekiss knocked him out with Aerial Slash.
Saturn gritted his teeth, seeing his strongest Pokémon defeated.
"Now tell me where my friends are."Lucas demanded.
Afterwards...
Lucas opened the prison door of the room where his friends along with Looker and Team Rocket were.
"Lucas!"Dawn remarked.
"You're here too?"Ash asked.
"Hey, guys."Lucas chuckled. "Glad I made it in time."
Lucas set Ash, Dawn, Brock, Looker and Team Rocket free before locking up Saturn and the Team Galactic Grunts.
"Don't feel all fashionable now do you?"James taunted.
"There's nothing like a little payback time to suit the savage ego."Jessie added.
"It's too late anyway."Saturn declared smugly. "The world is about to end."
"We'll see about that!"Ash snapped. "You guys are through! Forget it!"
"The Legendary Pokemon don't want to do anything with you ever!"Dawn scowled.
At the Spear Pillar...
Cyrus, Charon, Mars and Jupiter made it above the pillar with the controlled Lake Trio following.
"Ah! So this is the Spear Pillar, eh?"Charon remarked. "In perfect shape after all these years."
Denise and Cynthia were running up the stairs in the dark cave of Mt. Coronet in order to make it above the Spear Pillar.
At the Spear Pillar...
Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf flew forward and placed themselves into the pillars while Jupiter placed the Lustrous Orb and Mars placed the Adamant Orb in place.
Cyrus' eyes glowed red for a moment before raising his hands up.
"Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie, hear me now!"Cyrus declared. "Transfer your ancient powers to the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs! and using the Infinite original powers! Connect Time and Space!"
The three lake legendary Pokemon glowed red before releasing their pink, yellow and blue energy to the two orbs.
"Now."Cyrus stated.
"Fire!"Charon ordered.
Two Team Galactic Grunts used a small machine to fire two bolts of Red Chain energy are shot from a cannon around the formations of two dimensional energy portals.
One portal was blue and the other one was pink.
Dark clouds began to storm over the mountain as Looker and Team Rocket stood outside the helicopter watching the sight.
"Those aren't a friendly skies."Jessie stated.
"Not a silver lighting in sight."James added.
In Sandgem Town...
Gary, Professor Rowan and two scientists stare at the dark atmosphere appearing in Mt. Coronet.
"An immense energy level has been detected covering all of Mount Coronet, Energy output rising!"A female scientist declared.
Gary looked at Professor Rowan.
"Professor, is that what I think it is?"Gary asked.
Professor Rowan didn't respond and continued staring at the chaos in the area on screen.
At Spear Pillar...
Charon smiled at the results in his laptop.
"Fascinating, quite an impressive level of energy."Charon declared.
"Come forth!"Cyrus ordered. "Dialga and Palkia!"
Dialga and Palkia appeared from the two portals and were captured by the Red Chain that transformed into a shape that looks like the rings around Arceus.
Jupiter and Mars smiled seeing the two legendary Pokémon appear in the sky.
"Everything is ready for a creation of a new world."Cyrus declared. "Now everything will end and there will be a new beginning."
Dialga and Palkia struggled to set themselves free from the red chain.
"Dialga! The Master of Time! Palkia! The Master of Space and Dimensions!"Cyrus called out. "Give me your power! Create a new galaxy! A new world!"
As the red chains tightened around Dialga and Palkia, the two legendary Pokémon began to glow and sent strong wind waves that made the pillar and the ground crack a bit, startling Mars' Purugly and Jupiter's Skuntank.
"This world is ending."Mars commented.
"You've done it, Master Cyrus."Jupiter stated. "You're in the break of creating a brand new world."
Out of no where, a Shock Wave was shot forward to destroy the Red Chain Cannon that made the Team Galactic grunts move out of the way while a Giga Impact knocked away Purugly and Skuntank.
The two attacks revealed to be from Denise's Luxray and Cynthia's Garchomp.
"Stop this at once, Team Galactic!"Cynthia demanded.
Denise and Cynthia arrived at Spear Pillar as Cyrus glanced at them.
"The champion!"Jupiter retorted.
Mars glared at Denise.
"So, you came all the way here as well."Mars scowled.
Denise glared at Cyrus.
"You've gone too enough!"Denise snapped. "Now stop what you're doing!"
"You are wrong, child."Cyrus replied. "My dream has only just begun."
Luxray glared and growled angrily at Cyrus, showing a bit of his sharp teeth.
"Not gonna happen, Cyrus!"Ash's voice shouted out.
Ash, Dawn, Brock and Lucas arrived behind Denise and Cynthia.
Lucas was surprised to see the Champion with Denise, but let his excitement disappear since it wasn't the time.
"Here's our chance to save the lake guardians!"Lucas informed.
"Right!"Ash, Dawn and Brock said in unison.
Prinplup fired Bubblebeam breaking the Red gem on Mesprit's head, Pikachu uses thunderbolt breaking the Red gem on Azelf's Head and Croagunk uses Brick Break on the red gem Shattering it on Uxie's head.
Ash caught Azelf in his arms while Dawn and Brock caught Mesprit and Uxie.
"Azelf, it's me!"Ash said. "Are you okay?"
"I've got you!"Dawn assured. "Mesprit, it's me!"
"I'm coming!"Brock replied and held Uxie. "Uxie is Brock."
"Looks like they're okay."Lucas remarked.
"Thank goodness."Denise sighed in relief.
"All of you just don't know when to quit."Charon scoffed.
Cynthia glared at Cyrus.
"You better release Dialga and Palkia immediately!"Cynthia demanded. "You no longer have the power to control them!"
"I wouldn't be so sure."Cyrus declared.
Cyrus' red chain his glove glowed as Dialga and Palkia roared in pain.
Denise suddenly felt a huge headache causing her to wince at the pain as she felt uneasy.
It felt like something was out of place.
Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie suddenly floated up and went above Dialga and Palkia to help them with their powers.
"It takes the three of them, the three lake Pokémon that symbolises spirit, to balance either the Pokémon of time or space. But they can't maintain the balance against the two. Not when both Dialga and Palkia are here. Their coming here is in vain. So much meaningless drama."Cyrus declared and looked at the group. "Now, all of you have constantly interfered with my plans, but you will be forgiven. After all, there will remain no spirit for all time when I am done. All spirit will disappear. It will be ripped away from you! From your Pokémon! From those precious to you! It is time! My dream will be a reality!"
Ash and Lucas glared at Cyrus in pure anger while Denise clenched her fist to lower her rage.
But then spots of inky black start to cover the ground, growing larger and larger, creating vibrations until everything instantly comes to a stop.
"What the heck's going on?!"Ash questioned.
"Where's all that strange ink coming from?"Dawn asked fearfully.
"I don't know!"Brock replied.
"Is it an earthquake?"Lucas questioned.
Everyone watched while waiting intensely, but Cyrus smirked for a moment before watching a dark huge figure emerge from the mass.
It had glowing red eyes and let out a roar as it spread its two large black ghostly wings that had three red tips on each which resembled claws and let out a roar.
The black inky was Giratina in its Altered Form rising from the portal.
Everyone stared at the new pokemon in shock.
"The Pokémon that comes from shadows!"Cyrus responded. "So you did come to interfere!"
Cyrus had Dialga and Palkia attack Giratina with Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, respectively.
Easily dodging the attacks, Giratina then used Dragon Claw to destroy the Red Chains, allowing Dialga and Palkia to escape.
Giratina then grabbed Cyrus, warping him into the Distortion World and leaving behind the tunnel between the worlds.
This caused everyone to block their eyes from the heavy wind before it suddenly stopped.
Jupiter and Mars began to panic not seeing Cyrus around anymore.
"CYRUS, SIR!"Mars cried in despair.
"NO!"Saturn yelled out.
Ash, Brock, Dawn, Denise, Cynthia and Lucas walked towards the portal and stared at it in awe.
"Check it out."Ash said quietly.
"Pika."Pikachu whispered.
"Where does that portal lead to?"Dawn asked.
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
Denise's eyes widened in realisation when she remembered the ancient writing she found in Mt. Coronet.
"It's...the Distortion World!"Denise gasped.
"The Distortion World?"Brock repeated.
"Denise is right."Cynthia agreed, looking at the portal. "I finally found the answer from studying the myths. When this world was made, Dialga and Palkia appeared. Apparently, there was one more Pokemon that appeared at the same time. A Pokémon with as much power as Dialga and Palkia, but also one whose name was never to be spoken. Giratina. It's said to lurk in another world. A world on the opposite side of ours."
"So that shadow thing we saw was actually Giratina?"Lucas questioned with a hint of shock.
Cynthia nodded. "Yes."
Everyone became alarmed when they notice the pillars were slowly distorting.
"It's because of that portal. It's joined us to the other world."Cynthia stated. "If it's not closed, the distortion will spread to Sinnoh and beyond. Our world will be destroyed."
Denise returned Luxray in his Poké Ball before looking at the Champion of Sinnoh.
"Cynthia, I'll come with you."Denise admitted. "We need to chase after Cyrus."
"You two are going after Giratina?!"Ash questioned.
"But that's crazy!"Brock exclaimed.
"Who knows what'll happen to you guys in that place!"Lucas said worriedly.
"You might not even make it back!"Dawn added.
Denise smiled at Dawn and held her hand.
"Don't worry, Dawn."Denise assured. "We'll make it back. If this portal remains open, our world will be destroyed just like Cynthia said. Trust me. Everything will turn alright."
Dawn wasn't sure about Denise going to a portal to another world, but accepted it.
"Fine, but please be careful."Dawn instructed.
"Stay safe, Dennie."Lucas said with a supportive smile.
"And make sure to do your best."Brock added.
"We trust you."Ash assured.
Pikachu and Prinplup gave small replies, wishing Denise good luck.
Denise nodded at her twin sister and friends before looking at Cynthia.
"We have to hurry."Cynthia stated. "Let's go."
Denise and Cynthia walked into the portal and disappeared from sight.
In the Distortion World…
Cynthia and Denise came out from the portal and arrived to the other world.
Denise's eyes widen as she stared at the dark place in front of them.
There were platforms floating at many different angles and the world's rust-coloured landmass was separated into tiny islands.
Trees were spiky and incredibly tall, much like giant kelp and beneath the floating land, there was a spinning whirlpool of spatial clouds.
"This place can you feel it?"Cynthia asked. "There are no pokemon here at all. Time isn't flowing. And space isn't stable. A world where the rules are broken. A space one might call the Distortion World. Let's find Giratina. We need it to stop the spreading distortion at the Spear Pillar..."
Suddenly, a dark figure flew above and past the duo, alarming them.
"That was Giratina. We have to hurry."Cynthia warned. "If something's not done, the distortion will swallow not only our world, it will overwhelm the Distortion World."
Denise nodded. "Right."
Cynthia and Denise started walking around the alternate dimension to find Giratina.
As they walked and carefully jumped one platform to another, Denise became lost in her thoughts.
"The legend told of a world on the other side of ours. This world. Why does this world exist? Why is Giratina here all alone?"Denise thought with a frown."Is this the kind of world that Cyrus wanted to create?"
Denise went out of her thoughts when Cynthia spoke up.
"This is it."Cynthia said."Giratina is up ahead."
Cynthia and Denise walked up ahead to the destination, only for them to come face to face with Cyrus.
"So you were already here."Cynthia responded in a calm tone. "Why do you seek to change the world? If you hate our world, you should just go off somewhere alone. Find somewhere where you can live without seeing others."
"Why should I run and hide from the world and have to wait quietly?"Cyrus scowled."My aim is to rid our world of the vague and incomplete thing we call spirit. By freeing ourselves of that, our world can be made complete. That is my justice! No one can interfere!"
Denise's glare hardened and took a steps forward.
"That's what you think."Denise replied.
"I won't lose!"Cyrus vowed with a hint of rage."Not to that shadowy Pokémon! Not in any worthless world!"
Both Denise and Cyrus each took out a Poké Ball as they prepared to battle each other.
"Honchkrow!"Cyrus shouted while holding his Poké Ball. "Come out and assist me!"
Cyrus threw out his Poké Ball causing Honchkrow to appear in the battlefield.
"Honchkrow!"
"Noctowl, I need you!"Denise called out.
Denise's Poké Ball opened and Noctowl appeared to battle Honchkrow.
"Noctowl!"
"Honchkrow use Night Slash!"Cyrus ordered.
Honchkrow's left wing glowed purple and the Big Boss Pokémon flew towards Noctowl to attack him.
"Dodge it, Noctowl!"Denise ordered. "And then use Heat Wave!"
Noctowl avoided Honchkrow's attack before blasting it with Heat Wave, causing a lot of damage.
"You won't defeat me that way, child!"Cyrus scowled. "Psychic, now!"
Honchckow quickly recovered and made Noctowl crash into the ground with Psychic.
"Noctowl, are you okay?!"Denise asked worriedly.
Noctowl stood up and shook his head before nodding towards his Trainer.
"Good!"Denise remarked. "Now, use Aerial Ace!"
"Honchkrow, Sky Attack!"Cyrus ordered.
Both Noctowl's and Honchkrow flew around the Distortion World and attacked each other with their moves multiple times.
Honchkrow then managed to flew above Noctowl and flew straight towards him.
"Noctowl, above you!"Denise called out. "Use Supersonic!"
Noctowl quickly faced towards Honchkrow and used Supersonic to immobilise the Big Boss Pokémon causing his attack to be cancelled out.
"What?!"Cyrus asked in shock.
"Now finish it up with Heat Wave!"Denise ordered.
Noctowl flew above Noctowl and landed a critical hit on Honchkrow with his fire type move, causing it to crash down to the floating battlefield.
Honchkrow tried to get back up, but unfortunately fainted.
"Yes!"Denise chuckled."Great job, Noctowl!"
"Noctowl!"Noctowl replied with a smile.
Cyrus returned Honchkrow to his Poké Ball and simply chuckled, much to Denise's confusion.
"You may have defeated one of my Pokémon, but that's as far as you will get."Cyrus declared.
The Boss of Team Galactic brought out a second pokeball and threw it at the battlefield, realising his second Pokémon from it.
"Weavile!"
"A Weavile."Denise whispered before bringing out Noctowl's Poké Ball. "Thank you, Noctowl. You can take a long rest now."
Denise then returned Noctowl to his Poké Ball before bringing out another one.
"Vaporeon, you're up next!"Denise admitted and tossed her Poké Ball out.
The Poké Ball opened causing Vaporeon to appear in the battlefield.
"Vaporeon!"
"Alright!"Denise shouted. "Vaporeon, use Hydro Pump!"
"Weavile, Fake Out!"Cyrus ordered.
Vaporeon was about to use Hydro Pump, but Weavile made her flinch with Fake Out and sent her flying back.
"No way!"Denise gasped in disbelief.
Vaporeon stood back up and saw Weavile taunting her mockingly, which made her growl in anger.
"Is that really the best you can do, girl?"Cyrus asked with a smirk.
"Of course not!"Denise scowled with a glare. "Vaporeon use Shadow Ball!"
Vaporeon launched Shadow Ball at Weavile.
"Counter it with Ice Punch!"Cyrus ordered.
Weavile punched the Shadow Ball into pieces with it's ice type move.
"Now Brick Break!"Cyrus demanded.
The Sharp Claw Pokémon charged at Vaporeon with his right claw glowing.
"Dodge it!"Denise ordered.
Vaporeon gracefully jumped out of the way of Weavile's attack.
"Those adorable moves won't help you!"Cyrus replied with a hard glare. "Ice Punch repeatedly!"
Weavile continuously attacked Vaporeon with Ice Punch, who avoided all of them in a dancing manner.
But then, Weavile managed to anticipate the Bubble Jet Pokémon's movement and landed a hit to her chest, much to Denise's shock.
As Vaporeon skidded across the ground, her entire body became encased in ice until only her head was sticking out.
"Oh no!"Denise said in fear."Get out of there, Vaporeon!"
Vaporeon struggled desperately to escape the ice that was trapped in her body.
"Worthless. I'll just end this for you now."Cyrus said, smiling evilly. "Use X-Scissor, now!"
Weavile charged forward, preparing to use X Scissor.
"Vaporeon!"Denise cried out.
Vaporeon opened her eyes launched and launched a Shadow Ball at Weavile and blasted him back before the Sharp Claw Pokémon could attack with X Scissor.
"You recovered!"Denise remarked.
"Vapor."Vaporeon said sweetly.
Weavile crashed onto the platform and weakly stood back up.
"What?!"Cyrus growled in annoyance at the sight.
"Alright, now use Hydro Pump!"Denise ordered.
Vaporeon jumped upwards and launched Hydro Pump at Weavile, who had no time to react and was struck by the powerful water type, creating a dust cloud.
As the dust cleared away, Weavile was laying down on the ground and had swirls on his eyes.
"Yes. That's two wins for us."Denise chuckled in amusement.
"Vaporeon."the Bubble Jet Pokemon said with a soft smile.
Denise returned Vaporeon in her pokeball as Cyrus returned his Weavile back in his pokeball as well.
"Houndoom, come out!"Cyrus ordered.
Cyrus threw out his third Poké Ball, revealing a Houndoom inside.
"Houndoom!"
"Luxray, it's your turn!"Denise declared.
Denise's Poké Ball opened and Luxray appeared in the battlefield.
"Use Ice Fang!"Denise ordered.
"Use Thunder Fang!"Cyrus ordered.
Both Luxray and Houndoom used their fang attacks and clashed with each other until they both got blasted back.
"Now, use Wild Charge!"Denise ordered.
Luxray growled and charged at Houndoom with Wild Charge.
"Dodge it and use Will-O-Wisp!"Cyrus ordered.
Houndoom avoided the attack before launching ghostly flames at Luxray.
"Luxray use Shock Wave as a shield to block them!"Denise ordered.
Luxray then used the blue electricity from Shock Wave to create a shield, preventing Houndoom's Will-O-Wisp from damaging him.
"Quite impressive."Cyrus whispered. "Houndoom, Flamethrower now!"
Houndoom unleashed a powerful Flamethrower from his mouth that burned through Luxray's shield and damaged the electric type.
"Alright then, use Night Slash!"Denise ordered.
Luxray slashed Houndoom in the face with his dark type move.
"Dark Pulse!"Cyrus ordered.
Houndoom prepared to use Dark Pulse on Luxray.
"Use Wild Charge, quick!"Denise ordered.
Luxray coated himself in powerful electricity and ran towards Houndoom, who had finished charging up Dark Pulse and fired it.
But then, Luxray skidded over to the right and just managed to avoid the dark type attack, much to Cyrus and Houndoom's shock.
"Great speed, Luxray!"Denise complemented.
The Gleam Eyes Pokémon then tackled Houndoom with it's electric coated body and sent him into the air.
"Now end it with Shock Wave!"Denise ordered.
Blue electricity was fired from Luxray's back and it electrocuted Houndoom before it could make a counter attack.
When the electric attack stopped, Houndoom crashed onto the ground and fainted causing Cyrus to become more stunned.
"It would be wise to give up if I were you."Denise insisted.
Luxray smirked. "Luxray."
"I admit that you have pushed me to this extreme."Cyrus scoffed and threw out his last pokeball. "Gyarados, your turn!"
Cyrus' threw his Poké Ball out, revealing his fourth and last Pokémon.
"I'll stick with Luxray."Denise declared. "Luxray use Wild Charge!"
Luxray runs towards Gyarados as his body then becomes surrounded by yellow electricity.
"Dodge it, Gyarados!"Cyrus ordered.
Gyarados moved out to dodge Luxray's electric attack.
"Use Waterfall!"Cyrus ordered.
Gyarados' eyes glowed light blue and a column of water rises from where he stood and swims up the column in a fast spiralling motion, hitting Luxray in the process.
"Luxray, counter Gyarados back with Shock Wave!"Denise ordered.
Luxray releases yellow lightning bolts from his body into the air.
The lightning bolts meet in the air and form into a light blue ball of electricity before it fires a light blue beam of electricity at Gyarados from it.
The Atrocious Pokemon roared in pain of being hit by the attack.
"Gyarados, use Giga Impact!"Cyrus ordered.
Gyarados went up and surrounded himself in orange energy before it changed to purple and flew towards Luxray in great speed.
"Dodge it quickly, Luxray!"Denise ordered.
Luxray dodged Gyarados' Giga Impact, but narrowly avoided it.
"Gyarados, use Earthquake now!"Cyrus ordered.
The Water/Flying type pokemon jumped into the air and lands hard on the ground, making the battlefield shake, sending Luxray flying.
"Luxray!"Denise shouted in shock.
"Finish it off with Ice Fang!"Cyrus ordered.
"Luxray use Wild Charge again!"Denise ordered.
Luxray and Gyarados activated their attacks before bashing into each other creating a strong wind of smoke.
Denise and Cynthia covered their eyes while Cyrus simply looked at the sight.
However, when the smoke cleared it revealed Luxray fainted and Gyarados was the one left standing.
Cyrus smirked as Denise returned Luxray back in his pokeball.
"Luxray, you did well. Don't worry. I won't give up."Denise vowed before taking out her fourth Pokémon."Gardevoir, come on out!"
Denise threw her Poké Ball forward and Gardevoir appeared in the battlefield.
"Gardevoir."
The Twinleaf girl notice Gyarados just standing due to using Giga Impact, she quickly ordered her Psychic Pokémon to attack.
"Gardevoir use Ice Punch!"Denise ordered.
Gardevoir launched forward attacked Gyarados with Ice Punch.
"Gyarados use Earthquake!"Cyrus ordered.
"Gardevoir, spin and use Trick Room!"Denise ordered.
Gyarados made the battlefield shook again as Gardevoir gracefully did a spin to dodge the Ground type attack.
"How did?!"Cyrus said in disbelief.
"Gardevoir hit Gyarados with Magical Leaf!"Denise ordered.
Gardevoir hits the Atrocious Pokémon with Magical Leaf causing it to take some damage.
"Use Ice Fang!"Cyrus ordered.
The Water/Flying type Pokémon's fangs became icy and attempted to hit the Embrace Pokémon with it.
"Gardevoir use Psychic!"Denise ordered.
Gardevoir's red eyes glowed blue before she started controlling Gyarados and makes himself slam hard on the ground.
"Hit Gyarados once more with Ice Fang!"Denise ordered.
Gardevoir hits Gyarados' body hard with Ice Fang, sending him crashing and faint on the ground, shocking Cyrus.
With Gyarados defeated, this made Denise the winner of the battle.
"Gardevoir, we did it."Denise thanked with a smile. "Thank you."
Gardevoir nodded. "Gardevoir."
Denise returned Gardevoir in her Poké Ball.
Then Cynthia went next to Denise.
Cyrus returned Gyarados in his Poké Ball as he glared at Denise and Cynthia.
"I won't accept this!"Cyrus argued."This can't be! Not after all the sacrifices we've made to get this far! What of my world?! Of my new galaxy?! Was this all a dream to be swept away by your reality?!"
Denise narrowed her eyes as Cyrus walked up to her.
"Don't think you can defeat or capture the shadow Pokémon."Cyrus scowled with a cruel smirk. "This bizarre world is none other than that Pokémon itself! Capturing it or defeating it will make this world disappear! Very well! Rather than repairing the world, you're going to destroy it for me! Do it. You inherit my legacy."
Cyrus walked past Denise and went out of sight before Cynthia spoke to her.
"Don't believe his lies."Cynthia replied. "It's not possible that a Pokémon can make the world disappear. The world awaited your birth. Not only yours, either. The Pokémon with you. The people close to you. All the Pokémon and people were born because they have a part in the world. I'm convinced of that. Giratina won't go out of existence. This Distortion World won't disappear. Our world won't disappear, either. Let's go meet Giratina."
"Okay, Cynthia."Denise answered with a nod.
Denise slowly headed to the path in front of her as a dark shadow flew past the ground below her.
She stopped for a moment to glance at Cynthia.
"Giratina is enraged because the two worlds are endangered."Cynthia exclaimed. "It has merged the Distortion World and our world at the Spear Pillar. That's why both worlds are becoming distorted. But there's nothing to fear. You can defeat Giratina and show the tight bond you share with your Pokémon. If you succeed in doing either, Giratina will understand. The distortion of the two worlds will stop! I know that the bond you share with your Pokémon is strong!"
Denise takes in Cynthia's words as she took a few more steps in the platform before stopping.
The Twinleaf girl arrived to a platform that was bigger as a roar was heard nearby.
"I am not afraid."Denise thought with a firm tone.
In other side, a big figure with a serpentine look landed down gently.
The shadowy figure's legs were reduced to golden-tipped spikes and four additional golden spikes appear near the edge of its tail. While in Origin Forme, the six gold half-rings can grip objects. The back points of each half-ring have a black ghostly tendril with red a spike at its tip and the horns on its head were now facing the back. The sides of the golden 'crown' covered its mouth and separate vertically like an insect's mandible when it opens its mouth. The black vertical stripe was broken into pieces and runs all the way down its body.
It was Giratina in its Origin Forme.
Denise felt Giratina's glowing red eyes watching her quietly before it let out a roar.
But she wasn't showing any sign of being scared.
"Alright! Torterra! Vaporeon! Torchic!"Denise called out and took out three Poké Balls. "It's time to fight!"
Denise threw out her Poké Balls causing her evolved starter Pokémon and the other two to appear.
"Torterra!"
"Vaporeon!"
"Torchic!"
"Torterra use Seed Bomb!"Denise ordered."Vaporeon, Shadow Ball and Torchic use Ember!"
Torterra unleashed Seed Bomb, Vaporeon used Shadow Ball and Torchic blasted Ember towards the Renegade Pokémon.
Giratina took the attacks, but none of them effected him that much.
The Dragon/Ghost type Pokémon unleashed Ominous Wind causing Denise and her three Pokémon to be sent back a bit.
"We are not defeated yet!"Denise shouted."Torterra use Giga Drain!"
Torterra unleashed Giga Drain to trap Giratina and drain its energy.
"Vaporeon use Aurora Beam!"Denise ordered. "Torchic use Fire Spin!"
Vaporeon fired Aurora Beam causing Giratina to roar in pain while Torchic launched forward and blasted the legendary Pokémon with Fire Spin.
"Wait, Giratina! Is effected by Ice Type attacks? So it's a dragon type too!"Denise said in realisation."Use Aurora Beam again, Vaporeon!"
Vaporeon leapt up and unleashed Aurora Beam again.
Torterra stopped zapping away Giratina's energy, but the Renegade Pokémon remained active.
Giratina saw Vaporeon's Aurora Beam coming it's way and suddenly disappeared from sight.
"Where did Giratina go?!"Denise said in shock.
"Denise! That was Shadow Force!"Cynthia warned."Giratina is going to appear in front of your pokemon!"
Giratina suddenly reappeared to attack Torterra, Vaporeon and Torchic, sending them back.
"Torchic use Fire Spin!"Denise ordered.
Torchic was about to use Fire Spin, but Giratina roared and swatted him away with Shadow Claw.
The fire type bashed into a rock and collapsed onto the platform, much to Denise and her other Pokémon's shock.
"Torchic, no!"Denise exclaimed in fear.
Giratina then used Ominous Wind and blew the other three away.
As Denise stood back up, she saw Torterra and Vaporeon laying on the ground in pain.
"Torterra! Vaporeon!"Denise cried out as she ran towards her injured Pokémon. "Come on, you two! Just hang in there!"
Torchic noticed his trainer and injured teammates and became really worried.
But then, Giratina used Ancient Power and launched it straight towards Denise.
"Oh no!"Denise gasped.
Denise hugged Torterra and Vaporeon; preparing for the impact.
"Tor!"Torchic yelled worriedly.
The Chick Pokemon quickly stood up and ran towards his trainer and teammates before jumping in front of the Ancient Power and being struck by him.
Denise, Torterra and Vaporeon opened their eyes and gasped in horror at the sight of a smoke cloud that was in Torchic's place.
"Torchic!"Denise sobbed. "No!"
The Twinleaf girl looked down on the floor and developed some tears in her eyes, fearing the worse for her fire type.
"Vaporeon?"Vaporeon asked with a sad look.
"Terra."Torterra said in sorrow.
Giratina roared at them, getting ready to end this once and for all.
But then, a bright light came out from the smoke and instantly got Denise attention.
When the smoke clears away, Denise and her Pokémon could see Torchic standing in front of them and glowing brightly.
"What?"Denise asked softly.
Denise, Cynthia, Torterra and Vaporeon watched as Torchic began to change form while Giratina watched in silence.
The light soon disappeared from sight revealing a new Pokémon.
He was a bipedal, chicken-like Pokémon with most of his upper body was yellow while most of the lower body was orange. An orange, pointed design adorned the center of his waist at the dividing line of the two colours. He had orange eyes and a short wide beak. There was a feather crest on top of his head with three orange points while his tail was short and pointed. He also had three, sharp claws at the ends of his long arms and scaly, grey legs with well-developed thighs covered in shaggy feathers.
Torchic evolved into Combusken!
"No way!"Denise exclaimed with a big smile. "Torchic, you just evolved!"
Torterra and Vaporeon were in awe at the fire type evolving.
Combusken smirked and gave the others a thumbs up.
"Combusken!"Combusken sneered.
Denise brought out her Pokédex and scanned her newly evolved fire type.
"Combusken the Young Fowl Pokémon and the evolved form of Torchic."Denise's Pokédex buzzed. "During a battle, the hot flame in Combusken's body increases. It's kicks have outstanding destructive power."
Combusken suddenly lept forward and striked Giratina in the face with Focus Blast.
"Combusken learned Focus Blast!"Denise remarked.
Torterra and Vaporeon stood up and looked at Denise causing her to smile confidently.
"Your right, guys!"Denise replied firmly. "This is not over!"
Giratina roared again as he prepared to attack with Ancient Power.
"Torterra use Solar Beam! Vaporeon use Hydro Pump!"Denise ordered. "And Combusken, Fire Spin! Go!"
Torterra, Vaporeon and Combusken use Solar Beam, Hydro Pump and Fire Spin for a combination attack.
Giratina attempted to counter the attack with Ominous Wind, but was slightly overpowered and driven away.
The Renegade Pokémon laid on the ground for a moment before rising up again.
Denise and her three Pokémon watched quietly as Giratina's eyes no longer glowed red before flying away from them.
"Giratina seemed to have understood us."Cynthia said with a smile.
Denise rushed over to Torterra, Vaporeon and Combusken to hug them.
"Guys, we did it!"Denise laughed in joy."We stopped Giratina! I knew you can do it!"
Torterra smiled. "Torterra."
"Vaporeon."Vaporeon purred.
"Combusken."Combusken chuckled.
"The shadow pokemon was defeated?!"Cyrus growled, earning the group's attention. "You're doing so means this irrational world will remain in existence?! Does that make it impossible for me to create a new world? Even if I made new Red Chains, the new world can't be made! Why?! What compels you to protect the two worlds? Is spirit, a vague and incomplete thing, so important to you?!"
"The places we are born, the time we spend living, the languages we speak. We are all different."Cynthia replied. "But the presence of Pokemon unites us. We share our lives with our Pokemon and our happiness grows as we all become greater than we were alone. That is why we can battle and trade with anyone we choose..."
"SILENCE!"Cyrus roared in anger. "Enough of your blathering! That's how you justify spirit as something worthwhile?! That is merely humans hoping, deluding themselves that they are happy and safe! The emotions roiling inside me! Rage, hatred, frustration. These ugly emotions arise because of my own incomplete spirit! Enough. We will never see eye to eye. This, I promise you. I will break the secrets of the world. With that knowledge, I will create my complete and perfect world. One day, you will awaken to a world of my creation. A world without spirit."
Cyrus walked away before Cynthia looked at Denise.
"Since there is sadness, we can feel joy."Cynthia admitted. "When there is anger, compassion is born...let's go back home. The portal where Giratina was should lead back to our world. Giratina was written in legend as being on the other side of our world. It stands to reason that it has a link to the other side."
Denise returned her Pokémon except Combusken back into their Poké Balls and Cynthia went into the portal.
In Sandgem Town...
Gary, Professor Rowan and the scientists saw that the dark clouds in Mt. Coronet has disappeared which meant everything was back to normal.
"Attracting energy levels has completely ceased."A female scientist reported.
"I am concerned about Ash and his friends."Professor Rowan commented. "So, it's off to Mt. Coronet."
Back at Mt. Coronet...
Denise, Combusken and Cynthia returned back to the others before the portal to the distortion world closed.
Dawn rushed over to hug Denise, feeling happy she was safe.
"Denise, your back!"Dawn commented in relief. "I am so glad!"
"You guys made it!"Ash replied and notice Combusken. "Whoa, did Torchic evolved?"
"Yes."Denise replied with a smile. "Torchic evolved during the battle with Giratina."
"He fought bravely just like the rest of your Pokémon."Cynthia admitted.
Pikachu and Prinplup congratulated Combusken causing him to smile back at them in respond.
"What about Cyrus?"Brock asked.
"We won't be seeing him again, but it looks like we saved Sinnoh."Denise remarked.
"Then it's over, we actually won!"Lucas chuckled.
Combusken, Pikachu and Prinplup cheered at their victory as Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit flew above them in joy.
"It's certainly seems obviously to me, Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit could sense how much you care about Pokémon."Cynthia exclaimed with a smile. "There's no doubt about it."
"You mean it, really?"Ash asked.
"Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie, thanks for your help!"Denise thanked.
Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie leaves while saying goodbye to the heroes and the three disappeared.
"I wonder if will see them again?"Ash asked.
"No doubt!"Dawn agreed.
"Yeah."Brock replied.
"And I'm sure you will too."Cynthia assured.
"Nobody is ever going to believe we saw the creators of the Sinnoh region, right?"Lucas questioned.
"Obviously our rivals won't ever."Denise complemented lightly.
When the sun was setting, Gary and Professor Rowan arrived at Mt. Coronet had the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs secured while Officer Jenny and her officers arrested the rest of Team Galactic.
"No sweat, we'll get them back to Professor Carolina safe and sound."Gary stated.
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"Prinplup says it's counting on you."Dawn exclaimed.
"Good, you just leave it to us."Gary instructed.
"I know you can do it, Gary."Ash replied.
Denise smiled. "Your a great friend."
"It seems rather ironic that we were able to ascertain the Time-Space Legend in large measure because of Team Galactic."Professor Rowan declared.
"I still can't believe it either, Professor."Lucas chuckled.
Brock notice a troubled look on Looker's face.
"Looker, what's wrong?"Brock asked.
"I was just wonder where Team Rocket might've run off to."Looker admitted.
Team Rocket was making their escape in their air balloon.
"We beat Team Galactic at their own game!"James cheered.
"Sure did."Jessie giggled in amusement. "And now this old world is ours!"
"And once the boss gets win and this we'll get a win for y'all!"Meowth laughed.
"My kind of win."James added.
"Heave-yo!"Jessie remarked. "Let the wind blow!"
"Team Rocket's win place and show!"Team Rocket cheered in unison.
At Mt. Coronet...
Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, Charon and the Team Galactic Grunts were arrested as the Police locked them up.
"What happened to Cyrus?"Saturn asked.
"He got away by himself."Jupiter grumbled.
"He did?"Saturn said in disbelief.
"Which means it's the end of Team Galactic."Mars scowled.
Officer Jenny and the police officers took off with Team Galactic in custody.
"Because there is sadness, we cherish happiness and because there is anger, kindness is born."Cynthia explained and looked at the heroes. "Thank you all, Sinnoh is still here, because you protected it."
"Wait, you mean us?"Ash asked.
Lucas nodded. "Yes."
"Did she say we protected it?"Brock questioned.
"That's right. Beside that Team Galactic is defeated and done!"Denise admitted with a grateful smile. "So is Hunter J, her goons and her recruits! We saved the world together!"
"Combusken."Combusken chuckled.
"If that's true then it's because we had Prinplup, Mesprit and everyone else helping us out."Dawn giggled and looked at her starter Pokémon. "Isn't that right, Prinplup?"
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"Pikachu."Pikachu agreed.
