Chapter 154: The Fleeing Tower of Sunyshore!
After his battle against Flint, Ash was more than ready for his Gym Battle against Volkner.
Brock, Dawn, Denise, Helen and Flint were watching from the stands (and the Proprietor watching the battle on TV from his bar).
"The battle between Ash the Challenger and Volkner the Gym will now get underway!"the Robotic Referee announced. "Each side will use three Pokémon and the match will be over, when all three Pokémon on either side are unable to battle! In addition, only the Challenger will be allowed to substitiute Pokémon!"
Ash and Pikachu looked at Volkner and his Raichu.
"Just think if we win this battle, we're in the Sinnoh League."Ash said excitedly and looked at Pikachu. "You ready, Pikachu?"
"Pika pika!"Pikachu answered bravely.
"And begin!"the Robotic Referee ordered.
"Go, Luxray!"Volkner remarked.
Volkner threw out his Poké Ball and his Luxray emerged from it.
"Luxray!"
Volkner sent out his first Pokémon Luxray and the Gleam Eyes Pokémon landed on the battlefield.
"Whoa. Volkner has a Luxray just like I do."Denise thought in silent and looked at the face of Volkner's Luxray."He looks really strong."
"Grotle!"Ash responded. "I choose you!"
Ash threw out his Poké Ball and Grotle came out.
"Grotle!"
Grotle landed on the battlefield.
Luxray and Grotle glared at each other in silence.
"So that means Ash is putting his Grass Type Grotle against Volkner's Electric Type Luxray."Brock commented. "It looks like a clear case of matching by Type."
"Yeah, but Volkner's strong."Flint informed. "I just don't think Types will be all that important."
"I'm just so psyched to see my big brother in action again after so long."Helen remarked. "This is going to be great."
"Ash, come on!"Dawn encouraged. "Show them what you got!"
"Prinplup!"Prinplup chirped.
"Go for it, Ash!"Denise insisted. "We believe in you!"
"Combusken!"Combusken agreed.
"Alright, Grotle!"Ash spoke up. "Use Razor Leaf!"
Grotle started off with Razor Leaf to attack Luxray.
"Luxray, dodge and use Spark!"Volkner ordered.
Luxray was able to easily dodge Razor Leaf and strikes Grotle back with Spark.
"Grotle!"Ash shouted.
"Pika!"Pikachu gasped.
While a hard hit, luckily Grotle had defense and went back up.
"Oh, wow."Brock said with a frown. "That was some Spark."
"It sure was."Dawn replied. "But with Spark, I guess it was not very effective."
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"Just wait."Flint instructed. "See Volkner is just warming up."
"That's right."Helen chuckled. "Which means you guys haven't seen anything yet."
Denise didn't say and continued looking at the Gym Battle in front of them.
Volkner smirked at Ash.
"Alright, Ash."Volkner sneered. "Your next move."
"Well, I knew it wasn't going to be easy."Ash thought and suddenly smirked. "Then we'll just work harder. Alright, Grotle! Let's show them what we can do!"
"Grotle!"Grotle responded.
Suddenly, the Gym's power goes out which surprised everyone.
"Huh?"Ash said in confusion.
"What happened to the lights?"Dawn asked.
"The Gym's power must have went out."Denise assumed.
Helen frowned. "This never happened before."
Ash, Pikachu and Grotle rushed over to Volkner, Raichu and Luxray.
"What's going on, Volkner?"Ash questioned. "That's weird."
"Pika."Pikachu responded.
"Not sure."Volkner answered with his arms folded. "I guess we have to put our battle on hold until I've figured this out."
Volkner goes to check the switches of the gym to try and put the lights back on, but it didn't work.
"Come on."Flint demanded. "Don't keep us waiting in a time like this."
"I'm doing all that I can."Volkner stated and looked at the group. "Alright. It looks like the gym has been left completely without power."
Helen, Ash, Denise, Dawn and Brock gasped at Volkner's declaration.
"One, two…go!"Volkner and Flint said in unison.
Volkner and Flint then worked together to pull away the automatic doors.
"Automatic doors are a pain when they are not automatic."Flint complemented.
Then Officer Jenny rushed towards the group.
"Volkner."Officer Jenny said. "We've got problems."
Brock immediately became lovestruck at seeing Officer Jenny.
"Wow! Officer Jenny!"Brock remarked in joy and held Officer Jenny's hand. "I can never be with power without gazing into your eyes. It's like-"
Brock cried out in pain when Croagunk poison jabbed at the back.
"The opposite of this."Brock muttered.
Brock collapsed on the floor as Croagunk dragged him away.
"I see Brock's still the same guy I met back at the Tag Battle Tournament in Hearthome City."Helen said with a sheepish smile.
"Unfortunately."Denise retorted.
Officer Jenny brought her attention back on the group.
"Jenny, what's wrong?"Volkner questioned.
"I regret to inform you that all the power of Sunyshore City has been cut off."Officer Jenny declared.
The group became shocked upon hearing the whole areas of Sunyshore City were now without power.

"The thing is Sunyshore City is running entirely on Solar Power."Volkner exclaimed."The Solar Panels positioned everything absorbs collects the sun's energy and into Sunyshore Tower which functions as a power plant for the entire city."
"Then something must've happened at Sunyshore Tower!"Helen assumed in realisation."Let's go check it out!"
"Right."Volkner agreed and looked at Raichu. "Follow us, Raichu."
"Rai rai."Raichu responded.
Suddenly, the ground started shaking violently causing the Gym to get damaged.
The group spotted the Sunyshore Tower shaking and got wheels below it.
"The Tower!"Dawn gasped.
Everyone went in front of the Sunyshore Tower.
"Alright!"Flint shouted. "What's going on here?!"
Team Rocket began reciting their motto.
"Listen to the will from the top of the tower!"
"Our diabolical plan is beginning to flower!"
"On the Wind!"
"Pass the Stars!"
"Solar Power!"
"There is no electricity there!"
"And don't you know, not over there!"
"A blackout is by any other name just as black."
"When it comes to chaos, we got the hand."
"Jessie!"
"And James!"
"Meowth's the name!"
"Putting the do gooders in their place!"
"We're Team Rocket!"
"In your face!"
Officer Jenny, Flint, Volkner, Helen, Ash, Dawn, Denise and Brock glared at Team Rocket.
"Team Rocket!"Ash said angrily.
"Pikachu!"Pikachu growled.
"You dweebs again!"Denise scowled.
"Combusken!"Combusken retorted.
"You're the creeps who nearly ruined the Hearthome Collection!"Helen retorted.
Volkner looked at Ash and Denise.
"Team Rocket?"Volkner questioned.
"They're part of a group of villains who enjoy stealing other people's Pokémon."Brock exclaimed.
"You lose! Corrections!"Jessie called out. "Stealing Pokémon is not in our agenda today!"
"I hope you all got every word!"Meowth sneered. "Cause when we take this Tower, you think we'll be the Team of the hour!"
"Wobbu!"Wobbuffet agreed.
"What was that?!"Volkner demanded.
"So that will lead me to believe you're the ones who cut the power of the city?"Officer Jenny assumed.
"You were listening!"Jessie sneered. "You can hear and think!"
"We're stealing this Tower of power and all of its perks, but we won't waste a watt so don't waste your time worrying your twerpish heads!"James remarked.
"Cause this baby's headed for headquarters, stat!"Meowth cackled. "Now we just need to send the Tower to headquarters!"
The group went out of the way as Team Rocket bound the tower to a vehicle and move elsewhere.
"Keep those towers rolling!"Jessie, James and Meowth said in unison.
The group glared at the direction that Team Rocket fled from him.
"They burn me up!"Ash retorted.
"Pika!"Pikachu growled.
"More like twist our nerve."Denise muttered.
Combusken frowned. "Combusken."
Volkner glanced at the side where the Sunyshore Tower previously was located to.
"I will not let my tower wide up in the hands of criminals!"Volkner vowed before glancing at his younger sister and Raichu. "Helen! Raichu! Let's go!"
"Raichu!"Raichu said with a nod.
"We're right behind you, big brother!"Helen assured.
Volkner goes after Team Rocket with Helen and Raichu.
"I'm coming too!"Flint stated.
Ash looked at his friends.
"Let's go too!"Ash insisted.
The heroes and Flint follow after their friends, leaving Officer Jenny by herself.
"But what about-"Officer Jenny started.
"Officer Jenny!"
Officer Jenny turned around and saw Nurse Joy rushing towards her.
"Nurse Joy?"Officer Jenny said in confusion.
Everyone else continued chasing after the fleeing Sunyshore Tower.
"What in the world could they want to do with the Sunyshore Tower for?!"Flint demanded.
"Nothing good!"Denise declared. "That's for sure!"
Raichu and Pikachu started running ahead until all of them see Team Rocket ready to power up a rocket to make their escape with the Sunyshore Tower.
"It's a rocket!"Volkner exclaimed.
"Ready for take off!"Meowth's voice announced. "10, 9, 8, 7…"
"Oh no!"Helen panicked. "They're already getting ready to blast off!"
"Not if I got anything to say about it!"Ash retorted.
"3, 2, 1…blast off!"Meowth's voice cackled.
Flint went on the rocket as Volkner and Raichu joined him.
"Raichu, jump!"Volkner insisted.
Ash, Pikachu, Denise and Combusken were the last ones to go on top of the rocket.
"Come on, Pikachu!"Ash encouraged.
"Hold on tight, Combusken!"Denise instructed.
Volkner, Flint, Ash, Denise, Pikachu, Raichu and Combusken managed to get on the rocket while Helen, Dawn and Brock stayed behind.
"Ash!"Dawn called out. "Denise!"
"Volkner!"Helen shouted. "Flint!"
Helen, Dawn, Prinplup and Brock covered their eyes from the heat and steam from beneath the rocket as it took off in the sky.
Volkner looked at the two Trainers.
"Ash! Denise!"Volkner responded. "Are you both alright?"
"I'm fine!"Ash assured.
"Me too!"Denise added.
Flint started climbing up to reach the top of the tower.
"Good!"Flint informed. "Just make sure to keep mov-"
Suddenly, a strong wind came forward causing Flint to lose his grip on the tower and fall into the sea.
"Flint!"Ash shouted.
Distracted, Ash lost his grip as well and began to fall.
"Ash!"Denise gasped.
But Denise quickly grabbed Ash's hand to help him back with Volkner's help.
"We got you, Ash!"Volkner assured.
Volkner and Denise brings Ash to where they held onto as Pikachu, Combusken and Raichu stood close to them.
"Thanks, Dennie and Volkner."Ash thanked. "That was close."
"Yeah."Denise said with a small smile.
"You're okay now. Look."Volkner commented and the two trainers saw a hatch opened. "That hatch is open. I should know. After all, I'm the one who built it. Let's go."
"Right!"Ash and Denise answered in unison.
Volkner, Ash, Denise, Raichu, Pikachu and Combusken went inside the hatch to enter the tower itself.
Flint gasped when he emerged from the sea.
"Man!"Flint retorted with a frown. "That was awful!"
"Flint!"Brock called out.
"Over here!"Helen shouted.
Flint looked to his left and saw Helen, Dawn, Prinplup and Brock at the other side.
"Are you alright?"Dawn asked.
"Yeah!"Flint assured with a wave. "I'm fine."
Helen, Dawn, Prinplup and Brock smiled upon hearing Flint was alright before bringing their attention on the fleeing Sunshore Tower which was where their other companions were.
Inside the Sunyshore Tower…
Volkner, Ash, Denise, Raichu, Pikachu and Combusken were walking in the hallway of the Tower.
"I sure hope Flint is okay."Ash commented.
"Pika."Pikachu replied.
"Flint is strong."Volkner informed. "He'll be alright."
"Rai rai."Raichu said.
"He is a member of the Elite Four."Denise remarked.
"Combusken."Combusken agreed.
Volkner looked at the ceiling.
"Looks like they somehow were able to control the tower from the observatory."Volkner assumed.
Suddenly, the Sunyshore Tower moved down causing the group to panic and dropped in a closed entrance.
"Okay."Volkner responded. "Looks like they have levelled out."
In the Pokémon Center..
Officer Jenny was told that Ash, Denise and Volkner were in the Tower itself by Flint, Helen, Brock and Dawn.
"Huh?"Officer Jenny said in disbelief. "Volkner, Ash and Denise are in the Tower?"
"Right."Flint agreed with a nod. "But if I know my buddy Volkner, he'll have that Tower back in no time."
"And he's my big brother too."Helen remarked proudly. "He can handle anything."
Then Nurse Joy came into the room.
"Okay."Nurse Joy said while holding a generator wire. "Everything is ready to move."
Brock became lovestruck at seeing Nurse Joy.
"Yay! Nurse Joy!"Brock cheered excitedly and began flirting with Nurse Joy. "One look at you and my power meter is on 10! You give me such a jolt!"
Croagunk poison jabbed Brock again and he collapsed on the floor before dragging him away.
"Along with you know who."Brock muttered.
Officer Jenny looked at Nurse Joy.
"Thank you."Officer Jenny thanked. "Since the backup generator here in the Pokemon Center is broken down. They've been working non stop to get it back online."
Nurse Joy looked at Flint, Brock, Helen and Dawn.
"Unfortunately, there are a lot of Pokémon here that need serious care and they can't afford to be without it much longer."Nurse Joy declared. "Which leaves us with one thing to do."
"What's that, Nurse Joy?"Dawn asked.
Officer Jenny brings two bikes to power the generator.
"We use these."Officer Jenny declared.
"People power?"Flint said with a smile. "Great idea. I like it."
Flint goes on one of the bicycle to help power up the generator.
"You may not know this, but I used to be quite the cyclist back then!"Flint bragged. "Alright!"
Helen smiled sheepishly as Flint peddled on the bicycle he rode on.
"Come on, Brock!"Flint encouraged. "Time to get in with the programming and grab a bike!"
"Sure."Brock answered.
Brock went on the second bike and started riding on it.
"Wonderful! Thank you both!"Nurse Joy thanked. "Keep it up, boys!"
"You got it!"Flint and Brock replied in unison.
Helen, Dawn and Prinplup looked at Nurse Joy.
"Is there anything we could do, Nurse Joy?"Helen asked.
"We would like to help."Dawn declared.
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
In the Sunyshore Tower…
VVolkner, Raichu, Ash, Pikachu, Denise and Combusken arrived to another location of the Tower.
"Ash, I feel badly that our Gym Battle was rudely interrupted and, Denise, you were looking forward to have your Gym Battle next."Volkner said. "Please forgive me."
Ash and Denise smiled at Volkner.
"It's alright, Volkner."Denise assured kindly."It's not your fault."
"Yeah. Don't worry about it."Ash agreed."We got to get your Tower back."
"Our Sunyshore City must be protected."Volkner declared.
Raichu smiled. "Rai rai."
The group began to walk ahead.
"That's where the City's name comes from, correct?"Denise assumed.
"You've got that theory right, Denise."Volkner stated."Sunyshore City is known for its bright sunlight. It's the perfect name for the perfect city."
Ash immediately realised the Sunyshore City's name comes from the amount of sunlight.
"So, then that's why you built all those solar panels and Sunyshore Tower?"Ash assumed.
"That's right."Volkner replied."The truth is Sunyshore Tower is what makes Sunyshore City. That's why I have to get it back."
Volkner, Raichu, Ash, Pikachu, Denise and Combusken arrived to the door to the observatory.
"This is it. The entrance to the observatory."Volkner declared. "You two ready?"
"Ready."Ash and Denise answered in unison.
Before Volkner, Ash and Denise could get to the door to the observatory, they got caught in a cage with their Pokémon.
Team Rocket knew they were in the tower!
"Now isn't that sweet?"Jessie sneered. "We've been watching you losers from the moment you were onboard."
"But I regret to inform you've come to your last little package!"James admitted.
Ash gritted his teeth and looked at Pikachu.
"Quick, Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"Ash ordered.
"Raichu, use Thunder!"Volkner ordered.
Raichu used Thunder and Pikachu used Thunderbolt, but the cage absorbed their power.
"We've recycled every bolt and jolt you can dig out!"Meowth cackled."You know what that means? Team Rocket is feeling great at the scene!"
"No you don't!"Ash declared and took out a Poké Ball. "Gible, I choose you!"
Ash's Poké Ball opened and Gible came out.
"A word of advice, little twerpette!"Jessie said evilly."We've made our grand cage fire proof, so don't waste your Combusken's talent on trying to melt it down!"
A smug smile grew on Denise's face.
"You creeps may have made your cage fire and electric proof, but you've forgotten that Combusken's also a Fighting Type!"Denise retorted."Combusken, use Focus Blast!"
Combusken used Focus Blast and crashed the cage, setting his companions free and shocking Team Rocket.
"Hey! No fair!"Meowth complained."We don't wanna deal with a Pokémon with beating up problems!"
"That was excellent!"Volkner remarked.
"Rai rai!"Raichu agreed.
"Alright, Gible! Your turn!"Ash informed. "Use Rock Smash!"
Gible crashed the door of the observatory and gnaws everything.
Including where Jessie, James and Meowth stood.
"Sharpen your own rocks!"Meowth protested.
"Get away from that twit!"James snapped.
"You have an eating disorder!"Jessie retorted.
Volkner, Raichu, Ash, Pikachu, Denise and Combusken came into the observatory to confront Team Rocket.
Denise brought out Gardevoir to help her and their companions.
"Gible, return!"Ash ordered.
Ash returned Gible in his Poké Ball.
"Team Rocket!"Ash spoke up. "Time to return the Sunyshore Tower!"
"Pi pika!"Pikachu snapped.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way!"Denise warned."That's up to you!"
"Com combusken!"Combusken growled.
"Gardevoir."Gardevoir said gently.
Team Rocket glared at the two Trainers.
"No way hosay, twerpette!"Jessie scowled. "Time to return you!"
"There is nothing worse than defective twerps!"James retorted.
"Seviper, you're on!"Jessie declared.
"Carnivine!"James said and took out his Poké Ball. "Come out too!"
James sends out Carnivine and Jessie sends out Seviper.
Carnivine started biting James' head.
"Not again!"James complained as he tried to get Carnivine off him. "Not during the fight!"
"Raichu, use Thunder!"Volkner ordered.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"Ash ordered. "Let's go!"
Pikachu used Thunderbolt and Raichu used Thunder, but the attacks were absorbed.
Ash, Volkner and Denise were stunned at what they saw.
"Hello!"Meowth sneered. "When you truly go brainiac, you recycle everything!"
Raichu and Pikachu glared at their enemies.
"Seviper, Poison Tail!"Jessie ordered.
"Carnivine, use Vine Whip!"James ordered
Carnivine used Vine Whip and Seviper used Poison Tail to hurt Raichu and Pikachu.
"As if I'll let you get away with it!"Denise shouted. "Combusken, use Peck! Gardevoir, use Ice Punch!"
Combusken launched forward and attacked Carnivine with Peck while Gardevoir attacked Seviper with Ice Punch.
"This twerpette is getting on my nerves more than the first two from Kanto and Hoenn!"Jessie scowled. "Seviper, use Bite!"
"Follow suite, Carnivine!"James ordered.
Carnivine and Seviper rushed to attack Combusken and Gardevoir.
"Okay, Grotle!"Ash declared and threw out a Poké Ball. "Block them both!"
Ash sends Grotle, who tackles Carnivine and Seviper.
"Grotle, awesome!"Ash praised. "Next follow up with Razor Leaf! Let's go!"
As he goes to attack with Razor Leaf, Grotle suddenly glowing in a white colour.
Team Rocket watched the sight in shock while Ash, Denise, Volkner, Raichu, Pikachu, Combusken and Gardevoir in amazement.
"Whoa!"Denise gasped.
"Grotle!"Ash remarked.
"Grotle is evolving!"Volkner declared.
Once Grotle changed form and shape, a familiar Pokémon appeared in his place.
Grotle evolved to Torterra!
"Torterra!"
Ash, Denise, Volkner, Raichu, Pikachu, Combusken and Gardevoir smiled at seeing Grotle evolved.
"It's Torterra!"Ash commented.
"Pika!"Pikachu cheered.
Torterra unleashed Leaf Storm to attack Seviper and Carnivine, sending them crashing on Team Rocket.
"Wow!"Volkner replied. "Torterra learned Leaf Storm!"
"That's amazing!"Denise chuckled.
Ash smiled at Torterra.
"Torterra!"Ash complemented. "lt's so cool that you learn Leaf Storm!"
"Terra!"Torterra said.
Team Rocket became annoyed at seeing Torterra.
"Hey! No fair!"Jessie complained. "Isn't sudden evolution against the rule?!"
"If you twerps insist, the least you can do is use an electric type so that we can reside it!"James argued.
"Wobbu!"Wobbuffet agreed.
"Well, we're just getting warmed up!"Meowth declared before glancing at Seviper and Carnivine. "Now on your feet and fight!"
Seviper and Carnivine move in to attack Torterra.
"Okay!"Ash spoke up. "Torterra use Leaf Storm!"
Torterra unleashed another Leaf Storm, sending Team Rocket blasting off.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"Team Rocket screamed and disappeared in the sky.
The hole caused by this blast-off caused everything to suck into the air, but Volkner pressed a button and the hole was sealed.
Ash, Denise, Torterra, Raichu, Pikachu, Combusken and Gardevoir all sighed in relief when they realised they were now safe.
"Looks like we are now safe."Denise commented.
"Combusken."Combusken said.
Gardevoir nodded. "Gardevoir."
"We did it, Volkner."Ash remarked.
"Pika pika."Pikachu said.
"But there's still one problem."Volkner stated. "We've got to bring the Tower back to Sunyshore City."
Volkner pressed a few buttons.
"I've got it. We still have their rocket."Volkner commented and looked at the Electric Type Pokémon. "Raichu and Pikachu, I need your help!"
"Rai rai!"Raichu agreed.
"Pika pika!"Pikachu replied.
Denise took out one of her Poké Ball.
"If it's electricity we need, I know the right Pokémon to use!"Denise stated and tossed forward her Poké Ball. "Luxray, come on out!"
Back at the Pokémon Center…
Brock became exhausted by cycling on his bicycle.
"I've never been more exhausted in my entire laugh."Brock whined.
Dawn, Prinplup and Helen rushed up to Brock.
"Come on, Brock."Dawn encouraged. "We need more power. Hang in there."
"Prin prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"You can do it."Helen declared. "Don't give up."
"You don't understand."Brock said.
Then Nurse Joy came forward.
"Please, Brock."Nurse Joy begged. "Do it for me. Can't you see I need you?"
"You need me?!"Brock said lovingly. "I'll fight until I break these bars!"
With another persuasion from Nurse Joy, Brock cycles even more.
"Keep it up!"Flint insisted.
Nurse Joy, Dawn, Prinplup and Helen suddenly see a light shining in the sky and spotted the Sunyshore Tower.
"Is that-"Dawn started.
"Hey!"Helen gasped. "That's the Sunyshore Tower!"
"And it's heading right toward us!"Nurse Joy panicked.
The Sunyshore Tower almost crashed to the Pokémon Center, but managed to pass.
Suddenly, the power in the Pokémon Center came on which meant the Proprietor and the repairmen managed to get the generator running again.
"The power is back."Flint commented.
"It looks like they were able to repair the generator."Nurse Joy said and bowed in relief. "Thank goodness!"
In the Sunyshore Tower…
Raichu, Pikachu and Denise's Luxray powered the tower so it can land safely using their electric moves.
"We're passing over the Sunyshore Gym!"Volkner declared while moving the controls. "Breaking system engage! Prepare to land!"
Denise lost her balance, but Ash was able to catch her as the two of them landed near Torterra.
"Volkner-"Ash started.
"Hang on, everyone!"Volkner instructed. "Have faith in me! After all, I'm the one who built this Tower!"
Raichu, Pikachu and Denise's Luxray continued powering the Tower while Volkner piloted it.
The Gym Leader of Sunyshore City then carefully moved the tower until he saw the clear spot on the screen.
Once they landed safely, the group smiled at seeing the view of Sunyshore City as well as having the tower back in its place.
"Way to go, Volkner."Ash declared.
Denise smiled. "Yep."
Raichu, Pikachu and Denise's Luxray continued powering the tower while Volkner piloted it.
The Gym Leader of Sunyshore city then carefully moved the tower until he saw the clear spot on the screen.
"Go!"Volkner shouted.
Though rough, Volkner managed to land the tower back to the place.
Once they landed safely, the group smiled at seeing the view of Sunyshore City as well as having the tower back in its place.
"Way da go, Volkner."Ash declared.
"That was one bumpy ride."Denise remarked.
"Thanks."Volkner thanked.
Later that Evening…
Flint, Helen, Dawn and Brock learn Grotle evolved to Torterra.
"Wow."Brock commented. "So Grotle evolved to Torterra."
"He looks just like yours, Denise."Helen giggled.
Denise smiled. "Yep."
Ash scanned Torterra with his Pokédex.
"It's so cool that you have a Torterra like my sister now, Ash."Dawn said.
"Torterra the Continent Pokémon and the evolved form of Grotle."Ash's Pokédex buzzed."Its large back and sanitary nature offer an ideal place for smaller Pokémon to build their nests."
"Nice to see you evolved from Grotle, Torterra."Dawn remarked.
"Prinplup."Prinplup agreed.
Torterra nodded. "Terra."
Volkner brings his attention on Ash and Denise.
"Ash and Denise, as you both can see I'm going to need some time before I can have a Battle with the two of you."Volkner informed. "But I'll let you both know when I have everything back in order around here."
Ash, Denise, Pikachu and Combusken smiled at Volkner.
"No problem."Ash assured. "In the mean time, we'll be training until you're ready to go."
"And we'll look forward to it."Denise chuckled.
"Pikachu."Pikachu said.
"Combusken."Combusken remarked.
"Good."Volkner responded.
Flint and Helen smiled at the Twinleaf twins.
"Hey, Dawn. You and Denise are both entering the Grand Festival?"Flint assumed. "Knock them dead."
"Good luck to both of you."Helen chuckled."I'll be watching you guys while helping my big brother repair the Gym and I know you'll take Amy out of the ball park again in a more powerfully fun way, Denise."
"Thanks."Dawn thanked.
"Prinplup."Prinplup chirped.
"That means a lot, Helen."Denise complemented kindly."Because I know Amy won't stand a chance against me since I have a secret weapon against her which is the full power of my team along with Vibrava."
Then the heroes waved goodbye to Volkner, Raichu, Helen and Flint while beginning to make their return journey to Lake Valor so the Twinleaf twins can compete in the Grand Festival.
