The next day, I said, "We're planning to spend the day on the beach."
"We plan to have a picnic here," said Dawn.
"And, my dad wants us to go back by 5:00 pm for dinner," said Kristy.
"Okay," said April.
We had a picnic at noon for lunch. That was when Kristy came up with an idea.
"Do you know what? I wonder if we could use this campground for a BSC camp next summer," said Kristy. "We can provide a bus for the kids to spend the summer here up to August."
"That would be a fun idea," said April.
"We can ask someone next year," said Kayla.
"I don't see why not," said Kristy.
"And, when the sign ups get closer, we'll mention that," I said.
"The kids can spend the day on the beach on the sunny days like this," said Stacey.
We spoke like this all day. We decided to go back to the RV by 3:00 pm so we can change and cool down for a bit until supper.
"We will be heading for Vermont tomorrow for another two days," said Mr. Spier.
"We'll be staying in a condo this time," said Mr. Thomas.
"Really?" asked Kristy.
"What part is that?" asked Mary Anne.
"Jay Peak," said Mr. Spier.
The following day, we left for Vermont. We got there by late afternoon. They checked in and had an early dinner at the buffet before we went to the condos.
"We'll be having three rooms," said Mr. Thomas.
We did how we did it with the RVs only Mary Anne would be with Kayla, Kaylee, and April in one of the rooms. It was cool to have our own suites.
"When can we do our activities?" asked Kristy.
"We can do them tomorrow since we'll be here for another day," said Mr. Thomas.
"Okay," said Kristy.
"That's how we usually do it to give us time to get settled in," said Mary Anne.
The following day, we hung out while we did our activities.
"We got a little surprise. We'll be watching a hockey game right here tonight," said Mr. Thomas.
"That's so cool," said Kristy.
That night, we get to order food from the snack bar inside the ice arena.
"This is cool to watch it right here," said Stacey.
"I agree," said Mary Anne.
The game started at 7:00 pm and ended about 2 1/2 hours later.
"That was fun," I said as we headed back to the condo.
"We'll be flying to Alaska from here tomorrow since it's a long drive, so they said we can leave our RVs here," said Mr. Thomas.
"Sounds good," said Kristy.
"It's about 13 hours away," said Mr. Thomas.
"Wow," said Dawn.
"We got a shuttle for the airport early in the morning. We booked it last week," said Mr. Thomas. "We'll be there for two days. When we get back, we'll come to the RV and continue on from here since we'll be checking out before we leave for Alaska."
"Where will we be after that?" asked Stacey.
"Canada, but it's not far. We're on the borderline of Canada when we get to that highway," said Mr. Spier.
When we got back to the condos, we had to get ready for bed early and went to bed right away.
The next day, we were at the airport for Alaska that fly out of the countries. We were there the following day. We rented two big vans to a hotel. It was a bit chilly.
"Was this why you asked us to bring jackets?" I asked.
"Partly, yes. It's usually cold at night, but it's warm during the day," said Mr. Spier.
"We're going on dog sleighing tonight and watch the race tomorrow," said Mr. Thomas.
"That sounds fun," said Stacey.
"We get picked right at the hotel," said Mr. Spier.
"Nice," said Dawn.
"Also, you'll see what we'll be seeing tonight," said Mr. Thomas.
That night, we were outside when the two dog sleighs came to pick us up and went for a ride. We saw the northern lights during that time.
"That's so pretty," said Mary Anne.
"Especially at night," said Carlos.
When we got back, Mr. Thomas said, "Does anyone want hot chocolate?"
"Sure," I said.
"Do they have dark chocolate?" asked Stacey.
"They do," said Mr. Spier.
That's what we did.
"That was fun," said Kristy.
"What time is that race?" I asked.
"About noon," said Mr. Thomas. "They'll be doing a pizza party before then, but Stacey can get something she can eat. They'll be including salads. Also, we can also see it in front of the hotel, so we don't need to leave here."
"That's a good idea," said Kayla.
The next day, we had the pizza party and went outside to get ready to watch the race. At noon, the race was about to begin. Most of us are bundled up because it was starting to get cold- Mary Anne gets sick easily. It lasted two hours. We went to explore gift shops that were closed during the race.
"Our flight is late tomorrow afternoon, but we don't have to get up early. It's not until around 4:00 pm. The manager of the Jay Peak said we can spend the night there if we get in late," said Mr. Spier.
"Sounds good," said April.
