Dawn- California, here I am! I can't wait to see my friends here the following day! I bet Stephie would want to see Mary Anne again. Sure enough, she was excited to see her favorite sitter.

The next day, we were heading to California and some of us get to spend the two nights with my dad, stepmom, and Jeff. Richard and Mr. Thomas planned to do the same thing.

"I can't wait to see Stephie again," said Mary Anne.

"I bet she's our mystery guest," I said.

"Me, too," said Mary Anne.

They have been close since Mary Anne first baby-sat for Stephie. They had a couple of things in common: Stephie's mom passed on when she was a baby and she grew up with a strict. Only she have asthma and knows how to handle it.

Later that afternoon, at my house, I noticed Stephie was there.

Mary Anne and I said, "Hi."

"Hi, Dawn," said Stephie.

"Hi," said Mary Anne.

"Mary Anne!" Stephie exclaimed as she went to hug her.

"Carol asked us ahead of time to watch Stephie. She just got here this morning," said Dad.

Don't get confused. That's my stepmom's name, too.

"They went out of town for a few days," said Stephie.

"Do you want us to take over while we're here?" I asked.

"Sure," said Dad. "I'll take over until they come back."

"Okay," I said.

"Stephie may want to spend some time with Mary Anne, too," said Dad.

"Of course," said Mary Anne.

"I don't mind," said Marci.

Although I didn't like that during our vacation time, but they barely see each other, so that was understandable.

That night, Stephie wanted to sit with Mary Anne at dinnertime, so we decided to let them sit together.

The next day, we decided to take a drive into town. My California friends got permission to be with us for the day! I couldn't wait for that! They would be meeting us at the Café for lunch and would be with us for the rest of the day.

"Can I come?" asked Stephie.

"Sure," I said.

"We don't mind," said Kristy.

"I love having you," said Mary Anne.

At lunch, my best friend, Sunny said, "Too bad you're here until tomorrow."

"Yeah, I know, time flies, but we'd be going to Texas next," I said.

"Wow," said Maggie.

"That sounds like fun," said Jill.

"We plan to do this more often," I said.

"Nice," said Sunny.

"Actually, we're spending the night in New Mexico first. We'll be there tomorrow night," said Mary Anne.

"Oh, yeah, my dad mentioned that," said Kristy.

After lunch, we were able to hang out for the rest of the afternoon.

We were browsing in the gift shops for awhile until it was time to go.

"Already?" asked Sunny.

"I know," I said.

"It means we just got here," said Sunny.

"But this was a fun day," said Maggie.

"It sure was," said Jill.

We went back to my house after bringing them home.

"I ordered Chinese for take-out, so I just need to go pick it on our way home," said Dad.

"Sounds good," I said.

"I agree," said Stacey.

At the house, we were having dinner. Afterwards, we did a movie night for a few hours after we changed up. We did a few movies until we had to get ready for bed.

"We don't have to get up early, but we'll have to let your family sleep, including Stephie," said Mr. Thomas.

"Why don't we go sleep in our RVs to make it easier for us?" I asked.

"You have a good point. We can arrange that," said Mr. Spier.

After we said our good nights, we went to our RVs. We went to bed at 10:30 pm.
