1988:

Shawn and Gus were at the museum with their class and Shawn's father tagged along as a chaperone. The woman at the museum was telling a story about the painting, but Shawn wasn't really paying attention.

"Shawn you need to pay attention, Henry said to his son.

But this is boring," Shawn said. "And I don't get it."

"What don't you get?" Henry asked.

"The painting, I don't get the story," Shawn said.

"You know Shawn art isn't always understandable, but whoever is behind the art work has a vision," Henry explained.

"But this is just lines, even I can do that," Shawn said.

"But when you do it, it's not art," Henry said.

"Why not?" Shawn asked.

Henry didn't know how to answer that. "Well..."

"Dad?"

"Because it's just not when you do it," Henry said.

"And this masterpiece sold for only 140,000.00 dollars at the time and is now worth about a million," The museum lady said.

"If you had the money you would pay that much for that painting?" Shawn asked.

"For just those lines, absolutely not," Henry said.

Present day.

Shawn and Gus were walking down the pier and saw Juliet standing talking to a woman, The two men walked over to it.

"Hey Jules."

"Shawn, Gus."

"And who is this?' Shawn asked.

"This is Sasha Nash, my best friend from college, Juliet said.

"Nice to meet you, Shawn said.

"So you guys work at the police department too? Sasha asked.

"Not really, we work together," Shawn said. "Shawn Spencer psychic detective."

"Psychic?" Sasha asked.

"Yes, I'm, Shawn said. And this here is my partner," Funny Feet Fletcher.

"That's not my name, Shawn!" Gus said. "The name is Burton Guster, but you can just say Gus."

"Hi Gus."

"Hello."

"So psychic detective what can you tell find out about me," Sasha said.

"Let's take a shot," Shawn said.

Shawn looked closely at Sasha; he saw small paint splatters on her shoes, The notebook that she had in her hand had a special written S on it and a pass from the Santa Barbara museum sticking out of her bag a bit.

"I get from the spirits that you are very artsy and I see the Santa Barbara museum," Shawn said.

"That's amazing," Sasha said in amazement. "How do you know that?"

"It's my gift," Shawn said.

"I'm helping with the "Future Artists Now" exhibit," Sasha said.

"That's great, it's important that something for the future," Gus said in a very flirting matter, but Sasha didn't seem all that into it.

"Yeah, I was just about to take Julie to the museum for a little sneak peek," Sasha said.

"Julie?" Shawn and Gus asked.

"That's always what I call Juliet," Sasha explained.

"We get it," Gus said.

"Would you guys like to join us? Sasha asked, she turned to Juliet. You don't mind, do you Julie?

"No, of course not, Juliet said.

Shawn and Gus went with Juliet and Sasha to the museum. Shawn noticed right away that something was about to happen when he saw a couple of men from the museum talking.

"Hey Sasha what's going on over there?" Shawn asked.

"Oh they are making preparations for a painting that is coming here, "The Lily Valley", Sasha explained.

"That's an expensive painting, worth millions," Gus said.

"9.5 million to be exact," Sasha said.

"You know a lot about the painting," Shawn noticed.

"It's my favorite painting, I've looked at it so many times," Sasha said.

"And you wrote an article about it once, right?" Juliet remembered.

"Yes, I did," Sasha said. "But we're not here for that now, we're here for the other exhibit."

Shawn, Gus and Juliet walked with Nancy to a large room, where there were all different works of art.

"These works are all awesome," Gus said.

"And they were really all made by unknown artists?" Juliet asked.

"Yes," Sasha said.

"And is any of it yours?" Shawn asked.

"Why don't you try to guess Mr. Psychic," Sasha said.

Shawn looked around at each work of art, his eye fell on a sculpture that had at the bottom the same little S that Sasha had on her notebook.

"The one there," Shawn said, he pointed to the sculpture

"Very impressive," Sasha said.

"Sash, that's really beautiful," Juliet said, she walked over the her friends sculpture and took a closer look.

"Thank you," Sasha said.

Shawn walked toward a sculpture of man and took the same pose. Sasha began to giggle.

"What do you think, am I sculpture worthy?" Shawn asked Sasha.

"In my opinion, yes," Sasha replied.

"Jules would you buy a sculpture of me?" Shawn asked.

"Shawn."

"Admit it, you know I'd look great in bronze."

"Would you buy one of me?" She asked.

"Oh abosolutely," Shawn replied.

"What about it Ms. Nash let's make this happen," Shawn said.

"I'll see when I have time," Sasha siad.

"Sweet," Shawn said, giving Sasha a wink, causing Sasha to blush a little.

"Let's get on with the tour," Sasha said.

As they continued walking through the museum Shawn saw a man standing at the top of the stairs and was talking on the phone, he saw the man fighting sweat from his forehead and loosening his tie.

"Who is that sweaty looking guy up there?" Shawn asked.

"That's Neil Saunders, he's one the museum educators," Sasha explained.

Neil let out a groan, dropped his phone from his hands, grabbed his stomach and paced back and forth in disorientation.

"It's hurts," he said.

"Neil are you okay?" Sasha asked.

Neil didn't answer, he stumbeld toward the stairs, he walked down a few steps and then he fell over the railing. Neil lay lifeless at the bottom of the stairs.

"Oh my god Neil!" Sasha yelled.

Juliet ran to Neil and felt his neck. "He is dead."

"But could that be so sudden? Sasha asked.

"Well you don't survive a fall like that, Gus pointed out.

Shawn looked closely at Neil and noticed something strange near his mouth.

"This wasn't an accident," Shawn said.

"What do you mean Shawn?" Juliet asked.

"I'm telling you he was murdered," Shawn said.
